1x1 rp
Type: Drama, romance, and . . . eh, more drama.
With FieryHeartedAngel and Yume4

Plot

Have you ever seen someone else get into a bad situation before? A situation that could've been easily prevented if that person had been responsible? Then, after you found out about that persons troubles, did this single thought run through your head? 'That will never be me.' It ran through my head, several times over the years in fact as some of the people I knew did stupid things. I guess what I thought was wrong though. . .

It's my senior year of highschool and my boyfriend and I have been going out for a little over a year I'd guess. We're big into parties that are being thrown and usually went to the majority of them. A couple weeks ago though, we went to a party and had a pretty big fight. Honestly, I can't even remember the point of it anymore, but that it was over something small and stupid. Either way, we'd gotten pretty mad at each other and had went our seperate ways at the party. I drank a lot while I was there, more then I was used to drinking and, needless to say, I felt and acted quite drunk. And then comes the part where I screwed up. I can't even remember most of it. . . only bits and pieces. What I do know though, is that I ended up sleeping with the captain of the football team from our school, which was pretty bad. My situation was made even worse though when I found out that I was pregnant a few weeks later. While the football captain, Gavin, was drunk as well that night, I'm positive that he knows what we did, but like me, we haven't spoken of it to anyone. Gavin and I are friends a little, but mainly only because ~~~ and Gavin are as close as best friends could be. I feel horrible for doing what I did, but I'm not sure how to break the news to ~~~, let alone anyone else. Unfortunately though, my time is going to run out and ~~~ has noticed that something is up with me lately. I just don't want to hurt Gavin and ~~~ friendship, or ~~~ and our relationship. Can I fix it and avoid those?

*Note*: The character Gavin will be played by both of us to an extent, but I'll probably leave it upon you to control him the most. (Or a third person could join and play this character if they want to, either way is fine) A profile is not needed for him though unless there is a third person that is willing to play him.

( ❶ ) Please follow the guilds rules!

( ❷ ) No chatspeak. Talk in third person only (exceptions are to profiles only). No one liners, please try to make it at least a paragraph or two. Writers block is understandable but not in every other post you make.

( ❸ ) Cussing is allowed in your posts, but limit how much you use. I don't want to see a bad word in every sentence you make. Please, please write out your actions! Do not put *grabs a candle and runs back* in your posts. That is not literate and it bugs the crap out of me when I see it.

( ❹ ) PM your profiles to me so that I can post them up. If I get two profiles at the same time, I will choose who I think is the better one for the spot. When sending your profile, include links to other rp's you've been in so that I can see how you rp. I want length and at least semi-literacy! Some of my examples are the following: Example 1 | Example 2 | Example 3

( ❺ ) Please try to post at least a couple times a week! If you'll be gone for a while, I understand, just tell me please.

Name: Grace Underwood
Age: 17

Personality: I'm usually an outgoing and peppy sort of person which is probably what made me such a good cheerleader. Though unlike most of the other cheerleaders, I'm not a snobby or rude to others. I'm a fairly nice and caring person. At times though I can get pretty stressed out and will snap at those I care about, but I try not to do that very often. Other then that, I'm a fairly easy going person. Since I found out that I was pregnant a few weeks back though, I've been acting a little different from my normal self. I tend to get a little distracted with what I have on my mind currently, and I act a little nervous around Gavin and Elliot when I'm around them because of the secret I'm keeping. I just don't know how to break it to them yet.

Name: Elliot Walters
Age: 18

Personality: I’m pretty care-free and easy to get along with. My mantra is life is too short to be anything but happy. I love joking around and making people smile, but I do know when to be serious. I’m an older brother, so I like to think of myself as responsible and trustworthy. I don’t like fake people and always act like myself, which is sometimes pretty dorky. I also don’t get angry easily.

