It was raining so hard the birds had umbrellas Azzo sighed he was standing out in the rain a yellow rain slicker on and an umbrella as he waited for the cab that Aurora had caught. He hoped that the cab driver was driving safely enough, it really wasn't fit for man nor beast out.
Though he told her he'd set up the tent, so even with the rain out if she still wanted to rough tonight out in a tent he'd just hope it wouldn't leak. He was pretty sure he bought a waterproof one but how well did that work? He sighed he was worrying too much. He stood there watching for the car, normally the rain wouldn't bother him. He should just stand there as Niflhel at least he'd be dry when he powered down... well his clothing would be. He sighed and shook his head, oh well. Zia was probably laughing at him by now.

The day had started magically enough. Aurora's excitement seeming to bubble over the edge as the hours drew on. Money was handed off to the apartment manager at her new place. The cab was called.. just once more to confirm all the details. All her things were shoved into the cab and they stopped at the mall just long enough to pick up the tent that Azzo had forgotten.
Settling into the two hour cab drive Aurora had had plenty of time to daydream about how the day would be. That day however.. did not include rain.
The darkness had set in fairly early in the trip, clouds rumbling and rain falling with a vengence towards the earth. And it didn't seem to get any better either the closer she got. When the car finally stopped she could not see either Azzo or the cabin, and the cab driver explained to her mildly. With so much rain, he was afraid to get stuck. It seemed the little princess was going to have to truck it.
It wasn't very far at all, the bit of mushy driveway she had to walk.. if it weren't so dark from the storm Azzo probably would have been able to see the cab where it had stopped. But Aurora also wasn't used to carrying three bags anywhere. And she was woefully unprepared as well.
By the time Azzo came into view Aurora was drenched. A tent bag dangled from one shoulder. Another bag from the other shoulder and a wheeled suitcase was being pulled sloppily in tow. Her hair was drooping, bangs sticking to her forehead, and her lovely new dress looked nowhere near as flattering as it had while dry. So much for making a good impression and looking super pretty.
There was one thing however the rain could not damper. A smile was plastered to her face, and she called out to the figure in yellow. "Azzo"
It didn't matter if it was pouring rain or their plans had been changed. Aurora Namid was having a little vacation get away.. with her very first and honest to god boyfriend

Azzo sighed waiting for the cab, though he wasn't aware the driver wouldn't come up the muddy drive. When he saw Aurora come into sight he almost squawked, "Oh god the cab driver made you walk!?" In an instant he was pulling off his rain jacket and threw it over her and he had shifted from Human to Knight in almost an instinct reaction, he had full belief that no one was going to be out near their cabin in this mess. "Let me carry those!" He started taking the bags from her handing the umbrella to her.
"Wait till I get my hands on that cabby. He'll think twice about making someone walk in the rain." The knight growled looking down to where the road was. The bags were hefted with no trouble. "Lets get inside and get you dry." He was even carrying the suitcase on wheels. At least dry cleaning for the Knight fuku didn't cost anything.

She had expected a little help, but she hadn't expected him to powerup and steal all her bags from her, leaving her suddenly with a coat AND umbrella. "It wouldn't have been good if his cab got stuck. He might have had to wait hours for help.. or we would have had to push"
For all his freaking out, Aurora was fairly serene, and she stepped up close to him, trying to hold the umbrella in a way that shielded him a bit too.
"I'm not made of sugar after all. I won't melt" She added softly attempting to sooth his irritation.

He looked at her, "If I had to push I would've, but he was a jackass to make you walk."
He seemed offended anyone would make a person walk in this. "If it'd kept you dry, I mean you could catch a cold!" He was moving at a quick clip as they headed to the cabin, she was trying to keep him dry and he was trying not to be dry. He was being a weird, then again was he ever not weird in someway?
He paused, and smiled, "I know, but I don't want you to catch a cold. It'd be horrible to have a cold and be stuck here and not somewhere comfy."

"Azzo..." He was being a little crazed.. a little flustered.. even borderline bipolar as he swapped from rage to concern and she tried her best to keep up with him as he power walked towards the cabin that she could finally see through the rain. Her shoes were not helping in the race either, because even though they were flats like he'd suggested, the pretty little sandals were not like his knight boots. Hell.. they weren't even camping worthy. They had sheerly been for looking nice for him something that.. he likely never notice now thanks to the rain and the cab.
He was probably just stressed.. Worrying about the kids.. maybe his grandma.. and of course he was nervous about her coming up.
"I'm fine alright.. Shush." She offered softly, attempting to catch his sleeve and touch him gently, even as he tried his best to power walk faster then her human body could manage.
Aurora sighed a little, trying to push off the feelings of nervousness and stress. It seemed her mood was much more steadfast than his at the moment. "I just love the sound of rain pattering on a roof or umbrella."

He paused when she called his name and sighed, "You're right." He was really more worried about what Zia had to say. Not to mention he was still mad anyone could be so cruel as to make a lady walk. There was no chivalry left in the world!
He stopped and looked back at her with a frown, "If you insist..." He had stopped to listened, he'd been so caught up in thoughts and the fact that Aurora was coming and he was afraid what Zia would say or Zirconia for that matter he didn't know what else to do. His eyes looked down to her almost shamefully. "Yes it's.... nice..."

Ahhh, finally slower! His stopping allowed her to slow too, thankfully, she'd been getting to the point were she would have been either winded or cramping up by the time they reached the door at that pace!
"Is the cabin nice? Have you been very busy with the kids?" She chattered on as they began to walk again, oblivious to the worries plaguing him or what she might find when they actually reached the cabin.
Really.. to change to Niflhel just because of some rain and heavy bags.. she couldn't help but smile a little at how silly he was being.

