With her arms over her head, Lilith stretched out as she walked toward the Academy; it was early morning and after she passed the Grave of Fairies trial, she decided that it would be best to give back to the teachers that had helped her so much while being a young Witchling. Without them, she probably wouldn't of passed the test the first time around, or possible never of passed at all! It wouldn't be much, but it was still giving back a few times each week.
"Hm..." she thought out loud to herself. "Maybe I should help in the kitchens today. Haven't done that in a while and learning to improve on my cooking skills would definitely help at home and keep me away from all the preserved junk I eat." Lilith laughed and smiled as she headed into the Academy, walking towards the cafeteria.
Once she entered the cafeteria, she saw no Witchlings, but the cooks and servers waved at her. Lilith waved back and told them that she would be helping for the day, at least for however long they needed her help. They thanked her and she quickly went to the back to wash her hands and tie back her hair. It would be a while until the students came in for lunch, but they had to be prepared to feed all those hungry mouths!
Picking up a knife and cutting board, Lilith went to her 'spot' and started chopping up veggies for a stew the cooks were making. There was a solid 'chop' sound for each slice because Lilith was being careful not to shave off parts of her fingers. Although a slow worker, the others there were very appreciative for her help, even with the most menial tasks.

It was one of the rare times when class was released rather early. Why this time? Something about the professor’s pet. It had made Zedena raise an eyebrow since most pets she knew did pretty well for an hour on their own. Something must have been wrong but since there was nothing she could do, Zedena just joined the rest of her class in packing up. Leaving rather quickly, the young witchling had decided to pick up her studies in a place she knew no one would be: the cafeteria.
Experience had taught her that it was a few hours before people would make a dash for the kitchens but the library would be backed with study hall students and others pretending to write papers while playing games on the school computers. Honestly that didn’t matter to her. What drove her so crazy was that if a certain group of her classmates were there, they would be pestering her for help on the latest assignment. Why couldn’t they help themselves? It wasn’t as if any of them had ever gone above and beyond for her.
Letting out a sigh, her hand slid down the door and pushed it open. The hum of things going on in the back was a calming noise as she walked it. Simple white noise was always soothing. Yet as she crossed the white tiles to her normal spot, a strange sound caught her off guard.
“What the heck?” She started to say as she looked around trying to figure out what was out of place that day.

At first, Lilith hadn't heard someone entering the cafeteria, but when someone spoke, she looked up for her chopping and saw that it was a Witchling, probably getting ready for lunch or something. With her assumption, she walked over to the girl. "I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the cafeteria isn't quite open yet," she said with an outright apologetic tone. "I think we'll be done shortly though. Well, at least the main cooks!"
Lilith walked back to her place, not knowing how odd she looked compared to the rest of the cooks with her neat black hair, fancy red dress, and tall black heels. She continued to chop her vegetables and give them to the head cook. The cook would always smile and thank her for her help, no matter how awful the vegetables were cut or how long she took to cut them.
With her vegetables done and not sure what to do, she picked up a crate of onions that needed to be peeled. It wasn't long before the onions started to make her tear up. Despite that, however, she kept peeling and crying, peeling and crying. She had no idea how even more ridiculous she looked.
