Sailor Pasiphae was still getting used to the idea of having to perform a 'patrol' of Destiny City. She was smart enough to understand the need for it; she was not lazy or trying to avoid it. She just didn't know how well she was going to do if she met anything other than the weakest of youmas.
The Shame Senshi was not, however, an irresponsible person, and she took her powers (however limited she felt they were) seriously. So, she was currently walking as quietly as her heeled shoes would allow, examining the back alleys of the shopping district for anything out of the ordinary.

It wasn't the first time that Pasiphae had had a silent stalker of her own. Hiro had spooted her earlier in the week, but held off on approaching until he checked with the information source that Tanzanite had provided him. General Zinkenite had been - okay, maybe 'happy' wasn't quite the word. General Zinkenite had confirmed that Pasiphae was a ripe target. Base level senshi (Hiro knew that on his own, thank you very much, he was a Guardian Cat, working for the Negaverse didn't mean he couldn't sense the low level of experience of a white moon senshi), and most importantly, not a member of the Blood Moon Court.
Basically, Operation: Infiltration was a go with Hiro's first senshi. (Camelot had been informative, but he was only a Page, after all.)
So today Hiro slunk out of the shadows, and allowed himself to make a small amount of noise as he approached Pasiphae. He'd debated adding a limp, but decided for now to appear his normal confident self - if a little more open and trustworthy. He remaining teal eye was open wider than usual, blinking at the red-and-grey senshi.
"Hello," he said, sitting down a short distance in front of the girl. "Pasiphae, correct?"

When the Senshi heard her name, she jumped in surprise, eyes searching for the speaker. Her guard, like her nerves was high. Was it a weapon yielding Negaverse agent? Was it a tough youma to be turned into dust? She was prepared for anything... except what greeted her when she looked down at the ground in front of her.
The only other living thing (aside from maybe some hidden bugs) was a cat. A cat with clear tiger patterns in his fur, scruffy, perhaps a stray... and, as though designed to break her heart, the sight of his missing eye, as her own two ran over his scar. Most importantly, however, a cat with a a certain star-shaped mark in the center of his forehead that Pasiphae had seen before. A Guardian Cat!
She half-squatted to look better into his single eye, giving a small smile of welcome, "Yes, I'm Sailor Pasiphae. How can I help you?"

Hiro gave his best ingratiating kitty-smile. Cute, helpful cat here, nothing suspicious at all~!
"My name is Masahiro," he introduced himself. "I've seen you around this area a few times before and thought I'd just check how you were settling into your new role and powers. It can be dangerous for a young senshi alone, you know."
And danger came in all shapes and sizes. Inwardly, Hiro chortled to himself.

Pasiphae colored. She didn't think she was worthy of any special care or attention, so she couldn't believe that the Guardian Cat had come just to check on her... but no one had told her that there would be someone who would grade her on her performance! "I think that I'm settling fairly well? I've gotten a decent handle on my shield, and I've met other Senshi, so I'm not always alone, Masahiro. Am I doing anything wrong?"

"What? No, not at all," Hiro chuckled. "I'm making sure that the others are doing the right thing by you."
Getting a handle on her shield, huh? He made a note of 'defensive senshi' against Pasiphae's name in his mind.
"So who's been helping you out? Maybe I know them." The smile he gave wasn't faked, amusing himself by using Camelot's line against the white moon senshi. "Are they being nice to you? I can yell at them if they aren't."
Why yes, Hiro played the part of helpful cat quite well. Though really, it was best to start off easy and friendly. He wanted to infiltrate, after all, just just ask a question and run.

While Pasiphae relaxed slightly when told she wasn't doing anything wrong, she still found it slightly uncomfortable for anyone, even a Guardian Cat, to be so concerned with her and those she interacted with.
She tried to be discrete while still answering Masahiro's questions; she didn't want to hide anything, but she also didn't want to say anything that could risk getting her fellow Senshi in trouble. "All the Senshi I've met so far have been nice; no need to fuss at anyone! Chaonis helped me against a youma, and then... um, I met Kallichore and Europa. They were both really, really nice and encouraging. Perseus too--she helped me learn how to spacewalk. Everyone's given me their numbers to call again, in case I need them. I've given them mine too! Just in case..."

Hiro took note of the senshi names, nodding along until she said 'Kallichore'. His eye widened. That was one of the members of the Blood Moon Court, right? Not a high-ranking or high-priority one, but still, it made Hiro slightly edgy. He barely resisted the urge to peek over his shoulder and check that the BMC wasn't standing behind him.
There was one thing that made absolutely no sense to Hiro, though. "Spacewalk?" he repeated, wracking his mind for the term. "Is that a dance?"
No, wait, that was moonwalk... Oh well.

"No, it's not a dance at all!" Pasiphae still suspected that this whole conversation was some kind of test, so when Hiro asked what the term 'spacewalk' meant she took that to mean that she was only being further quizzed. "That might not be the technically term for it... I guess I should've said space travel? She taught me how to go to the moon that gives me my power."
She didn't say "home." She couldn't say that; Earth was her home. The original Sailor Pasiphae might have a strong connection to Jupiter's moon, memories from when she lived there, but Penelope Seneca had been born and lived on Earth.

