((This is an RP for Arc, Kisa, and Sura's group from the RP 'Crystals of Brathmire'))
As soon as the trio entered the cave, a beast attacked.
"Damn Orcs" Kisa said. She shifted her head to the side, dodging an axe blow before she roundhouse kicked the Orc backwards. She was fast and strong but more kept gaining on her. Kisa backhanded one of them, but their teeth scraped her hand.
Arc cast his first cure spell on Kisa. It felt good, he felt useful. He looked at Sura out of the corner of his eye, sighing in relief when he realized he was okay.
Kisa disarmed one of the Orcs and decapitated it with its own axe. She let out a battle cry, hacking and slashing her way deeper into the cave.

Sura was smiling as everything happened around him. He studied the monsters that attacked, Kisa in her element, and even Arc with his simple healing spells. He was a scholar before a Time Mage, and he found all of this to be quite exciting, and it showed. When everything was beginning to be too much for him, he threw his hands in the air and watched as numerous monsters before him rose into the air. They couldn't get down, nor could they move at all.
He laughed quite loudly and paused for a moment as some of the monsters near their floating companions paused and watched their friends with puzzeled looks, if you could identify expressions of the beasts. With a glance Sura noticed he was falling behind and rushed back to his own companions with his even brighter excited smile.

"Her power...her power gives voice to the voiceless, and strength to the strengthless" an Orc cried out. His voice sounded raspy and a bit unclear.
Kisa's jaw dropped. "That isn't possible! Orcs are primitive creatures...you guys have no language!" She punched an Orc in the face.
"With the Red One, anything is possible. You think you'd get a break from her glorifying presence? Well, you were wrong!"
Kisa gulped. "I don't know how or why, but my dear daughter is possessing these Orcs!" Kisa swung her axe like a boomerang and decapitated three Orcs in a row. The axe ricocheted off the wall and flew back in Kisa's hand.
Arc thought for a moment as he levivated, allowing two Orcs to crash into one another. It just wasn't possible, Scarlet was too drained to use magic after that big fight. She couldn't be THAT strong, it just goes against nature...anybody that powerful, their own strength would collapse unto itself and swallow that person whole. Arc tried to rack his brain onto how this was happening.

Sura simply tried to remain out of the range of attack, keeping close to Kisa, yet staying out of her way also. When the Orc began to speak his mouth opened as if to speak, but didn't. ~So she must know how to control the crystals. If she gets all of them, who knows...~ With a wave of his hand he watched as a couple of the orcs considerably slowed down with a faint indigo glow. "Does anybody else find this annoying?" He spoke loudly enough to be heard over the cries of devastation Kisa was causing.
(Holy crud, I'm gone for one night and the RP forum is flooded ^.^)

"I don't think know if Scarlet is the one that's doing this" Kisa said as if she could read everybody else's mind. "Well, not exactly...I-I don't know." She kept fighting the Orcs.
Kisa noticed Arc start to change. He looked more confident, which would normally be a good thing, but he looked almost...too confident. He stepped forward and slapped the Orc on the face. "Now be a good boy for our guests."
Kisa just stood there with a dumb look on her face. Time seemed to pause for a few seconds, and the next thing she knew, Arc punched her in the face and she went flying to the other end of the cave.
"Surprise surprise" Arc/Scarlet said. She looked down at Arc's hands. "This is incredible! I'm in two places at once. I'm two people! I think you should call me...Arclet. yes, I like that name. Kya ha ha ha ha."
Kisa was finally beginning to understand. "During the fight...Arc was too close to you. Your magical energies rubbed off him and...and you infected him or something." Kisa's eyes opened wide in terror. "Get out his body" she shrieked.
"Make me" Arclet said. With just one hand, she grabbed Kisa by the throat and lifted her up. She looked at Sura while holding up her mother. "Don't cry dearie, your boyfriend wasn't worthy enough for his body anyway." She squeezed Kisa's neck tighter. She was going to kill her unless Sura did something.

