Prisca prowled around her bedroom, going from one side of the bed to the other. At times she would stop, bite her lip, than continue the pacing. Back and forth. Picking up little things from her dresser or side table or floor. She had left in a haste the minute she had managed to secure a long enough holiday to make the trip from one region to the other. A few of her clothes still lay on the floor where she had changed. A random white bra had earlier been kicked under the bed, only to be taken out a few minutes later and tossed into the laundry hamper near the bathroom door. As emotional as she felt, she couldn't bare to keep an untidy house.

And she did feel many emotions at that moment. On one hand, she was relieved. The trip had gone well. She did what she had to do and came back with what she had left to get. On the other, she was curious and wanted to go back. She had stood in Kanto's history briefly. Not having any time to really get a good look at the place. The scholar in her yearned to leave the house and take to the skies, again, with that place in mind. But there was work to think about. She would be going back soon. Least important in her mind, currently. The main thing keeping her from dashing away was her dislike to feel that void, again, she had been the past few months. That comfortable presence was back in her mind. It warmed her. And made her bite her lip more.

She passed her dresser and stopped, turning her head to look at the bust of a Mewtwo sitting on the surface. It still looked so empty. So sad. A blue stoned necklace lay around the Pokemon's neck, but it just didn't belong there. Not like the previous ornament had. Prisca hadn't been able to locate it. She assumed it was now either broken to pieces or swept so far out to sea, only a Lugia would find it, slumbering at the bottom of the deepest part of the ocean.

Maybe she should have had her name and address engraved on the back for safe keeping.

Sighing, the woman crossed the room for the hundredth time, picking up the plushie of the Mewtwo off her bed. Holding it with one hand, she glared at it.

"Why must you always be stitched or drawn or sculpted with angry eyes?"

Xero felt odd standing there under the shower of someone else's cleansing room. The water was refreshing, much more so than the fast running streams he had normally cleaned in before. This also smelled, different. The fragrance of the soap and shampoo he was given, after being told of the difference between lady and gentleman soaps and hair care products, smelled bold. Definitely not like the other soaps he could smell from across the large-ish room.

Another thing that he was quickly coming to realize was just how difficult such long hair could be. With the aid of his powers, he never though he'd use them for such a task, he undid the tangles from his months of neglect. Cleaning it was no simple task either. It seemed like hours that he worked to be sure every bit of it was cleaned.

But for all the trouble he did feel a good deal better when it was all done with. It was as if the dirt and grime had been weighing him down and now that it was washed away he could walk again. He let the water run over him a little while longer before shutting it off and beginning the long process of drying off...

Next step, shaving. It wasn't something that he had done before. The 'fur' on his lip and chin seemed to have grown wild since his time being in this form. He looked at himself in the half fogged mirror. It wasn't a bad look, for one it made him look older. Strange how fur could do that. Xero picked up the blade and examined it closely. The process wasn't that hard to figure out and Xero had grown to like the facial fur. He only removed enough so that it looked clean and held most of the look.

From there it was getting dressed, something familiar. He moved from the mirror to the neatly folded pile of clothing sitting on the toilet cover. Ms. Prisca had gone through a lot of trouble for him and he was still uncertain as to why. She followed him to Kanto, found the hidden ruin... Xero was unsure of how to make it up to her. Just returning didn't seem to even half cover it. Though he still had his doubts about coming back. He drew a deep breath. It was what it was, for now.

The cloths were a nice fit, Xero choose to leave the vest off and just stick with the plain white long sleeve, with the sleeve rolled up past his elbows. The pants were about the same as his old ones, only not so faded from the constant wash in the stream and being left in the sun to dry. To complete the simple outfit Xero wrapped the red cloth around his wrist, as it had always been. He looked at it a moment. It was odd to think his own illusion had told him what it meant, given it to him, he would not thought his own mind capable of coming up with such things. Still, it was a good reminder and now seemed to carry another meaning.

Once everything was in order and Xero was sure he was decent he carefully opened the door to the wash room. Be paused in the door and looked around the room for any sign of Prisca. His still fluffed, from the drying, tail swayed about nervously behind him in small motions. He felt a little out of place standing in the door frame. Mostly due to his long time away from the luxuries of a nice home. Decent when compared to his actual dwelling place within this city.