Travel to their home planets? Hiro froze in place. His mind whirled, and only the fact that every muscle was locked in place prevented him from making the world's funniest /.O face.
When he had control over his racing mind, Hiro forced himself to relax. "That's... very impressive," he said. "I mean, I thought only Eternals could do that. That you can as well is... well, rather amazing. Can all senshi do that these days?"
The Eternal part was completely a lie, of course. Hiro had no knowledge of this feat. It was unlikely that anyone would have told the Negaverse, or if someone in it did know, it clearly wasn't being publicised. But if he made it sound like it had been something only for Eternals in their 'last lives', then at least Hiro had an excuse for not being up-to-date 'this time around'. (For all Hiro knew, it may have been possible for all senshi last life - it wasn't like he could remember his, if he'd had one.)
And to think that most people thought new senshi wouldn't have any information of interest. Hah!

For a long, tense couple of minutes, Pasiphae was terrified that she had said something wrong. The one-eyed cat before her was perfectly still, saing nothing in response to her description. Eventually, however, he did respond, much to her relief.
Pasiphae colored at Hiro's praise, and she was quick to credit those who had helped her so that the Guardian Cat knew that the other Senshi she had met were all playing nice. "Well, I couldn't have gotten there alone. Kallichore and Europa encouaged me to go, and then Perseus physically showed me how to do it. So, I mean, I had an Eternal and two Supers to help me out. I... probably won't go back for a long time, though."

"So it takes a lot of energy to visit?" Hiro asked, head tilted to one side. "You couldn't go every day, I mean."
It made him wonder if it would be possible for the senshi on his side to visit their home worlds. It might cheer Alkaid up, for example. Or lord knew the mischief Alunite and his sister would get up to if they could visit his old home whatever (planet, star, asteroid... Hiro wasn't sure).
He gave a brief rumble of a purr. "Aw, you're so modest," he teased. He filed those senshi names away. Perhaps they would be good targets for non-infiltration missions, if they were training up the new recruits.

Now it was time for Sailor Pasiphae to insert an awkward pause into their conversation. She closed her eyes against the memory of her trip to her world, of the nightmare that had compelled her to travel there in the first place. Eventually, she answered in a quiet voice, far less excited and vibrant than she had been. "No, I couldn't go everyday."
"N-not at all! Just trying to make sure that everyone gets their due. We're all a team, so we should all be rewarded as a team." If anything, Pasiphae's blush only got worse, moving from a light pink to to a deep red. Still, it helped to improve her mood, momentarily replacing the memory of her distant world. She smiled softly at the Guardian Cat, her voice sincere as she crouched down in front of him so that she was more at his eye-level. "I mean, you're here to make sure of that, right, Masahiro? That we all help each other, act as a team?"

Hiro was a little frustrated by the echoed answer, but fought not to show it. He'd been hoping for somethin more specific - a length of time between visits, an estimation of how much energy it drained... Ah well. It wasn't likely he'd get everything at once.
When Pasiphae spoke about the senshi needing to act as a team, Hiro hummed, considering. Really, the senshi's overall lack of structure and teamwork made the Negaverse's job that much easier. The senshi may have numbers on their side, but they were all over the place in tiny, squabbling factions.
"We Guardian Cats can only try," he sighed. "With so many senshi, it's hard to think that we could talk to every single one, convince them to play nicely with others. But it is a problem. The senshi just aren't as organised or team-orientated as the Negaverse... But I guess that's because they're an army, after all."
The senshi didn't even have a leader. No Moon Princess around to save the day and make the command decisions. Really, they were all just doomed. More senshi needed to come over to Hiro's side, to be spared the slaughter that was - to Hiro's mind - inevitable.

Pasiphae's smile faded some at Masahiro's response, but her maroon eyes were intently focused on him as she listened to his assessment. She had no way of knowing how many Senshi there were--but it seemed as thought there were several, based on what the Guardian Cat was saying, far more than the Shame Senshi had ever met. Lack of organization, of the feeling of being a team. Because they weren't an army... but a series of individuals.
She was quiet for a few moments, thinking about what this meant, in terms of her own role as a Senshi. Pasiphae viewed her task as a duty, and whether she thought she was the best choice or not, she would never abandon it. It was a responsability that she had to maintain, for everyone's sakes. All the other Senshi she had met so far had been team players as well, so again, she had assumed that that was the way it was supposed to be, the way it was always going to be.
She saw no reason to doubt that, not when she had any evidence to the contrary. So, eventually, she spoke in a firm, clear voice, reaching a resolution, "I've been... becoming part of a team, I think. I mean, the team of all Senshi in general. So, I'll stay a team player, Masahiro. Every one I've met has helped me... and I don't think I could do any less for them. Whatever it takes... I'm going to help them."
