Go. You will know which weapon to find when you go.

Cassandra felt like she was descending slowly into Castle Brennenburg, running one hand along a wall as she descended into the near darkness. She paused at the mouth of the room, heart clenching in her chest. This room was suspicious to her and there was a part of her that actually expected to hear a 'RAH' noise and for something to walk out of the darkness towards her.

s**t. Her sanity meter was going down!! Out of the habit of a horror gamer, Cass crossed to stand by the single torch in the room, simply thinking 'WATCH FIRE, GET BALLS BACK, WATCH FIRE, GET BALLS BACK'. Then there was a pause. Wait..

Why would there be monsters here? Her lips tightened a bit as she took a deep breath, then looked around the room, squinting into the darkness. This room was ...strange. The walls seemed to glow in a series of small markings and as Cass approached, she noticed that the wall was...not actually a wall.

Part of her wanted to pull the strange objects off of the wall and see if there was a space she could step through into, but the first one she touched hummed and there was a noise that made her think DO NOT TOUCH ME, WOMAN SCUM. Her hand immediately retracted and she stared at it in shock, before huffing.

"WELL. You're pleasant." she said, lips tightening, her hand running to another tablet curiously. That first sensation had been.. strange and unfortunately, like a cat, Cass was a glutton for punishment. The second tablet said nothing and withdrew from her, the third...
....
.....

Cassandra's face turned a bright pink and she fidgeted with her shirt. THAT had been uncalled for!!

Were these the weapons? She looked over each tablet, walking further and further into the darkness until she was pressed up against the wall, looking at each mark. They hummed, buzzed, but they all seemed cold to her touch.

Once she as far away from the torch as she could be while still being inside of the room, a sound like rattling chains caught her attention. Was there... were there chains in here? She looked around.

"Dammit...it's dark in here..." she grumbled, trying to find the source of the rattling chain, but nearly running into something instead. She recoiled away from it with a few careful steps. "I can't see a thing.." Cass grumbled. One of the tablets behind her seemed to take her plight in stride, the surface of it lighting up to barely illuminate the space around her.

"Tha-..is someone else in here?" she turned, a puzzled look on her face. All there was was a tablet. It's surface glowed brightly for a moment, then dimmed. Cass approached it cautiously, head lowered a bit. "....anddd...now it's dark aga- AHH!" she recoiled from it again as the surface lit up, again at her complaint about the dark.

There was a long pause.

A long pause.

"....Hello...?" Cass reached out towards the tablet and it dimmed before she touched it. She retracted her hand again and it seemed to be turning into a stare down.

Stop wasting my time....

She froze, staring, before looking around the room paranoidly. Oh god, it was starting to talk at her! Cass shivered a bit.

"..... Do I need to get medication, because I'm hearing voices..." she whispered.

Stop wasting my time. I am right...here" The tablet's glow flared again and Cassandra shrieked. MAGIC TALKING TABLET THING, THIS WAS NEW. THIS WAS NEW. She'd been in creepy places before, but not creepy places that whispered her name and LIT UP LIKE A LANTERN.

WHAT THE HELL.

WHAT THE ******** HELL.

Cass looked from side to side, before taking a deep breath. They said she would know, and if this wasn't knowing. Nothing was. She reached out, pressing her fingers against the surface of the tablet. A wave of relief and frustration flooded through her head.

There you go. It took you long enough. Cass froze again, eyes wide in shock. IT TALKED. s**t SHITSHITSHIT...

....
.....
......

THIS WAS SO COOL

She took a moment to run her fingers across the rune on the front of it...she recognized this. She recognized the shape it made. She recognized it. Cass grabbed the tablet and pulled it off of the wall as carefully as she could, as though fearing that she would break it.

It seemed to shatter in her hands, the glow seeming to blind her as the tablet faded away and a familiar weight settled into both of her hands. She clenched her fingers around it, sifting the weight of the gun in one hand, the gunblade in the other. Familiar, familiar.

"I remember you...." she said with a hushed whisper.

Good.....

Cass's lips tightened.

"But...who are you? I'm..uhhh.....Cass. Cassandra Norris....." she felt really dumb talking to the inanimate object, crinkling her nose a bit as she walked out of the shadows and back towards the torchlight to take a better look at it.

I am Nicodemus.... the voice answered.

The mist hunter stared in shock. She really had no idea what had just happened.