Arclet was about to kill Kisa, but then thought of something. It would be better to have them lead her to the crystals by pretending to be one of the good guys.
Arclet let go of Kisa and she dropped herself to the ground. She got up and pretended like nothing happened. "G-guys what happened?" Arclet said? She tried to think of Arc's mannerisms when they first encountered. She nervously looked around.
"Arc, are you okay?" Kisa asked, rubbing her neck.
"Yeah, I guess. I-I felt like I died for a few minutes." He went over and gave Sura a hug, while smiling evilly over his shoulder. Of course, they couldn't see that.

With a sigh of relief he let go of all the magical energy he was collecting and embraced Arc back. "Thank the gods that you're alright." Sura whispered into his ear, and he hugged him tighter for a moment and then broke away. "Are you alright. We lost you for a little bit, but my guess is that Scarlet's magic must have dried up... I didn't think it could last forever, so that didn't worry me, butwhat you were going to do." He moved from Arc, already knowing he was okay and made his way towards Kisa. The magical energy he had collected was forced into a stop spell on all the remaining orcs that watched what had happened, so he had no fear of them.
He kneeled down by Kisa who was slumped up against the wall. "Are you alright?" He looked over to Arc and motioned for him to come over. "Can you heal her, I'm guessing Scarlet wasn't using any petty attacks. I mean that hag is one nasty witch." He disregarded the fact that Scarlet was Kisa's daughter, earlier accounts considered.

"Heal her? Oh, right. Of course I can..." Arclet nervously walked over to Kisa. She put her hand on her neck and concentrated, but nothing came out. Great, I can't blow my cover THIS soon she thought.
Then, she remembered that Arc was only a potential White Mage. Then she saw what he was wearing and noticed the material from magic school. Yes, she was channeling the power in the wrong place. The power to heal came from the clothes, not Arc himself. Finally, a white light appeared out of her hand and she healed Kisa.
"Sorry it took so long" Arclet said shyly. "I guess I'm still woozy from the mojo?" She bit his lip and looked around. "Can you kill those Orcs, Kisa?"
"Don't mind if I do" Kisa said, her eyes locked on the bad guys. She started decapitating them one by one with her axe. Since they were under Sura's spell, they could do nothing but die.
They were almost out of the cave. She took Sura's hand and locked it with hers while they walked through the semi-darkness. Homosexuality grossed her out as she was a bit of a homophobe. She hated doing this, but anything for those crystals. Anything.

With a he approved that Arc would be alright, just not himself for awhile. His hand held Arc's firmly and he looked over to Kisa. "So... I'm not sure if it's my place to ask, but what went wrong? I mean with Scarlet, why is she so cruel?" He doubted she had learned it from her mother, considering while her mother may be a simple warrior, hack now and consider later, she wasn't mean. "Why is she doing all of this?"
He looked before him as sunlight hit their faces, and his lost smile returned to him and he began tugging on Arc's hand. He would hear Kisa's answer when she caught up, but for now he wanted to leave the darkness of the cave and breath some fresh air.

"I tried to abort her. Well, I DID abort her. The Scarlet in this dimension is nothing but a dead fetus. But you see, abortions were against the Wizard's morals and they made an alternate reality version of me in which I carried my pregnancy to term. Eventually, Scarlet found out she wasn't wanted in the real world, and it drove her insane. She destroyed that dimension when she was just thirteen years old and then came into this one. I'm afraid...I'm afraid she's beyond hope, but I don't want to think that."
Kisa looked out, she could see Tharkadaia from where they were but it was nothing more than a small dot. "Scarlet has already succeeed in destroying one world. If she destroys this one too well..." Kisa had no idea Scarlet wanted to rule the world, not end it. "This is the base world, right here. Get rid of this one and well, it's game over for everybody."
There was silence for about a mile. "You know, if I could have kids I would. I just wasn't ready yet. Scarlet doesn't understand that. But she is my daughter now whether I like it or not and I have no choice but to love her."
"Sounds like an excuse" Arclet said. "Of course, you could very well have children. I mean, you sure as hell could spread your le..." She stopped herself. "I"m sorry, it's just the White Mage Elders are against abortion, you know? I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking."
Kisa shook her head. "It's quite alright. I know that Berserkers are pretty much alone in their thinking. Well, the Alchemists agree with us but we don't necessarily want them to."
"Well, you never started out as a Berserker, did you?" Arclet asked. "You said it yourself...you were raised as a mage." Must she always go against nature all the time? Arclet thought. Stupid, unnatural b***h. She felt like killing her own mom right here but managed to keep her eyes on the bigger picture.

