Camp had been in swing now for nearly a full week, and some of the children were getting restless. The number of pranks and tricks committed had skyrocketed over the last couple of days, and after finding her office space completely devoid of pens with ink cartridges, Adira had had quite enough! With a little bit more force than necessary, a new sign up sheet was slapped to the wall. More than a few heads turned in the mess hall as she stomped out, and the one or two that were curious enough to look at the sheet that had been posted whispered excitedly. The news of the newest event spread like wildfire through the camp, one that the forest rangers could not even hope to put out.
A waterballoon fight had been staged to take place at camp! The days passed since the notice was posted, and when the time came about most of the children attending camp had shown up at the given time and place to participate in the Grand WaterBattle Royale. Most were dressed in the same attire as they would be to swim, expecting to get wet. Joining the eager faces of somewhat tired children, were the eager faces of the counselors, both juniors and seniors, eager for a bit of fun themselves. Even though children still yawned and rubbed their eyes quite a bit, they still mustered the energy to look excited. There were several large tubs stacked at the end of the field that no one had been brave enough to touch, as well as what looked like water balloon filling stations on the side of the mess hall, complete with empty buckets and garden hoses.
At the appointed time, Adira walked out of the office carrying a large tub of bandannas, a clipboard, and looking a bit out of place in only wearing shorts and a plain black t-shirt. Even though she had set up the event, she was not exactly planning on participating.
Setting everything down near the closed tubs, Adira jumped up onto the top of them and stared down at the sizable crowd beneath her. "This waterballoon fight will be executed cleanly and with regard to RULES." A few groans and muffled voices were heard, and she ignored them, explaining the rules of the event.

IC Rules:
No hitting, punching, kicking, or physical confrontation of any sort.
No throwing anything but waterballoons, filled to capacity.
You must always display your colors upfront, no switching sides.
No going outside of the bounds of the mess hall area.
No tomfoolery, trickery, or sore egos.
OOC Rules:
Only those signed up can participate.
Unfortunately, no switching teams to be on the same side as others. Sides have been chosen for keeping things balanced between older and younger participants. If you can't be on the same team as your friends, have fun throwing balloons at them!
PLEASE POST EITHER THE ENTIRE POST OR AT LEAST ONE WORD IN THE COLOR YOU HAVE BEEN ASSIGNED! This keeps it so much easier to track- so either a little thing at the bottom that says 'team red' or whatever would be great.
How the Game Works:
Each participant will be in one of two groups, either Red or Black.
Each team will have 100 points.
Each water balloon thrown, if hit, will deduct 4 points from the opposite team.
When you throw a balloon, you must roll a 4-sided die. if it is a 2 or a 4, your balloon has hit! If it is a 1 or a 3, it has exploded on the ground.
You can throw a water balloon at a specific person to rile them up, but it won't have any affect on point totals to target a person or the team. You don't need to be thrown at specifically to ICly play being hit by water balloons. Theoretically, almost the whole camp is here! There are lots of water balloons being tossed about.
If you don't wish to throw water balloons, you can make them! Each post dedicated to making water balloons will add 1 point to the overall team total. You cannot make and throw in the same post.
FOR NOW, you may only post every 5th post made by others. So you post, and then wait until 5 other posts have been made in between. This may change if people become less active at the end to a time based interval. The winning team is the team who holds out the longest! First team to lose all of its points loses. TWO free summer civilians (alternate civ pics) will be given out at this event, one will be randomized from those who participated on the winning team, and the other from the losing! They will only be drawn from those who participate in the event however- those who post less than what is needed for it to count as a growth requirement will not be included in the final count (450 words!). Please note that since these are alternate images, you must have an existing character in the shop to receive one!Please note that all rules are subject to change as the game continues on, in order to both keep it fair and also not lasting forever.

Participants and Teams:Those listed in Red are on team red, those listed in black are on team black. You can assume that your participant has been given bandannas in their teams colors. After the two teams had been lined up on their respective sides, and had been given the premade water balloon tubs, Adira stood on the sidelines.
"On your mark..."
Everyone at this point who could get to the front lines had a water balloon in their hands.
"Get set...GO!"
And with that, a very colorful first volley in the Grand Water Battle Royale had begun!

