 It was fairly pleasant day, and Voreti'Riay was out in a meadow just outside of her territory. A soft breeze blew and sent flowers bobbing. She lowered her nose to gently smell the flowers. For several days after that annoying stallion had flouted her territory, she'd been on edge and watching for other intruders. Now, the mare was relaxing, just slightly. It wasn't constant patrolling the edges anymore. Voreti took a couple nibbles of the tasty stuff. Contentedly she munched and looked up.

 Tapar was grazing near by the mares territory.Her disgusting stench was laid all over it,how could he ever go in there?Flicking his tail he kept grazing.The only reason he would probably ever go into her lands were for apples.He thought maybe she needed a little chill pill.Tapar had watched the mare attack the stallion trying to pass in through her lands.It was quite a funny scene,but she had to share at some point.Snorting softly he flicked his tail once more to get the flies off his back.It was one of those nicer days when the sun was out and no clouds,blue sky.It was beautiful.

Voreti took a couple moments to registar the stallion. She swished her tail. To be friendly, or not? He wasn't within her defined territory, so she felt comfortable enough leaving him be. Pricking her ears up, the black mare trotted over. She'd find out what he was about, then if needed she could chase him off too.
"Hey there. What are you doing?"

Tapar rolled his eyes as the mare traveled over towards him."Grazing peacefully.Doesn't that look like what i'm doing?"He grinned slightly and flicked his tail.He picked up a couple more pieces of grass."Why so twitchy with people in your territory?"Tapar raised his head up to look at the mare.He stared into her golden eyes and his became more serious.

Voreti huffed, another smart a** stallion. "I was simply being polite and starting a nice conversation. Seeing as you'd rather just enjoy your peaceful grazing I'll just leave you alone." She flicked her tail in irritation. Really. Why was she always getting the dense ones?
"I'll protect what's mine from anyone." That should be answer enough. Voreti had no intension of telling this stranger the reason or talk about her past. Deciding it wasn't worth the trouble, the mare turned and started back toward her forest. Grazing slowly as she went along.

"I was too,my words are not ment to be taken in a smart tone."He said turning towards the mare."You may join me,i have no one else here."Tapar agreed on her protecting what was hers,he would himself.Especially if someone tried to tear up his forest if he ever had one."I understand why you would ever be so twitchy about it.Someone trying to steal or tear up my lands,I would be that way myself."He decided not to be rude to this mare,it looked like she had been having a lot of trouble going for her.

The dark mare paused and glanced back over her shoulder at the stallion. Was he being serious or just jesting with her? Sometimes she couldn't stand others, but he seemed to be sincere. Voreti thought perhaps she was being too sensitive and letting anything get under her skin. She gave her shoulder a shrug and tried to relax.
"My applogies." She chewed a couple mouthfuls of grass before looking at him again. "My names Voreti'Riay. What's yours?" It wasn't much, but the mare felt is was a good and neutral place to start.

Tapar smiled as the mare stopped being that dark and angered mare.He was being completely serious,he wasn't going to fight with her."No worries,I don't blame you for being the way you are."Tapar looked up to her and smiled softly."Tapar,it's a pleasure to meet you Vore.Do you mind if I call you Vore?"He turned to grab some more grass."It would be easier for me to remember such a beautiful name."He was such a softy down inside,but most of the time he was this rotten rude stallion that did whatever he wished.

Voreti observed the stallion for a moment. "I guess that's a good thing." She gave a suspicious look at him from the corner of her eye. What was he playing at? Something wrong with her? Maybe her upbringing. She did leave her herd.
She twitched her ear, "no, I don't mind." Her head tossed to move some bangs off her face. She almost scoffed at him when he said her name was beautiful, but held it back. It wouldn't do to start animosity again. Voreti took a moment to graze. She made a happy sound as she came across a sweet patch of clover.
