Post By The Space Cauldron Are they ready?Marthozite's voice softly echoed in Tanzanite's mind, catching the Youma Queen off guard. Her body tensed. Somehow, he was the only person left who seemed able to catch her by surprise. The spines at her shoulder laid flat in annoyance, claws digging hard into the smooth stone surface. “They have seen enough to handle it,” she murmured, clearly distracted. There was no time for idle chit-chat with a dead man. She focused instead on the dark, reflective surface. Within it, her monstrous visage stared balefully back at her. Her fingertips paused on her own cheek, rough scales reflected in smooth, mirror-like stone. Tanzanite had until then studiously avoided looking at those seemingly inescapable reflections. She had, understandably, avoided mirrors. Seriously, <********> mirrors. Marthozite's deep laughter was mocking, as though he was withholding some particularly entertaining joke. I wasn't talking about Beryl's servants. I was talking about yours.Tanzanite snorted lightly at the severe assumption. Was that his joke, then? If so, he would get only that mild courtesy laugh. She had no time for petty squabbles of power and territory. Every day the senshi grew stronger, and with the sudden resurgence of the Knights? There were more important things to worry about. Besides, referring to any Negaverser as a servant to anyone or anything but Earth itself set her teeth on edge. Their purpose was far greater than their defunct Queen and her petty crush. “They will tolerate it, as long as they pay the proper respect. The ones worthwhile will know by now to do so. The ones that aren't...” Tanzanite's voice trailed off, and her shoulders rolled in a gentle shrug. There were some among the Negaverse who she was still able to feel something for. There were also those she wasn't, and it had never been much of a secret that she would take the lives of one group to preserve those in the other. And Queen Beryl? the voice sounded... amused. Expectant. It was a question asked as a teacher might ask for the capital of a city or the answer to a simple equation. Tanzanite had been educated in the answer, trained in her quickly given response. Claws tapped upon the stone, scraping lightly across the surface as though searching for something. Her brow was furrowed, as though the voice was an unwelcome distraction. “This is none of her concern,” Tanzanite murmured, eyes still searching the wall. Confusion crossed her features, as though something was not where it should have been. She searched left, then right. It should have been right there! Do they know?“Would you shut up,” she snarled, her annoyance doubled. Where was it?! She had been shown the way, knew it from memories that belonged to a creature that existed a thousand years ago. Tanzanite closed her eyes, and flattened her human hand against the cold stone. Do they-“I swear I will find a way to kill you again if you do not shut the ******** up, sir.” Relaaaaaax, the voice chuckled, and had he still had a body, Tanzanite was sure he would have been lacing his fingers behind his head and leaning back casually. The voice fell quiet, and Tanzanite refocused on the task at hand. She reached out with her power, that peculiar energy signature that belonged specifically to the youma. It rippled across the stone, a minute wave of power that made the rock shiver. A pebble tossed into a pond, disturbing something beneath that had not been awake in a millennia. “Ah!” she exclaimed as something resonated, her body giving an involuntary shudder as something deep within the stone vibrated on that strange, dark frequency. Suddenly, those grey eyes were wide, a smile on her face that revealing sharpened molars. It was a rare expression, a genuine joy that filled the woman from the spikes of her feet to the claws of her wings. The Black Phoenix spread its clipped wings in excitement, and threw a shadow against the wall that did not quite match the body from which it came. “ It's here,” she whispered, her tone touched by a hint of awe. The thrill was short lived as that resonance grew, drawing her attention as the stone cracked outwards from the palm of her hand. What had been only the smallest of vibration suddenly shook the stone, until the crystals sang out with a gentle hummmmmmm that could be heard throughout the Negaverse. A soft glow suddenly sparked deep within the stone. It appeared distant, as though peering at a light through several feet of murky water. Bit by bit, the stone began to chip away. The cracks were small at first, but quickly grew like a spider's web. They raced along the wall with a terrible sound, splitting the stone in half. Sharp slabs of crystal and stone fell from the ceiling, shattering against the floor with a deafening crash. The resonance grew until the whole of the Negaverse shook violently, sharp crystal and chunks of rock crashing here and there in every room. It felt like an earthquake that rocked the cathedral to its core. Every crystal in their small Kingdom sang out as though struck by a tuning fork, the pitch rising to a sharp and even painful note. It rose and rose, until a sudden silence blanketed the ears of any unfortunate agent who happened to be present at the time. A final ripple of power exploded outwards, and the wall blew out in a violent blast. When the dust had settled, the Youma Queen had gone. And in her place, was a door. Quote: What does this mean for you?-You may RP as though your Negaverse character is present in Negaspace when this occurs! Feel free to use this thread as a reaction ORP. Or you may choose not to. You are not required to post any reaction to participate in the upcoming ORP. There won't be anymore GM posts in this thread, it's just to use if you would like to react. -An ORP will take place beginning next Saturday, the 18th to ICly introduce some major changes to the Negaverse! This is roughly a week both ICly and OOCly. Very exciting things are in store for the Negaverse, so this will be a week-long ORP. It will go at a slow pace so that everyone who would like to be present has a chance to do so. Expect one to two GM posts each day, at most. This is to introduce some new things for the Negas and will be a unique experience, so we'd like everyone to have a chance to be there. -This door does not give off a welcoming or friendly air. Its energy signature is very, very, very powerful. It is ill advised to touch it, but if you decide to do so, you will likely find yourself blasted back into the far wall hard enough to leave a solid set of bruises. Yes, angry door is angry. Post By endejester What was that... what was that feeling that vibrated through the air and the sound of cracking and breaking crystals, he had to know... he followed it... listing this way and that as he searched for the source of it. His pulse quickened even as his steps slowed in trepidation against making a wrong turn. Little could have prepared him for the door. It was enormous, glowering and ominous, it was like something from the Dreams of Dante... terrifying...radiating power...ominous... It was beautiful. He stood for a long while almost reaching a hand forward to touch the dangerous curves but drew back at the sheer magnitude of it. Wiser perhaps to gaze in awe... he pulled out scraps of paper he'd intended for the bulletin board, turned them over and began to scratch out small notes for his own devises. Post By Demy-Stardust As a captain shortly after the BMC operation, Scheelite had spent plenty of time in the Negaspace. It was something he had avoided at great lengths before, much preferring the streets of the city as his workspace than the unknown crystal walls of their home base. But after the trauma and loss in the halls of the BMC's former base Scheelite had spent a lot of his time down here, hiding in the corners and simply trying to feel safe in the world again. Primase's grisly murder had set the boy on edge, made him doubt his place in the world and at times even the Negaverse itself.
Thankfully that had all been fixed when he finally worked up the courage to talk to Tanzanite (being summoned directly to her had left little choice in the matter), and she had blessed him with the promotion he now strolled the halls with. He was still working off the absolute high of the promotion itself, and the blonde was once again filled to the brim with confidence in the world around him.
When the gentle humming of the crystals of the Negaverse had started up, Scheelite had decided to try and match them with a hum of his own. As they rose in pitch so did he, even going so far as to briefly yell at the wall to try and match the noise when it grew so loud he could just barely stand it. As silence fell across the Negaverse, only broken by the occasional crash of some rock or crystal breaking loose thanks to whatever that rumble had been. Scheelite was feeling more and more jittery, wondering what the hell that had been. It felt something like an earthquake...or at least what he had heard they should feel like.
It both fascinated and scared him.
Like Zink before him he felt drawn to the source of the noise and powerful feeling in the air. The other officer would be treated to a soft glow slowly lighting the room around the door seconds before the unmistakable voice rang out.
"DUDE...what is that?! It looks so creepy and cool!" Post By Lilwolfpard It had been a while since she dared teleport to the dark kingdom... it was her home away from home true, but she was also not surer comfortable in teleporting just yet. Granted, it was a blessing in disguise that she was a eternal rank so a single teleport did not drain her as drastically as if she was super. She had not had to go through that particular stage in the negaverse. She was wandering around, peering at a random youma that passed a moment before it fled back into the darkness. What..? Then she felt it. The thrum of something powerful... something dark, chilled her to the bone. Eyes narrowing, she peered curiously... a moment before her whole world seem to turn topsy turvy. She let out a screech as the whole place shook, the crystal halls threatening to topple on her. She was tempted to teleport out, leave the place... but she instead chose to look for cover to duck down. Darting out of the larger room, she ran down a hallway. Deeper and deeper.... the feeling growing stronger the more she ran. She could not seem to stop her feet, a moment before she ran into another room. Something glowed on one side, something strong... something beautiful. Green orbs gre wwide looking at it, staring intently. "....What is that zink?" She called out to no one in particular. Eying it warily, she approached. Hair dragging on the floor she turned a moment to see something also enter the room.... around JUST as glowy, if not more. She knew that energy... "...Schee is that you?" Post By Lithia_Brandon Captain Painite was not too used to things like giant evil doors. Who would be? Certainly they had seen and done some very interesting lives, particularly her own tenure as a Negaverse officer, but everything she used to consider odd or intimidating fell a little short at the moment, and she couldn't think of them. Figures something strange would happen one of the few times she popped in to visit beyond business.
Why did that door look and feel so... vicious? Doors, she decided as she continued to watch it, were not supposed to be anything but portals into another room. This one's purpose could not be that simple.
That was interesting, scary, and oddly thrilling for the devious, fun loving Captain.
"Hey, so, that's not normal, right? I can't say I mind a little redecorating around here, of course," She was talking to the body she felt was nearest to her, not looking up immediately, before setting her eyes on her new buddy, Ammolite. She brightened immediately, scooting over to her and putting her hands on her own hips as she stood near the corrupted Eternal senshi.
She saw Scheelite and Zinkenite, both much different now to when she first met them, waving at the two of them as well. It was easier to be herself then let any uncertain fear or shadow of doubt penetrate her usual being. Whatever was going on, it was in their home and had to serve some purpose to them. It didn't feel like rainbows and light, and that was a good thing. Rainbows and light meant senshi, and that would just piss her off. They had their planets and the insistence that the Earth was theirs as well. This, however, seemed to be untouchable by them. Whatever happened with the angry door, it was the Negaverse's.
