Dead.

Dead.

Dead.

Alshain. Saiph. Hammie. Gabbie.

Dead.

Her mother had broken the news to her as gently as she could, but she had refused to believe it. She had shouted. She had said horrible things, to her mother of all people. At that point her father had intervened, snatching her by the shoulders to give her a light shake as if that would somehow snap her out of her hysterics.

It hadn't. Not for more than a moment, at least; just long enough for her to grab the small purse that she kept her henshin pen in before dashing out the door...

Rain had fallen that day, which she supposed, in some way, was fitting. There was still a cool mist clinging to the ground, weaving around her ankles as she made a dash down the street towards the cathedral not far from Crystal Academy. No longer as religious as she had once considered herself to be, Cordelia Carden still felt as though this was a safe place. She often came here to think... And now? Now she was coming here to escape.

She tore her jacket off once she crossed onto the grounds, tossing it down as she panted for breath, not entirely certain that she would ever find it. Tears streamed hot down her face as her eyes opened to gaze at the henshin pen in her hand. Why had Chloe given this to her? If she hadn't she never would have met Saiph; never would have known Gabbie or Hammie... It wouldn't hurt this badly.

A cry like that of a wounded animal fell from her lips as she dropped to her knees, sobbing for a moment before gathering herself together enough to call out the name of her constellation. This was probably the worst time to power up, but she needed a fight... And if she couldn't go find them she would somehow bring one to herself.

As the heels of her shoes touched the ground, Super Sailor Corvus let out another wail, this one considerably louder than the last. "Give them back. Do you hear me? Give them back!!"

Once the senshi had powered up, she would have felt another Aura close by. Strong, stronger than hers.... but also it had a slightly familiar tingle to her own. Yet it also felt dark.

If corvus had never run across a corrupted senshi before, the feeling might have confused her.

None the less, the random addition of a Aura close by also had Lyra intrigued. She looked around for a few, not finding the source being as aura detection was not a fine art... until she finally saw her. The super senshi... whom was acting very weird, and calling out hysterically. Standing close up on the roof tops... she observed for a little bit. Confusion settling in, she pulled something out of the negaspace (given to her recently) and 'dialed' up a all too familiar number.

"Zink?" She said after a pause as she guessed it...rang? Did these things ring? "There is a ah... Senshi acting very odd near me. Shes screaming about giving something back to her... i think she lost something, sanity not included."

"Interesting..." came the soft murmur in return. "Where are you...I'll be right there." He said and, good to his word as soon as she had given her location he appeared, not too distant from where she stood. He moved closer, his gaze sweeping as he searched for the heart of the senshi energy... the 'pure' senshi energy till he saw her more clearly.

"...I see..." He said quietly, as he drew up beside Lyra. "You wouldn't happen to have a tissue would you? Perhaps we should see what she lost... though prepare yourself for a fight, If she's screaming like this I don't think we're in for a civil dialog."

As though to lead by example he palmed, very carefully one of his small smoke crystals and nodded her to lead the way.

Had Corvus been paying any attention at all to anything but the feeling of rage coupled with grief unlike any she'd ever felt before she might have felt the nearby aura's; or might have at least acted as though she cared if she had felt it. The Negaverse seemed to be the very least of her problems at the moment. With how loudly she was going on, she had to at least be expecting to be found, didn't she?

When her demands were met with no answer her gloved fingers balled into fists as though that alone would somehow be enough to let her tap into her destructive power. It wasn't, of course, and that only seemed to frustrate her more, resulting in another shriek as she tilted her head back.

"....Is there something wrong?" The corrupted senshi said, stepping out of the darkness heading towards the super senshi. Her voice chimed with a edge of childish innocence, it rang with curiosity. Probably because behind those words, she really was curious.

She had no clue if Zink was close behind or hiding somewhere and watching. Maybe a senshi talking to a senshi would make sense..... Lyra, after all, looked senshi. Even if her aura suggested otherwise. Maybe the other will not notice something was off.

"Whats bothering you... can i do anything?" A few more paces forward, heels clacking on the pavement. Close enough to get a good view of the senshi. if corvus wanted to, with one good senshi lunge she would be right on top of Lyra.

Zinkenite held back, waiting... he watched, drawing back as far as he could without loosing sight of them. Listening as best as he could. There was something beautiful about this... dark and light and all the twist of emotions in between.

Give them back...were they corrupted or dead... only time owuld tell.

