i am the scrooge of valentines day ><;;
anyone agree with me on how much this day sucks?
or does it rawk in your opinion
is it really a big deal to give someone flowers and candy on a specific day so its not really a surprise?
wouldnt you rather get flowers on may 20th? a random day in which your sweetie was thinkin of you?
dont you hate it when youre alone (physically anyways) on valentines day? especially when all your friends are being all lovey dovey and crap right infront of you?
am i babbling to much?

I loathe Valentine's Day. neutral
... mainly because I'm always alone during it. No guys want to have anything to do with me, so I think it'll be like this for a while. sweatdrop
I also tend to get really angry whenever I see people getting all lovey and happy with each other, or talking about how incredibly awesome the person they love is. It annoys me almost more than anything else, and I think it's rude. I can admit, though, that I get really jealous of what they have...

tsk... this day blows to all oblivion. I hate it, only because it tends to send the message that Valentine's Day is the one day that you should do something special for the one you love. Please... EVERY day is its own opportunity to do something special for that special someone! Don't limit it to a single day in the shortest month of the year! Well... there's that... and the fact that I don't have anyone that I can physically spend the day with... friends or otherwise. Therefore, until someone decides to change this day's meaning, it shall from this day be forever known as Singles Awareness Day! scream
Hehe... I miss the times when Valentine's Day simply translated to Free Candy Day... I decided to wear all black today because I hate what it's become so much... well, I don't have any black pants, so it's more like I wore all black and khaki... eh, whatever. It's still just another day to me. No circumstance in the world is gonna change that.

Valentine's day is a reenforcement for couples and singles.
If your a couple, tradition and federal law requires to buy flowers and/or chocolates and the girl to go to some base with him, which base it is depending upon the advancement of the relationship.
If you're lonely, it's a grim parody, a bitter satire of your love life. Every display window becomes a slap in the face. The candy hearts turn into metaphors for your unfulfilled spiritual hunger. The cherubs are mocking, tormenting tieflings, flapping their wings and pointing their arrows as if to say "Hahaha, you don't have anyone, all this stuff isn't for you, you pathetic, sad, ******** loser. I should peirce your heart and put you out of your misery."
Maybe I'm exaggerating a little. But the point is I hate valentine's day. I say we celebrate February 15th and 16th instead, "the days when chocolate is half-off". During the 15th you buy chocolate, and on the 16th you give it to significant others, crushes, people you think are hot, or even somebody you just think could stand to gain a few pounds.

I also hate V-day, but I guess I am little selfish as to why. In the 18 years I have existed, I have never had a true love, or anyone actually infatuated in me that way. I am always alone, always forgotten, and always left out.
Besides, this isn't a real holiday- it is just some way for companies to mooch more money. Oh, well. It's an excuse to give girls candy. wink

You know this is actually the first year in which I have actually liked valentines day ^^;. I had plenty of friends to share it with andd well, someone who felt for me rather then someone who hardly liked me and I felt for them. ^^; awkward wording but awkward situation.
*nods* I really liked it. 3nodding Much less tense then the New Years close holidays, I don't like getting presents on those days, it all just seems like guilt stuff... or useless tradition... it is all about a choice on valentines day... and it can really tell someone you care if you aren't a free off giver to everyone you meet.

Although I COMPLETELY agree that people should show people how they love them on a regular basis instead of just one day, I think that single people should spend V-day with friends or appreciating themselves, for we cannot truly love someone without loving ourselves first, so you should focus on how ********' awesome you all are and pamper yourselves.
