The day after Azzo had talked to Aurora on the phone he was sitting in the same rolly chair waiting for Zia to get back. His feet propped up on the desk and reading a newspaper.
The Lilac haired girl had gone out to do who knows what, and left him there to tend to the three dogs. Merlin was laying on the carpet while the other two had been let outside due to wanting to rough house. He heard the familiar click of the door to the station peeking over his newspaper he saw Zia was indeed back. "Oh there you are."

Zia jumped a little, looking over at Azzo lurking in the chair, knotting her brow. "...Pretty sure I'm not late for curfew, Dad," She said, warily joking. As amusing as this was that it mirrored the old teen movie trope, it was still kind of unsettling.
"What's up?" She asked, sliding off the ranger khaki shirt she'd pretty much just been using as an overshirt for her more fashionable summer outfit choices and getting on her knees to run her fingers through Annabel's coat.
Yet another day without internet, and another day without mobility. Noah was supposed to have driven down with a gas can of salvation two days ago but apparently 'got busy', so her little silver car was going to stay exactly where it was unless someone pushed it.
At least without such amenities, Zia was starting to mellow out. A little. Bitchiness seemed to give way to straight up ten year old mannerisms.

Azzo blinked when she jumped, "At least you didn't think I was some chainsaw massacre." He grinned watching the other two dogs follow her back into the cabin. Oh well there goes peace and quite time. He folded the paper back up and sat it on the desk.
"Oh I have a friend coming up to stay for a few days." He said with a shrug, "I was going to tell you after I talked to her but well you were pretty busy trying to find internet and phone signals." He gave a small smile.
He had wondered why Noah hadn't brought gas for Zia's car or much of anything else. Azzo wondered if he could track down Ellie maybe get her to come out and fix the little car but he wasn't going to offer when he was pretty sure the girl didn't like him after he'd made a fool of himself. "I suppose you haven't heard from Noah either?" He asked hoping maybe she wouldn't be too concerned about another friend coming over.

"A friend? What friend?" Zia asked, suddenly suspicious. To her, this situation was bad enough with Azzo complaining about how she conducted her morning routine or her constant lamentations of being disconnected from the real world.
She didn't think she could handle that and his buddy without becoming the premise for some horror movie where everyone gets murdered alone in the woods.
"Do I know her?" Probably not, since most of the people she knew were down hanging out in the counselor cabins and the ones who weren't were hard picturing being especially close with Azzo. Besides, Marcella or Morgan in the woods? Didn't seem likely.
"Nope. He's apparently 'busy'," She muttered with finger quotes. "Hopefully he'll get off his a** and get down here by the time it's time to go home," She said with a long groan.
But then something clicked. Azzo had invited a girl to come stay with him for a few days. Maybe it was because she had serious issues thinking of Azzo being datable to any girl, but it still had some very serious implications.
"Wait," She said, getting up off the floor where she was sitting with the dogs and grabbing the other rolly chair. One kick off the wall and it had collided right next to Azzo's and she was in his face with her usual 'interrogation' style. "Azzoooooo~," She said in a singsong voice. "Do you have a girlfriiiiend?"

Azzo watched "Uh... well Iunno if you know her." He scratched the back of his head though she went onto the rant about Noah and being busy he sighed.
"We could see if we could get a hold of Ellie?" He paused realized he didn't know her last name, "I know she works on cars, but iunno if she'd come up here to fix yo--..." He didn't get finished before Zia got up.
Oh s**t, his face turned red, "Uhhhhhh..........." He looked at her, "Maybe?" He had the deer in the headlights look.

Zia easily blew off the comment about Ellie. She didn't know who this Ellie person was and she definitely didn't want a stranger messing around with her Impala. They had been through so much together. They had bonded~
Besides, there were far more important matters here.
"D'aaaaaaw~" She cooed, pinching his cheek and quickly withdrawing her hands in case of retaliation.
There was a slight shift in facial expression, though. Obviously a more mature personality had taken over. Guess who.
"Oh don't be so embarrassed, Azzo," She said, crossing her arms. "Isn't snagging a female willing to fornicate with you a badge of honor to your gender?"

Azzo almost squeaked as she pinched his cheek. Oh god this was going to worse than breaking the news to Grams. He totally didn't have anything to hide his face with either. Well the newspaper but this close of a proximity it wouldn't've worked, even if he wanted it to.
Oh thank god the cat took over, he seemed to calm down a little bit "Sorry...." He muttered, "I'm not use to.... wait fornicate? What?" He looked at her strangely. "Should I pretend to know what that means or should I get a dictionary?"
However he had a feeling this was going to end up more awkward than having Zia tease him. If the badge of honor was any indicated he had a feeling she basically meant.... he felt the rush of blood come back to his face, this was as bad as Polaris mentioning she wanted children.

