AMITYVILLE ACADEMY ENROLLMENT FORMName: Dariya Nicknames: Dari, Dar, etc Gender: Male Age: 17
Faction/Race Ghost / Wila (Vila, Wili, Veela etc XD) Natural Ability: Animal Form: All Wila have the ability to become a ghostly animal of one of the following: swan, snake, horse, falcon, or wolf. This is not the same as a monster's Shapeshift ability in that the Wila retains all of their "human" like intelligence and capabilities and gains no animal-like instincts at all. They simply look like something else.
- In specific, Dariya's animal form is that of a falcon. When in this form, he looks basically like a slightly larger than normal Peregrine falcon with silvery-grey markings where black would usually be. He can fly in this form, but it's not entirely "natural" or instinctive like the flight of a real bird so he'd be rather clumsy in the air compared to an actual falcon or a shapeshifter. Edges of primaries, claws, beak, etc randomly go translucent just like the ends of his limbs do in his humanoid form.
Personality: Driven In whatever he chooses to do at any given time, Dariya is completely focused upon finishing that particular task. Whether it's classwork, or sneaking into the club downtown, he'll devote all of his time and abilities to success. This can be both good and bad, depending on what he's decided to focus on for the moment. If whatever he's trying to do is something that he really doesn't know HOW to do, things could get very interesting, because he isn't likely to ask for help. More like, try to figure it out on his own ... and probably mess it up. Which could easily send him into a sort of funk for a while. Or make him instantly change his mind and try something else!
Changeable That being said, Dariya tends to change his mind about things. A LOT. During one class, he might be completely focused and interested in the material being taught. In the very next class, however, he might have hatched a plan to ask someone out on a date later that night and be busily making plans for that in his notebook rather than taking notes or doing classwork. The challenge for this boil will be learning to direct his focus to what will benefit him most in the long run. There will be a few things he's almost always focused upon - but not very much when he first gets to Amityville. Back home, he was allowed to do pretty much whatever he wanted, so he'll have to learn how to conform to others' schedules.
Seductive Dariya is naturally seductive. He walks, moves, and talks in such a way that others want to follow him, or go out with him, or whatever. It's not really something he plans, but he's definitely not above using it to his advantage. Despite the many obvious flaws in his personality, he almost seems to have the ability to hide them or pretend they don't exist whenever he's coming onto someone. He's not as charismatic in a group setting - as in, getting people to follow him as a leader in a large crowd - it's more one-on-one. I could very easily see him wooing any number of boils and ghouls and having a little collection of followers/dates who understand exactly how special he really is~ lol. To these people, he'd be charming and attentive (more or less), basically whatever he might need to do to get them to follow him in the first place. This sort of goes back to the Driven trait, in that all his attention would be focused on that person for that period of time. After that, though, he'd probably just do the minimum to keep them. If one of his followers saw him for what he really was, and tried to confront him ... well, see Spoiling for a Fight.
Spoiling for a Fight ... or maybe just spoiled Any little thing that Dariya perceives as an insult (or chooses to make an issue of) can lead to a fight with this boil. He absolutely LOVES combat, though he has no weapons like a Reaper, or fangs and claws like a Monster. Even though all the other Wila's back home were ghouls, all of them fought all the time and they're all pretty good at it, naturally. I can see fighting to solve dilemmas being the normal course of things there. So he'd be surprised if he ran into someone that was just incredibly easy to beat up. At first, he also just wouldn't "get" being told by an authority figure not to fight. I mean, that's how things get worked out, right? After a fight with someone was over, things would more or less go back to normal if he'd won the fight. They said something insulting, he taught them a lesson, the end. Go on about your business, good sir. However, if he actually lost, he probably wouldn't be nearly so good a sport about it. I could see him reacting in any number of ways, depending on the situation. Everything from going to sulk in his room for days upon end, to trying to get the person in trouble with teachers, to garnering sympathy from his friends/followers.