The voice; so innocent as it entered her mind, surrounded by so many dark thoughts it was almost drowned out... It was the second set of questions that brought her back, for the moment, pulling her away from that dangerous edge.

"There isn't anything you can do... Unless you can raise the dead." She murmured softly, eyes distant, not really focusing at all on the young woman despite the strange prickling sensation that something wasn't quite right; that she should be paying more attention, not less.

"It just keeps on claiming them; one by one until nothing is left..." She swallowed hard, shoulders shifting as her fingers clenched again, bringing that storm back to her eyes. "I don't... I don't even know what really happened."

Looking back over her shoulder, she peered into the darkness almost asking 'what does she mean raise the dead? can we?'. Well she was thinking that anyways, a confused expression.

"Im sorry this....death keeps claiming things from you." Her voice came out a little choked. Stagnant. Dare she approach closer?

She took a few more steps closer, both from curiosity and from foolishness. "Im sure there is some way i can help... though i dont know if this 'raise the dead' is possible." She was careful not to say 'we'. 'We' meant there was more than one.

It was actually a involuntary response, but it was ingrained. Protect.

He tensed at her use of the word 'we' but forced himself to relax again, no... it wasn't so bad. People sometimes used that in connotation for a group...rather than 'company immediately present'. If she remained distraught and distracted he could linger still out of sight till her trust and interest had been won. How delighted might she be with a promise of forgetting?

"It's going to keep claiming people as long as this stupid war is waging." Her eyes darkened, a turbulent storm brewing behind them. Every inch of her wanted to exact revenge in the name of her fallen comrades, even if it hadn't been the Negaverse who had been responsible for their departure from this world... She would never know, though, if it had just been an accident that had claimed them or if it had been something more. Never...

Her fingers balled tightly into fists once more and she let out another enraged wail, wanting so desperately to just obliterate something... Or forget, not that she was certain she could bring herself to admit that out loud. How many times had she thought about just how perfect it would be to go back to who she had been before all of this, even if it would've meant being alone again.

"I just..." Angry tears spilled down her face, hampering her from completing the thought as she tried futilely to wipe them away. She was so weak like this; so very weak and vulnerable...

It was an opening he couldn’t resist, reaching to touch Lyra’s shoulder he moved forward, brushing dangerously close but never quite touching the distraught senshi. “It just hurts, right? An ache in your chest that won’t go away, the important pieces of your life snapped up and you, here, alone…” a sympathetic tone, like he understood that loss implicitly. “Memories of it haunting you, twisting the knife deeper, opening that would for the world to pluck at and all they do is stare because no one –really- understands unless they have that kind of a fresh wound themselves do they.”

He tipped his head, blue eyes meeting her own, sincere, and piercing. “… If we could offer you forgetting, freedom from that pain.” He leaned forward, just slightly so it wasn’t invasive, it was almost friendly. He offered her an open hand, palm up for the taking like some gentleman of old.

“If we could offer a new beginning, would you take that? No more pain, no more heart ache, wide open eyes to a fresh start and welcomed, protected.”

He knew. Somehow this Negaverse b*****d knew. He spoke about her pain; the memories and the darkness as though what she felt was something that he was almost intimately familiar with in a way that no one else so far had been able to understand. He knew.

Her face twisted with a renewed sense of pain and a touch of madness as her eyes met his. She could see promise there; hope of some sort in the offer that he was making... And Super Sailor Corvus extended her hand.

Gloved fingers brushed against his palm. It felt warm... Welcoming in a way that she didn't ever think anyone from the Negaverse could be. He was petite, shorter than she was, but he seemed stronger... Strong enough to help her to her feet, at least, but she didn't get up; not yet.

Could his promise really be trusted? "... How? How would you do that?" She murmured, asking a question she wasn't sure she wanted an answer to; one she shouldn't have asked at all.

Stepping in close, she offered a second hand to the girl on the ground... so if she wished it, she could choose which hand to take, or even take them both to hoist herself up.

"I know not the mechanics of it.." She looked towards Zink, he would probably be the best to explain that part in his own way. "But i can say that what he promised... is true."

Free hand lifting up to her chest, Lyra pressed a hand delicately to the hole that remain there. While her clothing did a good job of covering it, it was still there as a reminder to the once broken girl that the negaverse had welcomed with open arms. Her once twinkling star seed now resided within the center of said hole, tarnished and discolored, but very much alive.

"I speak from experience on that matter."