With a faint smile he continued to look before them at the setting sun. "I don't think you did anything wrong Kisa... You were afraid, and fear is something everyone feels, but not so many people come to embrace and then detach from." He paused for a moment, just from thought. "My parents almost had an abortion with my sister because my mother was only thirty-nine, and where I come from that wasn't that old." He chuckled. "I mean, I'm twenty-nine, though I don't look it... But my parents kept Sokoya and decided that what others thought and did was their business, and it was the same with them. They detached themselves from the fear of what life would be like with a child while being so young, and they were happy." He turned to Arc and Kisa his smile brightening. "If you would have kept Scarlet, the end result would be different and things could be worse. There could have been an even more powerful being after the crystals, and then we'd all be dead."

Fools, Scarlet thought. They have no idea the dimension I was brought into had some weird side effects the Wizards didn't take into account. I would have probably been much better off born in this world. Of course nothing is guaranteed and Sura could be right as well. Kya ha ha ha ha.
Kisa smiled at Sura, her dirty face surprisingly brightening up. It was like a ray of sunlight finally got in there and for the first time you could actually make out a human face. Kisa's real face, from when she was a child and not burdened with the guilt of having the world's most evil daughter. Even though Scarlet was born in another world, she still had Kisa's blood. Still shared her DNA. She still was her daughter. "Thank you, Sura. Your support means a lot to me."
She looked up to the heavens while they continued to walk. "This world you know...it's so harsh. I can't believe I'm saying this but I think the only way I'll ever get peace is if I kill my own daughter. Does that make me a bad person?" Kisa looked at Sura and "Arc" for support.
Why yes, why yes it does Arclet thought. "Of course not" she said out loud.

Kisa thought about that. "There's ancient tomes in Tharkadaia about how to ressurect an old airship known as 'Survivor.' If we can use that airship well, we'll cover a lot more ground and be able to find our allies very quickly. The airship has state-of-the-art technlogy that should be able to pinpoint anybody's location in the world. Scarlet won't stand a chance once we regroup and have a good battle plan this time around."
"Um, I think that's a waste of time honestly. I-uh..." Arclet looked down, trying to come off as shy. "Getting an airship would take too long, we should just ignore that and go straight to the next crystal before Scarlet can get her paws on it. The others should be able to take care of themselves, right?"
Kisa gave Arc a face. "What's with you, Arc? It's not like you to suggest that we just give up on our teammates. Remember, you were the one that was so gung ho about saving Kyran."
"Oh I was? I mean...oh, I was." Arclet looked nervous now.
Kisa raised an eyebrow. "Arc? Are you okay?"
"Yes, of course. I mean, it's just a lot has changed since we first started adventuring you know? If I wouldn't have tried to rescue Kyran, Scarlet probably wouldn't have separated our party. We might still have a chance, if Kyran was sacrificed. I'm just growing up ya know? Not the same naive kid I was..." She looked at Sura and Kisa, hoping they would buy that. "The world doesn't have the same black and white morals I once thought. I wanted to have everything and save everyone, now I see that everything doesn't always go my way. We all might have to die to save Scarlet and the world, and it pains me to say that but it needs to be said. It's the adult thing to do."
Kisa shook her head. Something still felt off about him. "Uh, I guess..." She shared a look with Sura.
