Biography:
Lira was born to a single mother and never knew her father throughout her childhood. She was very intelligent, but was often left alone as her mother worked late and went out on dates with strange men. The isolation and absence of guidance made her hard and difficult to deal with.
Despite maintaining near perfect grades throughout high school, she was constantly in trouble with the law for fighting, drinking, and other rebellious activities. Her mother was often angry and disappointed in her, but felt that Lira was too old for her to punish her like a child.
It wasn't until Lira was about to graduate that her father suddenly stepped back into her life. A man who had made millions through shady banking practices, he wanted to buy Lira's place in his life with flashy cars, exorbitant presents, and an offer to pay for her to go to any college she wished too.
Lira refused most of the flashy gifts, but couldn't allow herself to deny the opportunity to a good education. But, she made sure to choose a college far away from the sunny west coast life she so loathed.
She wanted to focus on herself and decide how she wanted to react to her mother and father. Lira often took long walks through the dew soaked forests around the Virginia countryside surrounding her campus.
It was during one of these walks that Lira seemed to become so submerged in her own thoughts that she wandered off the regular path. Turned around, lost, and with darkness quickly approaching, Lira was lost. She wandered through the forest for what seemed like hours, but was probably more like minutes, before arriving on a deserted road leading to a ghost town ... Silent Hill.
