Azzo was sitting there in the rolly chair. Last night had been hell and the morning wasn't starting out much better. After pissing off Aurora and Zia, Azzo had found himself wondering until the rain stopped and then Haley needed help. Thank god Aurora didn't see that...
Ha'd garnished a few bruises and scratches from the youma. Though a new senshi was on their side and he had basically debriefed her before the sun came up. Now he was back in the rolly chair looking pathetic. Trying to figure out how to fix things that he'd screwed up here.
To make matters worse Aurora was probably going to yell at him for having a fought a youma. Granted he was hoping that wasn't the case but unsure of how mad the girl might be he had a strong suspicion of what might come. However, he was in no mood to wake anyone, he still wasn't hungry and to top it all off he almost didn't want to move form the chair until he was damn sure he was out of the dog house. Granted he'd set up the tent while waiting for everyone as well, at least that should've been the only youma around.

She had been less than pleased when she found out that he'd run off the night before. Into the exact same rainy night he'd been so insistant about her not being in. It was infuriating.. he was being so selfish. But then maybe she had been being selfish too. To care so very much about her own day being ruined.
She'd spent a very long time thinking about it while she sat and waited for him to return. An entire encylopedia of emotions filled the 18 year old girl in soft succession. Anger for him wrecking everything. Guilt.. for having caused such a fuss for Zia and making Azzo upset enough to go out into the wet and cold night. Worry when he didn't return even as hours passed. Jealousy.. Depression.. Irritation... and loneliness.
In the end it had been loneliness as her eyes slowly crept closed the later and later it got. When he returned he found her on the small couch, asleep where she had been waiting for him. And there she remained fairly out all night. The occassional dream stirred her, but she was physically and emotionally exhausted enough that she never woke up fully.
Not until far later in the morning then she usually did. A soft and small whine escaped her as her back protested the hours of poor posture, her eyes beginning to open gently. It took her a moment realize where she was.. not home or even anyplace familar.. just on a couch.. in a cabin.. and Azzo. Had he even made it back!? She couldn't believe she'd fallen asleep.
She scurried up from the couch as quickly as her still half asleep body would allow it. Luckily she didn't have to luck long, Azzo was there, sitting in the chair Zia had been in when they'd first arrived.
She didn't know how to feel.. so after a moment she offered lightly. "Good morning..." It had yet to dawn on her that she might look like hell.. hair probably a mess after drying in her sleep and dress all winkled, her makeup rubbed off somewhere in the night.

Azzo had been half-dozed when Aurora woke up. The whine he hadn't reacted to because Merlin did that often when he was having a bad dream. Though the Good morning made him look up. His hair wasn't even in it's 'natural' shape having been washed down and dried it looked like a mess so even with Aurora looking like hell he didn't seem to be bothered by it.
He probably looked worse because anyone could see the youma claw marks and the bruising from the fight. "Mmmhmm..." He started off with before yawning. His honey brown eyes look at her almost sadly, "You could've slept in my bed upstairs... it would've been more comfortable."
He looked a bit concerned that she had actually been sleeping on the couch. "I'm sorry for leaving last night. I had to clear my head..." He muttered softly.

"I was waiting for you... I was worried.." She replied softly. She hadn't even considered staying in his bed. It was a strange notion.. one that probably only would have made things worse in her own head.
Yawning softly behind her hand, she moved in closer, getting ready to suggest that he sleep a little longer. Until she noticed the obvious wounds that littered his bare skin.
Her eyes narrowed, voice stern. "What.. did you do?"
Had he really went out and got himself hurt while she sat around in the cabin doing nothing!?

Azzo nodded softly, "I can see that..." He sighed with a shake of his head, "I'm sorry though, I'm just not use that reaction when I introduce you to friends."
He frowned slightly until she asked him what he did. There was a long pause as he looked at her, "Well.... this youma was chasing someone. I don't even know where it came from we haven't had any out here until that one showed up. I couldn't just leave her to die, and well I don't have a way to contact you or Zia so I couldn't call for backup." He was leaving the new senshi part out of it and the fact that this new senshi was a girl... he frowned, "I couldn't let an innocent person be hurt by it." Yeah he was waiting for her stack to blow.

Her heart skipped a beat as he spoke, the words crashing like a hammer against her fragile emotions. It was her fault apparently.. and not only that.. he was willing to say it outloud that it was her fault. To blame her. It was HER reaction to Zia that had caused what happened last night according to him.
And worst of all... she was ashamed to admit that she believed it atleast partially. Why did she have to get so scared over what Zia potentially was to Azzo? She had thought she'd been over it. All that jealousy that had eaten at her before.. apparently it'd all come streaming back.
She was supposed to be happy, enjoying the wonders of love and romance.. and instead she was getting jealous.. paranoid. She was horrible. So horrible she'd run him off and then almost lost him thanks to some stupid youma.
The tears began to well in her eyes as he recounted the events of the night. Azzo... perfect knight and protector of all that was good.
Aurora.. selfish, jealous, b***h who ran him out into the dark.
She couldn't take it. Her eyes turned from Azzo to save him the sight of her tears.. and when she realized that were was no stopping them, she burst through the door to the outside. She had no clue where she was going, but it didn't matter. Aurora ran out into the woods, intent on running until she couldn't anymore.

