The mare quietly grazed in the open field close to the castle. Dark had some business to attend to at the castle, and Nailiah had agreed to wait for her. It had been a while since the amazon went into the castle. So long in fact, Nailiah had grown quite peckish and began eating. Her ears flicked as her head was down against the ground, mane brushing against her face partly hiding it as well. Her tail waved idly in the small breeze, her eyes often looking up every once in a while to get a look around her. Even though there were other Azrein about, Nailiah kept to herself. She wasn't good at this whole "Hello there" thing yet, and she didn't want to risk making a bad impression. One of these days, she'd have to get over that fear.

(I'm pretty sure that's the king's castle err..right oh well if not I'll just end up editing my post here later)
The day had worn beads of sweat down Morpheus's brow he flicked his tail in despair. again? really was this now the third time in the week he had been put on guard duty..Morpheus brooded over and over in his head staring out into the open pastures, he began to close his eyes and think of what else he could of been doing to pass time, He was a Warrior! He thought. He could be fighting off evil stallions and fighting for the king, except he was just here. He sighed then opened one eye, with that he took in the narrowed and expression of Dark as she trotted by. Morpheus knew of her not too well, but enough to know that she was a regular. Morpheus with a week of seeing that same mare took in that every time she walks by she looks like a demon so he choose to make no eye contact what-so-ever...Morpheus opened both his blue eyes and peered out across the pastures only to see another mare idle in the fields. Should I? he thought wanting to just walk on up to her. But he thought it best to not be a creep. Maybe if I act like I'm just walking on by? he thought deviously..with that in mind, he trotted not straight towards the mare but almost semi-circled her, looking to glance over and get a better look at her beautiful red mane.

[I was hoping to be vague enough that maybe it was a field close by sweatdrop It's a start blaugh Also, Dark is Nai's chosen. She just looks totally wild and stuff. heart ]
Her lips moved over the grasses quickly as she gripped and chewed, her cheeks moving in sync with her munching. Her ears moved back as she heard a faint sound wondering if maybe another decided to move close by. Her silver eyes stole a glance at a very blue, very strong stallion. Was he..was he looking at her? She lifted her head risking to make eye contact which of course happened. His blue eyes seemed enchanting and while getting a better look, she noticed freckles on his face and haunches. The rest of his body were variations of blue which seemed to suit him. Nailiah began to grow a little self conscious realizing that her red mane and tail with a completely white body must look odd. The mare ducked her head back under as if grazing, her heart beating wildly in her chest.

As Morpheus caught the mares gaze, he didn't stop to look away, but rather just eyed her even more, fixating his eyes on her and her features. She was quite the stunning mare he thought. As the mare quickly darted to look away Morpheus grinned, was she shy? Maybe he could get her attention another way. Morpheus was a goof and around woman couldn't help but be a goofball. Trotting closer towards the mare and with a fake stumble he acted as though he had almost tripped. Shaking off his fake fall, Morpheus laughed at well really himself, a bit of sweat dripped from his brow, was he nervous? Still about 15 feet away from her, He whinnied and shook out his mane trying to see if the mare was even interested in Morpheus or she was having cold hooves.

Nailiah moved as if trying to find a better spot to graze, but her eyes always flashed back to him. Was he playing coy? It confused her how some stallions acted. However, when he stumbled, she immediately lifted her head to get a better look at him. The mare then trotted over slowly, her mane waving behind her slightly, muscles rippling under her white coat. "Are..Are you all right?" She called now standing about three feet away. She was trying to get a better look at him while not getting too close. She was still new and still a little cautious. Nailiah couldn't help but watch his features, mane, and muscles as he shook his neck. "I could go get someone for help if I need to.. She tried to say something, anything to keep herself..well herself.

Morpheus's heart fluttered about as the mare approached. He acted a bit ashamed at first to be caught stumbling. "I uh...uhh I think I can manage" he said letting out a laugh and getting back to his tall stance, and puffing out his chest with his lungs. Thinking of that woman...coming to help him..made him shudder. Anything but her...he thought cursing himself for being so..soo almost desperate for company. He watched the mare's body language and moved in closer to introduce himself, it was rude of him if he didn't "Greetings beautiful, my name's Morpheus" he spoke with a chivalrous voice and then asked the mare "and what my lady..are you known by?" his voice went a little less loud at the end of his sentence as to woo the lady at the first meeting. Morpheus wasn't exactly a ladies man, but he was indeed trying his best at what he knew about mares. He hadn't met many and this was probably his first chance to.

She breathed a sigh of relief. Good, he was all right. As he came closer, she slowly started to back away, but caught herself. It was rude of her to act this way and the stallion didn't seem too bad off. She felt her cheeks redden as he called her beautiful. Oh there had to be a catch. No stallion was just going to introduce himself and call her 'beautiful'. "Morpheus." Nailiah spoke his name gently upon her tongue as if to memorize it. "Morpheus, my name is Nailiah. It's a pleasure to meet you." Nai nickered gently, ears flicked back against her skull then forward again as if in interest. Why was he speaking so strangely? And why did he puff out his chest and then deflate like a bird? Her confusion was brief in her eyes, but she soon calmed down enough to listen. "Are you out patrolling?" The mare asked as if trying to make idle conversation. She should at least try to be sociable.
