History~~ A silver shell etched with bonze and golden swirls laid caught in the reeds, its silver pearls delicately ensnared, the calm ocean trying to pull it free. The mother had left it there so perhaps a weary traveler may discover a wonder beyond comprehension at the first glance, as she was the sort with no interest in raising children. An accident perhaps? Implications of that sort were beyond the imagination of the traveler who discovered the shell.
Maru was delighted by the find, a lovely shell necklace of unmatched beauty! At least, that is what she thought when she first found it. And even wore it as a necklace… What a surprise when it hatched one night! Waking up to a mess of a room and a curiosity of things thrown about.. And somehow a large amount of sitting water.. Everywhere. ’What the…?’ must have been the thought as she carefully tip-toed to the source as she soon discovered a little brown skinned nymph with blonde locks of hair in her tiny kitchen, in a makeshift raft filled with water. After scratching her head some, Maru laughed and walked towards the young nymph, squatting down near it she realized the markings on the tail where the same as those found on the shell she had previously.
The nymph was named after its favorite snack that was melted marshmellow bit of a smore, and after many odd adventures inside Maru’s house, the both of them learned a bit about the different races. And for one, from then on Maru would have to live close to the sea just to search for more similar creatures, and to allow her Marshy Mellow to meet and greet other nymphs.
Perhaps this move was how Marshy Mellow met her Valentine`s sweet heart, Crescent Crises, and came home with a shell one day. As if Maru wasn’t suspecting its origin!
