It had started off with anger. Anger, frustration, and hair pulling. At least that was how Shehk would have said it had started. It had actually started with her being a self destructive idiot. IDIOT.
How it had gotten to that point, Shehk would never confess to anybody else. But when she'd found herself staring at herself in the mirror, a blood spilling down her face and a giant patch of missing scalp on her head and a lock of hair in one hand, Shehk's brain process of 'normal' things had stopped.
s**t. She'd just maimed herself.
s**t.
s**t...... hey, that was actually a rather nicely sized chunk of hair. Shehk sighed, tossing the chunk of hair onto her desk, then looking at her bloodied hand, before pulling out her phone to text Sammy.... hesitantly text Sammy. There had been a lot of begrudging silence since Sammy had announced she had gotten Hellma's emblem.
Shehk had been justifiably, at least in her mind, angry about it.
But..she was sure she could get the zombie to come right over with the message she typed up with her non-dominant hand, the entire thing riddled with typos.
"Hfy Smmy, i hcve a presnt 4 u.
Pls comf ovr.
ps im bleeding"
... .....

For the most part Sammy sulked around her room, Shehk had been for a lack of better words silent and very much giving her the cold shoulder. Sure she had gotten Helma's pin but Sammy would think her friend's would have been somewhat happy for her right?
So it was very much a shock when her phone went off, the sound of a howling wolf Shehk's tone.
On reading the message she didn't even respond, she was already sprinting across the fields for the undead dorms. 'PS: I'm bleeding' granted not as clearly spelled. The point was clear. Shehk did something stupid she was sure of it.
Moments later she was pounding on Shehk's door, "Shehk? Shehk! What happened let me in!"

Sammy's pounding was immediately answered by the barks of Skoll and Hati, both of which sounded very concerned. They weren't left barking and scratching at the door for long, however. Shehk was almost immediate the answer... ....
though she still looked like hell when she opened it, her silver hair matted and stained with various shades of red which still trailed down the side of her face, though there were obvious smears that could have been easily identified as Shehk smearing it over to her mouth to lick it up as much as she could. Her blood or not, blood as blood....and she wasn't really up for deep thought right then when she was starting to get light headed.
Her tail wagged a bit.
"HiiIIIIiiiiiiii!" she greeted, swooning a bit before leaning against the doorway, smearing her bloodied palm down it. Her room was going to look like a murder scene at the rate she was going.
Shehk took a moment to feel the spot on her head, then look at the spot on Sammy's scalp, before puffing her chest out.
"I THINK IT WILL FIT." she beamed, walking back over to her desk to retrieve the lock of hair, possibly to confirm. There was no explanation as to why she hadn't patched herself up yet...or why she'd ripped her hair out at all.
In fact, Shehk wasn't panicking in the least.

The mini's where barking, they sounded just as worried as Sammy felt and it wasn't long before the door popped open to reveal a.... very very bloody Shehk in a state of some kind of delusion. The hello was rather, airy, possibly blood loss?
"Shehk we need to get some help for you."
She blinked as Shehk declared her next idea. "It will fit? Shehk. Maladores. Now." Her face was filled with worry, why was Shehk acting like this? It was probably Nuk's fault, or her own for that mater...

"Malodore is definitely a good choice!" Shehk agreed with a light squeal, Hati following on the Pricolici's tail whining. The ghoul turned and shook her head at the celestial wolf. "No. Stay." She asserted, her tone as sharp as it always was with them, no edge lost to her sudden air-headed stupidity she was walking around with.
None the less, the Pricolici grabbed up the bloody lock of hair from her desk before she was more or less dragged out the door by Sammy. Her tail wagged practically the entire time, though she made sure to close her door behind her. A trail of blood dripped down the hallway after her as she walked.
Yeah, murder scene was probably a correct 'label' for what it looked like as the pair went down the stairs and out of Vampire-halls (Well, Shehk was in a hall with the vampire subspecies with Tess..) to find the room of the Plague doctor.
Shehk had actually never been to Malodore's room, so it was mostly at Sammy's lead.
"You'll look so nice with it, Sammy." She grinned, though it was more of a forced pained smile.

