The sun was past its high point in the sky. Now, the shadows grew from the base of trees and bushes, creeping along the savannah. At the edge of a lake, a pale green leopard tilted his head into his reflection. He stopped, for a moment, eyes tracing the details of his face. Moments later, his head tilted to the other side. At the edges of his mouth, his lips twitched upwards into a smile. Laisad had always been a chipper leopard. Sure, it had been maybe a day or two since a successful hunt. Sure, he had been wandering alone, now, for more days than he could remember. But hey, there was always tomorrow, right?
The leopard stood, stretching his back and giving a wide yawn. He didn't know where he was going, yet. He knew there was a destination out there, but he was waiting for it to find him rather than the other way around. You know, destiny and what not. But just because Laisad was a sort of 'sit and wait for it to hit you' sort of character, it didn't mean that he didn't going around looking for some sort of entertainment in his life. So, here he was. Another day, another little adventure.

The daylight wasn't really her thing, but she was very thirsty. The day had been long, and she hadn't been able to sleep. Which wasn't that unusual for her. She had lots of bad sleeping habits. Never able to really trust a new place for the first week or so. Amnehodenphinix sighed as she finally saw a lake near by. Though, she hadn't noticed the male there. Or rather, she didn't care that he was there. If she pretended he wasn't there, then maybe he'd leave her alone. Unlikely though, but it was worth a shot.
She moved swiftly, and with easy. Not making one mistake as she moved closer to the water. Her eyes focused on the water, trying hard not to look at the other leopard directly. She could see him in the corner of her eye, and that was good enough. If he tried something, she'd have no problem having time to defend herself. Though, for the moment, she was just pretending he didn't exist. Well, as much as someone like her could do anyways. She wondered in the back of her mind how long it'd take him to notice her. Would she be able to get to the lake for a quick drink? Would she be able to disappear after words, like she was never there?
