The bar was becoming crowded. Stet didn't usually mind -- the more the merrier, and all that jazz -- but in the absence of his friends being there to crowd him, it wasn't as appealing. The pint-sized Casanova was feeling out of sorts, which was never a good sign, strawberry red eyes flicking over the familiar stomping grounds with little interest as he passed through the hubbub. Donning a double-breasted jacket that was a deep, rich red like wine, the sunset male was daring to venture out on his own despite his better judgement. Traversing the grounds outside the bar was never wise for someone who was of a puntable size, but Stet was not known for his stellar thinking skills.

Taking Amara's gentle warnings in stride, the male tucked his hands into his jacket and made his way to the staircase that would lead him through HyTech and out of the bar. He didn't even reach the stairwell before a shot of vibrant green caught his wandering eye, lifting cherry brows with interest. He'd only met one femme fatale with such poisonous colors, and while he was certain the iridescent flash wasn't of his beloved Vino, his curiosity was piqued.

Sauntering towards the green -- the likes of which was attached to a generous figure, instantly earning Stet's approval -- he paused a short distance from the vibrant woman. To him, she gave the aura of needing a spotlight, an electric vibrancy that was somewhat alarming to the laid-back male but enticing at the same time. A promise of trouble was already heavy in the air, and who was he to not meet it with a crooked grin? "I know I haven't seen you around before," he started, offering the other a charming smile, "but I feel like a right fool for having missed you before now." Taking one hand out of his pocket, he extended the orange-tipped digits towards the punch-girl, cocking his head to the side with a latent sort of confidence. "Vanes Ennuis Stet. Stet, if you please."

Ruin was practically lounging on the counter, with one long leg neatly crossed over the other. The bar was filling up rapidly, and she was quietly enjoying the crowd, sipping a tiny drink of her own -- an artillery punch, of course. So far nobody had spoken to her, but she'd met a lot of surprised looks and the occasional stare, and returned the looks with a practiced, chilly disdain.

Then, to her surprise, someone spoke to her. She'd barely noticed her fellow C*cktail approaching from the side, being enthralled by the crowd. She turned her head slightly, just enough to take him in with one narrowed red eye, then pivoted neatly on her platform heels to face him.

"Do you indeed?" Her tone was arch and almost a little mocking, as if to ask whether he only felt like a fool -- but it lacked the edge that would make it truly insulting. "Ruin. Archly Lept Ruin."

She seemed like, well, a troublesome dame -- the sort of woman who would walk into a PI's office and bring down a host of trouble. She took his hand, making sure her grip was firm and not weak or limp-wristed. "A pleasure, I'm sure. What brings you this way, Stet?"

Being shot down with three words was impressive, but hardly unusual to the male. No, shock would be his to have if someone was receptive - which was probably why the other poisonous femme had such a place in his heart. Stet lifted the tightly gripped hand, pressing an appreciative kiss to the knuckles in a chaste manner. He was thick in the head sometimes, but not stupid enough to press his luck if Ruin was actually going to speak to him. "My pleasure entirely," he assures her with an upward twist of his lips, vibrant red eyes slightly lidded. Well. So much for not pushing his luck.

Releasing her hand, he returned his own to his pocket, straightening and casting another dull glance around the bar. "The staircase, mostly," he admits, "which will lead me out of this joint and somewhere more enjoyable. At least, that's the idea." Shrugging his comfortably square shoulders, Stet felt a brief inkling of challenge. She wasn't interested - clearly - but that didn't mean he couldn't try to get to know the vivacious Ruin a little more. If he was killed in the process, he was going to haunt Vino and Kent forever. "If you're lookin' to get out of this bar and to something more sophisticated, I'd be honored to have your company." If bold flirting didn't work, maybe gentle compliments would. He didn't need Ruin fawning over him - nice as the thought might be - but he could definitely use the company. It was a wee bit lonesome without the other two of his terrible three.
