The Genin Exams A lot tamer then it's made out to be.
The Genin exam is remarkably easy. All you have to do is state your name, Village of Origin, and drive for becoming a Genin, then demonstrate the three basic ninja techniques: Transformation Technique, Clone Technique, and Substitution Technique.
The proctor for this exam is Kisuke Nakatsukasa. He seems a bit bored at the moment, and will remain that way while examining you, unless you can give him a good show. It's not that he's disinterested in seeing you pass, it's more that he's been doing this for quite a while, and the groups of timid, nervous little Academy Students who demonstrate their jutsu to the least of their ability and then skitter away with a headband are starting to get repetitive.
Speaking of headbands, you may choose either to wear the symbol of your village, or a custom one may be made on the spot, provided you have the symbol you wish to wear on hand. You may not wear another village's headband. Despite what the Academy's purpose is, it is still considered treason to your village to wear another village's symbol.

Tori stood in front of the examers her violet eyes hard and ready not showing any tension or nerves.
“My name is Uchiha Tori of the Leaf Village. I want to be the strongest ninja in history and show my clan that I deserved a place among them. That I can make the Uchiha Clan proud of me not shamed that I deserve this name I bear.”
Then she moved forward and four of her stood in line before the merged and she became the student next to her then to shifted back to herself. A puff of smoke appeared where she stood and a log was replaces from the stack behind the students. She stood back where she started in line and waved with a grin at the examers as the log clattered onto the floor.

Serafinariv Tori stood in front of the examers her violet eyes hard and ready not showing any tension or nerves. “My name is Uchiha Tori of the Leaf Village. I want to be the strongest ninja in history and show my clan that I deserved a place among them. That I can make the Uchiha Clan proud of me not shamed that I deserve this name I bear.” Then she moved forward and four of her stood in line before the merged and she became the student next to her then to shifted back to herself. A puff of smoke appeared where she stood and a log was replaces from the stack behind the students. She stood back where she started in line and waved with a grin at the examers as the log clattered onto the floor. Kisuke sighed with boredom. This girl was another cookie cutter Academy Student, just doing the basics to get by. If Hikaru has shown him such a measly performance, he would have smacked him upside the head. But this girl looked mixed parts of nervous and bizarrely determined, and she had technically demonstrated the techniques required. Still, he had expected a bit more from an Uchiha...
Of course, there was still time to test her out.
"Justa moment," he grunted, leaning back in his chair. He snatched a headband emblazoned with the Hdden Leaf's village and tossed it at her unexpectedly. If she was really an Uchiha, her Sharingan's perception abilities would pick up the movement immediately, and she would catch it without a hitch. If not, she'd be left with a goose egg...

Tori’s hand snapped out automatically as if it was second nature not a thought through action. The band smacked satisfyingly into her hand, her fingers closing around it as her violet eyes turned to the boy who had just thrown it at her.
She arched an eyebrow at him and said somewhat annoyed, “what did you think? I wouldn’t be able to catch it?”

Kisuke grinned evilly and said, "You pass, alright, but if your innate abilities are that good, you should try to impress the examiners more at your next exam. I guarantee you, your sensei won't take kindly to a lack of effort. If you wish to prove yourself to the prestigious Uchiha, you should put more effort into your training,"
He sighed and pondered on how much he sounded like an old woman there, and continued, "Anyway, you'll be with," he consulted his clipboard, "Kaito Kawano, the head of Squad 2,"
He stood up and placed an almost fatherly hand on Tori's shoulder and said, "Now, Kaito is a bit...disturbed. You'll want to be cautious around him. He's had a rough life, and it comes back to haunt him at the worst of times. Be good to him, and to yourself, y'hear?"
He gently pried the headband from Tori's fingers, tied it around her head, and said, "As the proctor of the Genin Exams, I declare you, Tori Uchiha of the Leaf, an official Genin, with all the rights and responsibilities associated with that rank. Be true to your comrades, loyal to your village, and treat your enemies with honor, as befits a true ninja. Report to your cell, Genin,"

Tori shifted so the boy’s hand slid from her shoulder, she had an aversion to being touched. She nodded her head at his advice about giving more effort during her exams and tensed under his hands when he removed the band from her hand and tied it around her head.
“Thank you,” she said more because it was excepted then out of real thanks.