Though, if puppies and kittens came flooding out when it opened, she wouldn't complain. She was all for irony. Post By The Professional Prophet Hematite had just been passing through. It was his policy to spend as little time as possible in the crystal caverns as he could. Not that he remembered much to back up his gut feeling. Something about the place just made him uncomfortable. Okay, a large part of that was those two crystal pillars in the other room, the room he pretty much avoided now. They just creeped him out in a way he couldn't fully explain, and he couldn't figure it out either - it wasn't like he recognized the two people trapped in them. The rest of it was just a vibe. While some people used this place as a secret base, others actually lived here. But even during the weeks Hematite had run away from everything in his life that resembled a home, he refused to live in the Negaverse. Teleport in, turn in energy, get out. That was the policy he was sticking with. He wasn't even the only person wandering around the dark kingdom right now. Officers were hanging around or disappearing down hallways. It was the liveliest Hematite could ever recall the place being when a meeting wasn't in session. Maybe Heather was right, maybe he was feeling old. Three years were forever in his eyes. The almost acceptable business of the gathered officers was interrupted by strange humming sounds that were emanating from all around them and getting louder. The walls, the ceiling, the floor... and then it was like they'd been hit with an earthquake. The captains vanished, their survival instincts honed perfectly. Hematite didn't know what to do but brace himself and stare around the room, clamping his hands over his ears when the sound was too much. That was new. And new, in the Negaverse, was usually not something you wanted to be the first to run toward. When the crystal settled, he heard voices down the hall, where some powerful energy was now radiating from. He followed it to its source, calling out before he actually stepped inside on the off chance that something that announced itself with earthquakes and loud noises might possibly be dangerous. "What the ******** was that?" he asked the gathered officers with his perfect grasp on eloquence. There was... something strange and glowing in the wall, surrounded by chunks of dislodged crystal. He pointed. "What the ******** is that?" Post By Mouse Pachinkorelli It was the first time Uranophane had set foot in the subspace for weeks, and of course that meant something strange and noisy was going to happen. She just wanted some god damned peace and quiet; something she could normally get from the underground cathedral's cold and eerie silence. So, it was with slumped shoulders and a heavy scowl on her face that she made her way grumpily over to the source of the commotion, trying to figure out what was going on. The first thing she noticed, however, was not the door. That was, in fact, the third thing on the list. No, the first development that caught her eye was that god damned Scheelite had gotten a god damned promotion. Her gaze threatened to bore a hole into his colorful new uniform. He might have actually felt a slight sting for a moment. The second was that there was a new corrupted senshi around, who seemed to be at a higher level than any of the other ones she knew about, including Vivianite. At the very least, that was more intriguing than it was irritating. The third thing was finally the doo-- No. Wait. The door barely managed to catch her attention first. It was, ultimately, hard to miss -- it was huge, it was imposing, and its appearance in general announced itself as something big, something important. Something powerful. The energy near it was absolutely enormous. Uranophane couldn't begin to guess why the door was there, or what exactly was behind it... but whatever it was, she was certain it was a force to be reckoned with. And then Uranophane turned to the third thing that had almost further delayed her from examining the damn thing. "It's. A. Door. Hematite." she growled, crossing her arms in contempt. Was everyone who irritated her going to show up today? At this rate she wouldn't be surprised if Lina made some sort of appearance, the traitorous b***h. Post By and be blue Ilmenite didn't come into the Negaverse subspace often. It wasn't, specifically, that he avoided the place -- it was more that he was too human still to fully appreciate it. Even with the corruption of Captain singing in his blood, he still liked people too much. He liked humans. He liked crowded rooms full of oblivious people, and not just for the potential of gathering large quantities of energy. He preferred the low pulse of a drum's bass to the hollow ringing of his own footsteps against crystal floors, and the slow echo of it coming back to him. This place made him feel alone, most of the time. That was the problem. Except for the places that made him all too aware that he was not. The last time he had been here, there had been a door. A large door. An intimidating door. He'd set his hand against it and felt the thrumming of great energy beneath his palm. Even now, he couldn't quite remember what it had looked at, his memory blanked into a series of twisted, frozen youma with fingers clutching after his Lieutenant garb, trying to hold on to a piece of him. This time, he arrived early enough to hear the piercing shriek of tumbling stone, stepping up behind Zinkenite just as the wall began to fall away. People asked what was being revealed, great and angry, and he should have played nice -- these were his coworkers, after all, people he was likely going to have to deal with for the rest of his life -- but he couldn't quite help himself. "It's a door." Yes. It was snide. His voice formed a chorus with Uranophane's, teasing delivered in stereo, and he grinned.

PAGE 2 Post By The Professional Prophet "Yeah, yeah," he rolled his eyes right back at Uranophane. "Let's see about that. We're probably marveling at the legendary doors to the Negaverse's bathrooms or something. I could see them picking this kind of door out of a catalogue. Gives off the right amount of disturbing energy. I wouldn't peg our esteemed General-Queens as the type for tasteful home improvement." "Might want to step back, captain," he addressed Painite with mock chivalry, "This 'door'-opening business could get ugly." "I'd offer ladies first, but you know, I'm still not convinced about that with you." Hematite and Uranophane both pressed their hands against the door in unison, and pushed. Or at least, they would have tried that next -- Post By Mouse Pachinkorelli Suddenly the area around the door exploded. Or, at least, it certainly felt like it did. Everyone even remotely near it was hit by the sudden pulse of dark energy emitted from the stone, and it was powerful enough to knock the wind out of just about anyone there. It was hard to tell which was louder: the burst of chaotic force, or the expletives being shouted by Hematite and Uranophane as they peeled themselves from the opposite wall and fell to the floor. Post By Lithia_Brandon Painite grinned and nodded her head, taking a step back and lifting her hand to her chin in feigned worry and hesitance.
"Do be careful, doors can be unpredictable," she said lightly.
It was very easy to tease, particularly since Painite, for one, resorted to that tactic quiet frequently. But still, the fact remained that something evil was oozing from the door, more so than in any other part of the place, even including their own dark auras of varying power. She couldn't help but remain anxious, or at least feel like she was sitting on pins, watching the door with mounting anticipation as the idea of opening it swept through the room.
Maybe it was a bathroom, or just a simple 'other room', but she doubted it would have made such a grand and sudden entrance if it had been. She was still holding out for puppies and kitties though.
And then, of course, they touched the door and anything but friendly baby animals happened. She was surprised by the strong pulse, wishing now that she had heeded the warning to step back a bit more seriously. She lost her balance and hit the floor, landing on her bottom, looking up in wonder. For a moment she thought the duo had been obliterated, but she spotted them an impressive distance away, momentary decorations on the far wall until hitting the floor as well.
"Bloody hell!" She panted, grumbling mostly to herself as she tried to collect the air that had been knocked out of her, "I'm suddenly very happy not having it opened, if it's all the same. Are those two alright?" Post By Zero Dream Good lord, the urge to just start teleporting around like Nightcrawler hopped up on sugar was hard to resist. Very, very hard to resist.
Perhaps the only thing that stopped the new captain was that she had to teleport here to begin with. It had indeed knocked the s**t out of her, just as Alunite had warned her. So it was a slightly more subdued Fluorite that came forward, after the shaking had caught the two siblings off-guard. She slid her way around people with only the faintest brushing of cloth following her form, as she took place in between Ilmenite and Zinkenite.
Ilmenite would keep her from being bowled over, and Zinkenite wasn't tall enough to hinder her view. And what a view was it...
Well, until something of indeterminate gender flew right over both their heads, along with enough dark energy to nearly bowl her over. "Holy crap !"The newly minted super senshi of Eclipse had chosen to hang about further back, clearly a little more unsure about this whole chaotic door from the depths of hell thing than his sister was. Not that Fluorite was stupid enough to touch it.
He hoped.
And time gave him reason - and being further back, he rushed to Uranophane's side, certain that others would go to the other captain's aid as well. "Are you alright ?" Post By Demy-Stardust "That's me! Negaverse rave-bulb, we'll never have to worry about being lost in the dark again yeah?" Scheelite was grinning, letting Lyra play with his uniform and completely ignoring any scorn sent his way by Uranophane. Hell -yes- he was a General, he just seemed to miss the utter contempt in her voice at having to say that.
The only thing that seemed to interrupt him from his good mood was the sudden rush of dark energy that had him stumbling back and nearly falling on his a**. Nearly. He was rather lucky that arm flailing had him remaining on his feet when all was said and done. Scheelite's gaze shot to the door, then across the room to the cursing Hematite and Uranophane, then back to the door.
"Oh please, clearly you guys don't know how to open a door! Yeah, it doesn't have handles...but you know what ELSE doesn't have handles? Those awesome motion detected ones! I bet that's what this is, see the skull thing up there on top? It's mooooootion activated, watch!'
The new General marched his way up to the door, pointing dramatically up at the skull looking down on them all.
"Now see here door, I'm a General of the Negaverse and as such I command you to open, kay? Be a good door and open up for us!"
When talking to the door didn't seem to help, nor standing in front of it expectantly, Scheelite heaved a sigh and began jumping up and down in front of it, waving his hands high above his head.
"HEY SKULL THING! I'm standing here, open the damned door!" Post By Yinesa More people were filtering in and before she realized what was going on, Hematite and Uranophane threw themselves into trying to get that door open. The following explosion and energy burst caused Paragonite to throw her arms up to block her face. When things settled she moved over to Hematite and prodded his arm.
"And what did we learn?" she then heard Scheelite talking and sighed. Really? Post By and be blue The pair had stepped forward and Ilmenite had froze with the energy still caught in the curl of one hand and the other settled lightly against Zink's spine -- his mouth opened to say something along the line of Painite's warning. He knew what had been behind that other door, and if this one was anything similar.... Too late. They touched it and the pulse washed over him, sending Ilmenite staggering back again. An affectionate brush of fingers turned into a rough tug on the back of Zink's jacket to pull him out of the worst of it, not quite throwing himself in front of the smaller general. He knew he didn't have to protect Zink. Zac, maybe. "...s**t. Um. Do we really want to open it?" His eyes flashed over the suddenly-enthusiastic Schee, uncomfortable with the way he was throwing himself at the thing. "I did have another idea. One that involves us standing well away from it." Post By Lilwolfpard Lyra was about to say something to Ilmenite.... when Hematite and Uphane both touched the door. There was a moments pause as nothing happened. One second Lyra was on her feet.... and the next she felt herself falling backwards landing rather uncomfortably on her back and coming to s skidding halt. Her breathing strained, she forced herself to sit up on her elbows, eyes on the door... and then noticing the two that were just there, were now gone. "...Where did they..." Looking around, she soon saw the two bodies slumped on the ground. "...Oh god Are you alright!?" Clambering to her feet she watched as a few approached the two, not really...sure what to do she looked up at Ilmenite, as if wondering what she SHOULD do. Help them?... But how? "...maybe we should keep the door closed." Maybe put something infront of it too. Maybe they should just walk away. Post By Mouse Pachinkorelli Uranophane was, admittedly, just a little dazed. It probably had something to do with the back of her head being thrown violently against a stone wall along with the rest of her body. So when Alunite made his way over and asked her how she was, she responded with a slightly groggy, "What the hell do you ******** god damn. Post By Zero Dream Probably like sunshines and kittens.