"Yes he won't ask too many questions regarding why you did this and won't eat you for doing something stupid like Cricket." She paused for a moment to offer Hati a quick pat on the head, "I'll bring her back soon okay?"
With that she turned grabbing Shehk again, scalp chunk in hand trailing blood as they moved to the lower rooms of the undead dorm. Sammy hadn't lived far from the doc when she was still in the undead dorms.
Soon enough they stood outside Mal's door, Sammy knocking again much like she had earlier at Shehk's. "Hey doc? Doc are you in? We need a um... we need a stitching job done preferably without questions for someone like Cricket involved."
Glancing back at Shehk she tilted her head. "I'd look nice with it? You don't mean you...." she stared at the chunk and slowly reached up to poke her own dry bone where her skull was exposed. Shehk was really nuts right now.

There was a small storm of barking from inside the room, then a thud as something hit the door. "Smettila! Comportarsi voi stessi!" Malodore said, its voice muffled by the closed door, and there were the sounds of a brief scuffle.
Then silence, then footsteps, and then, finally, the opening door.
"Ah!" The plague doctor opened its beak in a smile as soon as it saw who was there. "Buon giorno, ladies - what brings y-" It closed its beak with a snap as it took in Shehk's condition. "Ah, I see. Do come in?" It held the door open and gestured for them to enter.

Shehk's tail just continued to wag as she stood there at Sammy's side, shifting the chunk of hair in her hand and seeming to be on a happy cloud 9 as she stepped into the room, tilting her head as she looked around.
It was much more interesting than her own room was.
Shehk's tail wagged ever faster as she looked about for Luce, ignoring the fact that she was dripping blood in the plague doctor's room. After a moment, she turned to Malodore and shoved the lock of hair into its hands;
"This! Is for Sammy. I don't need it. But I think she'd look nice in it. Don't you think she'd look nice in it? I think she'd look nice in it."
Shehk was beginning to ramble.

The barking Sammy chalked up, was related to Luce. When the door finally opened she offered a sheepish wave to the doctor before glancing about ushering Shehk inside following after.
"Hey doc, we uh. Shehk had an accident or something I don't know. She sent me a text and I brought her over here...." For a moment she paused listening to Shehk's thoughts again blinking.
"You really didn't tear out your own scalp just to give me a full head? I mean..." She paused for a moment, only Riley and Shehk thus far knew just exactly how Sammy felt about her bald spot. Well having Mal know wouldn't hurt right? "You know I've complained about it, but you don't have to go and tear your hair out or something." She glanced at Mal shrugging helplessly, "I don't know what to do, she's acting off, and well, is it safe for her to just lop off some of her scalp like that?"

Once the door was closed, Malodore opened the door to its closet; Luce zoomed out, begging up on Shehk first, then bouncing to Sammy before returning to the pricolici's side. The pup leaned against her adoringly, licking the blood from the bits of her that she could reach, then inching to lap at the floor. Delicious!
Malodore shook its head. "Easy clean-up," it said, amused, then sobered a bit as it examined the bit of hair and scalp in its claws, then peered at Shehk carefully. "Yes, I could do a transplant quite easily, if it is desired... I've never worked with a scalp before, but it shouldn't be too difficult." It turned the piece over in its hands. Fiddly work, thin needles and lots of tiny stitches. Yes.
"But first..." It put the hair down on its work table, then bent to open one drawer and pull out some folded gauze and cotton padding. Wordlessly, it handed it to Shehk. "You should stop the bleeding; I am not certain given your species, but most undead find it difficult to regenerate blood as rapidly as the living."