Biography: Senior year... Where do I begin? My life is great! My parents are still together after 25 years and my younger siblings aren’t as annoying as they could be. I’m captain of the soccer team, senior class president, and on track to graduating as salutatorian. I was accepted at every college I applied to, but I’m waiting on my girlfriend to help me decide where I want to go. Speaking of Grace, we’ve been dating for more than a year and she is the most amazing girl in the world. I love her more than anything. But maybe not more than my best friend, Gavin... Anways, they are the two most important people in my life. With that being said, I look forward to having an epic senior year with both of them by my side.

xxxGrace has just woken up to the light pitter-patter of rain falling on the rooftop of her house on a Saturday morning. She always disliked the fact when the weather would decide to turn sour on a weekend, much preferring it to be bad weather when she was in school when she wouldn't be able to go outside anyway. Sighing lightly, she sat up and swung her legs over the side of her bed before just sitting there for a moment. All the memories of what she'd found out only a couple days ago came rushing to her, not even giving her five minutes break from them. I can't believe I'm pregnant, she thought to herself with a small shake of her head, her lips pulling down into a slight frown as she glanced over at the clock on her dresser. The red, glowing digital numbers read that it was ten-thirty in the morning. She didn't know if Elliot would be awake this early in the morning or not, but decided to send him a text and see if he'd respond or not. After all, it wouldn't wake him like a call would and would let him know that Grace needed to talk with him. Grabbing her cell from the dresser, she started sending him a message.

Hey, Elliot
I need to talk to you. When would be a good time?
-Grace

Grace hit send and got dressed into some clothes before slipping her phone in her pocket so that she'd have it with her if she recieved a response. She felt a small pang of nervousness hit her stomach at what she was going to tell him, but she quickly reassured herself that it needed to be done eventually. While she knew it would hurt him, he had to know. Gavin needed to know as well, but she figured that telling Elliot first might be best. Or so Grace hoped anyway, she honestly was not so sure of herself with this situation.

Pushing the regret and fear aside for the moment, she decided that she'd better eat something for breakfast. Or try at least. She hadn't been all that hungry lately for anything in the morning, not exactly sick, just a loss of appetite that Grace knew the reason for all too well. She was actually kind of glad at the moment that her parents both worked at the hospital during the day. She didn't have to come up with an excuse as to why her breakfast habits had dramatically changed. It at least avoided difficult discussions for the time being and until Grace was ready to share her little secret with them, she was glad they were gone during the day.

Grace walked down the stairs as her dog, Ace, greeted her halfway down and she gave him a welcoming pat on the head as she headed to the kitchen. As she searched for something that appealed to her, she finally settled on an apple before walking to the couch and sitting down. Glancing around for a second, she saw the remote squished in between the cushions. She reached for it and turned on the TV, flipping it to some movie that seemed like it had the potential to be interesting. Settling back in the soft, plush cushions of the sofa she bit into the apple and chewed slowly, watching the scenes on the TV flash by as Ace came up and settled on the couch beside her. Grace looked down at the dog for a moment and gave it an affectionate scratch behind the ears for a moment before she returned her attention to the movie.

Seriously? Elliot thought, sitting up in his bed to get a better look at the weather outside. He had been woken up by the sound of raindrops on the roof, but he did not want to believe that another weekend would be dampened by rain. Sure enough, the sight that greeted him was a rain-spattered window and a cloudy, grey sky. Perfect. Elliot fell back on his pillow and covered his eyes with his hand.

There went his plans for the day. He and Gavin had been talking about getting a pick-up football game going in order to help Gavin prepare for the big semi-finals game next weekend. Despite the brutal practices every day after school, Gavin still felt like he was not ready. Elliot smirked, thinking about how stubborn his best friend was. He removed his hand from his eyes and placed it under his head. Watching his ceiling fan lazily spin around, he let out a sigh. Might as well get out of bed now that he was awake.