The answer didn't seem to deter him, through - and he held out his land for the captain to take, should he needed it.
Yes, trap successfully deployed in this case. He'd clearly missed Hematite's comment right before all this door action happened. Post By Lithia_Brandon As Scheelite moved to replace the other two at the door, and perhaps have a bit more success than the last attempts, Painite got to her feet and dusted herself off. She was not a vain creature by nature, but she was embarrassed and didn't like it.
She hadn't even touched the door and fell over, after all.
Her attention was soon drawn from those thoughts, though, when she saw Fluorite and Alunite arrived. Fluo was a friend and she was excited to see that she had gotten a promotion, wondering if her weapon was a bit more useful now. Her attention was drawn to her alien friend, however, noticing that the corrupted senshi had upgraded as well.
Evil door momentarily forgotten, she scooted over to the two fallen Negas and Alunite because of it. She arrived in time to hear Uranophane snap, smiling pitifully at her. She would have been angry too, considering.
"Yes, door closed is probably a good idea," she called, hearing Ammolite's voice and not wanting her to go anywhere near the door. She glanced over just to be sure, then looked at Alunite. "You're looking fancy." She commented to him as she moved to check on Hematite.
"You about as okay as your buddy there?" she asked carefully, hoping neither had been hurt too badly by getting tossed by a surprisingly strong foe. Doors, man. Post By The Professional Prophet Ohhhhhh ******** whoever designed this place is a real a*****e," he coughed, propping himself up next to Paragonite. He was still a little dazed from the speed with which his head had come in contact with the wall behind them. God damn it, that hurt. "Aaah, I guess." He glanced up at Painite while rubbing the back of his head. Then he seemed to fully realize what she'd said. He glared sharply at Uranophane. " He's not my buddy." Post By and be blue Ilmenite's head turned at the sound of familiar voices -- and he blinked at Fluo and her brother, his head tipped just a little to one side. Had she been a Captain when they'd gone out? No, he felt like she would have mentioned that, certainly. Must be new since then and, well, good for her. Even if she still didn't have shoes. He didn't run over to approach, instead rolled his shoulders in a shrug and sighed down at his ball of energy. Maybe not a wise idea; the duo didn't look so hot. Though if they could stand far back, maybe it wouldn't be that dangerous. He'd wait, anyway. Post By Felyn Alkaid had parted ways with Hematite earlier in the day to let him turn in his energy quota, aiming instead to find others and begin the long and tiring process of recruitment for the new idea she had thought of and forced the Captain to help her with. Not that he'd really complained about having to sit at home in front of the TV and wait for calls.
She had just been rounding a corner in a hallway, looking for someone she could hear but not see, when the entirety of the Negaspace began to shake from the foundations up. Did it even have foundations? Regardless, she had reached out and grasped for the edge of a table to try and hold herself in place, until it stopped almost as abruptly as it had started.
Then began the long and annoying journey through the winding, maze of halls that was once the only home she knew. She snaked in and out of entrances, turned corners, until she was finally nearing the place where all the commotion had started.
She turned one last corner and was greeted with.. many things. At the forefront of everything was a large, ominous door that pulsed with such an awful energy that she could hardly bring herself to walk into the room. Yes, she was filled with the power of Metallia just like every other Negaverser in that room, but at her core she was still very much a senshi. It didn't take a genius to know that some things were beyond her control and other things would balk at even the idea of her trying to do so. That door, as unnatural as it felt to the lieutenants and captains and generals in the room, felt like a black hole to her. She would investigate.. from way over here, by the easy escape route.
Of course, it seemed other people didn't have that same kind of intuition - not that it should have surprised her to enter just in time to see her companion and another captain trying to open it. It didn't surprise her when the door repelled them either, only made her flinch and bring her arms up to half shield her body from the radiating energy that just barely touched her at such a distance.
As ridiculous as this entire situation was, she still looked on Hematite's body where it was now slumped on the floor with complete and total lack of surprise. Just because she wasn't surprised didn't mean she wasn't concerned though - she remembered the last time he'd played around with dark energy.
She shifted through the crowd of people, trying not to smirk at the dry tone Para had directed right at her dense partner. Instead she stooped next to Hematite, wedging herself between the other negaladies that had come over to mock and/or help, and reached out with a hand to touch his head - completely uninvited. If he wanted to act like a child, he could deal with mothering.
"Did you hurt anything?" It was a simple question, laced with a dozen implications only he and anyone that had seen him bleeding to death on a couch would understand. Her face was one that said she wasn't in the mood for nonsense right then. Post By Demy-Stardust This approach didn't seem to be working either, but Scheelite hadn't grown tired of his efforts just yet.
"Look door, I'm not as short as some of the people here, SORRY GUYS!, so you can CLEARLY see me. So stop being a jerk and just open kay? You already threw some people into a wall, though that kind of looked like fun... Isn't that enough though? Don't you want us to know what's behind you? You're a pretty stupid door if you don't, ugh."

PAGE 3 Post By Mouse Pachinkorelli Uranophane glared at Hematite before begrudgingly taking the proffered hand, getting back up to her feet. God damn, that hurt like a b***h. She glared at the door again, frowning from all the new reasons she had to hate it. "All that really told us is that -- that a Captain of the Negaverse can't open that door." She would have said something about individual worth... but then that would mean she was on the same level as Hematite. That was really not possible. "Not that it's completely impossible to open." The Captain gingerly rubbed at the back of her neck, already able to tell that there were bruises forming. At least it was nothing she wasn't used to dealing with. And then she threw out another suggestion, a hand reaching up to grip at her chin as she did so. "Maybe we need someone of a higher rank to try." Post By Lilwolfpard Blinking, Fayalite entered the small area where the gathering of people was. She was late to the party apparently... What had attracted her to the room initially was the dark energy serge she jsut felt. Earlier, she felt the quakes and was trying to find somewhere to hide.. but then again, where do you hide in the subspace? She had asked Zink to bring her with him today, wanting to do some exploring herself. She couldn't after all teleport here herself just yet.
"...Why the hell are you all on the floor?" Looking over, she quirked an eyebrow at Hematite and Uphane. She shuffled out of the way as a girl with long dreadlocks pushed past, shrugging. Looking up she saw a few faces she knew.. and a lot she didnt. Fayalite knew the door was there... but was that the power source she was feeling? The hairs of the back of her neck rose as she glaced out of the corner of her eye at it.
Yup, must be.
"... So Ilmenite, was that dark surge i just felt from that?" She pointed at the door. A rather silly question but...
"...Scheelite i doubt talking to the door will work, open sesame is a myth." Post By and be blue "Yeah, they decided the best way to test the waters was to dive in head first instead of, you know, poking a toe in." He'd been largely ignored three times, now. Ilmenite wasn't exactly thrilled. He shrugged as his eyes settled onto Faya, and she might know him well enough to noticed the snap of annoyance through his tone of voice. Not holding back now, it was full-bore sarcasm. "They seem to be alright, though, hm?" He gestured, vaguely, with the hand still curled around energy, his own idea for opening the doors. "Angry, but alright." Post By Lithia_Brandon Painite nodded, taking silent note. Not buddies. At least he didn't look too bad for getting chucked into a wall. She smiled and nodded, feeling partly guilty if only because it had been rather light hearted before trying to open the door and now retrospect was setting in.
Doors really were unpredictable. At least Nega doors.
She took a step back as Alkaid arrived, thinking he had enough company to get himself to his feet. Everyone had learned a good lesson, at least. No touching the door. She glanced over to see Scheelite talking to it. A more peaceful and less physical method but, apparently, also ineffective.
"I think that also told us trying to open the door is probably a bad idea," she sighed, putting her hands on her hip as she lingered near Alunite, and as far from the door as possible. Still, she couldn't say she wanted to give up. If a person couldn't open it by touch was one thing. What if it was rank based? Or a corrupt senshi rather than a Nega? Or what if there was something else they could do? It required some investigation. She wasn't the only one thinking that, either.
But she still didn't like the way it glared. It reminded her of the elephant graveyard in the lion king. Post By Demy-Stardust Someone of a higher rank was in a prime position to do so, but was still pretty wrapped up in his discussion with the door on the idea of how it should be opening to hear it.
"Cmooooon door, OPEN already! I bet there's something super neat behind you right? Maybe treasure! Or a lounge...we could use a lounge. With like..a hot cocoa machine and stuff, now that would be cool. That's what you are, right door? Super sweet Nega-lounge?"
At Faya's entrance the boy blinked and turned to eye her for a moment. Damn...open sesame was -totally- going to be his next try.
Fine. Whatever.
"Look, I'm a General. It'll totally open for me, just you see!"
Completely ignoring the valuable lesson that could be learned from both Uranophane and Hematite flying across the room, Scheelite chose to try and open the door by kicking it in frustration. The resulting blast of dark energy sent the General backflipping across the room before slamming into the opposite wall at a slight distance to those who had tried before him. Unlike them though, his flight was met with a "WOOOO!" before the resulting crash earned a cry of pain and a curse.
The colorful General fell head over heels, peeling down the wall like a child's wall-crawling toy, before landing face first on the floor in a neat little bundle wrapped up in his cape.
Today he learned that while his cape wouldn't allow him to fly, kicking angry looking doors could! Post By Yinesa Paragonite just laughed a bit with Hematite's response. She couldn't really argue with that. She wouldn't have bothered trying either way. She looked over as Painite, she didn't recognize the captain, but when Alkaid made her way on the scene she had no issues letting her in to do her thing. It was partly due to some respect for the corrupt senshi and partly because it would become fodder for picking on Hematite later. You had to take what you could get, really.
"His pride from the looks of it." she responded to the question Alkaid had directed to the injured party before turning to look back towards Scheelite.
"SCHEE. GET AWAY FROM THAT D--." there was a pause as she watched Scheelite go flying across the room, landing not too far away. "oor..." She looked at Hem and Alkaid, "If you'll excuse me." she turned and made her way over to Scheelite, looking down at him.