His eyes would have been met with an empty room if it were the bedroom door, the plushie on the bed back in its usually spot between the two stacks of pillows. It was large, about the size of a pillow itself, with the common expression of all Mewtwo on its face. Had the owner been a sewer, she would have changed it. But she didn't want to ruin it by doing anything with it. The previous treatment of it hadn't been without a good reason. She was annoyed with the fact all Mewtwo were done like that. Her own face had been softer, the eyes a little wider. Likely a product of the female DNA giving her a more feminine appearance. As a young Mewtwo, she'd spent a good deal of time looking at herself in the mirror. Interested in the differences between her and the original plans.

When she'd changed she'd done the same thing for many hours.

At the sound of the opening door, Prisca tensed. It wasn't an instinctive reflex based on the last two circumstances she'd seen Xero, where he'd attempt to attack her a few times. She felt nervous about having him there. For all her confidence....She was nervous. Ever since that first day in Kanto, she'd been fidgety.

Dropping the butter knife onto the kitchen counter where she'd been frosting cupcakes just to keep busy, Prisca moved to the bedroom area of the house. Taking one deep breath before reaching the rounded corner, she placed one hand on it and came into view.

Her eyes fell first on something purple she hadn't noticed before.

"Your tail is....Fluffy."

Xero studied the mewtwo doll closely. It was hard to think such items were inspired by something with such a savage past. Human -were- very strange indeed. Though, they still kept the angry features that reflected the none to pleasant legends about him. If only they had known Ms. Prisca first, perhaps they would have a kinder face.

He looked from the doll to the furnishings than back at the doll before Prisca appeared in the doorway. His tail flicked in a short motion when it was mentioned and described as is. Xero looked behind him at his puffed tail than back at Prisca. True, he wasn't of the same texture as her's was. A wonder.

"I think your soap has made it lighter..." He looked back at the tail again. It felt better now that it was clean. His focus returned to Prisca. "Thank you Ms. Prisca, for saving me." He was unsure if that was the right word to use, but he did well to hide the doubt in his voice and expression.

The woman's own tail rose from the floor like a snake to curl around her upper body without touching her. She laid her hand on it. It felt more like skin. Like it always had. Though she'd touched his tail once before, the softness of it hadn't registered in her mind. She thought it was just the dirt. It seemed that wasn't the only reason for it feeling different.

Blinking a few times, Prisca took her eyes off Xero's tail to travel to his face. For the first time in her short life, the Mewtwo woman found herself overcome by a small wave of nerves at the sight of his clean face. It felt so long since she'd laid her eyes on him. He didn't look quite the same as before. If anything, he looked....Much better. Older. Like a few middle aged men she'd seen. Those that only grew more handsome with age.

Handsome. Yes, that was a good word. Was she really so cold towards most men that she failed to notice such obvious traits under her very nose.

With a start, Prisca realized she'd been staring at the other Mewtwo. She was holding her tail with both hands, instinctively grabbing whatever was presented in front of her. Dropping it to the ground and blushing a little at the unladylike behavior, she turned her gaze away from the man, crossing her arms behind her back. Her purple eyes came to rest momentarily on the plushie on the bed.

What had he just said....?

"Oh...Yes. Yo-you're welcome." The stammer irritated her. She bit her lip to get her composure. Foolish woman. This isn't your first meeting. Stop acting like a ninny. Shifting her gaze back to Xero, she forced a small smile through the embarrassment. That she hoped was overlooked. "Do you feel better? I imagine two months wouldn't leave anyone feeling very comfortable."

Xero shifted a little as Prisca remained quiet and continued to stare at him. Had something been wrong? Perhaps he used the wrong soap and it did something unnatural to his tail. Or his face? Was the fur supposed to be there?

A brow quirked when Prisca began to speak again, this time stammering. It must have been a bad mistake for her to trip over her words.

"I feel much better-" he thought so anyways. Aside the unknowing of what he had done wrong."-it was not something new to me. I have lived like that before... though I had a different body than." His tail twitched. Slightly different. He seemed to have kept more of his pokemon self than anyone else, save for the archanine.

"Are you alright?" He asked after a short pause. "Did you rest enough after your trip?"

"Not quite the same with a human body," Prisca observed, the nervousness slowly evaporating. The embarrassment, however, lingered on. Much to her annoyance. He was looking at her strangely. Thus he had noticed her strange behavior. She bit her lip for a moment before continuing, this time unlocking her arms to smooth down the knee high skirt of her dress. Her purple eyes flicked towards the plushie on the bed, watching them. With the expression on the face, it appeared like it was angry with their interaction. Judging by the purpose of Mewtwo, angry at they're not fighting.