He threw back his covers and got up, shuddering at the feeling of the cold hardwood against his bare feet. Once the feeling passed, he reached his hands up to the ceiling and stretched before running a hair through his shaggy hair. Letting out a yawn, he grabbed his cell phone from his bedside table and shuffled out of his room to the kitchen. His parents had already left for work and had left Elliot a note to keep his sisters out of trouble.

Sure, Jamie he could handle. She was in seventh grade and a perfect angel. Sam? A junior who partied even more than he did. Elliot shook his head and dug through the cupboards for the Pop-Tarts. ”Yes!” he said, taking out the last package of brown sugar and cinnamon. He tossed the empty box into recycling and was biting into his first Pop-Tart when his cell phone buzzed. Elliot picked up his phone and saw that the text was from Grace. Need to talk? he thought, taking another bite of Pop-Tart. He set his breakfast down and sent his girlfriend a response:

Hey, babe. I can be ready whenever. Where do you want to meet up?
<3 Elliot

Elliot continued to look down at his phone even after the “message sent” screen disappeared. I wonder what’s up, he thought, picking up his Pop-Tarts and taking a seat at the table. He picked up the newspaper and started reading the front page, waiting for Grace’s reply.

So take the photographs and still frames in your mind-
Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time-
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial-
For what it's worth it was worth all the while-

It's something unpredictable
But in the end is right
I hope you had the time of your life

xxxFeeling her cell buzz in her pocket, she got it out of her pocket and pulled up the text that was from Elliot. Grace thought for a moment at where would be a good place to meet up at. Normally, she would've chosen some place outside, but seeing as the weather wasn't going to permit and chat outside today, she figured staying inside might be best.

Not outside, that's for sure. Think I can I come over to your place? Or you over here, doesn't bother me any.
-Grace

Hitting the send button, she got up off the couch and walked up to the back door and opened it, allowing Ace to run outside in the fenced in back yard. Regardless of the fact that he was an indoor dog, the rain or cold weather never seemed to bother him. However, the only thing that really irritated Grace to no end was that he always seem to get step in the muddiest parts of the yard and she would have to clean him off before he tracked it all throughout the house, and cleaning every grain of dirt from the carpet is a nightmare when there's a thousand prints everywhere.

Jogging up the stairs, she got her rain proof jacket from her closet and laid it on her bed incase she was going to go over to Elliots instead of him coming here. She knew that his sisters were probably at his house and this was a conversation that she really didn't want anyone else overhearing. Thinking that it might be best, she sent a second test to Elliot really quick.

If your sisters are in the house, it might be best for you to come over here. I don't want eavesdroppers. . . just saying.
Love you, Grace

Sending the second message, she placed the phone back into her pocket and walked down the stairs to the back door. Letting Ace inside again, she stopped him on the rug that they kept in front of the door and she took the rag that always was hung up to wipe his feet of the mud. Sure enough, he'd did a good job of getting himself to be a filthy mess.
"Why do you do this, huh? You silly dog. It's a good thing your sweet personality over shadows your annoying habits, you know that?" she said to the dog who just looked up at her innocently and wagged his tail. Grace simply laughed and then let him go to run around the house now that he was all clean as she resumed to waiting on a response from Elliot once more.

It did not take long for Elliot's phone to go off again. He read the text and was in the middle of his reply when he received Grace's next message.

Yeah, they're still here. Give me 15 minutes to wake up Sam and get ready and I'll be on my way. Love you, too!

Elliot finished his Pop-Tarts and set down the paper before getting up to toss out the package and walk down the hall to Sam's room. He knocked in the middle of the "Parental Advisory" poster that was taped to her door and waited for a response. Nothing. He knocked louder and pressed his ear to the door. She better be in there, he thought, listening for movement. He let out a sigh of relief when he heard rustling and a groan. "What?" came a groggy reply.