"You know, I already asked one person what they learned today, but I'm not against asking you either. I don't think I'd want the answer though." Post By The Professional Prophet " Kaia-" Okay, he'd done something a little stupid, but not stupid enough to warrant this treatment in front of like half the Negaverse. The speed with which his reputation was being lost was practically tangible. Like hell he would let Uranophane have the last laugh here and now. He reached up to try and brush Alkaid's hand away in full-on petulant child mode. "No, I'm fine. Really. It's okay." Something colorful was blasted in the wake of another wave of energy, and soon hit the ground beside him. Hematite weakly held up a hand for a high five. "Welcome to the club, Scheelite." Post By Lilwolfpard "...I dont think thats such a good ide-" She said right after Ilmenite said this was the cause of touching the door... and Scheelite, not listening, went flying. She sighed deeply, and looked back at the ending pad which was a wall. it was a miracle that there were not dents in the wall from the three impacts. "... Schee that was pretty...uhm... 'smooth'." Shaking her head, her eyes glanced between Zink and Ilmen. "I guess we know touching the door is bad... so i guess tiny steps are no longer needed?"
"...Anyone think about tossing weapons or... i duno." She looked at Lyra, alunite, and Alkaid. "Magic?"Lyra in the mean time, now back on her feet, watched as the General was flung across the room. Her jaw dropped a little, as she looked around at the faces, and took a step towards the three officers whom tried touching the door. It was not said to her, not even a glance... but she was the only eternal corrupted senshi in the room. "...Im not touching that." She pointed at the door. Post By and be blue Ilmenite stumbled again, this time almost losing his balance -- and when he grabbed at Zink, it was for support instead of protection. His reply came out short, snappish, already starting to get tired of this. "I don't think anyone with half a brain would touch it, at this point." ...and then he realized he'd snapped at Lyra and he drew in a breath, his shoulders sagging a little. That wasn't fair. "Sorry. Faya, I suggested throwing energy at it. They decided to push it, instead." Post By Mouse Pachinkorelli And, Scheelite down. Uranophane braced herself against the resultant wave and then continued pondering, unmindful of the General who had crumpled to a heap nearby. "The energy levels around the damn thing are enormous," she observed. Not that it wasn't noticeable already. "Not even a General can match it." Maybe a General-King could? Or Queen Beryl? She turned her gaze to Fayalite. "Do you think we have anything we have in our arsenal that might do the trick? Maybe we should report this to one of the General-Queens. They would want to know about this anyway." Post By Zero Dream Fluorite had mostly tuned out Scheelite's amazing speech to the door. This was really normal, average Scheelite behavior, really.
Through when he did move to touch it, she couldn't help it, She facepalmed, then grapped Zinkenite when the next dark wave nearly bowled them over.
Hell no, she wasn't touching that thing. Nope ! Not doing it ! "Yeah, I can't say im surprised." She nodded toward Fayalite. Tossing weapons ? Ngh... She really didn't want to bust her shiny new knives right after she got them.
Call her selfish, but this was the first time she had a weapon worth being called a weapon.Alunite remained steady as he helped Uranophane back along on his feet, then let go when the captain looked stable enough on his feet. He couldn't help but smile at Painite, making sure to show off a bit. Not that he looked much different - weird shoulderpads things and a bit more tatter in the skirt.
"I don't toss magic, per-se." Was his answer to Fayalite. It was true - his magic affected people directly. "I target people - don't think that'll work on a door."
There was also a good helping of not doing this either motivating that explaination. Post By Felyn Alkaid stared at Hematite for a long moment as he pushed her hand away roughly, fighting with herself inwardly. On one hand, this was the boy that had been placed in her care, the one she had brought back from the brink of death. She had always felt.. different with him. Yet, this was also a Captain of the Negaverse and she was just a corrupt Senshi. She had hoped he'd never learn to give her orders, but who was she to disobey them now in front of everyone?
"Fine," she said quietly, almost as if she didn't believe him, but the concerned look on her face faded. She faded. That shielded expression she wore among the Negaverse clicked precisely into place and she stood up to address the officers that were just beginning to think of all the new ways they could aggravate that angry demon door.
Hematite could sit there and be proud of himself, alone.
"I'm afraid I don't have a magic that would be applicable in that sense, no more than Alunite's." She crossed the room and stood closer to the pair that had suggested magic, though she chose to stand at Lyra's side instead. In the entire room of officers, she and Alunite were the only ones that radiated an energy that made her feel even remotely comfortable at the moment.
She glanced between Lyra, the officers, and the door and finally shrugged her shoulders. "Unless you would like to try dazing it into submission, but Uranophane is right. This is an enormous energy signature and my magic only affects much.. weaker powers." Post By Demy-Stardust "Hell yes that was AWESOME!" It was hard to tell if it was his normal excitement or the wall-daze talking, but Scheelite still seemed pretty thrilled with his little 'adventure'. At Hematite's welcome he wiggled an arm out of his cape bundle and quickly high fived. "Thanks dude, at least we had fun right? I did!"
To Para he simply rolled over on his back and grinned up at her.
"What I learned in school today wasssss that big Negaverse doors are -mean- and don't want to open into the amazing lounge that is clearly behind them. And that flying is FREAKING COOL!...but the landing tends to hurt, owwww."
Finally the grin broke into a bit of a pout as the pain overtook the sheer excitement of his short but amazing flight. Post By Lithia_Brandon Painite felt the dark pulse and rocked, looking in surprise and not seeing Scheelite until he was on the floor. She frowned and shook her head, glancing over at Ammolite.
"You are definitely not touching that," she agreed. She might have thought about trying a corrupt senshi instead of a nega officer, but so far they were zero for three on successfully touching the door and not being thrown.
It was fair to assume they would continue to fail at it, though persistence often paid off. She subscribed to the try and try again theory, but not at the expense of her friends and her colleagues getting hurt.
She sighed, tilting her head.
The dark energy of the door was not ebbing in the slightest, not indicating that it wanted any of them near it, let alone opening it. And once it was open, would they want to go in? Painite felt the surge of adrenaline that said she totally would, but that was always blinded by the thought of something terrifying or awesome. Some unobtainable goal she just had to see. At the moment, though, her want of that unknown was dwindling significantly whenever she looked at the folks who had been knocked over, or felt that strong pulse.
Then she looked back at the door and wondered... if they did get it open... and they did figure out what was inside... it was probably awesome or terrifying... damn.
"Reporting it might be a good idea." Post By and be blue "...she must know, though." Ilmenite cleared his throat, forcing himself to relax -- even if doing so meant leaning lightly again Zink, a little more friendly than the younger man might have liked. He figured so long as he didn't get slapped or barked at, he was still with safe bounds. "I mean, she knows this place....really well, doesn't she?" Memories bubbling up again; the fearless way Tanzanite had eased through the youma's, carelessly ignoring their touch against her. How right her heels had sounded against the winding stairs, how comfortably she had navigated difficult terrain. This was her home, and it had shown. The other General-Kings and General-Queens didn't even occur to him.

PAGE 4 Post By Yinesa Paragonite's eyes flickered back and forth between Hem and Schee as they hi-5'ed over their run in with the door. Shaking her head she just glared at the general as he started spouting off about what he learned at school. She bit her tongue on chastising him completely in public. He was still a general, even if she found it more than impossible to take him seriously after living with him. Instead she crossed her arms and gave him the look that said 'you're in for it later'.
"Well, you're still in one piece. You can get up I assume?" Post By Lilwolfpard Eyes on uphane, she nodded once. If it repelled two captains at the same time, and then a general right after... "I was thinking along the lines of tossing things at it all at once, but If that thing repels things come to think of it... that might not be wise. Turning our own tools against us would not be really wise."
Fayalite looked around the room.. oh yeah that would suck. Not to mention, her weapon was not that much use.... being a pole with a paper lantern. She felt small for a moment, surrounded by mostly higher ranking officers. "I have an attack that can be flung out...but if it does repel i dont think anyone here would find it pleasant." Plus, it was a attack that went in a direct line in front of her. It would hit any allies who got in the way as well. Reaching into the sash of her hips, she ran her fingers over the crystal she had hidden there... still no idea what it was or what it could do. Looking up and around Alkaid was there, a smile forming. Taking a arm she looped it through the dread locked girls, wanting comfort as well. While they were negaverse agents, the idea that there was Aklaid and Alunite there was a comfort to her. They were few and far between, but not alone. Post By Zero Dream Alunite nodded along, taking place with the two other negaverse senshi, effectively sandwiching herself in between his own body and Alkaid's. Maybe it was her age, or the fact she had so recently forgotten everything. Maybe it was even both of these factors, but the newly-super senshi couldn't help but feel protective of Ammolite.
He felt right, here. At peace, with how the three of their auras mingled. He felt like he belonged, in this tiny little cluster surrounded by so many auras different than theirs. Maybe it was the only thing that mattered. Post By The Professional Prophet Hematite could see Alkaid's expression shift before she stood up and only now did he have the realization he'd made a mistake. He hadn't meant to be that dismissive. It was just... Well, whatever it was, it probably hadn't been worth that. A reputation? For what? He'd done nothing worth being reputable for for months on end. It was a wonder even Uranophane recognized him at all with how long he'd been gone or as good as. Maybe she'd just be mad for a little bit and then get over it. Or, well, Kaia - Alkaid - had already gone and clustered grouped herself with a group of senshi. Oh. She probably couldn't have picked a better repellant for Hematite. He didn't trust senshi, even senshi on their side. He wasn't going to go out of his way to be around them if he could avoid it, and he could very easily avoid it now. Even though he'd already made it back on his feet, he had to stare for a good long while as they debated the next thing to do about that stupid door. It was a weird wake-up call after spending so long being a recluse, away from most of the rest of the Negaverse's army. As civilians everything was fine. Preferable, even. In this context, though, he could see there was a lot more differences between them than he had ever acknowledged. More than he wanted to acknowledge. He'd forgotten a lot about the way this place worked. Maybe his newfound brother could spare him a few beers soon, because now suddenly felt like a fantastic time to go get completely hammered. Post By Demy-Stardust "I can get up! Watch!" Scheelite slowly pried himself off the floor, which involved more than one falter that almost sent him sprawling back onto it. Really, he was still getting used to the uniform! It had a lot more flow to it than his Captain outfit, and getting tangled up in capes and giant feathers was a lot easier when you just didn't know how to move with them yet.
Still, eventually he did get up off the floor Scheelite was straining to put a grin back on his face rather than the pained look he had been giving moments ago.
"So...what's the next idea? Cause I don't particularly want to throw anything at it with how it repelled us...maybe it's only set to open at a certain time? I know I've never seen the door down here, and I did do a lot of wandering around... The door is almost certainly new, which means it appeared for whatever reason and maybe soon enough a reason for it to open will appear, yes?"