There was a small part of her-very, very small-that wanted to do what would make the plushie happy. So small, she barely felt it. Not unless she concentrated on the thought, as she was now. It had been a while since she let the powers do their thing. She guessed it was time to take a trip to the basement soon and get those urges out.

"Rest?" she repeated, eyes still fixed on the Pokemon toy. She couldn't manage to rest. All the time she'd been waiting for him, she'd been actively moving around the house. Cleaning her room. Cleaning the living room. Cleaning the kitchen. And, just recently, making the cupcakes. She didn't even want cupcakes. It was the first recipe she pulled from her box. "I'm...Fine. As fine as can be." Maybe she did need to rest. Maybe all this tripping over her own words was due to not getting enough. She never stammered.

Sighing, she forced her eyes to focus back on the man.

"I'll be fine, at any rate. Don't worry about me. Why do you ask?"
PostPosted: Wed Jul 20, 2011 5:40 pm

Xero raised a brow in a subtle disbelief of her claim to being alright. It only lowered when she corrected herself. He looked at the doll again half expecting it to be doing something displeasing enough to cause this strange behavior from Prisca. The tip of his tail flicked when his focus returned.

"I do worry-" He cut himself off before finishing the sentence. It had to have been a human thing, and perhaps it was wrong? To a mewtwo at least. A pokemon that could certainly handle itself on its own. Xero personally did not like having anyone worry over him. Or so he convinced himself. "-is that not acceptable?"

The worst part about his inquiry was he was most sincere. The second worst part about his question was he realized it to be a silly question only after the words left his lips. He cleared his throat hoping it would be a subtle enough distraction. "It was a long trip."

Xero couldn't help but side glance at the doll on the bed. It seemed to be mocking him now....

Eyes widening slightly, Prisca raised her arms in mental defense of her words. "Of course it is," she responded, shaking her head to go along with the raised hands. "Acceptable, that is. You are allowed to feel how you want."

Feel. That brought up some unwanted feelings in herself. It wasn't the time for that. She prayed it would never soon be the time for that. that wasn't an area of life she wanted to tread down. Or even allow to be acknowledged. 'Specially not if it left her feeling like a fool in front of her only friend.

Taking a deep breath, the woman lowered her arms to clasp her hands in front of her dress. Her usual way of standing. She was master of her own emotions!

"I can rest later." As much as her body wanted to rest, now, she doubted she'd be able to. Maybe after Xero left, she could get some sleep. She never slept much over in Kanto. Without her purse, she lacked money to stay anywhere she was used to. And who would accept the company of a Mewtwo, human bodied or not? Thus she couldn't just ask a random stranger to let her stay for the night. She was about ready to drop as it was. The bed was inviting...

"Unless you're so set on making me sleep, maybe we should...Leave my room." The smile she gave was slightly embarrassed. Arceus knew what was hiding under her bed or around the corner. Had she picked up all the underwear? "Thank you for worrying, though. I appreciate it."

Even if Xero had seen any bit of undergarments he wouldn't have been able to tell what it was at a first glance. Luckily for Prisca he was not used to seeing such clothing nor put any thought into it.

He also didn't put up the usual argument of 'for the greater of your heath'. AT this point he had very little room to argue any such matters, especially after the way he had subjected himself to living for the past two months. Instead he gave a nod and waited for her to lead the way. He was unfamiliar with this house and felt it improper to lead himself through it. Perhaps a strange human sense.

"You are most welcome." He did well to hide the unsureness in his voice. It didn't seem like much in his eyes, to be thanked for caring. Though he hardly realized how much he appreciated it himself. It was nice to have someone genuinely care without wanting something in return.

The woman hadn't exactly been expecting him to lead the way out of her own room. It seemed she had forgotten for a moment that it was more polite for her to go first. Or forgotten her legs worked. Either was likely. Though the second was more certain.

Biting her lip when her cheeks got a little hot, Prisca made a little "Mhm" noise in her throat before turning towards the open doorway to enter the small hall.

It wasn't a very large house. They were downstairs. A small hallway separated her bedroom from the bathroom. The rest of the house was an open, combined living room, dining room, and kitchen. A huge space that no one would be able to get lost in. Even upstairs, which was just a hallway and three rooms. That was where she kept the spare bathroom. Her work room with all her tools for making jewelery. And a private library complete with a television for viewing things like documentaries.

