The monster dorms were not really known for being the most clean, nor, the most friendly. Some monsters were known to harass others, some to feed on others, some were just...out there. Ones that just were a sort of mish mash. To Israfel, it was a center for learning about those he'd otherwise never see. To know. To feel.

And right now, he was feeling kind of...stuck. He'd been practicing his flying skills and quite frankly he hadn't expected to get stuck, much less due to his clothes of all things. So when he hit the branched he tired to wiggle out of them and got quite far...yet now he was hanging by his jacket as if Grier might have hung a student in one of the lockers. The back of his jacket was just out of his reach, and the lack of ability to just side out of said coat was frustrating.

So, Israfel was stuck outside the monster dorms, waiting for a kind hearted monster or whatever to find him and help him. Not laugh at him as a few passing demons had, (he made a mental note to practice his singing by the demon dorms later that night).

Cleaning Day. With Mei in mind Bul worked up the energy after a failed period of study to clean up his pigsty of a dorm room. It was embarrassing for him especially if he ever wanted to have his ghoulfriend over sometime. From emptying his trash to organizing his clothes Bul practically left his door open for the entirety of the day. When he didn't find a good place to stow something, and if it was worthless enough, he simply stacked it in cardboad boxes once home to large greasy pizzas and left it outside his door.

"Laundry must be done by now.." he muttered to himself prior to shutting his door. Thankfully the laundry room wasn't terribly far away. Just passed a few empty dorms, through the quad and passed the tree with the siren hanging precariously from it.

Bul stopped and turned to see Israfel in his miserable state. "...hey-" he called and stepped closer. "What the hell are you doing?" he asked, assuming the erm... boil? had the means to flutter about with his wings. He knew this peculiar being from before. Every time he had to question himself he simply dismissed trying to identify.

"Do.. you need help?"

Israfel was just swinging back and forth at this point, making attempts to whistle at some passing pasrains who were really rather friendly. A few even took up to resting near him and tweeting back. Not very good conversationalists, but at least some company with which to pass the time. It was when they flew off that Israfel realized he was being addressed.

"Oh Hi!" He tried to wave but was kind of more like his arm flailed about. "I was trying to fly but um-" He spun a bit and was stuck facing the other way. "I got stuck." From the looks of it, he was unable to do much else aside from swing and sing. Which given his nature, Israfel had contemplated for a while before the birds had shown up to keep him company. His singing might have driven everyone away and then he would have been stuck even longer.

A small bounce and a flap of his wings and Israfel spun again, back to facing the red boil. "Would you? I tried to fly out but all that did was get me more stuck. And poked by the branches. I don't usually mind pokes but the branched hurt okay? Like, one almost got me in the eye. And I only have got two of them!"

With a moment of hesitation Bul shrugged and leaned his weight on one hip as he looked to ponder on how in the world to solve this puzzle or perhaps how it still came to be. Eventually he looked down at the base of the tree then to the closest branch which for his tall stilt legs wasn't too hard to reach.

"Just hang tight and don't wriggle any..." he said as he started to scale the tree, using his claws to dig into the bark though mostly scratching off large chunks of it. Once he was within reach of the siren's legs he tugged them carelessly to see if he'd budge much but then realized where the problem was hooking his shirt. "Okay..."

Using his tail as a hook, he wrapped it around the base of the tree and did a little less strategic climbing to reach where Israfel's shirt was snagged and unraveled it while keeping an arm extended as not to let him fall though there was no guarantee the branches would carry either of their weight.

At Bul's words Israfel froze and hung from the branch like statue. His wings and feathers as flat as they could be, and eyes open and wide. Deer in headlight could have been accurate if not for the fact that he was looking right at Bul, expecting the boil to do some kind of magical act.

As Bul untangled his shirt, Israfel was feeling more and more anxious and impatient. Soon he'd be free and then he was swearing off dramatic swooping. At least where trees were concerned. The creaking and cracking of wood wasn't helping as the other monster finally got the siren free of the plant's ironbark grip.

It was at that moment that the tree sought it's revenge. A sickening snap and another crack and Israfel felt himself falling like a rock, still not moving per Bul's request. As he felt himself hit the ground, and the branch clattered, Israfel thought that by now, moving, and freaking out over his savior was alright. "Candlejack! You okay? I'm sorry oh jack I'm sorry I didn't think the tree would break. It didn't hit you did it? Do I need to get nurse cricket? Or, or, I took her class and I think that makes me okay to bandage things! I did bandaging before at school field trips but I'm not sure that counts...but are you okay? You are okay right? Right? Right? Ri-"

He was panicking, but only just slightly.

OOPS-

There was a very unpleasant noise coming from between Bul and Israfel and soon the tree claimed its two victims into a heap on the ground. The fall wasn't too painful but the scraping of the bark on his skin wasn't at all soft. "Gaaaah..." Bul groaned and looked up to make sure the other was okay and not crushed. "You uh-"

Bul let the siren get it out of its system before holding a hand up to dismiss it. "No uh.. I'm good just a little scrape-" He looked down and saw on the side of his arm little tiny buds of blood. His tail thumped the ground on its own in discomfort but his face seemed rather calm. "Just stings a little is all. Woulda been worse if it were just a bit higher up." Turning to Israfel he smiled uneasily. "But are you okay? I mean I'm uh.. pretty sure I'm a lot more weight to be dropped didn't break your leg or anything right?" He figured the other was okay by the way he was freaking out but gave them the benefit of the doubt.