"Good morning, starshine," Elliot said, opening the door to peek his head inside. "I'm heading over to Grace's so you're in charge of Jamie." Sam looked at the clock next to her bed before glaring at her brother. "Do you know what time it is?" she asked angrily. "Yeah, time for you to get your lazy a** out of bed," Elliot replied. Sam groaned and threw her pillow at the door but Elliot had already retreated to the hall. "I'll be back in five to make sure you're up."

He shut his sister's door and walked down the hall to his room. Closing his own door behind him, Elliot slipped out of his pajama pants and t-shirt into jeans and a green button-up flannel. He then put on his black Converse and ran his hand through his hair before making sure he had his wallet, cell phone and car keys. With everything in his pockets, he left his room to check on Sam. Her bedroom door was open so Elliot continued on to the living room. Sam was wrapped up in her blanket on the couch, watching whatever Saturday cartoons kids watched these days.

"I'm leaving," Elliot announced, heading for the front door. "Tell Grace I say hi," Sam said, not taking her eyes away from the television. "Will do." Elliot saluted his sister before leaving the house and running to get into his blue Volkswagen Jetta. He started it up, pulled out of his driveway, and was on his way to Grace's.

xxxGrace glanced down at her phone once more when she felt it buzz and saw what Elliot had written. When she read the part that said he'd be here in fifteen minutes, that was when her nerves really took hold of her. She had exactly fifteen minutes, more or less, before she had to face Elliot and tell him the secret that she'd been keeping from for near a month now. She hoped that he would understand, but she wasn't sure just how well that he might take it. After all, she wasn't going to exactly blame him for whatever type of reaction that he might give her, he was entitled to just about anything. She was the one who had messed up. . . her and Gavin both.

A thought suddenly popped into her head that maybe she should've told Gavin first. That way she'd at least have someone with her to break it to Elliot, whom she cared for much more then Gavin of course. If Gavin went or stayed, it didn't concern her too much, though she might be a little mad at him if he did leave simply because this was partly his problem as well, but that was a matter for another day she supposed. Elliot on the other hand, she wanted him to stay with her. She loved him more then anything else and the last thing that she wanted was to lose him over some very stupid mistake. After a while, she realized that she had only thought of that because the thought of facing Elliot all by herself and telling him scared her. It was cowardly thinking, and Grace quickly pushed it from her mind.

The major problem was, that this was a mistake that would forever be in her face. In all of there faces. Simply sleeping with someone else? Yeah, she supposed that could be forgiven over some time especially since she was drunk and didn't entiirely remember what had went on anyway at the time. But adding a baby to the equation just threw everything off. A baby would not go away, that was something that was going to stay for the rest of their lives unless she decided to let someone adopt it, which she wasn't entirely sure about yet. Part of her, or most of her really, didn't want a kid. . . at least not at this time in her life. Another part of her was trying to think of how hard it might be to let go of the baby when the time came. While she was absolutely certain that she didn't want it now because it was doing nothing but interfering with her life, she wasn't so sure if she'd feel the same way in a few months or not.

Sighing heavily and pushing those troubled thoughts aside for the moment, she walked to the kitchen and got herself a glass of water. Taking a few sips of it, she went and turned the TV to a music station and let some form of rock music float through the house before she returned to the kitchen and started cleaning the dishes that had been used this morning by her and her parents before they'd left as she waited for Elliot to arrive.

ELLIOT WALTERS

User ImageAnother turning point a fork stuck in the road
Time grabs you by the wrist directs you where to go
So make the best of this test and don't ask why
It's not a question but a lesson learned in time

Elliot strummed on the steering wheel as he waited for the light to change. A classical piece came on next and he reached for his iPod to look for a different song. He needed something upbeat on a dreary day like this. Not finding anything immediately on shuffle, he decided to just play through his dance mix. The light changed to green and Elliot stepped on the gas while "Give Me Everything (Tonight)" started to play. "Me not working hard? Yeah right, picture that with a Kodak..." Elliot mouthed the words as he continued to strum on the wheel.

