With the sun high in the sky, no cloud in sight, it was a perfect day. The sun would keep people warm from the breeze and the breeze would keep people from getting too warm from the sun. The cottages around Clarus Arbor were bustling with activity, whether it be getting ready for lunch, or getting ready to continue with the day's work. It seemed normal, except for a young Witch that decided to explore somewhere she had never gone before...
Lilith had her head stuck in books the last few days and felt as though she was at a point in time where rest was very much needed. It seemed to her that she was working a lot more than playing, and the imbalanced seemed to make her kind of jumpy. From reading, she had learned that Clarus Arbor would be a good place for her to practice Healing, whether it be on small animals or people that got hurt while working. It wasn't that she wasn't mentally prepared for labor.... It just was that she didn't look the part.
She looked down at her feet as her black and red heels were going to be in for quite a work out today. They were already riddled with dirt and would only get worse as the day progressed. Luckily, the day was dry and moisture wouldn't get the dirt to change to mud. Lilith looked around, not noticing her other problem until now. The bus had dropped her off and she didn't know where to go... exactly. The book mentioned people and working, but she was pretty sure she couldn't just walk onto a farm and ask if she could do something. If Lilith were them, even she knew that she wouldn't let herself onto her property.
"Ugh," she let out. "I really do need to stop with these random excursions without thinking about them..." She squatted on the side of the road, looking at little bugs that were walking on the dirt, wondering what she should do now. Lilith knew that she could always just take the next bus back to the Academy, but she didn't really want to do that; it would of just been a wasted day!

The buses were running on the usual schedule today, each one coming and going without the slightest delay. Just a normal day in Clarus Arbor. People were getting onto the bus as Mina relaxed in a tree, her usual spot in between her adventures.
Just a normal day was starting to get boring to her, until she spotted that one unusual person on the side of the road by her tree. Mina was used to all the usual people who ventured this area but, she didn't seem familiar. Her outfit was too pristine for this place. Maybe from Lumena or the Academy. It had been awhile since she had been back to the Academy.
Maybe she was lost and needed help, Mina loved to help around with the travelers. It gave her the opportunity to learn new things that she might not have known. "Maybe she knows about any new missions." If she did that would mean that there would be a new adventure for her to go on. "I hope she doesn't freak out...."
Mina slowly climbed to a branch above the other witch and lowered herself down while holding on with her knees. She had learned how to climb things easily after watching boys play around in the summer sun. Her hair dangled down and wiggled around in the slight breeze. "Hello!" She waved to the witch and smiled. "Are you lost Miss? I mean you seem a little displeased and out of place here."

Lilith was still looking at the ground as the Witch got behind her and climbed up the tree; it wasn't that the noise made wasn't audible, but more so the fact that Lilith was concentrating so hard on the ground, wondering what she was going to do that the noise just went through one ear and out the other. It wasn't until Lilith saw a head pop down and heard a 'hello' was there any reaction.
The surprise caused Lilith to kick back from her squatting position and land nearly on her bottom; her hands saved her petite figure from the dust-cloud that would of arose with her fall. Lilith was wide-eyed and had a higher heart-rate with that surprise, but she quickly regained her posture. Standing up, she greeted the Witch, wondering if she should somehow... Tilt her head far enough so that she would be 'right side' up to the Witch.
She sighed as she heard the Witch ask if she was 'lost' and wasn't sure what to say. "I guess you can say I'm not physically lost, since I do know where I am and how I got here, but I am mentally lost."
Unsure of what to do next, Lilith held out her hand to the Witch and introduced herself. "My name is Lilith. I recently became a Witch and discovered my 'power'... So I was hoping to find somewhere to practice. There are already doctors in the big city, so I thought it would be better for me to aid people in the country-side..."
No matter how many times Lilith thought back about her idea, it was still a lot better in theory than it was in practice. She brushed her bangs away from her face as she looked at the girl hanging outside down. "I guess the reason why I'm lost is that I don't know where to begin... Mostly because I don't really know anyone here. Bad idea to come out here not knowing anyone, huh?"

