Hi all! I was browing fanfiction.net the other day, and I've noticed that fanfiction has gotten incredibly popular the past five years or so, so I was wondering...do any of you like/write fanfiction?

I find it nice if a series is over/almost over, there's usually a fan-made story that continues a plot. ^_^

I love fanfiction. ^_^ I've tried to write so many. xD Only three were posted, though... Two were multi-chapter and I just got bored with them, the other was a Bleach oneshot that I am super proud of. ^_^ I do agree, it's gotten very popular, though I've only known about it for... 2 or 3 years.

Fanfiction's awesome. I've written several, but I always lose the nerve to post them. xD But I enjoy reading them on occasion.

Haha I know exactly how you feel. xD It's just... I never finish mine, so I technically can't post them. xP I don't understand how people can update so quickly...

What do you usually write/read fanifictions for? ^_^ Just curious.

Well, lately I've been reading Harry Potter fanfiction, though that's starting to get a bit blah. Is it sad to admit that I like them better than the actual books though? Most of the time I read stuff like star wars, Naruto, some movie ff, old book ff, etc, but I wrote a few things for Supernatural, Transformers, Thunderbirds, The A-Team, and (just once) Ally McBeal. I know though right? Some people are so fast! I was with a couple stories, but mostly i'm really slow.

How about you?

I adore fanfiction, although I must admit I'm kind of picky about the writing. I just can't comprehend someone not using spell check or proofreading. I have a few idea for my own in mind but I don't want to post something and then have fans waiting for me to post again when it could be ages. I's not fair to them you know?

I currently got sucked into beyblade fanfiction but I read anything and everything :3

I write some fanfiction, but then I never really get around to posting them. It's pretty much for the reasons you guys have said already: if I post it, meaning it to be a series, then I'm kind of stuck with it, even if I lose interest in it. I've read a few fanfiction series where the authors have just stopped in the middle of the series and, well, it's a bit unfair.

Harry Potter's how I got started on fanfiction, after I finished book no. 7. But there's just SO much of it out there, I don't think I could write more of it without indirectly copying someone else.

You know how some book series have pretty horrible endings? If I read a book series, I get into it, and then the ending's horribly sad or just horrible, that's usually when I look into fanfiction. Or if a book series just has a definite end, with absolutely no more books coming out. It's very rare I'll be in the middle of the book series and I'll look into fanfiction.

There's a mystery series called Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot. I didn't much like the ending to that series, so I've been looking into fanfiction for that. And there's obviously going to be no more Sherlock Holmes by Doyle anymore, so that as well (though I must admit, most of the Sherlock Holmes fanfiction is Sherlock/Watson, which is okay, but sometimes I just get sick of reading the same pairing over and over, you know?)

V.V But for every good fanfiction, there's at least one that's just aaaaaarghwhy.

The ones I usually read fanfiction for is mostly anime. Bleach, Fruits Basket(sometimes), Soul Eater, Hana Kimi, Ouran High School Host Club, Pandora Hearts, and a few more. Sometimes for books such as Percy Jaskson and the Olympians, Harry Potter, and few others. Sometimes TV or movies. Syfy's Alice, Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, and more. So I switch it up every so often.

I'm actually a big fanfiction dork. ;u; I write Sakura-centric Narufics... I've been a member for four years now. That's right... I liked ff.net BEFORE it got popular, LOL.

I read anything that I want to, really. YuGiOh, Princess Tutu, Oban, Naruto, Crossovers... Most of the time I stay with Sakura, though. I just love her character.

FF's a great place, I think, since you can read how people can turn a character's personality to their own whims, sometimes wonderfully, sometimes horribly. I wish there was a way to sort fics based on review number, than just completion and length.

I have a few multichaptered fics up which mostly I'm rewriting--they were ones from a few years ago that I realized ran off track. My favorite one is a crack!Sakuraharem that is also a rewrite from another fic... But I just like silly situations and off-the-wall humor. c:

Sadly enough, I'm working on an update to a story of mine as I reply to this. ;w;

I have never written fanfaction stories, but I have been in Warriors Cats roleplays and, if any of you oldsters remember Sightlight, a Twilight/The Sight fanfiction roleplay, as well. I've been thinking of creating one here soon... would you guys be into that, possibly?

Well, I'm not a huge fan of Twilight since Bella's just terrible, and I'm not sure what The Sight is. I'd have to see if the plot for The Sight is good enough for me to breeze over it and even out Twilight's bad. (And I'm not unfounded in my opinion to the Twilight saga, since the only book I haven't read was the last one, unlike some Twihaters who just join the movement for no reason.)

I appreciate your non-random-hate of Twilight. Although I am not a superfan of it, I have read the books, and I did enjoy the plot line and such. You've got to hand it to Stephenie Meyer - she knows how to write some damn popular book.
Anyway, I didn't actually mean I was going to have a Sightlight roleplay here - I just meant a fanfiction roleplay.

A fanfiction roleplay? Like a plot crossover, where you insert the characters you want into certain roles?
