This is an aim rp between Painted Moose and me.

She was happy today. Today was a day for her to explore the lands again! On her own though. The lioness gave a soft sigh. She liked the other lioness and that cute leopard that she had traveled with for a bit. Both were great amusement to her and she especially liked the other. She was going to do something for him after all. “A pure lion.” She repeated to herself. How he worried about having lion cubs instead of leopards. She laughed. Well she could solve that problem!

Just like a cub. She didn’t think too far ahead, but only of the present. Kimana bounced through the grasses and swatted after a couple of bugs. “Wanna…play?” She whispered to the brightly colored insects before hopping after them. Laughing she watched as they took to the sky and disappeared further back into the grasses. Well that wasn’t a long game. The lioness smiled before padding through the grasses. What to do today? She was exploring of course, but what should she be looking for?

“Hmm. Guess I’ll find something.” She commented with a smile.

Safi lay sprawled out on his back in the watering hole with only the occasional paw stroking through the cool water. For the first time in a long time, he was completely at ease. His family wasn't too far off, there were no reptiles to disturb him, and best of all, no worries.

The youthful leopon's orchid gaze drifted up to the clouds above. He could faintly see a hare leaping over an...elephant? He scrunched up his face. That...just couldn't be right. When he looked again, the elephant was a mountain, so he closed his eyes, content on just letting it go.

There. Kimana smiled victoriously to herself as she spotted her newest target. A white feline who was sprawled out in the watering hole. How ironic it was that his fur nearly reminded her of the leopard and that she was meeting him in a water hole just like her lioness friend. Maybe she should stick around watering holes more often. The lioness grinned at the thought.

Her gaze followed his up to the clouds and the lioness laughed softly to herself. Was he? Could he be seeing things in the clouds? Happier than she had been in days the lioness ran towards the water and dived in with a splash towards the hybrid.

Safi squawled out before his center of balance was thrown off, forcing him under water. He paddled back up to the surface quickly, his mind a blaze with questions. What the hell was happening? Was he being attacked? Or...was it his mother again? He frowned. I wouldn't put it past her, he thought.

And still, there she was. A gorgeous spotted lioness who radiated happiness, splashing around in the water. And she was coming straight for him! I know I'm a lady killer, but seriously? "Um..hello?"

She laughed at his reaction before pushing a wave of water towards his direction. Someone else may have been worried about the other feline since he did slip beneath the water, but Kimana was not like that. Rather she just couldn't believe that someone could drown or get hurt because of a slight surprise. So she sent more water his way instead. "Hello!" She called back before moving towards him. Her mane was wet from splashing and hung in her eyes and so she shook her head again trying to clear her vision.

Seeing better now Kimana got up close to the other feline and paused. He wasn't a lion, but not a leopard. Definitely not a cheetah...what was he? The lioness tilted her head thoughtfully, "What are you?" She grinned, "Are you something else or are you just a very pretty, but feminine lion?" He obviously wasn't a she - that she could easily tell.

When the water had faded from his face, Safi's frown became easily visible. What the hell was wrong with her? He couldn't believe that a lioness of her age would still be acting like a cub infront of a complete stranger. And a male, at that! Was that her way of attracting males? In that case, it sure as hell wasn't working.

"Hey! I'm not feminine. I'm very manly, I'll have you know." His frown intensified as his ears flipped back on his head. Was she purposefully trying to get under his skin, or was she really that dense? "And I'm a leopon. What are you?"

Kimana backed away at the sight of his frown. What was wrong? Did he not understand that she was playing? Oh! Did he hate water? But then again he was already in it...so it wasn't like she made him get wet or anything. The lioness sighed before looking back up at him.

"But you look feminine." She replied innocently, "I'm sure you're male and strong, but from a distance someone might mistake you for a female. Not that it's a bad thing!" Her gaze looked hurt at his reaction. What was so bad with what she said? It was just an observation. Maybe this leopon wasn't going to be amusing, just scary. The female backed another step up, "A leopon?" She repeated. So he was what her friend was afraid of. A hybrid. "I'm a lion of course." She frowned in confusion. Why was he so upset for?

Safi completely bi-passed the female and paddled his way to shore. He didn't need this today, he really didn't. Honestly, if he wanted to be pestered, all he had to do was hang around Izin!

"I do not look feminine!" He fumed, pausing when he was able to touch the ground. "Are you stupid? Can't you tell what a male looks like?" Safi shook his head. Honestly! "I'm a leopon. My mom is a leopard, and my father is a lion. How many questions are you going to ask me before you're satisfied?"

Kimana frowned. This guy was really grumpy. Almost like a female during her - well anyway. He definitely wasn't a female nor was he pregnant. Either way she wasn't saddened by his bi-passing her. Just upset at the fact that it seemed everything she said set him off. Was she that bad? No one else had really been this aggressive.

Jeesh.

"Well yeah - but you..." She trailed off and shook her head. Well maybe just all leopons looked feminine then. Cause he surely did. As it was she was tired and teh lioness turned away, "I'll ask as many questions as there are stars! Okay? Cause apparently I don't know anything cause I can't remember!Happy?" She sniffed and shook her head, "I'll leave you alone now, leopon." She padded her way through the water towards the opposite side of the water hole and pulled herself onto land.

"If that's supposed to make me feel sympathetic towards you, good luck!" He shot off, shaking out the water from his fur.

Tired of this meeting now more than ever, the leopon padded up the river bank without so much as a goodbye.