Mina almost giggled as the other witch fell backward. She smiled and swung back and forth a bit on the branch, it creaked very lightly in protest. She ignored it since she knew it was strong enough to hold her weight. "Are you ok? I didn't mean to scare ya." She tilted her head a bit to see a different view of the witch. "Oh so it's that kinda lost. Hmmm I get the physically type of lost all the time, I don't think I have a good sense of direction." She laughed a bit and smiled.
Mina held out one of her hands and shook hands with the witch. "I'm Mina Locke and I'm a witch too. The country is a nice place to practice, it's very quiet and there's a lot of nature around unlike in the city." She crossed her arms over her chest as she hung from the branch. " It's nice to meet ya Lilith, it's always nice to meet others aspiring to become doctors."
She curled up and then hung from her hands this time before lightly falling to the dusty ground. She patted her hands on the side of her pants and then fixed her hair a bit. "Well if you don't know anyone here, I can help. I know my way around here. Where do ya want to go first? There's a really awesome sushi restaurant not far from here, we can sit and I can tell you a bit about what's around here." Her hair was still a little messed up as she rocked back and forth in her boots, she didn't like sitting or standing still for too long. She was hoping that the witch would agree since it had been awhile since she had talked to someone from the city.

As she brushed off more of the dirt, she smiled at her tree-buddy. "I'm fine, thank you!" There was a slight red blush on her face from her small adrenalin rush. "It was just... very unexpected," she exclaimed with a laugh. "I never thought I'd meet someone that popped out of a tree, but I can say I'm quite glad and excited to meet you, Mina!"
Lilith looked around as another gust of wind blew, moving the tall grasses and the trees. "I have to admit that I've been... Understanding things better and remembering things better... But I don't think I'd ever make much of a doctor." For a second there, she was absorbed in her own thoughts, but then remembered Mina saying 'other'. "Are you a doctor...? I'm still kind of new at all this. I'm still a pretty new witch, I guess. I'd be really grateful to see things around here and do things! I feel so inexperienced!" She pouted just slightly.
When she saw Mina get out of the tree, Lilith was still quite amazed with her ability to climb trees. She was very tempted to ask Mina to teach her, but with a dress and her heels on... It probably would not end well.
"I don't think I've ever had.. Sushi before? It does sound interesting though!" It wasn't that she never heard of it... But she always preferred her nice juicy steaks! Lilith didn't know where else to go at the moment, but she was willing to do anything to do something with her day. "Lead the way, Miss Mina!"

Mina smiled too, she listened to Lilith and nodded her head from side to side as she thought about how to reply to her question about being a doctor. "Well I'm not sure what I can do yet, my healing magic seems only to work on animals so I can't do much for people ya know?" She tilted her head and closed her eyes as she thought. "Well I'm sure you know a lot more about the city than I do so I would be in the same place if I had met you in a city."
She thought about the animals that she had helped and wondered why it only worked on them and not people. She opened her eyes and pulled herself out of her thoughts before she zoned out and stared blankly into the distance. "Well I can bring you to the best place around here." She smiled and started walking through the grass towards the little country town. She waved to a few people and greeted the with a polite 'hello' as she walked towards the Sushi restaurant. "Well this is it Lilith." She smiled and pointed to the small little building that she stood in front of now.
She opened the door to let Lilith walk in first, she was always the polite one letting ladies go first even though she was a lady too. "You'll love this place, it's all really fresh and amazing!" She smiled and tapped her boots a bit before getting ready to walk in so that there wouldn't be as much dirt on the floor inside.

"Oh animals," Lilith said with a gasp. "That's actually how I discovered my little healing ability... A rabbit was hurt..." She remembered that day clear as though it was yesterday. There was no words she had to describe that day, but she was happy and shocked by what had happened. "The little guy hurt it's foot... I had been planning to bring it to someone else, but it was... Completely amazing!"
She was still smiling as they approached the little shop. Lilith had seen Mina greet so many people that she was a little jealous; she's never known anyone like that. Growing up in Lumena Castle Town, there were just so many people that kept to themselves that it was hard to know people like the way Mina did. "This place looks so much more quaint and homey than all the restaurants I've been to in Lumena... Feels kinda weird, but in a good way!"
As Lilith stepped in as Mina held the door, she tried to absorb everything she was seeing. The interior was not huge, nor without a lot of tables, but there were some people sitting at tables. They sat down their at their own table as menus were given to them. "This place is too cute," she squeed liked the city girl she was. It was definitely easy to tell that she didn't belong there, with her reaction and the way she dressed. Lilith didn't pay much attention to the looks and stares she got; she was quite used to it with her parents' reputation.
Lilith picked up the menu and started to look through it, reading through the name of each dish and what was in it. There was a few moments of silence, but then she finally admitted it to Mina. "I... Have no idea what I should eat here..."

