  This is a private roleplay between Sarangerel [Bikicakes] and Yue Lao [Face Your Demons].
Setting:
Ichikoi Bar, after hours.
It's about time Yue Lao got Sara drunk, and that's exactly what she aims to do. Usually she gives the wine she makes to Jianyu to test, but tonight she's choosing to involve Sara in her booze-saturated world. Poor Sara? Don't forget the storytelling!

It was late. Very late, in fact. Yue Lao had invited Sara over any night of the past week, but had never seen her at the bar. In the hopes that Sara would show up and let herself in while Yue was cleaning the bar, she had left the door of the Ichi-koi unlocked.
Essentially, Jianyu seemed like he was too busy to try this new wine out, but it was ready to be opened. Yue Lao wanted someone's opinion on it, because it seemed rather... strong. As she set the chairs up on the tables to prepare to clean the floor, Yue Lao thought about Jianyu and how much she missed his presence in her life. He was her closest friend, and she needed him there, but she wasn't sure if his rank for the Emperor would ever let him return.
"Hopefully you'll be home soon," she mumbled aloud to herself, as if talking to him from far away.
There was another reason she wanted Sara to come by, though: Yue Lao had never seen Sara drunk, or heard of that occassion, and what else was the daughter of a vineyard owner good for but getting her friends drunk? She planned to be personally responsible for Sara's foray into the world of alcohol. She had no idea that she might even learn something fascinating, namely of the temple at the center of the lake in the North. An idea that just might plant itself in her brain and refuse to go away. Because if there was one thing Yue Lao loved to do, it was break into places where she was told she was not allowed to go. The bathhouse should have been some indication of that.
Sara might not show, but Yue really hoped she would. In the mean time, she tried to clean the floor as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Before she knew it the young Mongolian was at the bar, she looked at the enterance for a second and took in a deep breath. "Neg?" She called out before putting her hand on the door, she expected to find it locked however when it opened slightly she quickly pulled her hand back. Tilting her head to the side she finally worked up the courage to sink into the establishment eyes on the look out for the one and only Yue. It did not take her long to notice the bar or the brightly coloured Lunarian cleaning the floors with the same passion burning in her eyes which burnt when Yue was going anything. She smiled and stepped forward. "Good evening Yue, Thank you for inviting me over." She gave a small bow before approaching her wondering what was coming her way. Seeing as it was Yue who had arranged the night she knew that it would be... interesting to say the least.
Her eyes scanned around, she had been here before on a few occasions. The most memorable was the night that she had met Cias. He had returned a pin to her and it seemed like one thing lead to another, it was not long ago that she had met him once more, the two of them where set to go out together on a 'date' however for now that was a very closely kept secret. Heavens knew what conclusions others would come to, especially Mei.

Yue heard the door open, and looked up to see Sara entering and greeting her. Yue Lao beamed, extremely happy to see her friend there. She put the mop down, admiring her work out of her peripheral vision. "I'm glad you decided to come by, Sweetpea!" Yue bounced over to the Lunarian and scooped her up in her strong arms, hugging her tight and spinning her once before putting her down. "How are you?" She stood with her hands on her hips, smiling. Suddenly, her face lit up as she remembered something.
"I almost forgot! The reason I invited you here in the first place. I have a beverage I'd like you to try," she said. Yue turned around and headed into the back of the bar, returning with two cups and a clay vessel. "Jianyu is... well, I think he'd be too busy to worry about this," she said, "so I'd really appreciate it if you'd help me out." Yue Lao winked at Sara and set it down on a table, pulling the chairs down and placing them on the floor with a flourish. They were sitting at the table in the centre. All the other tables had been pushed slightly away from it.
If Yue had had any idea Sara intended to go on a date with Cais... well, she probably would have cautioned against it, but she knew better than anyone that Lunarians sometimes had to learn their own lessons. The ones that stuck with her best were the ones which took pain and struggles to figure out. Yowai scolding her hadn't really made her understand, but as soon as she had fought Kiran, sulked, and a whole slew of things... she finally realized what her selfishness was doing. Regardless, she didn't know about Sara's plans with him. Yue Lao did not get along with Cais in the least, though he was slightly below Shin Mu in terms of the Nobles which she found irritating. At least he had an interesting career. In truth, Sakn was the only Noble she ever got along with, but that was probably because he was a little rough around the edges just like her.