Rounding the corner, the woman's eyes fell upon the stack of cupcakes on the cupboard. The blush fell away quickly as she focused on them. She still didn't want them. She could give them to the girls at work, or...

Stopping besides the couch, she looked over a bare shoulder at Xero with her usual smile on her face. "Hungry?"
PostPosted: Tue Jul 26, 2011 4:44 pm

Xero followed at the 'appropriate' distance behind Prisca of a few feet. He couldn't help but notice her cheeks flush a slight different color, or thought he saw it. Perhaps the whole traveling excursion made her sick? Xero felt a small knot form in his stomach. Such lengths and for what? A stubborn old pokemon who had acted rashly.

His tail drooped a little as he lost himself in thought. He would have to make this up to her. He already felt as if he owed her a great deal for taking care of him before. And that box she had, it got destroyed in their tussle, Xero would have to get her a new box at some point as well... that wasn't all.. her locket. He was responsible for the loss of that precious item as well. How could one replace such a priceless item?

Thankfully his thoughts were abruptly cut off by Prisca question. "I am." Xero spoke a little absently.

He couldn't help but admire her smile. So much and she was able to convoy such an emotion.

The smile on her face dropped more than his tail did. And it was his tail that caused the happy expression to vanish just as suddenly as it had appeared. Prisca had come to be able to read certain emotions by the position of his tail. A task that hadn't proved to be very difficult to do. Lots of species communicated with each other in an unspoken language of the body. The lowering of the tail was no different than another creature would do. Something was now bothering him. And she hoped it hadn't anything to do with the silly way she was acting. Or, trying not to act.

For a moment, she ignored it. Turning around to walk fully into the kitchen, passing under the barrier on the ceiling that was the leftover remains of a wall, the woman placed the tips of her fingers on the table and turned her head just enough to look at the man from the corner of her eye.

"Well, I'm not sure what to give you. Or what you'd like. Aside from soup, grilled cheese, and cookies." Moving her eyes to the fridge, she reached out to grab the handle and pull it open to have a glance inside. It was all her usual food. The two months of secret loneliness and stress hadn't changed the way her cupboards and fridge looked. Closing it, she turned her head back around. "You are free to poke around until you find something. I don't mind cooking something for you."

A small smile was forced on Prisca's face. It disappeared seconds later. Xero's droopy mood had more of an affect on her than it ever did before.

Clasping her hands in her usual manner, the woman turned to face her guest. "Something wrong? You look preoccupied."
PostPosted: Thu Jul 28, 2011 2:00 pm

It was like an avalanche of drooping expression. Seeing her smile vanish as suddenly as it had appeared caused his tail to droop yet again. Perhaps there was still some lingering negative feelings, or she was reminded of that invaluable trinket that she had lost in their fight.

He stopped following her after she had crossed the living room and kitchen boarder into the kitchen. For a moment he tried to think of what could possibly be bringing her mood down, quite unaware that his own deep thoughts were responsible. Xero owed her enough to a very least put that beautiful smile back on her face.

"hmn?" He hummed quietly as he was pulled out of thought once again. Not thinking of what he would like to eat, but a way to fix a little of the damage. He did catch her offer, but it was her second question that was addressed first ( as he had no answer for her first statement. )

"I-" For some reason, perhaps there was some force holding it back, he could not come to tell her that he felt responsible for her great deal of loss over the past two months. But he also couldn't lie. "-am tired. Lost in thought I suppose."

Not at all a lie and not bringing the truth right out. Such a strange human emotion!

"My apologies if it is bothering you."

Xero wasn't the only one unable to lie. Prisca bit back a quick "Yes." As much as she didn't even want to stretch the truth a little, she certainly didn't want to upset him more than he already looked.

Still biting her bottom lip, the Mewtwo woman moved away from the fridge and went to stand in front of her guest. Staying on the ground, she kept a foot's space between them, her head bent to look up. Even without her heels, she was a tall woman. The same could be said for Xero. Human males were taller than females, but for a man, he was tall. It didn't appear like he'd shrunk at all when going from one body to the next. While she had. By about seven inches.

"I would very much love it if you told me what's on your mind," she told him softly, nearly a whisper. Her hands were folded behind her back, out of the way. Being this close, she didn't trust herself not to fling her arms around his neck in a spontaneous hug. "It is bothering me. I want to know. Perhaps I could help or ease your mind."