Mina quickly scanned through the menu and looked for something that was a good medium between spicy and salty. It had been a week since she had been here since she had been looking for a book that had been lost somewhere in the forest during one of her adventures. She smiled a bit as she looked at the California rolls. "Well these aren't spicy, these are a little bit salty, the orange stuff on the outside is caviar." She turned the menu with her finger on the picture of it towards Lilith so she could see.
She opened another menu and looked at the tea choices for today, picking a dark black tea for herself and leaving that menu open to Lilith too. "If you want something less odd you can order Tempura shrimp which is just shrimp fried in a flaky batter, it's really good with sweet and sour sauce." Her stomach growled a bit, she laughed. "I guess I'm a little hungrier than I thought." She sat back after she had figured out her order, it was nothing big this time. She relaxed in her seat and took out a piece of paper to draw on.
She drew a picture of a fox she had played with when she was a kid, it was small with a few scars on it. She thought about her childhood for a minute as she drew as if she was in a trance. She snapped out of it after a few minutes, she still wondered about her dad since he could possibly still be alive. She composed herself before any signs of what was going on in her head showed on her face. "Well when you're ready to order I can get someone over here to take our orders, they're very fast here."
"So whatcha wanna talk about first? I'm open to pretty much anything and I know a lotta people here if ya need to find someone." She smiled as she thought of everyone's story. She had learned so much in her time here in the country side. It was nice knowing so many people, it was so different that the city life Lilith probably had gotten used to. "It's nice here today, not as packed as usual."

Lilith peeked at the menu and looked over at Mina's when she pointed out what was good what wasn't. At the same time, she continued to browse. It seemed as although there was meat alongside the seafood, there wasn't any red meat. Well, then again, she didn't come all the way here to eat the same thing she did back home...
"Hmm..." She used her index fingers to point at the things that were introduced to her, reading what was inside and what they were made of. Eventually, she got to something that sounded interesting, it had the tempera that Mina suggest and udon noodles! Of course, she wasn't really sure of what it was, but Lilith was interested in trying. "I think I want to try the tempera and..." She paused as she tried to say the word. "Uh-don?"
When she heard Mina's stomach grumbled, she giggled a little bit and then looked at her drawing. "Aww! The little fox looks absolutely adorable!"
As they were walking here, she had thought about it and well, didn't really know where to start. She had thought about asking about who would have the highest chance of getting hurt, or where there would be animals that might of needed tending to. Lilith didn't want to learn from other doctors, but every day people that had to be doctors here. It didn't see right to her, however, not to get to know her companion first. "How about we get to know each other a little more first? Well, I'm kind of curious about your drawing... Does it mean something special to you? I've also noticed the fox on your shirt."
Lilith smiled as she for Mina's answer as well as the chance to order. The restaurant wasn't as noisy as the restaurants she was used to. Taking a deep breath, she relaxed against her chair and let her feet rest from the walking.

Mina smiled and waved for her waiter friend to take their order. She told him the order in short hand, to anyone else it would sound like she was talking in another language from outer space. He nodded and wrote it down quickly on his notepad before returning to the back to give the chef the order. She smiled a bit. "They'll have the order ready pretty quickly here. They have a lotta cooks back there." She worked on her drawing a bit more and looked up at Lilith.
"Well I don't know why but foxes and I have always gotten along, they like me a lot and I like them. Like when I was little I used to have a fox that lived in my backyard, it would always come up to me and follow me around when I was outside. My mom always said it was my dad's little friend keeping me company while he was away." She reach and un-clipped the little fox charm from her pants and showed it to Lilith. "My dad gave me this for my 5th birthday, I think that was probably the last time I saw him for more than a few minutes. He travels a lot and I actually haven't heard from him in a few years.."
She smiled a bit and tilted her head as she changed something on the drawing. "What about you, what's it like living in the city? I used to live there when I was really little but I don't remember much." She took out another piece of paper and drew a little chibi of the waiter carrying a tower of plates. "How's the Academy too, I need to visit there again sometime. I think I left a book somewhere there." She laughed a bit as she thought of the book that she had left on the roof a few years ago.