Israfel's wings twitched experimentally, a few bits of wood fell out, nothing harmful. Earwings flicked back and forth before remaining skyward. A blank look as he fell back and looked himself over. Nothing visible seemed to be wrong. A quick wigling of his toes and fingers and Israfel smiled. "Yep! I'm fine! You got me down and I actually didn't break anything so uh-" The siren blinked. "Yay!" Hands went up in the air. Nothing outward was broken, but mentality wise it was hard to tell.

The sight of blood did get him riled again. "Oh jack, you got hurt!" He looked at the would for a while, earwings flicking. "....I will heal you." He sounded serious. He had a serious face on. He also pulled a wad of bandaged from his back pocket like he'd always had them. Maybe he did. Maybe he was just over prepared.

Or maybe he was just paranoid. Hard to tell.

There was something highly unsettling about how excited the siren was but there was no way he could intensify anything about the small injury... could he?

"...Did you just-" Bul watched him unravel the wad of bandages and glanced back to his scrape. "Do you think you'll need all of that?" he asked and finally felt his tail settle behind him. Looking back up at the tree he realized it was kinda a rough drop. When your legs arent underneath you to stop the fall its different. "And wait, you mentioned nurse Cricket?" A look of almost horror sweeped over his face. "Nuuu... uh... I don't think we need to get her, trust me, it'll.. it'll be okay." It had been just days before that he had his incident in her classroom.

Irsafel was all business. He was going to put his training from school to practical use. He was going to repay the act of kindness right on back like a boss! Looking toward the roll in his hands, the clean bandages begged to be used. "..." He gave Bul a smile. "Yes." He was going to use it all because this boil had saved him, he clearly deserved the best. Clearly.

As he began to wrap the small wound, the siren's head nodded as his earwings flicked around. "Yup! Nurse Cricket! She's pretty cool. I mean- wait." Pulling back Blue eyes blinked as he remembered class. "Didn't I have you in class with her? You were all...er-" Bandage wrapping took a small pause and he stared in silence.

".........." his face went back and forth between shock, confused and curious. "It's okay, I got this though." The arm was wrapped all the way, yet he kept wrapping it.

He was going to use the whole roll apparently.

Perhaps Bul would be more appreciative of the concern if it didn't suffocate his limbs so much. Still protesting was out of the question-

Bul averted his eyes when Israfel looked up and nervously scratched the back of his head with his free hand. "Uh, yea I was.." Leaving that unsaid was a good compromise to the boil. "Yeah."

On and on, round and round the gauze seemed to go on forever. If the siren didn't tie it too tight Bul wouldn't mind leaving it on for a day as to honor the valiance of it.

"Thanks you're my hero?" Ironic.

It was awkward for a good while as Israfel finished wrapping the limb, which was now more or less a giant fabric covered wad of whatever. So far as careers went, 'Nurse' seemed to not be on Israfel's choice list. As the roll tapped out, Israfel gave it a nice neat bow.

Sitting back he looked at it and frowned. "Jack damn it I think I gave you a cast." Arms crossed he shrugged. "Well, it'll still heal right?" A smile came over his expression as he watched the other Boil. "You're the hero! I was stuck forever! Like, hours." He made it sound more dramatic then it really was. "I probably would have been stuck until dinner...or if one of the grounds keeper's hounds found me. But, he might have just left me here." A sigh passed before Israfel snapped out of it. "Oh I almost forgot, I'm Israfel. We..never got really intoduced, I've only ever seen you in passing. So you're a monster? How long you been here? Do you have a ghoul friend? What is you favorite class? Do you think Professor Red needs to dress up more, she pretty but doesn't flaunt it. Am I talking to much?"

"I think I am."
PostPosted: Wed Jun 29, 2011 2:49 pm

"Pretty much," Bul agreed and exaggerated the weight when he lifted his arm and dropped it lifelessly into the ground. "But yes it will heal and that is all that matters."

While Israfel was a little animated Bul didn't doubt he'd been there for that long. "I actually get tangled in branches sometimes just walking along casually. Having stilts for legs isn't exactly the dream." Having never met the groundskeeper though he shrugged. "Maybe. Wouldn't doubt it with the staff here yanno?" He didn't mean to insult the siren but it was the case with a lot of the professors. Especially if it weren't life threatening.

"I'm Unstabul. Yea I don't think we-"

Letting him continue to talk Bul just smiled, and did what he could to answer them, even if out of order. "I do have a ghoulfriend and she's a monster like me. I've been here for about year now though and I know for a fact that my favorite class is Music which I know your face from." On the subject of Red, Bul shrugged. He didn't know what to think of her considering he was too busy in that class getting eaten by skitter sharks.

Israfel nodded at the healing assessment. He'd done good by the monster, but still would consider himself ever thankful to the tall boil. Earwings flicking the siren sat and listened to his questions being answered. The fact he wasn't interjecting was almost amazing in itself.

"Ohhhhh Music! And-" Eye widened. "The tuba." The tuba was not to be discussed. "I.....I want to learn how t sing but er-" He sighed. "Yeahhhh...it's difficult." Standing he offered a hand, for whatever good it might do. "So um Unstabul..I can just call you Bul right?"
PostPosted: Sun Jul 10, 2011 9:10 pm

"Tuba eh? Kinda a drag I suppose," Bul rocked his wrists some before pushing himself up and patting the siren on the shoulder. "Well all you gotta do is just practice. Practice practice practice. Is Blue willing to help you or..?"

He recalled the professor sounded very bitter towards him but it was only a feeling.

"Bul's alright by the way, you just prefer Israfel?"
