LOL- how about starting a fight with emerald, putting the controller down and walking away, comming back in 20 min and the fights over... heh....

sweatdrop Truth be told this even sounds like bull to me, (Hence me voteing that myself, lol) but seeing it done makes me want to at least try it; whee and hopefully have fellow FF7 lovers try and see how it turns out and explain to me what happen since I'm no where near that point in the game to even fight Emerald anymore. sweatdrop So yeah, stare don't rag on me about this. You think its bull then vote as I did and give it a try. If it's true then tell me how it went and what you did, and if it's false just post that you tried and it didn't work. sweatdrop Even though that wont stop me from trying once I get the chance. This trick only works in the japanese version. The english version wont have that trick working because of the way they solved glitches like that. Though the result also was the loss of some of the story such as the revival of aeris which is ONLY AVAILABLE IN THE JAPANESE VERSION. So unless your playing the japanese version dont bother trying.

sweatdrop Not really, this is mainly about beating Emerald so you didnt really get off topic. whee But yeah in my whole life I've beaten him once and the strategy I used was Quadra Magic + Demi equiped to Barret, and Mime equiped to Tifa and Cloud. sweatdrop I only had KOTR where I could use it twice so thats how many times I did it. Then I had Barret use Demi 1 cause all the Demi's take 9999 away from Emerald, so it's just a waste of MP useing Demi 2 or 3, and had Tifa and Cloud mime use mine the whole time. When their limits got up I used them and I used the Cure 3 + All combination alot. Its like I went into attack phases (useing Demi on Emerald) and healing phases (casting Big Guard with Barret and cure 3 on everyone), after the healing phases I had Barret use demi and continued mimeing and useing limit breakers.

gonk And It sucks that I had sold my morph materia cause that made it impossible for me to get the underwater materia! whee I beat emerald with exactly 16 seconds to spare (and I wrote this number down in my ff7 guide). @_@ I still havent beat Ruby up to this day.

Actually the materia needed is Mime+Counter (( Support )), and you need eight linked slots in armour and weapon to acheive it.

Hero Drink raises your critical hit rate I believe, so using two results in a doubly boosted critical hit rate.

Cloud raises Barrets crit.

Barret uses Ungarmax

EMERALD counters back.

Barret counters eight times with Ungarmax, hitting lots of criticals. Meaning instant death to EMERALD. The Counter materia, support version counter attacks with paired command materia, so he counters with the Mime command, and because he has eight links of the same materia, he counters Mimes eight times with his limit, easy shtuff.

Keeping in mind each materia equipped to him has to be mastered, because the Missing Score does more damage according to the amount of AP Barret's Materia has, so if all the Materia is mastered, you'll be hitting maximum damage like this guy is.

What the hell kind of an item was alowing Barret to burst out with Limit Breaks all over that things a**?!?!
