I've been invited, multiple times now, to do this

Decided I'm going to buckle down and try and figure out payments somehow.
Not sure how but I REALLY want to.

Have to contact my high school band director and get his permission to use him as a ref tomorrow and then I'm going to call and see if there are any scholarships available (we can all hope, yes?) and then I'm going to send in the app and pray to the heathen gods that I get accepted c:

It seems like a really fun trip and I REALLY want to go.
I've just started getting back into band again and this seems like the perfect way to stay motivated.

Bass clarinet <3

But it ends up I'm not going.
Sat down and did the math earlier today and there's no way I can get the $4k-ish I'll need to cover everything involving the trip x.x
Might even end up being more than that. I'll try and go to China some other day.

We have 1 bass clarinetist in our whole school (that I know of xD)
aww.. you have to pay it all yourself? could your parents chip in a little?

okay, I don't feel bad about not going on a $6k school trip to Europe anymore..... (since I don't have a job or anything, it would have been all down to parents... >_>")

If my parents could chip in, I'm sure they would but right now it's just not really an option. Neither of them have a job and my mum is still in school.
My sister's the only one in the family with a job and even then it's part time x.x