Azzo watched as she bust into tears, "Aurora..." He started softly and all too late she was running out the door, damnit he'd had enough running for one night and in an instant he was after her. As Niflhel, running through the woods before catching up and darting around her to catch her quickly changing back.
"Oh come on Ice princess." He cooed pulling her too him, "I don't want to play chase. Everything's fine now." He stood there holding her, he might've slipped out on her but he wasn't going to let her run out on him. He looked at her, "Look at me please." He asked softly, honey brown eyes watching her.

White braids bobbed against her back as she 'ran'.. her tear filled eyes and pretty but quite unforest worthy sandals making her path wavy and indirect. She didn't get far.. the cabin was still visable through the trees in fact when Niflhel caught her. She didn't attempt to fight it, instead simply sobbing into his arms as he shifted from Niflhel to Azzo once more.
Why couldn't it have just been like this last night she found herself thinking. Why couldn't he hold her last night instead of yelling and insulting himself and running into the night? Ughh.. she was being totally selfish again. Her night ruined, HER night.
She wouldn't oblidge him her eyes, tears still falling too freely from them. Instead her forehead pressed against his chest, wailing softly. "I should just go home."
"This is.. it's not fine. I'll just run, it won't take that long.. I'll be home before dark" Her voice hitched in her chest between words and sobs.

Azzo frowned as she wailed, before shaking his head. "No... you're not going anywhere." He said firmly, keeping her there. Pulling them over to a tree so he had something to lean on to keep from falling over. He was exhausted.
He rested his chin on her head, "You're not going anywhere as upset as you are." He whispered closing his eyes. "I ruined this, and I'll find a way to make it up to you, but please stay." He frowned softly, "I can stay in the tent and you and Zia can have girl time and fun, you can even steal my room. I'm sure though she has all sorts of make up and stuff you can work with and there's a working shower." He shifted slightly, sighing.

She let herself be lead, taking solace in the warmth of his breath. But she had to try very hard not to bump his chin with her head when he claimed he had ruined it.. and tried to fix it by offering her time with Zia..
Zia had seemed nice enough and all.. but.. but..
She was atleast composing herself enough to speak.. that was good atleast. "I didn't come up here to have girl time Azzo. I came up here thinking I was going to have you. Undivided time with you without having to share any of it with senshi stuff.. or other people.. or worries or anything."
"I know now that that was asking a bit a too much." Who was she kidding.. she was being absolutely prepubescent in her dreams of being swept off her feet. Of campfire cuddles and romantic star gazing just them and the woods.
"I'm sorry that I was acting so selfish. That I'm being so terrible.." How was it that something as wonderful and good at love could bring out such horrible things in people?

Azzo looked at her as she spoke and chuckled, "Yeah but I figured I was in the dog house for messing up or something... I mean after all there's still sorta the whole Job thing."
He kissed her forehead with a small frown, "You're not being terrible." He said with a sigh as he looked at her, frowning, "Apparently I'm terrible 'cause I was the one that got the shoe." He chuckled half-heartily.

The sweet affection reminded Aurora of just how close they were and she found a soft warmth spreading across her cheeks as she leaned against him, working on sniffling the last of her tears away.
Sorry. They'd both said their sorries, whoever was in the wrong really didn't matter much anymore. At his mention of shoes, she frowned a little, eyes lifting to look over his battle injuries now that she was this close.
Her fingers lifted, coming to hover over the largest scratch. "Does it hurt..?"
Sighing heavily, the sort of sigh that people gave when they figuratively pushed a heavy weight off of themselves, she asked softly. "Maybe we can try again...? Now that the rain is gone" Both literally and figuratively.

He looked at his arm, "Eh not right now. We should probably clean those out and dress them though. Before they get infected iunno what sort of germs youma dust has."
He nodded softly "Yes, still though you'll occasionally have to hang out with other people if ranger business comes up." He looked at her, "I wouldn't want you having to work when you're suppose to be here having fun, deal?"

It wasn't a compromise she wanted to make.. but it was one that she was willing to be a big girl and make. Like it or not she was going to have to share. And it was far better to make the best of it and glean the tiny little moments she could.. then just give it all up because it wasn't exactly what she hoped.
"Let's go clean it up and us up a bit then."

Azzo nodded as he walked inside with her to clean up his wounds then let her have the bathroom. He let her fuss over them as she wanted as he was much too tired to care though. Watching her carefully as he let her do the dressing.
"When we're finished I'll let you have the shower, and I'll get cleaned up afterwords."