"Tonight," he sang when it got to the chorus. "I will love love you tonight. Give me everything tonight. For all we know, we might not get tomorrow. Let's do it tonight." He did not sing along with the girl but instead bobbed his head like a fool. He did not care about the looks he was getting from the person trying to pass him. It was his car; he could do whatever he wanted. The idiot in the other car managed to pass and tried to cut him off, causing Elliot to slam on his breaks and honk his horn. He somehow restrained himself from flipping the bird. "Dumbass!" he yelled out.

The other guy flipped him off instead and Elliot had to take deep breaths to calm himself down. He hated people who did not know how to drive. I'm going to see my girlfriend, he thought, stepping on the gas again. I don't think she'd appreciate me getting into anything with people who have road rage... or me having road rage... He glared at the license plate in front of him and debated whether or not he should write it down. Doesn't matter, he thought, turning down Grace's street.

Elliot pulled his car into his Grace's driveway and safely stowed his iPod in his glove compartment. He then got out of his car and jogged up to the front porch. Shaking water from his hair, he pressed the doorbell and waited for Grace to come to the door and let him in.

xxxWhen Grace heard the doorbell ring, she figured that the only person it could be was Elliot. It wasn't like she was expecting anyone else at the moment, so she quickly dried her hands off with the towel that was hung around the door of the refridgerator and walked to the front door.

Once there, she opened it and quickly pulled him inside and out of the rain, shaking her head at him.
"You know that I've said a hundred times before that you don't have to ring the doorbell, you can just come on in. Especially when it's raining outside like this and I'm already expecting you," she said to him with a smile as she reached up and kissed him on the cheek once before going to the television in the other room and turning it off, knowing that the music was a little bit too loud to make for a pleasant conversation anyway. "But no worries, you're forgiven. Saved me from having to do the rest of the dishes anyway," she said grinning, before it dimmed into a faded smile as she realized what she was going to have to say to him in just a short matter of time.

Though of course as always, Grace was a procrastinator at heart and she prolonged the bad news by bringing up small talk. It was a habit that she often had and she knew that Elliot would know her well enough to know most of her little habits, but she hadn't really given much thought to that at the moment.
"So, how are your sisters? Sam's not driving you too up the wall I hope," she said to him with a small laugh. Many times she'd enjoyed the stories that Elliot would tell of that particular sister. In a way, she thought it was a little strange how Jamie was always so sweet and calm, while Sam was the complete opposite, and Elliot was left somewhere in the middle of them both. Grace herself had always half wished that she'd had siblings as well just to see if it'd be the same, but her parents had always said that one kid was enough trouble. If they only knew how right they were at the moment. . .

Instead of standing in the entrace way, Grace motioned him to the living room and sat down on the couch there. Pulling her legs up on the seat to, she crossed them beneath her and waited on Elliot to speak all the while her mind slightly distracted as she tried to figure out how to put her little secret into words for him. She could, if she wanted, be blunt and just tell him how it was. But she knew that it would also be brutally honest as well, and brutal honesty in this case would hurt him much more then she intended she figured. The last thing she wanted to do was hurt him and so she she tried to think of a way that would make it. . . not quite as bad if that were even possible.

Elliot was looking out at the rain when he heard the door open behind him. He turned around and looked at Grace with a smile. "Hey you," he said as she shook her head and pulled him inside. He then chuckled. "And you can tell me that a hundred more times because I'm not going to just waltz in your house unannounced. As much as you want me to, I don't live here." He kissed Grace back before taking off his shoes and setting them on the mat next to the door.

He followed Grace and wanted to laugh at her next comment. She was such a procrastinator; she probably was not even anywhere close to finishing the dishes. Elliot noticed her smile dim but did not say anything; she would tell him what she had to when she was ready. "They're both fine," he said, walking into the living room. "Jamie just found out she got the lead for the school musical. She's going to be Cosette in Les Miserables. Good to know she has musical talent like her brother."