Azzo shrugged, "It's nice enough. It has running water and everything. You can get a shower if you want when we get in."
He paused, "Eh the kids have kept busy on their own. We did a fire safety lesson but it wasn't really that much of a thing to do." He sighed walking with her when they reached the door he shuffled the bags so he could open it for her.
Of course he didn't see Zia sitting in the rolly chair at the desk. What lovely timing Niflhel had, he shrugged staying powered up long enough to get back inside the cabin. Letting Aurora in first. "Zia would you get a towel for Aurora?" He asked.

Zia glanced over to see was wet girl walk in with Niflhel behind, slamming the phone down onto the receiver. It was just her brother on the other end, she was allowed to abruptly hang up on him for no reason, right?
"Azzo, what the crap?" She blurted out, having caught a glimpse of his powered up form. She didn't have the same confidence no one would notice a random, flamboyant dude and a power signature walking to their cabin. Apparently he can't kiss Aurora but he's completely okay with frolicking around all suited up in her presence?
"Yeah, towel," She said after a second, having to remind herself and getting up to go grab one for his soaked guest.

"Sounds absolutely five star" She teased lightly to his 'lovely' description. A travel writer he was not.
"I don't think I'll need a shower though, I'm already wet enough as is"
She entered backwards for the most part, trying to see if he needed any assistance with the various bags and items and when he did not, pausing to shake the umbrella out the door as she worked on closing it.
She hadn't even noticed that someone else was in the cabin.. not until Azzo spoke. Her breath leaving her entirely with the crash of the phone into it's cradle.
Zia...? Even without looking the feminine voice was enough to clue her in. And once she had looked she suddenly was wishing she hadn't.
The other woman.. loud and/or irritated as she might have been was lovely. Doublely and triplely lovely compared to the wet rat that she currently was.
Why was there a woman in the cabin? Why did they seem so.. friendly wasn't the word. Familiar perhaps? Had they spent all week together? Did he know her even from before that?
Where had all the air in the room went? Aurora was silent, the only evidence of her feelings the betrayal that resided heavily in her teal eyes.
Rain might not have ruined her first date. But 'another woman' would quite possibly do the job.

Azzo rolled his eyes at Zia, "Oh come on we're a million miles away from Destiny. It's not going to kill me to walk around occasionally powered. How else do you think I get on the roof?" Obivously he wouldn't climb up there.
He shook his head, "I'll power down once you've got her a towel." He sat the bags down and pulled Aurora closer to him, to keep her from getting a chill.
"It's cozy enough right? I'll go set up the tent in a little bit." He promised, trying to get her to look at him.

Zee had rushed to go grab one of her clean towels, hurrying back to gingerly offer it to Aurora in spite of muttering about identities and civilians. "I'm sorry," She apologized to Aurora for her foul mood, and it was genuine, at least. Not the sarcastic apologies Azzo had been getting this whole trip.
She put her hands on her hips and glanced out the window, sighing a little. Guess they weren't going to be going to their private tent. "Is he being an idiot?" She asked. She'd love to smack Azzo for being an idiot, especially since he was apparently dating a girl so far out of his league she was curious if she really did have some sort of self-esteem issue.
But the look on Aurora's face the the silence was definitely awkward. Zee couldn't place what was wrong. The trip in the rain? Did something happen? Does not compute. She just glanced to the side, breaking eye contact and hoping something would happen already.

Politeness.. civilty.. manners. Lessons learned in Crystal and a slew of other boarding homes bent on shaping her into a proper lady. It was a life time of culture that kept her from going 'crazy b***h' on the whole situation and grabbing Zia by the hair before shaking her in front of Azzo like 'what the hell is this!?' It was not the surprise she was hoping for. Candles.. perhaps.. Flowers.. maybe. Other woman. NO.
She realized she was being quiet and as the other girl returned with a towel, she accepted it, greeting her softly. "I'm sorry. I must be a little more tired then I thought. I'm Aurora, Aurora Namid."
She regarded Zee's 'joke' for a moment, offering her a mild and half hearted smile at the idea. But she didn't want Azzo hit. She wasn't sure what she wanted other than maybe to cry. Wrapping the towel around her wet shoulders and top half, she began to dry herself.
Time to suck it up and be a big girl and not a baby. She had just graduated highschool after all. Was soon to be in charge of the wellbeing and minds of young children. She was a champion of justice for crying out loud. Shake it off.
"There is no point in setting it up until the rain stops anyway. I doubt camping is much fun in the mud and downpour." She stated matter of factly to Azzo.
Her expression softened to something a little more polite as she turned back to Zee. "Are you doing the forest ranger thing too then? I can't believe I didn't hear about the camp earlier. It sounds like fun."

Niflhel suddenly dissolved and was back to being Azzo. Standing there, at least he wasn't wearing the ugly khaki's they normally had to wear. He shot a glare at Zee when she asked if he was being an idiot.
Azzo sighed as Aurora dried herself leaning on the cabin wall, watching the two girls interact. He had a feeling he might should explain things though, "Hm... wonder who'd kill me first if I let the cat out of the bag." He was musing the situation figuring Zia might be the most likely one to kill him.
Granted if they didn't figure out they were all on the same side, or as far as he was concerned they were... He might as well do them the favor of telling them. "You sure you don't want me to set it up?" He ran a hand through his still wet hair and grimaced. Right hair didn't magically dry.
