So I joined a feminist LJ community because I was desperate to be a feminist.
Suddenly I find that I am banned.
What is the reason the mods gave?

"DO NOT link to anti-choice websites to back up your argument. If what you are trying to say is true, you should be able to find it on a unbiased or pro-choice site.

This is a feminist community, anti-choice comments are not welcome here."

What was it that I posted?

http://www.feministsforlife.org/

A ******** FEMINIST LINK!!!!!!!!

They call themselves feminists, boast about how they are anti- all these kinds of discrimination. They encourage women to have an opinion. Then ban someone for having an opinion. Then get this: Call themselves feminists....then ban someone...for posting a FEMINIST LINK!

And for anyone who wants to troll the s**t out of an LJ community:

Be warned, you won't find any feminists here.

The fail I see is how they tell you to not post anything that is biased and supports our side (even if the facts used were turn), but it is o.k. to for them to post pro-choice, which of course would support abortion and is clearly biased of their side, not unbiased source or facts..

That is hypocritical on their part. Honestly, you are better off not being part of a group that is full of hypocrites and only supports one side.

Being a feminist is about supporting all women and helping them to fight for equality, if they aren't going to accept every women, that who needs them? Each woman is different and we all have different beliefs, the point of feminism was to help with equal pay, jobs, etc....

They sound like more pro-abortion than anything else. neutral
So much for equality and supporting all women and their opinions.

That is the problem I have with most pro-choicers, they aren't for all women and letting us choose, they are for themselves and if anyone has a different opinion or would choose something else, they turn against them and resort to name calling. They don't even have the courtesy or respect to call us pro-life. If we are anti-choice/women than they are pro-death/abortion and anti-babies/unborn.

It doesn't feel good to be called that, probably hate it. See the point I am going with here?

By the way, I noticed that people don't like medical facts or biology, weird.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Though I forgot to put it in the OP.

If they had said "unbiased" sources only then that would actually make sense, but "unbiased" or "pro-choice" is obviously... well, biased. I don't think that blog is worth your time anyway. To be honest, I think some of the radical feminists are downright scary to the point where they cross the line from supporting women to hating men although I don't know if that situation includes this blog.

Feminists of the type mentioned in the OP actually crossed the line to hating women also! Which brings me back to my point of FEMINISM FAIL!

Interesting... it's only "unbiased" if it agrees with them?

Either way, some aspects of feminism seem quite... strange to me.

Such as the ones that think being a feminist is essentially being a man.

Or the ones that want equal rights, but only if it works in their favour.

Equality is one thing, but expecting preferential treatment *and* wanting to be treated the same is hypocritical.

Either way, just seems to me that a lot of things seem to revolve around the cons rather than the pros.

There are plenty of pros about being born male, but of course there are also plenty of cons too.

But I think it can be epitomised in one sentence:

If a girl cross dresses, that's normal; if a guy cross dresses it's a perversion.

Point is, that kind of extreme behaviour can be summed up with the paradoxical: "it's only fair if it's done my way, and no other"
