I’ll join the skies, and behave as they are.
Wash off with tears this still-hurting scar.
Thorns in my heart, infecting it with pain.
Enduring this mayhem, but sadly all in vain.
Stand empty handed, with nothing to show.
Just a chest full of grief and immense sorrow.
Plaster on an bogus smile, and go on about my way.
Unsatisfied with a life that’s only been colored gray.

There is no blood running in your faces.
Time after time in these exitless mazes.
Soon this bogus smile will begin to fade,
with all these problems at hand and little to no aid.

Things you forgot you said,
are still engraved in my head.
You hide some truths, I can understand to a degree.
But, will you ever be entirely honest with me?
Wasn’t it convenient that the time fell on such an occasion?
