Aella stood beneath the canopy of the trees as the soft rain fell down. The cool drops tangled into her hair, and dripped down to splash on the ground. She felt refreshed as the breeze blew lightly on this overcast summer day. It was such a relief from the heat. It was not a heat she was used to, so moist rather than the dry heat of her homelands.

Pushing away that thought, she decided not to dwell on thoughts of her people. She could never go back to them, and that broke her heart. She needed to just accept that, but it still brought her pain.

Turning her head, she heard the soft click of something coming.
