(A bit more challenging than making a Gorillaz-inspired avatar, eh?)
I'm thinking of getting a house once I finish my current quest, and I want it to be Gorillaz- themed. It would be really easy to copy Noodle's room (which is essentially all the Honorable housing items) but I want to do something a little more creative.
So....I'm going to try and recreate 2D's room!
Here's my reference picture:
And here are some items I might get to try and recreate the room.
For some aspects, I had to get a little creative. Instead of strobe lights, for example, I might use lamps with red, yellow, green, and blue bulbs. And instead of walls tiled in keyboards, I'll just buy a piano.
Give me suggestions, tell me if you think this could work, and discuss other ways to pimp out your Gaia house to tribute the 'rillaz.

Ooooh, neat. Awesome idea. Me, I could never do that. My house is full of crap and I'd rather save up my gold for my avvi. So I can have a lot of different outfits. 'Cos I'm a weirdo like that. Yep. But that is a great idea, can't wait to see the finished product!
And maybe you can get some undies to throw around the place. 3nodding

i'm trying to do Noodle's. (the one on the website, not the pimped on on Cribs). as you can see (?) it's not going to well. but i'm just starting...

My house is rejected and forgotten. It might be a good idea to fix it up...And actually put something in it for a change. I like the Gorillaz room idea. I think I'll attempt Noodle's room at some point. 3nodding

Here's a pic of how my room's coming out so far:
And in my mind, it doesn't resemble 2D's room at all.
(DAMN GAIA FOR NOT LETTING YOU HAVE PLAIN BLACK WALLS)
So...I might scrap doing 2D's room, in favor of the tower scene in Feel Good Inc. or the inside of Murdoc's Winnebago.
Then again, I might just make my house a "bachelor pad"-type look.

hmm...i'm thinking of scrapping Noodle's room and going for a Russel-ish one. i do like his room, and matte wall tiles are cheap...
UPDATE! damn factori isn't working, so this is all i have so far.
i'm using some of the honorable stuff left over from the Noodle-room idea as interim stuff until i can get my yellow steelframe bed and things...but i think it looks somewhat like his...
