Tahki had made a deal with Bul that the two were to scare each other in attempts to try and figure out what their fear was exactly. Tahki had immediately gone straight to her dorm to begin more research and plotting but so far none of that had proven very helpful. Nothing she had read up on had really told her anything helpful about figuring out just what ones fear was and it was proving to be a pain staking task.

But a little research never killed anyone. Tahki was not about to give up because it wasn’t an easy puzzle. She owed Bul more than that. But how did one scare someone like Bul? He was so cool and put together and Tahki couldn’t help but envy the bravery he had. He’d first hand been on that island with his friends. Tahki and Amrita had hung back so the gryphon never got a taste of those hooded figures everyone who had gone on the trip talked about. No she had played it safe as always.

Only now she was doing anything BUT playing it safe as she turned through books and books of how to scare. Every so often she’d say “hmmmmmm” or “AH” but there really wasn’t much gained other than that. Her skelephone began to vibrate and sent papers and books flying into the air. Who could be calling her of all people?

“H-hello?” Tahki answered the phone and bit her lip. Just who was calling her? Her phone only rang when she was working on a project with a partner. Very few people had her number.

“Hey this isn’t Amrita!” The voice on phone sounded familiar. Tahki couldn’t help but lift a brow.

“Charlie is that you?” It was obvious her number had been dialed by mistake and it was pretty obvious that the voice belonged to her class mate/Amritas friend who had some how also been dumped on her. Now she was the almost unwilling friend of the pink demon.

“Well duh! Who is this? I thought I got Amritas number..” On the other line the gryphon could hear a very disappointed sigh. It was long and heavy and sent static to her ear.

“Uhhh… sorry Charlie. Im not even sure how you got THIS number but you shouldn’t be calling numbers if you don’t know who you’re going to get in touch with..” There was a hint of annoyance in Tahkis voice. She wasn’t completely happy to have Charlie with her number. The demon already dragged her every where and with out her permission. She wasn’t even sure why Charlie liked to steal her. He seemed to steal a lot of people though.

“PFHHHH..” Charlie blew in to the phone an annoyed puff of air. “You still haven’t answered my question to who this is. … Mac is that you?” Charlie huffed.

“M-M-Mac!? HOW DARE YOU! I don’t sound like Mac!” Tahki huffed back at the demon, “This is Tahki. Amritas friend.”

“OHHHH TAHKI HI !!” The tune of the demons voice quickly changed. “Can I talk to Amrita? Is she there? I want to talk to Amrita now yes please!” If they had been in the same room then Tahki would have witnessed the demon flailing happily.

“Uhhhh…” In the back of her mind Tahki was going what the jack, “Uhhh… Me and Amrita aren’t glued to the hip… all the time… uhhhh….” In fact Tahki didn’t see much of Amrita most of the time. Tahki usually walled her self up in her room and threw away the key for safe keeping. What gave the demon the idea that Amrita would be with her? Amrita had never been to her room as far as the gryphon knew.

“What? Lame…” Charlie sighed deeply into the phone again. “Well can you tell Amrita I said hi next time you see her?”

“Charlie…” Tahki had face palmed unable to really think of what to say to that. Had he only really called ‘Amrita’ to say hi? That seemed kind of obsessive and creepy. “Charlie did you only call to say hi to Amrita?” There was a pause on the other line. Charlie was thinking.

“No. I wanted to talk to her and tell her all about my day and then maybe see if she wanted to play climb a tree with me and then watch the moon set and ..” Charlie rambled on for some time. Tahki couldn’t help but smile as the love stricken demon rambled it sounded so cute. “Annnnnd I wanted to tell her thank you for being my special friend.” Now there was a pause on Tahkis end. It was just so cute and a tad creepy.

“… Uhhhh.. Im sorry shes not here then. Maybe go check her room?” Tahki scratched her head.

“OH YEAH I CAN DO THAT!” And then there was a click. Charlie had been eager to get off the phone to find his Amrita to go tell her all those things. Tahki wasn’t sure if she should be concerned or not but the gryphon shrugged it off and went back to her research.