Hikaru walked up to the exam table and looked up at the proctor, startled when it was his brother! Hikaru remembered Kisuke saying something about doing something on something with something, but that was as far as it got.
"Kisuke! I forgot you were proctoring!" he exclaimed.

Lily walked in, showing very little expression, but deep down, she was excited to become a ninja. She'd been forced by Alex to take the exam first, so hear she was. "My name is Lily Trevell, and I come from the Village Hidden in the Leaves." Without even giving any time for a reply, she held up a hand seal, chakra swirling around her, and a puff of smoke went up. When it cleared, she was a bit taller, but now wearing red clothes, and appeared to be a male. Right after, she performed a second hand seal, still in her new form. Two clones appeared, one on either side, but those two drew their katana, swinging simultaneously to slice the one in the middle.
No blood even dripped, and what seemed to be the original, went up in smoke, a sliced up log now lying where the figure was originally. From within the crowd of students, a fourth form jumped into the air towards the desk, slashing the one, and the other before it could react, both spilling into water which quickly evaporated. She released her transformation, feeling comfortable with her performance, and having performed the three basic techniques with almost a small play.

Kisuke grinned at his younger brother, and quipped, "Yeah, like you forget everything else, too,"
He chuckled as his brother pouted, and inwardly thought of how proud he was of his little brother. The boy had advanced rapidly through his Academy training, and he was graduating at twelve, while Kisuke had just examined a sixteen-year-old! Certainly, Hikaru was talented, and with his ability to summon weapons, he was practically unparalled in taijutsu. On top of that, though he didn't know it, Hikaru was a Jinchuriki, and a talented one at that; with his copious amounts of chakra, his ninjutsu were above par as well. His genjutsu left something to be desired, but that wasn't really his thing anyway.
Kisuke sat back in his chair and said, "Just because you're my brother doesn't mean you'll be getting any leniency. I know how talented you are, so state your name, village, and Ninja Way, and then show me what you've got!"
EDIT:
He turned to the girl who had just come and whistled appreciatively.
"That was very good, Ms. Trevell, impressive. That might be the best one I've seen all day! You deserve your headband,"
He pulled a headband from the desk and tied it around her head, repeating the same words to her that he had to Tori. He then turned back to his brother.
"Hikaru, if yours isn't twice as good as Lily, you don't get dinner tonight,"

"I cook dinner, idiot!" Hikaru cackled, his brother facepalming at his own stupidity.
"Now, let's get this show on the road!" he exclaimed. He jumped back in a twisting flip, landing on the ceiling with his feet stuck to it and still facing his brother. He made a handsign and a clone appeared next to him, with the same small smile on its face. The clone transformed into a giant shuriken, which Hikaru flung at Kisuke. As the older ninja reflexively ducked, Hikaru substituted with his clone and appeared on top of Kisuke's desk. He had summoned Slfarion, his newest sword, and it's speed abilities let him press the blade against Kisuke's throat in less time then it took to blink an eye.
"How was that, Kisuke," he said apprehensively, jumping off the desk and twirling his sword around with his fingers until it disappeared in a flurry of colorful light. His response was a resounding round of applause, both from the two other Jonin in the room and his peers.

Tori silently watched the other combats and wondered why the boy had been so disappointed with her. She did the bare minimum, but she did what was needed, why get fancy just to show she could do those techniques, that was just stupid and a waste of energy.
She left the testing ground.

Kinko, or Ken as he like to be called, walked calmly up the examiners desk. His face showed no signs of being nervous, in fact it was void of pretty much any emotion. "Hello there, my name is Kinko Takashi but I prefer Ken. I come from the Village Hidden in the Clouds." With the introductions out of the way he took a step back and made a few handsigns, as he completed the signs the air around him seemed to thicken and begin to obscure the vision of the instructors. In his bubble of chakra infused air he made a simple clone to keep the instructors attention while stepping backwards out of the "thickened" air and tread quietly along the ceiling. He made his way to the other side of the room behind the instructors desk and dispersed his control over the wind. When the wind cleared again Ken's clone threw a kunai straight for the instructors head. At the last moment the real Ken reached around the instructors head snatching the kunai out of the air. "So did I scare you at all?"

"Thank you, sir." She took her headband, immediately tying it to her head after she sheathed her weapon, heading to the Squad 2 training grounds as well. She wondered what her team would be like as she walked to the rendevous. (Edit: Thanks, I just use the resize feature to make a better version. Gonna update my pic in my profile for a quick ref.)
