Driftveil City, Unova

Kano was looking over some berries set out for sale when he paused, perfectly still. He sniffed slightly and turned his head just the slightest bit, sighing happily. It was going to rain soon. He adjusted his belt, which had risen too high on his hip, and passed on the berries. It might just be a good time for a swim.

He started heading towards the outskirts of town, in no particular rush as the storm was probably an hour or so off. He hadn't quite known what to do with himself once Shina had left, not recognizing him in his current form. He hadn't met any others like himself, and the humans seemed to have mixed opinions of him. He was finding the adjustment more awkward than he would have imagined, but then again, he had never imagined not being with Shina. He sighed heavily, putting his hands behind his head with his elbows sticking out as he walked, not particularly paying attention to where he was going.

It wasn't a particularly busy day, nor one that was slow. The flow of bodies along the street was consistent, with everyone going their own way. For the Piplup, he'd finished with his work for the day, stepping out from a rather high-end looking building, a careless if not blank expression on his face. As he was left to the mercy of the open street, his slender arms fluffed out the shielding cloak surrounding him, letting it flutter before re-settling against him. Another day, another chance to move forward... he'd find a way home, one way or another. Those trained and prideful deep blue eyes surveyed his immediate area, giving no care to those who passed by, unless met with a gaze... to which he stared down intently until it removed.

Moving further from his current post, movement fluid and graceful, the tiny tail that was hidden behind him twitched slightly, easily picking up on the moisture that was heavy in the air. The rain... it wasn't the same here... but it was comforting, all the same. The city made it dirty... contaminated it's natural beauty, and poisoned its once pure state. But there wasn't much Felek could do about that..
As much as he would like to stand in the rain and let it wash over him, and feel that usual cool wind, he knew it would not be possible... in the presence of such a busy and populated area, he felt on edge, constantly 'en guarde'. The place was not to be trusted, nor were the inhabitants. As he continued down the path towards the home he rented, those vibrant blue sapphires spared just a brief glance to a fellow Gijinka, but his movement did not stop. And just like that his eyes were set back ahead of him again, as if the spotting had never happened.

He was starting to enter the more residential district when he felt a set of eyes on him for the briefest of moments. Was that......another of his kind? That it was! Think, Kano, think! he ordered himself. The other Gijinka had noticed him, but continued on his way. Were they more common in Driftveil than he had noticed before? He had no idea. Well, he wasn't about to let this guy slip away from him, not now that he'd finally found another of his kind.

He had so many questions, being a new convert and all. What did they do to earn money? Did they have the same rights as the humans, assuming they could pay for the privileges? Living in a house sure would be nice, especially in contrast to just finding a dark alley and holing up for the night. Still, he had a feeling his fellow didn't want to be bothered, so he set to following him from a distance behind, as sneakily as he could which, admittedly, wasn't rather sneakily at all! He was loud and boisterous by nature, and being quiet wasn't his forte.

As he traveled, his flowing cape fluttered effortlessly behind him, thanks to the help of the naturally more windy town. He came her for only one purpose. It held an arctic like area... one that reminded him of home. It could have been possible he just find some survivors from his flock.... but unfortunately, so far, he'd yet to see any. And so, as he crossed the bridge that separated the colder part of town to the more mainstream area, he was becoming well aware that he was no longer travelling alone. It really wasn't very sneak on the Mudkip's part, more so creepy, and undignified. Slender arms hidden beneath his light cloak, Felek paused once he reached the other side of town, speaking without turning his head,

"Is there something you need.." he states more than asks. He didn't take kindly to men who couldn't face him, or tried cheap tricks. It showed they obviously held no pride or honor... and that was unforgivable. But what this strangers intentions were, he didn't know... so couldn't really peg just what kind of man this fellow was. Of course, regardless if he were 'good' or ill-minded, it didn't matter all that much, as Felek would remain in a guarded stature.