Lily grinned in shorts and a swim suit top, her camp counselor shirt tied around her waist and a red bandana tied around her arm. She was ready for this. It would be like training. Target practice for when she had to throw things at youma and negaversers, only with no danger and lots of water on a hot summer day.
She gave a wave to her friends on the other side and then Adira gave the go ahead and the water balloon fight was on.
Lily ducked away to avoid a stray water balloon from a random camper on the other team, then grabbed on of her own. She hoisted the giggly thing up and gave it a toss at a member of the black team desperately hoping it would hit. They were going down. The red team would win for sure!

If she had access to war paint Aitana would have doned herself up in it. She had been incredibly excited about the activity when it had been mentioned, and now as it was getting ready to go Aitana waited with baited breath. Her eyes searched the crowd for red and black, noticing certain familiar faces on both side.
She didn't wait too long, almost the moment the GO was shouted Aitana wound back her arm and heaved her her water balloon as fast and hard as she could at the nearest red player.

It was too bad, Eve had thought with a grimace, that Lucy was on the same team as her. Her red bandanna tied around her arm matched her red swimsuit accompanied by a pair of black shorts. Or perhaps! She could steal one water balloon and throw it at him after it was all over.
For now it was time to battle!
"Come on, Lord Boring!" She laughed, readying the water balloon in her hand for a pitch. "Let's get a victory for Team Red!"

Paris had been avoiding water related activities as much as possible. Whatever his reason for it was, he was a bit tired of doing mostly crafts and it was a hot day, so he’d permitted himself this bit of water fun. He’d get soaked mostly likely, and he was still in a skirt and blouse and not a bathing suit, but it was just water balloons. He didn’t see much of a problem.
Not bothering to target anyone just yet, he lobbed a balloon over to the players on the red team in the hopes that it was strike someone at random.

Since the announcement, Sam could barely contain himself waiting this day. The kid , though previously very tired, was too excited to stay still. Water sports were always amazing, but this was like dodgeball with water; instead of being hit with a hard ball he could pelt people with water until everyone was soaked. Picking up his weapon, Sam ran around the field looking for the best target.

This was -so- not something he normally would have signed up for but he'd come out here to try to be mroe social right? What could be better for that than getting drenched by hose water by kids?
....Okay that didn't sound as good as he'd originally thought. It should still be fun though. All the kids who'd signed up seemed excited and he'd even gotten into the spirit of things a bit. At least if nothing else it would be a good respite from the heat.
So he'd tied his bandana around one arm and was guarding the filling station for the balloons. He would probably be really bad at throwing so he figured he would be nice and help replenish the supply of ammo when he could.
As the fight kicked off he worked on making more balloons as the ones in the pile near his feet were picked up.

Jenna couldn't believe they were having this fight indoors! Her parents would have freaked out if she'd ever tried such a thing, these kinds of things were for the out doors. So finding out where it was being played Jenna had whooped with joy and made sure she was in clothing her mother wouldn't mind getting wet, and sneakers rather then flip flops.
With the Go given Jenna went to get a balloon so she could throw it at the opposing side. Grinning and smiling brightly as she did so, nothing would bring her down - not even the lack of energy she'd been suffering lately. Throwing said balloon she took the time to watch where it was going.

TEAM RED YO!
Castille wore her red bandanna over her arm, and it matched the red polka dot tank top she had on with her jean shorts. The water balloon fight had stirred up quite a large amount of excitement, and most of the camp was here.
As the kids lined up, Castille looked at her team. Talia was on it, and she gave a quick wave to her. Then sh looked at the opposing side, and gave a fake grimace to Aitana. When they said go, she was ready with a water balloon!

Ahhhh, she'd put just a little too much umph into that first one and it splattered to the ground sending a spray of water harmlessly upwards. She'd have to aim better this time!
Aitana noticed Castille just as she let go of her balloon, raising her arms to take the brunt of the force as it hit and burst into water. Laughter rang from the brazilian girl before she picked up another balloon, heaving it at her volleyball teammate with a playful roar.

Team Red
Istas squeaked as she worked on dodging water balloons. She was lucky Ridley was on her team. "Ridley!" She called having grabbed a water balloon. Running over towards her pal, the red bandana she'd been given was used to try to keep her hair protected. Though it was hard to do with pigtails.
"Should we tag team?" She smiled looking towards Sam before lobbing the water balloon hoping to hit someone and not mess up.
