Bio: There is next to no solid information on the real origins of the cosmic entity of Death, known as Nekron. However, it is known that, as a malevolent, insane personification of the Universal force of Death, Nekron masterminded the creation of the Black Lantern Corps and the fulfillment of the ancient prophecy foretelling the Blackest Night. After his defeat at the end of the Blackest Night, Nekron was forced to return to the Land of the Unliving, but he has not given up on his attempts to destroy Life itself.
Extra: In this guild's canon, after the Multiversal Merge, Nekron saw an opportunity to reestablish a possible link to the physical realm through the being known as Zesoranael Nuhsassemon, whom had been manipulated into serving another evil entity, the demon known as Mephisto, as a Ghost Rider. Nekron apparently had enough power to partially usurp the supernatural blood contract between Mephisto and Zesoranael, giving him many of the abilities of a Black Lantern; however, he was unable to completely control Zesoranael and thus is still in the Land of the Unliving at this time.
In addition: Recent extremely important developments regarding Zesoranael's powers have called into question the belief that Nekron is the true personification of Death as a Universal force, in the sense that Death is associated with evil and that the color Black therefore represents Death and Evil on the Electromagnetic Emotional Spectrum that powers all Lantern Corps rings. According to this theory, Death as a force is not good or evil, and Nekron's existence actually warped the Universal force of Death, thus leading to its association with the Evil alignment for many, many eons.