He puffed out his chest as he took a seat next to Grace. They both knew that he could not carry a tune in a bucket. He enjoyed singing, but he just did not do it well. "But Sam..." Elliot chuckled, leaning back in the couch. "Got grounded for sneaking out of the house again. Almost thought she wasn't home this morning when I tried to wake her up. That girl sleeps like a rock." He closed his eyes and sighed.

"Sometimes I wish she were more like Jamie," he admitted, opening his eyes to look at Grace. "But at the same time, Sam is Sam. She can be frustrating at times, but she just has this 'I don't care what you think about me' attitude that I find admirable." He smirked. "The woes of being an older brother, I guess."

So take the photographs and still frames in your mind-
Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time-
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial-
For what it's worth it was worth all the while-
It's something unpredictable
But in the end is right
I hope you had the time of your life

xxxGrace rolled her eyes at him and just laughed at what he said. "Fine then, suit yourself. Go ahead and get rained on and catch a cold, I'm not gonna be there to comfort you. I'll just be there saying you should've listened to me," she said to him teasingly followed by a little more laughter.

Grace smiled a little when he said that his sisters were both fine, but couldn't help ---no matter how hard she had tried--- to hold back the laughter that had come when he said that Jamie had musical talent like her brother. After a few seconds, she was able to contain the laughter though an amused grin still played across her face.

"Well, let's just hope she's a bit better then you. It'd do her some good," she said, bumping his shoulder slightly. Grace knew that he liked to sing, but every time that he did and she was around, she couldn't help the smile that played on her face. She'd once jokingly begged him to stop when they were in the car together one time. While he may not be all that great of a singer, it was kind of more this way that he wasn't. She just had more fuel to playfully tease him with, not that she was all that great of a singer herself, but then again, she didn't sing while anyone was around either though she had on occasion with Elliot just to give them both something to laugh about. "Maybe you should audition for a musical sometime, it'd be interesting to see what part you'd get," she said to him with a smile.

Grace listened to him explain about Sam, she was always an interesting one to hear about in her opinion. . . though it was rarely ever particulary good news. It just kind of amazed Grace that one girl could get into so much trouble so many times in a way.
"Yeah, Sam is going to be Sam. But kind of like you said, you've got to love her anyway, she said before smiling at his last sentence.

"It would be times like those that I thank my parents everyday that I'm a single child and they didn't want anymore kids after me," she said with a grin. "Worked out well I'd say, this way I'm not responsible for anyone but myself," she said though she quickly saw the mistake in her words. While it was true that she was responsible for no one but herself at the moment, in just a short amount of time, she herself would have a baby that she was completely responsible for. Something that was much more time consuming then just a sibling, though equally important she supposed.

"I've got something that you're not going to like, nor want to hear," she said to him, her blue eyes turning slightly saddened as she looked in his direction. "Figure that I'll go ahead and say that first so at the very least it'll give you some time to prepare for the bad news," she said to sighing soflty. Hell, it was still a shock to her with everything that was happening. She could only imagine how much more it was going to surprise him. "And just remember that I really, really love you and that I'm sorry," she added also, wanting to get that in so that he'd have it in his mind before it was over run with other thoughts.

Elliot stuck his tongue out at Grace as she fought back laughter. "Of course she's better than me," he said with a smirk, bumping Grace back. "How else would she have gotten a lead role." He chuckled and shook his head. "Jamie has an amazing voice. My parents are thinking about signing her up for vocal lessons so she can be even more amazing. Me, on the other hand... I'll stick to performing in my car." He smiled.

"I don't know if I could handle being an only child," Elliot said when Grace changed the subject. "Sure, it would've been nice to have gotten more attention and more presents for my birthday and Christmas growing up, but in all seriousness I wouldn't trade being a brother for anything. It might've been nice having an older sibling to teach me right from wrong, but I'm glad that I can be that person for my sisters. Not that Sam listens, though," he smirked. Would she ever?

