Dark Tide was observing the pretty fish in his pond. One he had named "River" because it reminded him of himself and the other gray one he had named "Ion" because it reminded him of his brother. He had not found one yet that reminded him of Opal. He would have to wait until a few ventured out from the deep end. His fish were so peaceful and quiet. They didn't squish you out of your sleeping place and they didn't bug you when you were tired. He sighed. Maybe i could turn Dark Ion into a fish. My life would be quieter and there would be less competition for mares. Hmmm how did dark magic work? Did he believe in magic? Oh well at least Opal made a nice sister. She told it too him straight. He would have to ask her about finding a mare to settle down with. Too bad she was taken. Tide poked the water with a hoof and the fish scattered. All except River who was the most used to his presence by the pond. Horses didn't eat fish anyway so they had no cause to worry.

Genevieve quietly walked around the lands, her golden eyes were looking towards the clouds with an odd look. She was over thinking, how far did the sky take you? How come it changed at night? Her braided tail dragged behind her, she was quick to make sure that she wasn't to drag it into the dirt to much, she didn't wish to have it cleaned again. She was often worried about her bow being taken, it was her most favored thing she owned. She smiled widely, her head still in the clouds, before she knew it she was walking towards a river, with a black and white stallion also standing there. She smiled brightly, "Oh my, I am terribly sorry if I am inturrupting something! My greatest amount of pardons!" The mare took a look into the pond before looking back at the stallion with a smile.

"Nothing to worry about ma'am we won't really disturb the fish much with your pleasant voice to sooth them." Tide said. Wow was she pretty. And.. she had a lovely yellow bow in her tail. It matched her eyes. Wow yellow eyes! Was he thinking "Wow" too much. "Thats a lovely ribbon ma'am it brings out your eyes. Although I prefer my main and tail free range." He flicked his long mane for emphasis.

She smiled wide, he was as freindly as she had hoped! Her golden eyes quietly looked at him, her eyes catching at his bright green necklace. His flirtation made her giggle ever so slightly, "Oh my, quite the silver tongue you have there!"
Her pure white ears flicked to the sound of his voice, walking closer to the pond, to look more at the fish. She smiled, what a lovely creature that was below her. They were as peaceful as they came. Her gold eyes looked back to the stallion as he commented on her boy, she gave a small grin, "That's quite nice of you to say! I love my ribbon, its me one true treasure. Though, your necklace does seem to tickle my fancy!"
She smiled watching his flick his tail, "When I was a filly I enjoyed my tail un-braided, but I've come quite accustomed to it being so." The stallion did have such a lovely mane.

"Ahh yes, that. The necklace is a piece of my family. my father had necklaces made for each of his sons, they match our eyes. Kind of like your bow only more manly" He said. "Hey that silvery white fish kind of looks like you." He pointed to a graceful long finned creature. "My tail has always been unbraided, I like it that way." he said. "If I tried to flick flies away wit a braid I would whap myself in the side every time." He laughed at the image.

She listened carefully, being rude to not do so. She smiled as she then looked at his necklace to his eyes, her own widening, "I havedn't noticed your green eyes before now! They are so lovely!" Usually Gene was all about complimenting others, on their looks, on their manes, on their names. Her ears perked, she had just realized she had yet to introduce herself to the stallion. She cursed herself in her head, how rude was that, not introducing yourself to a stranger!
She hadn't realized that her thoughts had kept her from hearing what the stallion had said to her. She looked to where he was pointing, seeing a small grey fish coming towards her she leaned closer and blinked, "Oh my, what a beautiful creature you are." Her voice came out soft and almost motherly like, usually how it would come out around a foal or new borns.
She smiled at his laugter, "Yes, its quite the talent to keep away the flies with a braided tail." Her golden eyes looked to her bow, a concious effort to remind herself that it was still there. She looked back to the stallion, "By the way, My name is Genevieve Sue, its a pleasure to meet you!"

" The pleasure is all mine, my dear." he said honestly. "I am called Dark Tide. But the Dark part of my name is only in reference to my coat, not my nature as I support King Azreth." He bowed deeply to the lovely mare. Taking care not to splash pond mud on her and especially not her bow. Dark Tide knew that would be like having her dunk his emerald necklace in the pond. An insult that would be very hard to forgive.
Dark Tide moved a little so that she could come closer to the pond to inspect the fish. The silver fish had risen to the surface of the pond to gulp some fresh air. While River was hiding behind a reed a little ways off. "Coward," Tide whispered to the fish.

