Lightening flashed across the sky followed by a quick rumble of thunder.
Zedena stood with a single hand to the cold glass window watching the rain beat down in sheets. It had been like this for hours and the poor girl could feel herself getting antsy from being in her room so long. Truth was she didn’t care about being inside when it was her choice. One of her favorite weekend events was to lie in bed and read all day. However, when she was forced to do something beyond her will, Zedena got annoyed. That indepence streak really became a bother every now and then.
With a huff as the rain picked up, Zedena turned from her window and glanced around the room. Everything was clean and picked up. What more could she do there?
That was when she remembered something of grave importance: she had a book due back to the school library that day!
Grabbing her bag and the book, Zedena set off from her chambers and down the hall. Most of it was quiet with others sleeping in or just staying inside but she wondered how bad the library would be.

"Please don't be closed, please don't be closed..." Whispered the girl frantically as she ran down the hall. Lea had two books she'd finished ahead of schedule, and if she didn't get something new to read tonight, she didn't know what she'd do. Everything else in her room had been exhausted. Her flowers were pressed, her hair ribbons made, her bells shined, her school work done, her...Ugh, the rain had made her more productive than usual. If she didn't find something, she'd expire of boredom tonight. To expire of, was that how you used that phrase? She'd never used it before, so she hoped so. It would have to be looked up before she used it in public.
By the time this train of thought expired, she'd arrived at the library's massive door. Oh, how she loved this school for the one attribute. Luckily, the late hour meant she could have it all to herself, or atleast almost.
So, without further ado, Lea pushed her way through the doors and made her way to the shelves.

Another bolt of lightening crashed across the sky and shone through the large windows of the library. As Zedena had hoped, it was empty…mostly. Which meant there wasn’t a question when she slipped in and returned the book. However, she had to wonder if one of the titles she had been looking for was finally in.
Last week she had come looking for it, a book on divinity and readings, only to find that once again, it was checked out. Who would have thought it was so popular? Unless some foolish girl was trying to cast a silly love spell…
Zedena only rolled her eyes at the thought as she walked down into the shelves and began scanning. So lost in her own world she didn’t notice she was sharing the row with another girl.