Scheelite stretched his legs, circling around the little area containing him and the others that had gathered near him. He was thankful Para hadn't completely called him out in public, and even more so that Hematite seemed so welcoming of his so called stupid move. Hematite was one of those he had never gotten to know quite well in the past, but maybe now they could start! Post By Felyn Alkaid seemed to forgotten Hematite entirely, or as good as, for she was only glancing between Lyra and Alunite at this point. Even if Hematite didn't trust any other senshi as far as he could throw them, having them close was a comfort for her.
"I don't think your attack would be one we want to use against that," Alkaid offered, thinking back to the first time she had been beneath Lyra's shield. She shook her head then, as if she were confirming just how not helpful that would be, and squeezed her arm around Lyra's for comfort.
Then she threw her glance up at Alunite, where he stood across from her on Lyra's other side. "What about yours? I don't think I actually know what your power does." Post By The Professional Prophet "I think the senshi are taking care of that," he commented flatly to Scheelite. All the humor had apparently been bled out of him already, but none of the ire that was left was being pointed in Scheelite's direction. He turned away from the gathering to face the overly-excited general. "I think I'm out, man. Good luck solving the mystery of the door from hell or whatever." For a moment he seemed like he was going to turn around one last time, but thought better of it. The captain blinked out of existence as if he'd never been there at all. Post By Demy-Stardust "Hey wait, you don't have to go---" Too late, Hematite had already teleported out and the General left behind in his wake looked more than a little crestfallen. "Coulda stayed...we woulda figured it out..."
Damnit. Scheelite sighed and made a mental note to try better next time he and Hematite met. For now? ...Well...he was one of the strongest energy signatures present in the room (door not counted, of course), and he had already experienced first hand what happened when one touched the door. Touching the door was bad. Bad bad bad bad.
So, as a General, he should try and organize them a bit. Right?....Right!
"HEEEEEEY, LISTEN UP!" Scheelite had quickly found a fallen piece of rock to stand on, it giving him a bit more height and hopefully making his flailing arms a bit more visible. The glowing armbands probably helped with that too.
"Anybody have any ideas how to open the door without touching it, either with our own bodies or our weapons? I don't think throwing anything at it sounds like a good idea, ya know? Though if anyone here has a shield hidden away it might be a good time to break it out so maybe we can try that route?"
The General was grinning again, despite his aches and pains and the fact Hematite had left. This was his attempt to organize them a bit so no one else left in a huff. The more people present for this, the better! Or so he believed at least.
"I kinda think it's on a timer of some sort or something, so maybe nothing we do will open it. But I'm open to suggestions!"
He might not have commanded the most respect, but he was going to do his best to listen to everyone now that he had had his kicks (quite literally). Post By endejester He gave a nod to each person who arived, partularily to Florite, Alunite, Ilmenite and Ammolite, being as he had worked with them each fairly closely. He winced to see Uranophane go flying backwards... Though by the time Scheelite made his own cocky effort he just burried his face in his palm and put his notes away, with a quick smile and Nod to Ilmenite for trying to guard him from the room shaking officer hurling results of touching the door "perhaps..." he said quietly, it has already opened for whom it wished, else... I suspect that it will open when it is ready... The power and demeanor of the door can hardly be called welcoming at this time... Surely though there can be no one who was here who didn't feel it open. General Queen Tanzanite must surely know... Queen Beryl as well if she has not taken it on herself again to seek new recruits." Post By MoonKitsune Wolframite only came to the Negeverese for meetings and to turn in quota. As of a few weeks ago, he hadn’t been doing so, given a sort of leave of absence to recover, but that didn’t even stop him once his health returned. He still arrived, but unlike other officers, did not come to meet anyone or stay and chat. He’d been avoiding such confrontations with other officers as much as possible and as such, had hardly spoken to anyone on his side aside from the few get-well-wishers who came to either patch him up or check in. As it was, he felt that, in the deep, quiet space of the Negaverse Kingdom, that he would not meet anything but a youma today.
It was the crushing wave of energy and earthquake that caused him to snap his head down the hallway he’d just been, in the swirling darkness of the labyrinth of twists and turns of unknown, dark places, that he felt something new. It immediately sent him on alarm, and the fact it was inside their base worried him greatly. However, turning around to face down the hallway in the direction of this unknown feeling, he hesitated.
If it’s an enemy, I have to check it out and see. To warn anyone else.
Then again, if it was an enemy….something dangerous….
You won’t be any use.
And furthermore…
You’ll get hurt again.
He stepped back, looking back over his shoulder to where he had been originally headed, and wondered if…at this moment, he could teleport out. No witnesses. No one would be any the wiser.
Coward.
He paused, standing still. Of course, if he left, HE’D know. There was enough regret and other emotions plaguing him that he didn’t need to add further guilt to it.
Turning, he headed back down and in the vague direction of where he though the sounds and power was going from. In the dark, it was a strange beacon – but not of light. Working through the labyrinth of hallways, he finally happened upon the spot. Cracks in the wall and slabs of crystal laid scattered about, and as he approached closer, he heard voices. Many voices, and many energy signatures. Some small, some more powerful, but not as powerful as the unknown source.
A source that, turning the corner to step into the large foyer, showed itself to be a rather intimidating door. It caught his attention for only a minute. Eyes darting on glimmering, carved detail, and a glowing light that pulsed from the door and made him want to step back into the sahdows. Wolframite felt the eyes of the carved face were looking at him with disapproval and his eye locked on those of stone, feeling momentarily trapped in its gaze, before looking away and at all the faces he knew and did not knew.
To add to his surprise, Scheelite was speaking out, and in a new uniform. More promotions. He’s accomplished something. Bitterness role in the back of his throat and he swallowed it down, before, coasting his eyes amongst the crowd, he saw Uranophane. He was surprised to see her here, and slowly navigated to her. On his way, he heard the current conundrum.
He stopped, looking around, before thinking. He…had a thought, but he didn’t want to voice it gain that sort of attention. Still, …
Wolframite touched his chest, before touching his hair a bit, a short buzz cut on either side to even out the mess that the fire had consumed weeks ago. “If it doesn’t want to be opened, why did it show itself now? I’ve never seen this door? Why did it shake now and create this mess?” To which he vaguely gestured to the broken slabs of stone littering the floor. “It seems like it wants the attention, and if it’s here, it means we are supposed to figure out why it’s doing this now. If it’s an emergency, maybe it has to be opened as soon as possible?” He always worried about emergencies. About deaths that might happen if action wasn’t taken.
Post By Demy-Stardust New voice. Wolframite. From his perch on the rock Scheelite cast the other an understanding look before explaining. Wolframite had just walked in, hadn't seen the chaos before or heard the ideas already tossed out. As a former teammate (and always a family member), he would get him up to speed!
"For anyone just joining us, the door does not like to be touched. Trust me, it tossed two Captains and myself across the room like we were nothing. Flying is awesome, but I don't really want to repeat the experience yet. Opening it like that is just not going to happen."
He paused a moment, tapping his chin as he fought to put the rest of his thoughts in order.
"I haven't seen the door before either, but I think it was hidden for a reason. It showing up now doesn't mean it has to be opened right now, it could just mean it's making it's presence known so we will know where it is when the time does come for it to be open. It...could be an emergency, but a good portion of us are here...has anyone gotten any distress calls at all?" Here he moved to tap his headphones, where his own communication crystal was stored. "I haven't heard anything, but maybe someone else has?" Post By MoonKitsune While Scheelite's attitude was usually refreshing and light, the fact that Wolframite was seeing him in a general uniform added a sour tone to his perception of the officer's help. Dropping his hands, he narrowed his eye on Scheelite, not at all caring for his almost dismissing explaination that the door wasn't something that needed too much concern now but that it was just there.
"If it's making a fuss now, then it's angry for a reason. Big doors that look like that don't show up without a reason. That reason might be a whole lot of trouble for us if it's an emergency that is coming soon. Just because our crystals aren't singing right now, don't you think it's best if we find out a way to find out what the door is, wants, or how to open it before we find ourselves bearing witness to something really bad?" His last words had a bit more bite than Wolfarmite had intended them to have. Still, he continued.
"If it just wanted to be known, then it wouldn't be shaking the foundations of this place just to say hello and that it was here when and if the time came. If it wasn't needed, it wouldn't show up." Post By Demy-Stardust Inside, Scheelite was frowning rather heavily. Yes, he understood that it could be an emergency. While he hadn't been victim to the same level of things Wolframite had he had stepped away from the BMC with his own form of trauma. He'd walked these same halls in a paranoid daze fearful to step outside back into the war. Hell, he'd even given up fighting!
But still....
"Wolframite..." He almost called him simply 'captain', but that was far too dismissive and something Scheelite just couldn't do.
"I had just been asking if anyone had any ideas on how to open it as you stepped in, but advising against touching it because it...really doesn't like being touched. If you have any ideas, please share? We're just discussing ideas here, and I definitely get your concern, trust me I do." Post By MoonKitsune While Wolframtie could have jumped on Scheelite for saying he understood, it was the tone in which he said those words that made the captain hold back his words. The uniform his friend was wearing dissolved a moment and recalled back the fact that this was Scheelite and not someone patronizing him or dismissing his opinion or worry. Wolfram's eyes darted a moment from his gaze, feeling slightly ashamed for biting at him so viciously.
"Okay." He said, at least feeling better that it was still a concern that this might be an emergency.
His eyes went back to the door, thinking a moment. "It might sound stupid, but with most magical doors I've ever read about, don't you need a key or a special phrase?" He looked around. "Though I guess none of us would know. Where's our Queen?" She was the one that knew the most about the Negaverse. Their past, present, and held control of their future. Post By F a y t h - x Bismuthite had been there, a silent force watching and listening, trying to come up with his own solution. Thinking was getting to be a bit of a habit, and this was certainly more preferable than some things he had been lending thought to. A spark of irritation came as a familiar voice reached his ears. Rose eyes glanced that way, and he fought to not roll them until the tiff between Wolframite and Scheelite blew over and an actual sensible suggestion, and question, was cast. However, Bismuthite knew neither answer to these, and thus, remained silent.

PAGE 5 Post By Demy-Stardust "I tried talking to it to open, but if there's a special phrase I certainly didn't say it because...well it's still closed. That's a pretty good idea though! Or...maybe the inscriptions mean something? I've played games before where you've had to touch symbols in a certain order to get a door to open. That's another possibility..."
The question as to where Beryl was drew a rather nervous look from Scheelite, and he quickly averted his eyes to try and not let the other officers catch on to his unease.