Elliot's smirk faded and his stomach dropped slightly when Grace told him she had bad news. "O-okay?" he said, shifting to look at her better. What could she possibly have to say? Did one of her grandparents pass away? Was she moving? She was sorry? For what? Did she sleep with someone else? Dozens of possible stories ran through Elliot's head as he waited for Grace to speak. "What is it?"

xxxGrace pondered that over for a moment before she glanced over at him with her head tilted to the side slightly. "You know what? I don't think I've ever heard Jamie sing before," she mused, smiling slightly. "You'll have to tell me when her play is so that I can come watch her and see just how much she puts you to shame then," Grace said, laughing a little before kissing his cheek lightly and pulling back.

"Hm, I can see your point," she said to him with a small nod of her head. "Besides, getting all the attention is not always a good thing, you know. Mom and dad are always constantly worrying about me because I'm their only kid. They're always afraid that they're going to lose me or something I guess, don't really know. But I guess being a little over-protective sometimes isn't always a bad thing. . . just annoying," she said, smiling at the last part. Grace really did love her parents, but she'd often complained to Elliot about what the latest thing was that they worried about her doing. Of course, on top of that, he knew all about her parents being over-protective. It had taken a while to convince them that Elliot was an alright person to go out with and have as a boyfriend.

Grace could see that he was thinking, trying to come up with different possibilities for the bad news she was going to share but she had no clue if he was hitting close to base or not. Grace scooted a little closer to him and reached for his hand to hold it, keeping her gaze on their linked hands as she spoke, too afraid to look up at him while she was speaking.
"At the party last month, you know how we all got a little drunk? Or, well, a lot in some of our cases. . . When I woke up the next morning, Gavin was with me and we kinda figured out we slept together. I don't even remember it happening really. I truly don't," she said to him, saying the last part quickly as her blue eyes came up to meet his gaze. She thought about temporarily leaving it as that for a moment and letting him digest that bit of information before she thought better of it. She figured that if she dropped all the news on him at once, it would be better then delivering two blows at two different times. "And. . . I'm pregnant Elliot," she said to him in a voice just above a whisper as her eyes filled with tears that slowly started to run down her cheeks.

Grace waited for what sort of reaction that he might give, hoping that it wouldn't be too bad but not blaming him if it was. Everytime that she had thought about telling him about this in the past couple weeks, she'd imagined a thousand different scenarios that could play out. Ones that just became increasingly worse when she realized she was pregnant about a week ago. Still, she sat there quietly as she held on to his hand and a few more tears leaked from her eyes.

[[OOC: It's alright, just do your best. Besides, you're better then a lot of others I'm roleplaying/roleplayed with so it's all good. =)]]

Elliot smiled. "Of course I'll let you know," he said. "I'm sure Jamie would love having you there. And put me to shame? Please. She puts me to shame, brings me back, then puts me there again.” He smirked. ”Oh, by the way, Sam wanted me to tell you she says hi. Don’t know if she meant it, though, because she was absorbed in the television when she said it…"

He thought about that for a moment as he listened to Grace talk about her parents. ”Yeah, but they worry because they love you,” he said. ”It may seem annoying now, but after you leave for college I’m sure you’re going to miss their pestering. Then again… I’m sure your parents will continue to be over-protective for the rest of your life... But you’re their baby and it’s just what parents do. You’ll probably be the same way when you have a kid.”

Elliot stared at Grace but did not really see her as he continued to think about all the possibilities. Only when she started to speak did he focus on her face again. She moved closer and took his hand. He looked at her hand in his and gave it a small squeeze before looking up. Her gaze lingered on their hands and he knew it had to be bad if she could not look him in the eyes. She finally opened her mouth and with every word she said, Elliot’s stomach sunk even further.