Her smile widened as she walked towards him, hoping not to catch her bow into the water below her. She cooed at the fish, "Now, now, no need to be a bother." She poked the stallion jokingly, the poor fish was most certainly afraid of things much bigger than its own self. Not everything was brave, none the less were they as talented either. She smiled at the hiding fish, "The poor little thing probably doesn't like how much bigger we are. I remember I always used to hate looking up to my father and mother when I was a mere foal. No need to bash the little bugger." She smiled brightly.
Standing next to him she noticed two things, his coat was not only black, but it was white. Not quite the same shade as hers, perhaps this was because of the black surronding it. She smiled brightly, he was almost as plain as she was.
Though no one was ever just like her, one simple color, she found such beauty in simplicity. It was like no one ever had to compete, since they remained all one color. She turned again to the stallions, "Dark Tide? Quite the name I would say! Its brilliant though, what does the word Tide string from?"

"I don't think he is afraid of us I think he is afraid of the silver fish with the pretty fins." Tide said. Up close he could admire her luscious, silver coat. her yellow eyes ensnared him almost immediately. He didn't think he had seen yellow eyes before. "I believe that the Tide part of my name comes from the fact that I like water. Any kind of water as well as almost all kinds of fish. I don't like the prickly ones though." he said. As they were speaking River came out from behind its read and was slowly inching over to the new fish. "See now its coming out. It's about time." he admonished.

She smiled a bit more, "Ahh, so your name comes from wisdom of your nature, in some ways." She flipped her long mane, being careful not to scare away the fish that were now coming beneathe her. She was not one for the water, more than likely this was because she didn't much care for it. It started as a foal, getting her bow placed on was almost a symbol of becoming a mare. The bow reminded her how she should act, how a proper mare should be. Loving, kind, and anythign between the sort. She let her eyes drop back to the fish.
"Or maybe it's jealous? Beauty can cause others to engulf themselves in jealousy." As the fish came closer, she coo'd ever so quietly as she leaned down. Her smile was wide.
The odd thing about Genevieve, was that no matter who she came into contact to, she instantly adored them. This probably came from her all knowing since of a motherly figure. She enjoyed taking care of small foals and playing and talking with them. She was more than glad to help those in need, and even foster those who had broken hearts. She smiled to Dark Tide, "Now what should I call a bloke like you? Dark Tide or something shorter?"

"Whatever you like." he answered. "And perhaps you are right maybe it is jealous. Can fish get jealous?" he asked slightly perplexed at this new perspective. He was used to a guy way of thinking. With his brothers mate just joining their herd, he wasn't yet used to female ideas. he liked this new way of thinking though. He found it to be deeper less solid. Kind of like water!

Could fish get jealous? She smiled at the thought, but believed it had to be true. None-the-less everything was able to get jealous. Or, so she believed. Her smile was wide, "I think so, everyone has a secret desire or two. Maybe one of its is to be like the silver fish." When she was talking about what she thought, her real voice came out. It was slightly seductive, but over all very sweet. Her light laughter caught her own self off gaurd, "It's true you know, we all desire something."

"Well that much I knew." he said. "What do you desire most Genevive?" he asked curiously. He new that Azrein all desired different things and was interested in finding out what this lovely mare desired most. Dark tide brushed his muzzle over a nearby pond plant to clear it of any dust so that the plant could breathe better. His eyes grew soft as he glanced back at the fish. He was in his raw state not clumsy or bungling for once because he was standing still and he was surrounded by his two most favorite things. Fish and mares. He rarely showed his softer side, but there was something about her rich feminine voice that seemed to draw it out of him.

She thought for a second, then looked towards the pond, "I suppose my greatest desire would be to grow a family with the stallion I loved." This time her voice was even more calm, she didn't mean for this to happen, in a way it just did. It was the passion she had some would say, when she got to talk about her hopes and dreams. She really only had one, that was to be a caring mother, such as her own was. She wanted to pass on her traditions to her own children. Of course, children came at given times. She turned to him, "And yours?"

"To look after my fish and to raise a family with the same good values that my parents bestowed on my brothers and I. I guess we are not that different you and I Genevive Sue. I also want by brothers herd to succeed. We only have three members at the moment but we are pretty close now." he mused. "My parents live in the very north end of the floating isle. We have a younger brother who will be joining us down here soon once he is fully grown. How about you? Where is your family?" he asked.