Arrogant Again with the spoiled! Being a rare sort of creature back home, Dariya's been more or less treated like a prince. Other people pick up his messes, clean his stuff up, and generally do whatever he tells them. And they're not servants. Just normal people who treat him as someone extremely special. Some tiny part of his brain does realize that Amityville is not home and that here, he's not nearly as special - but it is a VERY tiny part. Mostly, he'll just expect to be treated like he has been his entire life, at least so far as people admiring him goes. I mean, shouldn't it be easy enough to see that he's wonderful, even if they don't do things like clean up after him and bring him meals and the like?
Nature-Loving Oddly enough, Dariya loves nature. Perhaps because the lands of his people are filled with it, and many of the weaker members of the species are tied to aspects of it. If he can avoid walking on some grass in order to not squish it, he will. If someone else does something like break a branch off a tree, or even worse - use it for weapons practice ... that's going to start a fight with him, for sure. He also very much enjoys learning new things about nature and plants - and oftentimes, classes having to do with that are the only ones he consistently focuses upon.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? Usually, Wilas are almost exclusively female. Anyone who has heard of them probably has never heard of a male version. But they are out there, simply very rare. Normally, the males are kept close to the areas the Wilas haunt, protected and treated as precious commodities - because oftentimes their ability to cause Fear can be greater than that of the females.
Dariya, however, heard about Amityville from somewhere and has convinced the older Wilas who head up his clan to allow him to attend the prestigious school. Mostly because he wants to see what things are like outside of home, and possibly meet some new people he can lord over. Because, obviously, he's the greatest thing since sliced Fred to ever be born in Halloween.
FEAR: Dance: As he grows older and more powerful, Dariya will gain several different 'dances' that he can perform in battle to cause certain effects. All, however, fall under the same basic FEAR. Once he gains more Dances in later stages, it would take time and concentration to switch between them, and he could only do one at a time. - First year: Dance of Distraction - This allows him to distract his opponent, possibly making them mess up an attack, or lose their next turn, etc. - Second year: Dance of Life - Dariya can use this dance to heal some damage to himself during a fight. As he gets older, he would be able to heal more. - Third year: Dance of Death - This simply makes all of his attacks more powerful while using this dance. The older he gets, the more damage it does. - Fourth year: Dance of the Storm - This creates an illusory storm centered on Dariya and going out to a radius of about 15-20 feet around him. Driving winds, rain, lightning, etc have the potential to blind, hurt, confuse, and distract his opponent(s). Whoever he is fighting, however, does have a chance to realize the storm is just an illusion and if they do, it doesn't affect them at all.
- Note: For all the Dances 3rd year and below, they would also become more powerful as he gets older. Take less time to set up, have a longer duration on the subject, whatev~
Physical Description: Eye Colour: Full sclera black Hair Colour/Style: White, extremely long and tangled-looking Skin Colour: White Clothing Style/Colours: More white! Flowing, robe/dress-like, perhaps with bits of armor in places Extra: TRAP TRAP TRAP. Very androgynously girl and pretty lol. Otherwise~ slightly pointed ears, outer edges of hair/clothes/limbs etc should be fading in and out, silvery-grey eye 'makeup' perhaps ... idk XD References: For inspiration, another, another
Hobbies & Talents: - Dancing - Fighting - Could see him enjoying reading, once he picks it up (not many books back home) - Could definitely see him wanting to learn to plan an instrument of some kind - Has a bit of skill in making small pieces of armor and decorative jewelry. Larger pieces he'd need to have a forge and blacksmithing equipment, but smaller things he could easily do in his room with fairly minimal tools.

Q & A
- How does he fight ...? (since I know this probably will be asked~ XD ) My thought is that mostly he fights physically, in the style of various martial arts. Nothing overtly one style or another, though any fighting that he does almost always looks like some kind of dancing. When he's using one of his Dance abilities, he can do this at the same time as attacking his opponent, though it requires more concentration.

Oh, the effects are listed below there, for each individual dance that he learns :3
Like "Dance of Distraction" causes a distraction sort of effect, and so on

So sorry for the delayed crit on this, dude (and thanks again for leaving notes on Tobykins)! I've been all over the place this last couple of days, but I wanted to sit down and finally give this guy a proper once-over. I think you have grounds for an extremely solid character here, though I'm curious to know more about him! So far, all I've really gotten in a short list for his personality is:...