When Grace finished, Elliot stood up and walked away from the couch, his left hand on his hip and the other running through his hair. ”You slept with Gavin,” he said in disbelief. He covered his mouth with his right hand before spinning around to face Grace. ”You slept with Gavin,” he said again, his tone increasing in anger. ”And now you’re… you’re pregnant?!” He looked down at the girl on the couch, not recognizing her. She was not Grace. Grace would not have let something like this happen. Grace would never cheat on him.

Elliot threw his arms into the air and walked away from the couch again. ”I can’t believe… I…” Elliot tried to gather his words, but he did not know what to say. His girlfriend cheated on him with his best friend? And now she was pregnant with his baby? Grace… the girl of his dreams… the one he could see spending the rest of his life with was going to have another man’s baby? Elliot took a deep breath and slowly turned around, taking a seat on the couch again.

He rested his elbows on his knees and put his face in his hands. ”Why, Grace?” he asked softly before breaking down in tears.

xxxGrace laughed at what he said. "I'm sure she would and you can tell her I'm looking forward to seeing her then and tell her I said Congratualtions. As well as tell Sam I said hello back," she said with a smile, shrugging a little. Whether his sister had meant it or not, Grace didn't see any reason in not sending the greeting along.

"I'm sure I will," she said to him with a small smile, one that held a slight bit of unease to it. Would she miss her parents? Without a doubt, that wasn't what brought the feeling of unease into the pit of her stomach. What brought it on was his last sentence. 'You'll probably be the same when you have a kid'. Well, she had about eight months to figure that out she supposed which was a thought that both scared her and. . . .just scared her more really. The truth was, she didn't want to know what she was going to feel like with a kid. She didn't want one, or at least not when she was still this young in her life. Grace wanted to finish high school, go to college, start a career and a life with the person she loved. Not have those plans changed all because she was pregnant with a baby who wasn't even Elliots.

Grace watched him as her words sunk in slowly and he processed them. Before he even started to speak, she could see how much she was hurting him and it was hurting her in return to know that. She watched him get up from the couch and walk around, her face saddening at the tone he used, but she didn't respond to him until he looked back at her.
"Yes," she said so quietly that he wasn't even sure he could hear her. Her sight was becoming more and more blurry with her tears and she blinked a couple times to allow them to fall so she could see him a little more clearly again.

While she wanted to know what the rest of his sentence was going to be before he cut himself off again, she didn't bother asking. She didn't really feel like she was in the position in asking him questions, if anything, she felt like crawling up in a dark corner somewhere and dying. But of course, this was her problem and she had to face it regardless of how much she wished otherwise. Grace was glad when he returned to the couch, fearing that he was going to walk out the door and leave for a moment. Seeing his beautiful face crumple into tears though broke her and she went closer to him, putting her arms around him to comfort him; all the while trying to contain her own sobs.

"I don't know why," she said to him, shaking her head back and forth. "I love you, Elliot, and you only. I've never, not even for one second, liked Gavin at all. I only saw him as a friend. . . and not even a best one at that. I love you, Elliot," she said to him, her voice almost desperate for him to believe that. "I don't even know if Gavin knows what we did. I don't actually remember anything other then waking up with him. . . and I left before he woke up himself so he never saw me in the morning. He was in a bed all by himself for all that he knows I think," she said to him running a hand through her long, brown hair for a moment before she put her hand on the side of his face and pulled it up so that she could look at his face.

"You're the first one I told because I love you the most, Elliot. I don't care about what anyone else thinks except you. I don't want to lose you over this stupid, stupid mistake I've made," she said to him, searching his eyes for any sort of sign that she was getting through to him even a little. "I'm so sorry for hurting you like this. I never, ever meant to I swear," she said to him before she started sobbing herself, though she tried her hardest to keep it to a minimum. The only reason she was crying for was because she was scared. Scared about the future, scared at the thought of being pregnant and having a baby, scared at the thought of losing Elliot over this. . . scared over so many other things as well.
