In middle school me and my friend where in class together well this new girl came in and instantly i felt something more for her then i had felt for any other girl. (to this day only one other girl has given me that feeling) So i told him how i felt for her. Not two months later she became single. When i was working up the courage to ask her out he asked her. They lasted about 6 months and since then she has continually promised me a chance but each time she finds someone else. Now we are both 20 and she is back with my friend from middle school. I just need to find a way to stop feeling anything but friendship for her i have had 4 friends try to help and none have been able to help. So someone please help i still want to be friends with both of them but i become depressed when i see them together.

Idk if I can offer much help, but I know how you feel. Twice that it's happened to me. It's still like that for one of them. But the thing is is with both the guy wasn't my friend. But I was good friends with both of the girls. The only thing I can say is try and be happy for them and if you have to put on a fake smile in front of them. The way I got over one is to realize the situation and come to terms that I need to be happy for them. It's working for the other one but it takes time though.

You know what you do? You go out, get a job, meet new people, and become surprised when you find out that your dad's best friend from elementary school who still works with him at the airport has a mom who was also very good friends with your grandma despite the fact that your dad and your mom split up when you were 2 and have had very few instances of contact since.