"I am not sure where the Queen is, nor any of the General Queens. Their help would be of great use, but no one here has seen them yet today." Post By and be blue "...so, alright then. Let's try this, if nothing else." Ilmenite huffed out a breath, drawing back into focus. Dark eyes flashed to Wolframite and then to Schee, and holding up the energy pearl again he gestured everyone back a few steps. It was a little calmer, now, no one careening head first toward a door that could probably kill them all. Time to experiment. "If this doesn't work, we can try with a proper star seed." Even if the idea pained him a little. Could be a total waste of someone's life. He shrugged, and this time he actually threw the pearl, letting it sail through the air. His aim was constantly improving, as was his arm. It arched toward the door to colide gently with the metal, and he held his breath. Post By Marsh the Sex Panda Zanazziite was in the subspace again, she had been spending more and more time there lately, hitching rides with Captains since she couldn’t teleport in herself. She found the subspace to be calming. With her Grandmother getting sicker by the week and her shortcomings in school and the subsequent disapproval from her parents the subspace was a welcome relief. The Lieutenant could hide away in the dark corners with the more feral youma spending the day talking to them (though they generally didn’t talk back, these ones in particular weren’t intelligent enough), or teaching them tricks that no one would ever see. She was sure there were more productive things she could be doing with her time, but energy gathering was difficult when you were distracted. The bluenette made sure to reach her weekly quota, but lately she hadn’t been going above and beyond like she had in the beginning.
The moment the door made its presence known Zanazziite was play fighting with a youma bigger than she was. If she had to compare it to an animal she’d say it was most like a saber-tooth tiger, but tigers didn’t have tails that split into three ends near the middle, or three sets of eyes, two in the front and two in a horizontal line across his head. When the humming started Zan ignored it, distracted by pushing paws the size of dinner plates of her face. The humming slowly intensified and it didn’t take her long to realize it wasn’t just coming from the crystal walls but her own crystal which she had tucked in a pouch around her neck.
The humming grew louder and higher pitched, and then the walls began to shake. Play fighting was forgotten, even the youma could sense something was up. Lying on the floor Zan wrapped her arms around one of the tiger’s thick legs as the ground shook. She screamed as a chunk of the ceiling fell not ten feet away from her, but the tiger stayed standing over her a silent guardian. The seventeen year old’s eyes were screwed shut as the humming reached a painful tone, curling up in the fetal position under the big beast.
And then suddenly it stopped. It took the Lieutenant a minute or two to believe it. She was slow to unwrap herself from the tiger youma who was looking down at her between his legs with a look she would call concern, and others would call curiosity. Carefully she slid free and pushed herself to her feet, dusting her skirts off. She looked down at the tiger youma, and he looked back up at her and without thinking she began scratching behind his ears and all six eyes closed in contentment. ”I wonder what that was,” The hand that wasn’t scratching the youma reached up to grasp the pouch around her neck that held her crystal. ”I think I'll go find out” With a last pat on the youma’s head she let her hand fall away and started towards the origin of the energy blast she had felt.
It was only a few steps before she felt the tiger youma’s head bump against her hand and she looked down at him. ”Well, I suppose you can come too,” With one hand on the tiger youma’s head she made her way through the halls, skirting chunks of crystal and rock that had crashed down in the earthquake.
It didn’t take the pair long to stumble upon a group of officers surrounding a door. The door was definitely what she noticed first, the snarly energy signature coming from it not at all welcoming. Standing in the shadows the Lieutenant crouched down wrapping her arm around his neck before she gave him a push. ”This is no place for you,” the words were whispered, and said more out of a human worry than anything. The youma could go anywhere they wanted in the subspace, it was doubtful there was anything to hurt them there. The tiger youma paused, but then listened to her slinking back the way they had come.
Standing up Zanzziite watched as several officers tried the door without luck. It was after they had decided that no one else should touch the door that Zanazziite stepped out of the shadows, examining the door more closely. She didn’t get too close to it, not wanting to get thrown across the room like the others had. Violet eyes stared at the glowing markings to either side, before resting on the rather snarly face that crowned the door. How would it be opened? She wasn’t sure, maybe they weren’t supposed to open it, but if not then why was it there?
When Ilmenite pulled out the energy ball and started gesturing for them to get back it snapped her out of her examinations and she quickly backed up to stand with the others. From behind her glasses she watched the orb fly, waiting to see what would happen when it hit the door. Post By Felyn Alkaid's entire body tensed as she heard the Captain behind her say such a snide, hurtful thing. Her arm around Lyra's tightened and she squeezed her fingers against the other senshi's pale skin in an unspoken need for comfort. Then she felt his energy blip out of existence, back home or somewhere else where he could sulk like a child.
"I think I'm going to go home," she said lowly, to Lyra, though she offered Alunite a tight lipped smile. She didn't want to explain why, but she didn't think she needed to. They couldn't have missed such a thing and to her it was personal. She wanted to give the punk teenager a piece of her mind and, even if he wasn't home yet, she knew she would no longer be any good here. Her mind was fuzzy with anger and not likely to calm down until she had successfully made Hematite apologize.
"Good luck you guys," she offered to the other corrupts, blinking out of the negaspace and back home just before Ilmenite decided to try his luck with the energy ball. Post By endejester Zink moved backwards pulling Ilmenite with him till he rested closer to a wall, hopefully out of 'flying officer' range or trajectory... he even made sure to make sure there were no chunks of crystal that would skewer them if that echoing sound knocked pieces of this small haven free again. He glanced at Fluorite, and gave a small bob of his head inviting her to join him, likewise Fayalite and Alunite if they were interested. To Ilmenite he reached to touch a light hand to his arm and said only, and quietly. "Let them...sometimes it's better to walk than try to be heard... sometimes no one is ready to listen." He murmured just for the two of them. He had said his peace, as had Ilmenite, for now he thought contemplation might be the better option Post By Zero Dream Alunite tried to pretend the comment hadn't gotten to him. More than that, he did his best to pretend he hadn't even heard it.
It wasn't working so well.
This was the first time he actually heard a comment like that... and it hurt. The hurt was visible for a moment, when he looked at Alkaid again, abut then was gone a moment later, buried. "I'll take care of her." He smiled, but it didn't reach his eyes.
After all, he was a senshi. What did he know ? His gaze sought Painite, and then he looked away, holding Ammolite's hand in his own - more for his benefit than her's, really. It was probably for the best that Fluorite hadn't heard that, hadn't witnessed a thing of what had happened further back. Her eyes were carefully trailing Ilmenite's movement, worry apparent. "Be careful..."
She nodded back at the general, and followed along - turning back a moment, but was unable to spot her brother in the crowd, both his and Ammolite's tinier forms lost in the crowd. Post By Demy-Stardust "We will not be trying with a proper starseed." Schee's words were said in his usual excitable tone, but carried an underlying message of don't question me on this.
"The energy ball is something worth trying, but a starseed is far too valuable a resource to just be throwing at a door in hopes of it working. I will not throw a life, human or otherwise, away on such an unknown thing, and I don't particularly want to see anyone else do it too. Carry on with your attempts, but please don't start chucking starseeds at it."
The please was said only because that was the kind of guy Schee was. The statement, however, was an order.
His peace said, Scheelite sat perched on his rock to watch the energy ball from a good vantage point. Maybe, just maybe, this would work. Post By Lolli McHotpants Chromite had also been in the habit of hitching rides whenever she could to get herself to the subspace, as a lieutenant it was all she could do to be closer to what she was quickly associating with "home". There were no squishy thoughts attached, all the young girl knew was that she felt safe there. Untouchable. No matter how wrong she was. She'd been sitting alone, admiring her newest energy pearl stash, in what she could only associate with an abandoned hallway or alley way when she'd felt the energy source resonate through the walls, floors, and the core of her very self. It was unsettling and exciting at the same time. Making her way through the winding crystal and darkness, it took her some time before she found the door and the every growing crowd before it so at first she couldn't really tell anything was happening up front but for the voices. Not one to ever let other people or her own size stop her she twisted and wound her way to make it to the front to get a better view. A better view of an unknown Captain throwing a pearl of energy at the door. To seemingly little effect. As Scheelite(was that a new uniform?) made it clear he did not at all like the idea of wasting a life to also throw at the door she reached into her jacket pocket and pulled out one of the three starseeds stored there. She knew the rule now was to take energy, but she could never resist taking the starseeds of the worst victims she encountered. The ones that had taken more lives in a week then she ever would-- Holding it up in her hand she stepped forward timidly. "What about an evil life? May we use that?"Post By Lilwolfpard The comment had also scorched her, a feeling crawling up her spine like cold fingers. She barely had a moment to look up at Alkaid before she was gone, the feeling of her being there disappearing with her.... Turning her head back towards Alunite, she squeezed his hand too. He was not the only one whom needed comfort. She was glad she was not the only one standing there... else wise she too might have left, and probably sat somewhere and over thought things. "...Nice to know even now, when we are allies and would die for them, we still are scorned. It's not like its our fault we were born who we are..." It was whispered so that only Alunite would hear her, not wishing to share that comment with the world. Taking it almost like a formal summons, Fayalite found herself moving towards her general. She usually came along when ordered... sometimes. Well, in this instance, she would feel better if she was with familiar people. She gave a nod to Ilmenite, pondering his idea. "Ide be cautious if you did. I duno maybe the door will just fling it back at you, or do it 10 fold." Looking over she noticed a face she had not met before, but recognised the strength of the Aura as being that of a Captain. She made a nod towards the purple haired shorted female in greeting.
Fayalite did quirk an eyebrow in Scheelites direction, but being a Lieutenant... she really had no right to voice an opinion here. No matter how much she sometimes viewed humans as 'sheep' and a dime in a dozen if one was lost. Post By MoonKitsune Wolframite watched as the suggestion of an energy orb was a good idea, and had no problem when the same person even mentioned a crystal. They were resources after all, and if one could make a youma, then it had good use at being thrown at a door too. It's not like plenty of youma, made from starseeds, had been destroyed before, and if this door was important and there was a risk of not opening in time - in time for what he did not know - then he was willing to see it be given a shot. However, Scheelite did not. General Scheelite, as his title alone meant he could pull rank and probably was. If he said no, then no it was.
Still, there might be a way around it.
Wolframite moved over to the wall that Scheelite was watching, and watched as the orb was thrown, but spoke to the General. "If not a starseed and not at risk of our own lives, how about a youma? I could volunteer mine. He could try using his lance against it without injury to any officers." It was just an idea. If they were throwing everything but the kitchen sink, then maybe it was time to throw the kitchen sink. Post By Lithia_Brandon Captain Painite scratched the back of her neck. It seemed the door had them at a stalemate. How very odd of the inanimate object, to be so perplexingly unopenable. Wasn't it the purpose of doors to do exactly that? Open?