Her eyes lit up when Yue explained their activity for the evening, she had wanted to try some of Yue's wines and drinks since she mentioned her profession on their first meeting. "Oh? I finally get to taste one of the one and only's special brews? I have high expectations of your beverages." She joked with a small smirk, no doubt they would be wonderful. With how passionate Yue seemed to be about her brewery it was impossible for her drinks to come out anything less. She smiled and then slowly wondered over to the table in the middle of the room, sitting down on the seat that Yue had taken down and rested her hands calmly on her lap.
A name Yue had brought up rung a familiar tone to her ears. "Captain Jianyu? I did not know he was your test subject but I will be happy to fill in for him whilst he is otherwise occupied." She had met him once before and he seemed like a very pleasant man, it was funny how everyone in the city seemed to have some connection to everyone else. It made her think for a moment about friendship and all the different experiences they had all shared. Never the less her mind soon drifted back to the topic at hand and she grave a respectful nod of her head occupied by a gentle smile. "It is no trouble at all Neg, I would love to taste your creation." She finished, she had drunk alcohol before - Hua often took her to the bar however Sara was usually the one that stayed sober in order to carry her Guardian home. Never the less she did enjoy the taste.

Yue Lao didn't even consider the possibility that being hoisted up like that could be unpleasant for Sara. Thankfully, she was a good sport about it and didn't complain; in fact, she had chuckled, which made Yue smile again. "I'm not bad! Cleaning always makes me feel like I accomplished something," Yue said. She winked when Sara complimented her cleaning results. Yue could be very lazy, especially now that she was a Fighter, but she did still work at the Ichi-koi. For how much longer, though? She didn't think she could keep on working here. It would turn into volunteer work, more of a career as a bartender than a waitress. The war was beginning to take all of her attention and energy, so on her days off all she wanted to do was sleep and slink around like a criminal.
"It has taken me long enough, hasn't it?" she asked. Yue had started out making all her friends try beverages, but lately she had mellowed out a bit and gotten distracted from that hobby. It was her favourite one, though, and she remembered that every time she picked up the equipment to brew. "Don't expect too much," she cautioned, "the skill I have now is not the skill I had when I made it, as it has to age a while first!" Yue had selected a beer, though, which was much younger than most of the wines she had made. As such, it would be far more recently made, and therefore more skilled, even if she felt her skill was less evident. It had a beautiful purple hue to it.
Yue stole away into the kitchen before replying, bringing back a large dark-glass bottle filled with the beer and two glasses. She poured half a glass into Sara's cup, and half into her own. They would start small. Yue took a seat, and answered, "Yes, he used to be a regular here. That's how I met him." Yue looked at the grain of the table and smiled, thinking back to that first meeting. She shook her head slowly. "It's been a while, though." Yue smiled at Sara, and pushed Sara's glass towards her.
"Now's the time to try it, then! A toast to..." Yue paused, thinking, pursing her lips, "Strength, overcoming what has threatened that, and the peace of mind a troubled heart needs." What she was toasting to inside herself was love that could be returned. A love that was felt from both sides. Her smile seemed a little sad, but it was not a time for sadness. It was one for celebration. Yue needed more of that in her life. So when she tilted her glass to her lips and closed her eyes, she pretended that this beer really could do that. That it could overcome the darkness of the war, and help her embrace change.

"I can second that!" She then took a drink of the purple liquid she was presented with. Sara did not know much about drinks, however she did like this one - the taste was not too harsh or bitter which was the only thing she feared, she had one tried one of Hua's drinks and her face could not help but scrunch together. "It tastes wonderful! Thank you." She held the drink loosely in her hand, looking down a the fluid which was swirling around the rim.
"I am glad you invited me over Yue, I have found myself wanting to get to know a little more about you. Especially since we have been spending a increasing amount of time in each others company." Admittedly Sara did not know that much about the one and only Yue. She knew she was strong, confident and did not seem to fear anything, she brewed alcohol and had a pet monkey - speaking of which it was odd that he had not come to great Sara yet, she wondered where he was - but besides that she did not know what made Yue tick. What made her the individual she was today, what her dreams and ambitions were and what thoughts kept her awake at night. All of which Sara wanted to know.
