Marching along with her tail in the air, the silver leopardess looks to the sky and lets out a long heavy sigh. It had been a while since she had met anyone and she was starting to feel a little lonely.
Frowning she looked around and leapt towards a spindly tree, her claws extending so she could clamber up in to the branches. flopping down across a branch thick enough to hold her she leans her chin on the branch and sighs heavily. She was finding it easier every day to be without her troop but it still irked her that she felt alone these days.

Alone for long she would not be. His tail swaying behind him, Maraka walked along with his head high, an air of importants about him. After all, it wasn't often that the best cheetah in the grasslands went simply waltzing along. His red ears erect, he kept his bi-colored eyes closed. "Keep up, or I'll leave you behind again."
Directly behind him pranced a smaller cheetah, her own head high. "Oh, hush, you KNOW I'm better than you." Like her brother, she was marked with stripes. But unlike her brother, hers actually stood out against her coat. Where Maraka's were a light purple color on a gray coat, hers were a vibrant pink on white. Red eyes glared at the back end of her brother, before she pranced ahead of him. "You're an idiot, Maraka. You let that leopard get away..."
"Yes, well, it's not MY fault another one showed up!"

Anselma's eyes fell upon the pair of cheetahs and she yawned widely. Cheetahs, they were slender, good scouts, bad fighters. Well they had the uses in an army. In a troop they could run faster than everyone else. It sort of made her think of them as cowardly, though she had met many brave soldiers of the cheetah variety in the past.
Her ears flickered as they mentioned Leopards and she let out a quiet growl. Who did these two think they were? Leopards went where they pleased. Leopards were kings and queens of the trees, leopards were the best in a crisis,s he should know, she was the greatest general there had ever been. The greatest..she had been the greatest, she was not general any more and that made her fur stand on end. She missed her regiment but she knew when to be cautious, she had yet to recruit anyone to her, being a lone leopard could be hazardous.

Waridi let out a huff, passing her brother to stop under a tree. "You've always been an idiot, and you always WILL be. You're just lucky I found you after that beat-down from that midget lion!" Of course she'd seen the whole thing... And it made her laugh horribly to remember it.
Maraka's ears went back, before he pounced on his sister. "Take it back!"
"Never!"
He let out a violent snarl, getting reay to bite her as they rolled on the ground. And then he stopped, staring up. "Waridi, stop!" He kicked her off, continuing to lay on his back and stare up. Now this was a... Pleasant sight. And yet NOT pleasant. THe look on the leopardess' face was far from pleasant. Or one he wanted to see.

The silver leopardess lashed her tail and raised a brow at the two cheetahs. "You shouldn't fight your family. They have your back in a war." She states, looking down at the two cheetahs with a slight touch of disdain on her face. She had no lov for troops that fought each other. They were supposed to fight the enemy not one another. The greatest thread was always from within. She lets out a long growl of a huff and rests her gaze on the two.
"Move along. I am living here this is no place for quibbling civilians. Theres a war coming." She states, there was always a war coming as far as she was concerned. She had been in plenty. Her regiment was long gone but she was still around waiting for the war and for her troops that she felt sure she would one day find.

Maraka sat up, looking up at the leopardess funny. "War? What are you blathering about?" He stood up, tail swaying just a bit. "I've heard nothing of a war coming!" He paid attention to it all, so she HAD to be wrong! Right? Right...?
Waridi snorted at her brother. "The poor, unfortunate animals who're ugly will rise up and come after us. THAT war. And then they won't be ugly any longer." She wasn't serious, of course. She circled her brother, smirking. "And then you get to bow... To a lion with a coat that looks like they rolled in mud."
Maraka's expression became one of abject horror.

Anselma raised a brow at the cheetahs. Where they foolish? "War is always around the corner children. Of course, I don't expect cheetahs to stand and fight." She huffs and lashes her lengthy tail her golden eyes glancing across the two with a severe eye. "No fight in you two, run along before the world over takes you." She calls, her voice self assured, that of a commander.
"Don't you have a mother to run along to cubs? Your life could end where you stand and yet you bicker against each other. Soldiers should band together in times of crisis. Civilians!" She quips shaking her head. "Learn some discipline." She stands slowly on the tree branch making a decision if she should drop to the ground and show these two some military tactics, clearly they needed something, even if it was just sense knocking in to them.

Maraka's ears went back, eyes narrowing. "You're a brain-damanged fool, you know that?" He backed away a bit, still glaring. "Why would you even SAY that? And..." He glowered. "We are neither cubs, nor do we have a mother to go back to."
Waridi puffed up, glaring as well. Finally, she clawed at the tree. "You're just jealous that we have someone to talk to, besides ourselves! I bet you're just a lonely old podger!" The white cheetah stretched, her tail curling slightly behind her.

The leopardess growled and leapt from the tree. Her thick set muscles bunched under her fur as she stalked towards the two cheetahs her golden eyes glancing between both of them. "The creatures under my command are stationed not far away. We are the elite, the creatures that keep fools like you two safe in your beds." She stands tall her head held at an angle that made her look taller, more stately. She was clearly not old, she was in her prime and though she had lied out right to the two cheetahs she sounded so confident her words could not be questioned.
It had hurt her hearing what the female said. She was right, she wanted a troop again, she wanted creatures to be under her command,s he wanted to march in to a battle and not be the only one that walked away. She couldn't think like that, her army was some where, she had just misplaced it. "You two need some discipline!"

The male cheetah sneered, keeping a distance between himself and the leopardess. "Now you're talking nonsense!" He snorted, padding around her. "Come on, Waridi, we don't need this..." He started padding away, holding his head high again, much like he had an air of importance again.
Waridi herself snorted, then siddled up to the leopardess. "I bet you don't HAVE an army! Do you?" She circled around to the other side, pressing against her again. "I bet you're so lonely... You made one up." She grinned up at her. "You should go find your own kind, other leopards to be around... Yano? Then you can have your army...

The silver leopardess frowned but it was a fleeting frown. She growled low in her throat and stepped forwards encroaching on the female cheetah. "You gal, need to be taught a lesson in humility, I'v dealt with more stubborn little wretches than you in my time." She sniffs and rolls her eyes. "Children with no humility or discipline are the first to fall when the war knocks on their door."
She lashes her tail and circles around the two cheetahs. "Course I could teach you but you'd probably fail." She states stalking back towards the tree she had only moments before defended from, her claws scratching up the bark of the tree.

She snorted, pushing past the leopardess. "I don't think we need ANY help from you. We've gotten along quite well without fighting." Granted, they'd lie or con their way out of things... But they'd done it all without actually resorting to fighting anybody.
Maraka himself moved away again, eyes narrow still. "We don't need your help. We've gotten on just fine, and we'll CONTINUE to get along fine!" With a swift show of agility, he jumped over her, intent on hurrying away. "Why don't you go find that colony I heard some pink freak boy talking about? I'm sure they'd LOVE you!"

Anselma growled low in her throat watching the two cheetah's for a moment, she shrugged her shoulders and climbed back up in to the branches of the tree. She sniffs and rolls her eyes. "Good luck then civilians. I wouldn't go that way though, if I was you." She stretches out not he tree branch and yawns, closing her eyes. "Might be an ambush waiting."
She considered their words, a colony? A leopard colony perhaps? She didn't care, she wasn't looking for a colony, she was looking for her troops, they were out thee some where, she just knew it. It was the only hope she had to cling to. Closing her golden eyes she listened intently as the cheetahs walked away from her slowly allowing herself to fall in to a fitful dream where she was back in the ranks.