She was beginning to suspect foul play. This was not a door at all.
Spacing out, she missed a few things. She snapped back into the moment, noticing Ilmenite was drawing near, or at least near enough, to the door to throw something at it. She wandered a bit closer to him, to see what he was doing, glancing around to take stock of who remained and who had gone.
She glanced at Alunite and smiled softly, though he had already looked away. Maybe that was what gave her the opportunity for the expression. She saw Ammo being taken care of and kept safe. Painite hadn't seemed to catch Hematite's attitude, in her mental abstraction.
She loved her corrupted senshi buddies, after all. Aware of the tension or not, she moved to Alunite and Ammolite, putting her one arm around each of their shoulders as she watched Ilmenite toss the energy at the door. She was betting on another explosion of energy, or something equally as sinister, but she didn't know.
A quick turn of her head and she spotted Zanazziite, and then Chromite, enter the area. She shot them both a smile and a wave in turn. She frowned, though, at Chromite's words.
"A life is a life. A starseed is still as starseed: that remains a simple fact. I agree, with the General's order. I don't think we should be lobbing them around, but uh," she shrugged. She had her enemies, but she also knew that her enemies could become her friends. She understood killing, and fully intended on doing it when she needed to or if she wanted to. But she also had a strange respect for civilian lives, no matter how they chose to live it. If they were going to die by her hand, and she was sure they already had, then she wasn't going to judge them by what they had done in life. Just how she could use them, and how their lives helped her plans. Everything else was irrelevant. It was like judging a particularly evil or an absolutely angelic mouse before one feeds it to their boa constrictor.
A youma might have been a better idea, at least. Post By Lolli McHotpants Catching Painite's wave and smile, Chromite couldn't help but grin quickly in return. Though the words following turned her lips straight and she shrugged in return. "They're still resources are they not Captain? You're right that a life is a life and a starseed a starseed, but before that whomever this was happened to be a gang member. Had killed another human being before I could stop him myself and who knows how many before that." Again she shrugged and pocketed the seed. She was not in any place to argue, and put her hands up to denote that she'd said her piece. "Will a youma agree to it, though?" She didn't know how having your own personal youma worked but as far as she could tell they still had their own minds and personalities. "Aren't they the same as a human life, is using them any different?"Post By The Space Cauldron The moment the pearl touched the door, it froze. Like a tennis ball stuck to a velcro mit, it held fast for a moment, before it slowly began to sink into the surface, vanishing entirely. For a brief moment, the burning eyes glowed just a little brighter, and it seemed as though something might happen... ...until the door spit it violently back out, and the small orb went ricocheting about the room with a loud, echoing crack as it took out small chunks of stone here and there. Angry door was, in fact, very angry. Post By endejester "...Ilmenite...." Zink said after the orb finished slamming off the walls like a superball-bullet combination. "Perhaps you would like to share the suggestion that neither YOU nor ANYONE ELSE...throw anything MORE at that door. ESPECIALLY things that can become deadly projectiles." He turned a slow but meaningful and POINTED gaze at his Captain. PAGE 6 Post By Demy-Stardust "A starseed is a starseed, and they are resources yes. But I would rather see those resources put towards something we know to be constructive rather than a shot in the dark as it were. Energy is expendable, we all gather that every day. But starseeds are something we don't have the same abundance of, and some of our officers don't even collect them at -all- any more."
Scheelite, for one.
"'Evil' starseeds will be used like all other starseeds in our posession. Just not here, but I do understand what you mean Chromite."
Scheelite offered Chromite the warmest of smiles. She wasn't going to be chastised for her way of thinking, it was actually quite right! The General was just going to hold firm on this point. No lives were going to be wasted on his watch. To Painite he nodded, thankful for the agreement. With that he turned to Wolframite, considering his words.
"I couldn't ask you to use your youma against this...I have no idea what may happen and it would pain me to see something happen to your personal youma." Scheelite, after all, treated his youma like a best friend. "But it does sound very useful, and if you are willing to take the risk then I won't stand in your way."
Any further words were quickly cut off by the pinging ball of energy. Scheelite gave a startled "ACK!", before diving out of the way of the ball as it came towards him, and trying his best to put himself between the energy ping pong ball and those gathered around him to best protect them.
"OKAY...throwing things seems like a bad idea, yes?" Post By Lilwolfpard For a while the thing stuck to the door... did it work? The eyes...they seemed to glow... the energy went in? And then... before she could even recognize what was going on, SOMETHING came flying out of the thing. Without even waiting a moment, the senshi cried out "NEBULA GUARD", Her eternal power, In panic. A shield made of swirling particles popped up... starting around just herself and Alunite, and then it spread out a 10 foot diameter around her, surrounding anyone whom was close by within it. Other negas could walk in to the shield if they wanted to without harm. The orb pinged around the room.. before hitting the shield. Something which stuck in the walls of the shield, coming to a brief halt. After a few seconds the shield literally 'absorbed' the object. (Cleared that it would absorb the orb with stae! The shield absorbs anything magical that hits it.) Post By Lolli McHotpants It took everything in her power to swallow her pride, but if Scheelite and Painite agreed then she would too and bowed a little to both in response. Being praised, however the little bit, caused her face to brighten a considerable amount. A glow spread across her eyes that didn't fade even as the orb was spat back out and started taking chunks out of their surroundings before a corrupted senshi's shield absorbed it. Trying to catch the scout's eyes, Chromite mouthed a silent 'thank you' before turning her attention back to the door. "Wow," she said. "No more projectile offers from me."Post By endejester "Thank you Ammolite..." Zinkenite said looking pleased and surprised as the orb was absorbed into the shield. That was a new and delightful bonus. "I wonder how much that can absorb before breaking down... quite remarkable... quite... we might have to put that to the test some how." He nodded thoughtful, for a moment distracted by something that could be of clear long term value to them. How nice it was not to be on the wrong -side- of that shield as well. Post By MoonKitsune The moment the orb was hit and stilled, Wolframite felt that there was progress. At least the door was thinking about something, which mean they might be on the right road. Then, as if to say 'Hah! Just Kidding. Gotcha!', the door spit out the orb and sent it flying about like a mini cannon, sending bits and pieces of chipped crystal from the walls flicking about. Most everyone dived for cover, and Wolframite ducked down, covering his head and face as it jumped about. When at last it stilled and everyone was sure they could stand up without getting pummelled by the BB of a orb, Wolframite rose and breathed out.
"Well, it at least seemed to be thinking about the orb. Maybe we're on the right track?" And if it wanted energy, a starseed, or a creature made from starseeds, might be the way to go.
"I suggest that everyone move back a moment.......just in case." To which Wolframite stepped forward. "Aragwain, Come!"
A groan of metal sounded and with it a shadow collected before the Captain. Metal armor clinked over blackened, unnatural skin, and soon the imposing form of a knight in full armor appeared, towering over the small boy beside it. It rested down on one knee, the soft glow of it's green eyes wafting from under it's visor, in the hidden darkness of it's face. It arm was nothing more than a large lance, to which it rose. Clearly Wolframite had a reason to tell people to back away. If Aragwain was tossed, he could pierce someone.
Looking over to his youma, he frowned a moment. He rarely used the creature, but it had saved him from freezing to death in the river when Scylla's tentacle beast threw him under. However, in the end, it was still a youma, and it could be replaced. "Aragwain, walk to the door. If you can, touch it." No running. No charging. He just wanted to see if his youma could go near it.
A garbled grunt that confirmed it understood caused the knight to rise up from it's bowed position to it's feet, and it moved to approach the door.
"Unless you all want to get smashed against metal, I suggest you find a spot to behind a wall." Which was exactly what Wolframite was going to do. He only glanced over his shoulder a moment to wish his friend well, and if not, goodbye. When he left the room to look over the frame to the room, he waited with the rest.
Post By Zero Dream WHOAH DAMN.
Fluorite all but screamed like a little girl when the orb went right back for them, then flung herself toward the nearest body that was in the way and CLINGED.
...That body just happened to be Ilmenite. It took a moment before the captain noticed and let go. "No one got the s**t bowled out of them ?"
What girly scream ? There was never no girly scream.
Nope.
Fluorite didn't have any damn idea what you guys were talking about.
And how boy, now Wolframite (he looked so much better - thank god ! She would need to catch up...) went ahead with a youma of all thing. "Let's... get the hell away from here."Alunite's first reaction, when the offering-turned-projectile was fired off, was to turn to put himself in front of Ammolite - it looked like it wasn't needed, through, because soon they were surrounded by...
Stuff.
"...Holy s**t." That was what Ammolite could do ?! He couldn't help but feel a little lacking... on top of everything else. The orb pinged on the surface, but never seemed to ricochet. "I think... you got it ?" Post By Lithia_Brandon Painite nodded. She, for example, had never taken a starseed, from anyone. When she had joined the focus was just shifting to energy, and it quickly became her main focus. She had no need to take lives unless they served her plots, and she left the starseeds to the others.
She smiled and winked at Chromite, knowing she was just trying to help and, at least, admiring her for it. She knew Zanazziite would agree that sending a youma crashing into the door wasn't any better an idea than using a starseed.
She didn't agree, but she didn't have to.
"Geez!" She said in surprise, watching as the orb bounced around the room. She apparently had let her arms down from around the two senshi, though she hadn't noticed, sighing as the orb hit the barrier. She smiled, pleased.
"I think I'm done prodding the angry beast. I'll see you lot later," she said with a nod. Three thrown Negas and one projectile later, she imagined the door would open when it wanted to open, and not a moment before. Had to respect a piece or architecture that knew what it wanted. She waved to everyone, then teleported away. Maybe to go walk through a door that actually liked her. Post By and be blue Ilmenite made a noise -- he wouldn't call it a yelp -- and ducked and covered when the energy came back toward him. Distracted as he was, he didn't notice Fluorite's clinging -- or, at least, didn't comment on it. For now. He might have been struck, if not for Lyra's shield. He lifted his eyes to stare at the thing just as it collided with the borders of her magical spell... And then he cleared his throat, looking to Zink, instead. He was a little bit flushed, somewhere between afraid and embarrassed, but he fought his way through it. A grin, helpless, was his way of dealing with the problem. "Yell at me more, General." He didn't wink, but it was a close thing, and his tone was inappropriately warm. Post By Demy-Stardust "Thank you Ammolite!" How -wonderful- it was to not have to worry about her attacks any more. He had spent so much time on the wrong side of her attacks that it was amazing to have one working on his side finally. That shield? Definitely useful.