Her face just went blank when he asked for a definition. Did they just not educate Earth-babies anymore?
Quick! Wrack Zia's brain for some Earth slang. Unless he was expecting a clinical explanation. Which she didn't want to do. Didn't his parents talk to him about the birds and the bees?
"Your mate? Regular copulation? Procreation? Azzo, I'm starting to think this is more of a conversation you should be having with a parent," She huffed. What kind of boy at his age wasn't a complete pervert? Well, Zia would argue Chris, but here is where Zirconia was notably, blatantly, and unapologetically biased. Men? They only think with one body part.
"Well!" She said, trying to avoid an awkward silence and getting out one thing she definitely felt needed to be said, "I hope you're not planning on losing that virginity here where I'd have to hear it," She added wit ha shudder and a clear look of disgust.

Azzo's eyes widened ******** she did mean that..... "How the hell does a cat know that word!?" He paused oh right, Zia. He face palmed before sighing, his face probably redder than thought humanly possibly.
"No, no no no no no no no no no. That's an absurd thought!!" He looked at her almost horrified. "We don't even know each other that well......" Okay that was probably a lie, he paused, "...well apparently we knew each other in a past life but that's another life... still NO! She only turned 18!"
He shuddered, " Besides there's a freaking war out there, or did you forget!?" He pointed towards Destiny city. He loved Aurora sure but really did Zirc have to think of that right now. "I have a brain you know."

She had to facepalm at the fact he was surprised a cat knew that word. Mauvians had lives too. Stupid human.
"But you're going to, right? That the whole point of your dating and your goofy little courtship," She said, waving her hand around in a circular motion. "I'm just saying. Not. Here," She said sternly, giving him a very serious fingerpoint and 'I'm not messing around here' expression.'
"Last I checked, war didn't stop random sexual encounters. Actually! I find it tends to increase them a lot."
And then after another awkward pause and some thinking she reiterated: "But seriously, not here."

Azzo's face was red, "Maybe in the future but not now!"
He almost whined at the fact she kept insisting that he'd do anything like that, "Besides we have a tent but nothing's going to happen." Why did he even think telling her was a good idea. "I hardly think she's ready for that and I know I'm not."
He coughed, looking down. "Yeah not here.... besides we haven't even kissed yet." His face was still red. Getting scolded by a cat, really?

"Why do you need a private tent if you're not planning on doing anything?" She asked, getting her usual 'suspicious interrogation' glare as she moved in closer.
When Azzo claimed to have not even kissed her yet, her mental wheels started turning. What? Did he know how dating works? Zirconia was very adamant about all post-pubescent human men having little to think about than sex. Men were disgusting.
"Wait, am I misunderstanding 'girlfriend'?" Was she? Or was he just really bad at this? Maybe he was lying but it was hard to pretend to be that pathetic. "Azzo, I'm not sure you know what you're doing."

"Because Aurora wanted to see what it was like to actually camp. She's never been camping before. And we won't be far, if you really want to keep an eye on us." He was watching her warily as she interrogated him.
He paused looking at her, "Uh...." when she said she wasn't sure he knew what he was doing, he frowned, "You're probably right." He watched the cat hoping she'd back up at least a little, "I mean come on, it's taken me at least two years to tell someone I loved them... well someone other than Grams.... What do you want from me?"
His brows furrowed wondering why Zirc was so amendment about him having to 'fornicate'.

She still looked suspicious, but she flopped back in her chair. Maybe Azzo was defective? Everything in this universe was. Then again, Azzo didn't exactly give off a masculine flair. Maybe he was just a wimp? What kind of girl was even dating him in the first place? Her self esteem was probably minimal, now that she thought about it like that.
"I'm not sure I believe you," She said with slow deliberation. "But, if you're going to be out of here when you do whatever it is you plan on doing I don't really care," That last bit was said with a bit of renewed perkiness to her voice. Azzo out of earshot and the station to herself? Sounds like a quiet, pleasant night. Or privacy for planning more internet procuring shenanigans.

Azzo watched her as she said she didn't believe him, there was a frown. Was she seriously going to be stuck on him doing something bad? "Why wouldn't you believe me?"
He asked looking at her did he seriously look like the type to ask for trouble? It was all rather depressing to think about, Zirciona didn't trust him, did Aurora? "I don't plan on doing anything than making sure Aurora has a nice vacation." His arms folded over his chest.