Shehk nodded. "I don't need it. It will come back." she answered, seeming to sober a bit, but crouching down to hold one hand out to Luce. Blood loving dogs go nom nom nom together. The pricolici looked up when Malodore walked over, offering her gauze and cotton. Her lips tightened in a slight smile.
"Probably smart to do before I pass out on the ground, I guess." She laughed dryly, pressing it to her head, tail and ears flicking in unison from the tinge of pain that stung from the contact. She probably should have been taking proper care of herself instead of ripping her hair out to hand over to Sammy.
Well.... It hadn't been her intention to rip it out and give it to Sammy, at the very least.
"I'll admit I have it slightly easier because blood is my primary diet. Squirrels are supplementary because blood isn't often easy to come across...." she trailed off, then sighed, sitting on the floor.
"Sammy. Just take it. Or I'll ignore you for another week for snubbing my gifts. They're certainly not normal, what I give, but dammit..I told you I'd get you something to fix that spot somehow." She shrugged. "Besides, then you can look pretty at prom. It isn't like I need to look pretty at prom for anybody."
She paused.
"Okay, I need to look nice for my date, but it isn't like I'm trying to stay pretty for Nuk anymore...it isn't like he'd notice...." She grumbled, frowning and sighing.

"True, you grow flesh back better then me..." She paused lifting up her left arm taking note of miss colored spots in the bone where Cricket had done work stitching her backtogether with FEAR, not to mention the lovely scar she sported on her left side thanks to one of Jingleberry's last attacks. "I need to learn how to heal myself, I hate the infirmary."
Standing beside Shehk she crouched down ever so slightly. "Could take a bite out of a few demons, I know this one down the hall who's been making way too much noise and could use a day in the infirmary..." It was a joke of course so she trailed off with a shrug and a sheepish smile.
Which turned into the largest pout ever at threats of another week of the cold shoulder. "Hey hey, I have a gash running clean through my left side from that exam, my arm was chipped and cracked all over... going a week with you hating me is bad enough, I don't need another one..." Leaning over she took a look at the scalp and eyed it curiously in Mal's hands, it was about right in size, and the hair was long enough she could style it to match what she had still.
"Don't think about Nuk." She said glancing down again, "Worry about your self and not him." Turning back to Mal she shrugged. "I have faith in you doc, you passed Crickets exam, if Shehk want's this done or a week of cold shoulders, well then I guess I'm getting a bit of work done today."

Shehk seemed a bit... off, at least from what Malodore recalled. Still, it didn't know the pricolici very well, and it wasn't really its business in any case. Best to tend to what it could treat, and leave speculation to others.
"Va bene." It pivoted and grabbed a wooden chair from where it sat by the window, putting it down in front of the work table. "You are prepared to do this now, Sammy? There is one thing I need - a bit of ice from one of the cool rooms downstairs, just to numb the flesh so it is not too painful. Unfortunately I do not have any chemical numbing agents on hand - by and large I've not been working on living flesh..."

"You know what, Sammy? ******** you. I gave him months to lose interest. I thought 'Hey, maybe he's chasing me because I'm just a pretty piece of a** and he'll give up when he realized it isn't easy'. It didn't happen. It really didn't happen and he kept trying. So I allowed myself to go out on a limb and think 'maybe it could work out'."
She laughed, a barking laugh.
"Worse decision of my life. I spent a lot of time with him, Sammy. I really let myself love him and he didn't even trust me... because all in all I was a pretty b***h to him and not a person at all. That's not just something I can 'stop' thinking about."
There was a pause as she looked up to Malodore, brows lifting; "You passed Cricket's exam? Well Congratulations! I'm sure she didn't make it easy." she mused, before slumping, the thought of being devoured whole returning to her. That smoldering smothering darkness. Any wrong move.
Any single wrong move.
She sneered a bit.
There was a pause as she looked back to Malodore; "My flesh may not be as living as it could be, as it does not patch back together, but the general rule is work from the bottom up. That's what I do, anyways..." She pulled down her collar to show off the bare top of an autopsy scar to show what she meant by 'her own' experience.

Moving towards the door she prepared to get some ice glancing back, "Eh, my flesh is pretty much dead, like dead as dead can be. Numbing agents won't mean much for me ice should do well enough." With that she stepped out leaving the doctor and Shehk to converse over methods of work before returning with the ice.
"One bucket of cold rocks, and yes doc, I am indeed ready. Seriously, this can't hurt much, really I mean it." With that she lifted her shirt, unusually long today revealing the large scar over her hip where Jingleberry had pretty much almost ran her through. "This is going to tickle compared to the crap I've put up with lately."