1. He's extremely obsessed/driven to finish whatever task he's dead set on... until another one comes up that he suddenly finds more interesting and gets extremely obsessed with that one instead. 2. He's naturally attractive/seductive?/et cetera/whatever you could call it. 3. He's spoiled to the point of pretty ridiculous arrogance and a big head (due to upbringing) and is cocky enough to pick fights for the hell of it.
This brings up some questions for me. How exactly is he supposedly seductive? This isn't meant to be a knock on the kid, but I don't know how inherently attractive a task oriented obsessive compulsive with ADD who was spoiled rotten and starting s**t for no reason but jollies would be to your average ghoul. I think you might need to round that trait out with more explanation for it to make sense, y'know? Like, will he still go out of his way to (maybe not even consciously) sway someone? Is he a compelling speaker with a silver tongue? He's pretty, for what I've gathered, but that's not usually enough to really make someone genuinely charismatic or a magnet for other people-- especially if they have potentially off-putting public drawbacks.
What would he do if he mistakenly challenged someone bigger and badder than him/got too big for his britches? He seems just ripe for getting his a** kicked one day because of a big head, and somehow, I can't see his character taking it lightly. What would the response be? How's he feel about someone who might steal his thunder (aka, a bigger ham)? Or getting dismissed/blown off/rejected by someone he's wooing? Obviously he thinks he's a really special snowflake, and not everyone in the world is going to treat him the way he *thinks* he should be treated, which could cause some interesting reactions.
What are his talents or hobbies, additionally? I know this is side information, but I am curious. Is he just social all the time, or does he have more reserved activities?
That's about all I can think of for now, but good job, dude, and good luck getting him!

Thank you so much for the crit! whee That does pretty much sum up his personality LOL I know I need to flesh it out a bit so questions help a lot~ SeductiveDariya is naturally seductive. Rewrote that a bit, hopefully it helps! Other stuuuuuffff~ Oh yea, he'd probably throw one HELL of a fit if he got his a** kicked. Hide in his room and sulk for days, garner tons of sympathy for his injuries from followers (even after they'd mostly healed) ... XD And likely avoid whoever beat him for the rest of eternity if he could. Someone else being a bigger ham, now ... Hm. It would probably depend on who they were/exactly what they were doing. If it was a demon, he'd probably look on in some kind of awe, because they're obviously so much better at it than he is. He might even try to learn from them. He ... doesn't really care so much about being a leader or anything, as ... being admired by people on an individual basis. Despite appearances, he DOES realize (somewhere deep in his little head) that Amityville isn't home and people won't automatically fawn all over him. But he does expect a little admiration from crowds and (a lot) more than that from people he's met/wooed. Someone blowing him off that he's wooing could get any number of reactions XDDD Everything from just walking away all stiff-necked to looking like a kicked puppy to trying to start a fight with the person. It would really depend on the situation, I think. Even though all the others back home were ghouls, the entire race of Wila's are pretty much warriors, so it wouldn't be at all uncommon or out of character for him to attack a ghoul. In fact, he'd probably be pretty surprised if the other person completely sucked at fighting and he beat them easily XD Hobbies & Talents ~ Hmmn. Well, obviously dancing and fighting but those are already pretty much mentioned. At the moment, he doesn't know how to play an instrument, but that's something I could see him wanting to learn, for sure. There also aren't many books back where he comes from, but reading is another hobby that would catch his interest I think. As for talents, he has a bit of skill with forging things - as in, blacksmithing. A lot of the Wila's back home wear small pieces of armor here and there, and since they are ghouls, it's sometimes harder for them to forge those. Dariya's a boil, which means he's just naturally a bit stronger, so he was taught how to do blacksmithing when he was young. Even though it's hard work, he enjoys making things so he doesn't mind, really. Plus, it's another skill that everyone back home admires him for~ I'm going to go through and maybe flesh out a few more of the traits too :3 Again, thank you so much for the crit! <3