Scheelite remained where he was, watching as Wolframite's youma came into being (wow, that was a pretty impressive looking one!) and the orders were given. The General was going to feel horrible if something happened to the knight creature, but the youma was Wolframite's to command and no one else's. The blonde would just worry about what he could, which was the safety of everyone gathered.
"Kay guys, you saw what happened when the ball hit the wall. So, listen to Wolframite and get back. Now. Finding cover is a definite! MOVE!"
The General stayed put on his rock, using the vantage point to watch the others and be sure they moved back to find cover. Like hell he was going to go hide when a member of the family could still potentially be hurt. Post By Lilwolfpard The shield still up, she stared at the spot the energy had once been... to see it gone. She felt her shield thrum a little, but nothing more. It was short lived as well though as the threat seemed to be away. She was red, embarassed in her moment of panic that she had brought the shield up. Looking up, she saw that Alunite had stepped infront of her as well. Remembering back to what Alkaid taught her... she took in a deep breath, sighed, and the shield came down. The longer it was up.. the longer it drained her. She had yet to test the shield to its full capacity. Still, she swayed a little. Making a grab for the Senshi's fuku, which she now just realized was different, to steady herself. "...I think so too. It seems to be gone...at least." Looking over at Zinkenite and then to scheelite, she gave a small smile at them both. At least, while accidental, she did SOMETHING right. Eyes turning back to Alunite, she still clung to him to steady herself. "I think im going to bail too... im too tired to be able to pull up another one of those shields if needed." Looking around, she hoped she wouldnt need to use the shield again... though she eyed Wolframites youma warily. Scary things, those youma were. Even if they were on their side. Maybe she should stick around more just in case... Post By endejester A pause... a few rapid blinks... and then the red appeared, racing up over the edge of his mask and a sharp hiss of "Ilmenite!!" followed by a quick punch in the arm. he Did lean forward slightly to look over at Fluorite. "...you alright there?" He added quietly.. "Grab your brother, I think we've seen everything we need to, I'll take us out before they bring the ceiling down.... experiments are fine but, I think I might rely on the information chain for -this- one." Post By Lilwolfpard Fayalite looked at zink curiously. "...Eeer hey boss, would you mind i bum a ride if your leaving, too? I uhm... cant do that yet and no offense, no matter how curious i am about that door, ide rather not be near it just in case it DOES open and im the only one around.... no matter if it is just bunnies behind it. I bet those bunnies would eat faces off." Plus if she didnt hitch a ride, she would be stuck alone in the sub space.
And she would b***h up a storm other wise. So she would have to hitch a ride before all the ones able to left. Post By Lolli McHotpants Chromite paused and then backed up immediately upon her Captain's youma standing to move towards the door. Following Wolframite around a corner she peeked out around him to watch but wasn't sure she could handle watching a youma possibly sacrifice itself for the sake of experimentation. Frowning she ducked back around the wall and closed her eyes. She didn't know who to pray to but she prayed that 1) nothing happened to the youma and that 2) if it did it didn't kill them all in the process. Post By Zero Dream "What ? Im perfectly fine." She coughed. No girly screaming. Nope.
It was probably way retarded of an idea, but she couldn't help it - curiosity might kill the cat, in this case, but she needed to see this trainwreck in motion.
And well, made sure Schee didn't end up bowled by a flying youma.
"You grap Alunite - he's more of what you need, anyway." She said with a nod. "I'll just hide somewhere and make sure no one gets hurt."Ammolite was all but clinging to him, but he didn't seem to mind. Much. He was still looming over her like a big brother might have - even through her real big brother was, ironically, taking care of Alunite's baby sister.
Funny how the world turned.
"I dunno, I think bailing is looking like a good idea..." Post By and be blue Ilmenite was still grinning when he looked up at Wolframite and Scheelite. He rubbed briefly at his arm, shoulders hiked in a quick absent shrug. He wasn't moving just yet, even with the after-image of ricocheting energy pearl still burned into his vision. His expression was bright, curious. It seemed he thought this was, well, fun. At least a little bit. It was interesting."...I kind of want to stay and watch..." He raised an eyebrow at Zink as he looked back down at him, and it looked like he was serious. Not hard to convince him otherwise, but he was serious. PAGE 7 Post By endejester Zinkenite reached up and tugged Ilmenite's ear. "Maybe you can come back Later captain, Alunite, Faya... everyone else... be safe I'll return later to check in on the chaos." He gave a small bow, and, taking those who wished to leave with him... vanished for now. Post By Lilwolfpard Lyra used all the people leaving as a cue as well, and gave a bit of a weak smile at Scheelite, Fluorite, and Wolframite. "Sorry guys, im just too tired." Alunite now gone, as well as a bunch of other officers, so she did not feel AS bad leaving... the ones here now could very well take care of themselves. "I might be back later guys." A final wave, and she too teleported out of the room. Post By Demy-Stardust More people were leaving, but it wasn't in a huff like Hematite had left earlier so Scheelite didn't feel as bad. While this was something the entire Negaverse family should be witnessing (how often did the world's creepiest door pop up in the middle of your home?), he was a bit thankful the room was thinning out both in bodies and energy signatures. Less people standing around meant less ricochet damage should the knight youma be tossed as easily as the ball of energy, and less energy signatures meant he could think just a little bit better. The door itself gave off such massive energy that the others milling around had clogged up his mental map.
Scheelite bit his lip a bit as Zinkenite and those with him teleported out. With Zink gone he didn't really have someone to look to for leadership (in his mind Zink was still his general, even if he was a general too), which left him in an awkward spot until he made the decision to shake it off and do his best.
He could do this!
The General continued to watch from his perch, nodding to those who teleported out and grinning as others found cover. Good! They'd be safe!
"Okay guys if you haven't found cover yet, do it now." Scheelite finally moved as well, abandoning his original perch to move back a considerable amount and find a new one. He wasn't going to hide behind a wall, just in case someone didn't heed the warning and needed him. Post By Lucifer Force "Hmm, well isn't this very menacing?" Carnelian was standing in the background, more content to watch others and their reaction to whatever on earth that awful door was all about. Somehow, he didn't feel like any of this really concerned him, though he did see some people he recognized. The redhead leaned against a pillar in the darkness and idly braided his hair, wondering what the decoration was for. Who were all these people? He'd seen them in passing, but didn't have names for them. He'd slowly learned that everything had an energy signature, and the pulse the door gave off was nothing short of invasive. Green eyes narrowed. Carnelian wasn't the type to resort to physicality when it came to solving problems - especially after the disastrous consequences of messing with the door. Nope, he'd just sit back and watch. Plus it meant that he wouldn't get his lovely coat dirty. Oh how he loved the coat. Post By Marsh the Sex Panda Petalite slipped her arm out of the male Captain’s giving him a flirty smile. ”Thanks for the ride, maybe I can return the favour sometime.” She winked as she sashayed away from the blonde. He had been cute or else she wouldn’t have flirted with him in the first place, but she had no intention of acting on her words. She was, well she wasn’t with Blake, but they were sleeping together and he was a handful enough.
She had come to the sub space to turn in the energy orbs nestled between her breasts, giving her skin a green glow. Ever since Linarite had shortened her name to Lina Team Sex Bomb didn’t have a leader and so she had to turn in her energy directly. Thinking of her cousin made her pause her breath hitching. The pain of losing her closest friend had dulled, but it was still there.
Once she had pushed the pain deep inside she started walking again, no trace of it on her face. The next time she paused it was because she felt a huge energy signature that she’d never felt before. Cocking her head to the side she followed it curious. Without Li- well, she just wasn’t as well informed as she used to be.
Coming to the chamber she paused seeing officers hanging out outside it, a couple inside, and a youma at a large, menacing looking door. ”What’s going on?” One hand was on her hip as she looked for a familiar face, but her sapphire eyes found none. She hadn’t made many, she hadn’t had to when Li- well, she just hadn’t had to before. It occurred to her that maybe she should start working on making connections, they could come in handy. Post By Random Artist The emergence of a pink head peeking out was nothing new .. But not the most discreet either, ifone considered, Serandite's colors made her stand out like a stop light within the dismal walls of the negaverse.
The door being especially dismal in colors. But it was an angry door. Still, angry door lacked color.
"The door." Serandite answered the blue haired Lieutenant, whispering, as if the door would burst a pair of arms any moment to silence their whispering. When it seemed like an explanation might follow afterwards, there was only silence. In the following (and silent) moments, the conclusion that even the General didn't know anything about said door would soon become apparent.
"It's a really impressive and lethal door." Serandite whispered, her long kimono sleeves and ribbon nearly reaching the ground with her half-kneeling position, as if trying to hide from the door. But the smile on her face could tell anyone around, Serandite was having fun with the door. Gleeful fun! This was the first adventure the negaverse subspace would have-- whether it was the first of many or the last had yet to be determined. Post By Zoomutt It was too bad by the time Torbernite actually arrived, the spectacle was most likely old news at best. Not that he knew of course, or had any ounce of an idea what was going on. From the way time flowed for him, the door had always existed here and he was just out of the loop. Again.
As Serandite mentioned the magical word again, he did his best to casually slide from the shadows. There might have been a few bumps and the occasional scuffling of shoes sliding against the flooring involved: it was casual sliding, okay?
"Yes, it is indeed, a door." The pink-haired negaverse general seemed to know what she was talking about which meant, of course, that he should have had a clue of what it was. He gave one one-hundredth of the door his greatest scrutiny. It was rocky, he guessed. "It is a very impressive, lethal, and rocky door." A pause. "Full of mystery."
The urge stop himself from waving his hands in the air back and forth was barely contained. Post By Syusaki Fukalite was new, painfully new. When she entered, the lieutenant was startled to realize that a door had spat out some object that bounced across the walls, flinging small chips of stone. She flinched, protectively shielding her face with her arms, but was fortunate to remain unscathed. Hesitantly, Fukalite peered between her fingers and glanced around the room for any familiar faces. She softly laughed to herself. She hadn’t really met any other Negaverse agent except for that odd general—Scheelite? There was no way she would recognize anyone else. Scheelite’s obnoxious glow was blatantly obvious, but everyone else was a fresh face to her.
Reluctantly, she inched toward the only person she knew at the moment. As amusing as it was to see the human glowstick again, the aura—wait, wait, that’s its energy signal, right? Ugh, being new could be really frustrating—that door was giving off did not bode well with Fukalite. “I’m assuming something is funky with this door, since everyone is herding around here,” she mumbled.
She quirked an eyebrow at the white-haired captain. “Yes. ‘Full of mystery’ is a wonderful way to put it.” Her grin made it difficult to discern whether she was being sarcastic or oddly amused.
