Who would win out of the daleks or the cybermen?
If the two were set against each other on a random planet somewhere without any interferance from anything else. Just a fight to the death between the two.
Who would win and why?

the daleks because they're more tecnologicaly advavanced than the cybermen, by the way I recently read that the last story of the new series(Army of ghosts/Doomsday)will feature both the cybermen and the daleks!!!!!!!

I think the Daleks will be in the last episode, but the focus will be on the Cybermen mainly. Still, Im so excited about this! The Daleks and Cybermen have never been seen to fight on screen before! (I think they missed a perfect opportunity in the Five Doctors, but still, with the special effects we have nowadays, the war will look superb!!)

The group of Daleks stranded on some nameless planet would easily wipe out a similar-sized group of Cybermen. A Dalek is basically a blobby creature in a miniature tank; I don't think the Cybermen's weapons would be able to penetrate that armor and force field.
Of course both the Cybermen and Dalek looked rather pathetic in The Five Doctors. The former pathetically sliced up like sashimi by that Raston warrior robot, and the latter killing itself after being pushed around by an old geezer and his middle-aged granddaughter! rolleyes

I like the Cybermen!! It's just that in the 80s they were rather poorly realised. I'd love to see the Raston Robot return though!!

I'd love to see the Raston Robot return though!! well your dreams have come true, the cybermens makeover is just like the seventies cyberman and apparently the voice is going to be a cross between the 80s voice and the 70s voice, oh happy days *starts to dance*

Ive seen the new look Cybermen, and like their faces, but their bodies look a bit too robotic. I would have liked to have seen little features that show they used to be human. Still, they look good enough! Like the sound of their voices too! But when you say 70s and 80s, do you mean 70s as in Revenge of the Cybermen, as that was the only 70s Cyberman story. Most of the Cybermen stories were during the Patrick Troughton era during the 60s.

I think the Daleks would win, if they wiped out the Timelords (or woteva happened with Gallifrey in the new series... I still don't quite understand...) but I love the Cybermen. I think maybe it would be a close thing. They gave the Daleks all these new powers in the new series, maybe the Cybermen will have the same.
Also I think the Cybermats might give the Cybermen the edge cos the Daleks wouldn't be able to look down far enough to see them.
