Today was no different than any other day at the Asylum. Outside it was just as gloomy as it was inside. The patients shuffled about doing their daily routines, and the staff did the same. For Anesha, the Latias did her best to at least bring a little sunshine to the dreary place, always wearing a light smile on her face everywhere she went. Long sleek red wings wavered slightly as her boots clicked gently on the ground upon her rounds along the corridors. Even when she received scowls, or spits from a few of the passerby's, it didn't waver her... at least externally. Inside, she couldn't help but feel bad for the inhabitants here.. How much pain and suffering they'd been through... the looks on their faces. Feeling herself getting a big drawn too deep into her thoughts, Anesha had to take a deep breath, and exhale slowly. There was no time to dwell on such thoughts. Smile returning to its cheery disposition, she continued on down the hallway, her current goal not set. Mostly she was just perusing, and seeing how everyone was doing. If someone needed her, and the like.

( Gouges and acid burns come courtesy of the battle with alien during the gijinka event. )

User ImageAfter an epic battle between himself and a beautiful human, his savior, against a gigantic, nightmarish, buglike creature, Nigel was able to drag himself away from the scene. He remembered nothing after it rolled on top of him, but somehow fortune smiled upon him and he awoke, in pain, bleeding, burning, but he was alive. A weak search had revealed the creature's carcass nearby, but no sign of the girl. Satisfied that she had escaped (probably believing the umbreon gijinka dead), he had crawled off to... who knew where, firmly believing that she must have saved him.

He felt the cold press of a wall against his back and the floor against his arm and thigh. He had gone as far as he could go before first his knees, then elbows, and finally shoulders and hips had collapsed with fatigue. The dismal halls were becoming darker still as consciousness faded before him once again - how many times have I passed out already? But each time he slept, he was relieved of the burden of pain and the worry that he had lost too much blood. I'll be okay. I'm always okay. I haven't... found him yet.

With a soft whine, his forehead met the floor and his hat slid off, rolling several feet down the hall. The only indication that the boy was alive were the nightlight-faint glowing bands around his limp ears and tail, pulsing slowly as if following the rhythm of his shallow breath.
