Most of the minipets that were slated to be given away by the Host Club had actually ended up going to the visitors, which was a bit of a surprise, but a good one. The lightning dragon had just come from spending some time packing those up and sending them out - along with some squee-mails to let their new owners know they were coming.
But this minipet was actually going to someone on campus - Maritess, to be exact - so he'd decided to hand-deliver the thing. The Wishing Colony was currently resting in the crook of one arm, eyes narrowed as it glared at the world around them. Small bits of armor dug into Aksaja's skin a bit, but he wasn't about to loosen his grip just in case the thing took it into its head to run off.
Not that that was likely, the Wishing Colonies tended to be fairly calm - even a bit on the depressed side at times. Padding up to the ghoul's door finally, Aksaja knocked politely. "Maritess . . . ? Are you home?"

Maritess was currently stressing out over Prom. Well, not the actual preparations. She had help with the dress and she had a Date! An honest-to-FEARness actual date that was not coerced, purchased, or otherwise manipulated. She was freaking out about it to be quite frank. It also did not help that a certain appendage was skittering suspiciously in circles around her, sharp nails clicking together warnings in Morse code for the winged ghoul.
"I already told you, I am going unescorted," she insisted, arms folding defensively across her chest at the blatant lie. "You've been here for months and I have not once put a toe out of line. So to speak. I study and do my homework and am the proper little wall-weed you insist I am! When have you seen anyone pay me any vi-"
"Maritess . . . ? Are you home?"
Crimson eyes blinked. Who the Jack?
Esmerelda was off in a flash to open the door and reveal the lightning dragon who awaited outside.
"A-Aksaja!" Tess gasped.

The sight of a disembodied hand opening the door startled him for just a moment, until the lightning dragon realized it was some kind of minipet. A weird one, but hey . . . to each their own. A lot of people didn't like the Mimics after all.
"Hello again," he said with a little bow and a faint smile. "I know that it's been a few days since Open House closed, but things have been a bit busy and I've just now gotten a chance to deliver the prizes from the tea-raffle."
Running a hand over the Wishing Colony's head to rub at its ears a bit, he went on, "So, I came to bring this little guy to you."

"O-oh! Thank you, Aksaja! That's very considerate of you. Would you like to-" Whatever good mood Tess might have had upon discovering she'd won the darling little Wishing Colony disappeared the instant Esmerelda launch herself at the poor minipet. It was undoubtedly for a thorough and unnecessary inspection but that was Esmerelda for you.
A severely angry frown crossed Tess' pale features as crimson eyes narrowed venomously at the hand. "Esme, stop that!" She commanded, her hands balling into fists at the governess-slash-minipet's antics. Worse still, Esmerelda seemed like she wasn't content with just inspecting the Wishing Colony.
Oh no. Jack no. Esme had her cuticles set on the lightning dragon carrying the little minipet.

Aksaja's eyes widened just a little bit as one of Tess's minipets quite suddenly launched itself at the Wishing Colony in his arms. Not to mention that said minipet was . . . a severed hand. Pretty much. Or at least, that's what it looked like.
And what in the Jacking hell was it doing now? Ooookay, enough of that. Aksaja let go of the Wishing Colony with one hand and attempted to somehow fend off the minipet. Though he wasn't entirely sure how well that was going to work.

Had Maritess her legs, she would have used them to launch herself forward into a lunge, arms outstretched, trying to make a grab for the hand. Instead, she used her large wings to swoop forward, managing to snatch the offending appendage before Esme could do anything to Aksaja.
"I-I'm really, really sorry about Esmerelda," Tess gasped, keeping her grip firm even as the minipet squirmed and struggle to free herself from the winged ghoul.

The Wishing Colony was also squirming a bit at this point, its little eyes wide. "It's all right . . . I just . . . hope it's not going to do that a whole lot. Think it freaked him out a little bit," the lightning dragon replied with a faint smile. "Anyway, ah, you were saying?"

Truth be told, whatever it was Tess was initially going to suggest to Aksaja had left her mind the instant Esmerelda performed her little inspection. A faint embarrassed blush appeared on her face, "I-I, uh, th-that is, I think I've forgotten what it was I was originally going say. O-other than thank you so much for taking the trouble of bringing this little darling all the way to my dorm. You can set him down, I-I'll make sure Esme doesn't lay another finger on him."
The hand in question clicked her nails menacingly together.

"Well . . . all right," Aksaja murmured at that, though it was fairly clear that both he and the Wishing Colony minipet doubted this. Moving slowly then, he lowered the small creature toward the ground, keeping an eye on the nail-clicking hand.
Glancing back up at Tess, he shook his head a bit. "And it's all right, I don't think I would remember either."
