Intro

While still inside the location of the first exam a proctor will approach each of the various groups and hand each person with their own scroll. Much like the last exam the scrolls will only react to the voice and name of the pertaining shinobi and once read their message will fade out of existence, incapable of retrieval. When finished, the scroll will be returned to the waiting proctor before being led out with your newly formed teams into the new testing zone.

Through the back of the hut and into the forest area behind will each team be led in complete silence, the weight of their scrolls being left to weigh in their minds until finally arriving at the location. In the center of the forest, hidden amongst thick mass of trunks lays a large silver well. Two proctors stand on either side of the well with their hands out stretched to gesture for the teams to come closer. Once close enough it can be seen that a ladder stretches from the mouth to the the dark abyss below. You are instructed to go down and that the test will begin the moment you hit the bottom.

The Test
"I regret to inform you that this was a trap. If you care to look up, the path you entered from has been blocked off and as you listen to me a toxin is being released into the air. You will have three hours before the toxin spreads throughout your entire body and begins to eat away at your nervous system." A voice boomed out at the bottom of the ladder, the faint light that had been from the entrance disappearing as the well was sealed off, leaving you and your company to listen in complete darkness. "Do believe this is a real toxin and one that has taken many potentials from us in the past." The voice stated, dim fire light errupting from torches laid about the entire tunnel, quickly revealing the skeletal remains of former contestants as well as the path that the tunnel took. "However, at the end of the tunnel there is an antidote... If you can get to it, you will be released from here. That is if you can make it."

---Step 1---
Once you and your team is ready to move it will take 50 Lines to begin navigating the long, spiraling path of the tunnel. As you continue on you'll notice that the walls seem to close in as the path becomes more and more narrow, the torches coming more and more seldom until you are reduced to shuffle side by side through the darkness.
The path will eventually widen dramatically as you hit a pitfall. It will take an Normal Disguise Awareness check vs 500 to notice the pit in time, if failed that player will fall in and it will take 50 lines to climb back out. If a player fails by 20 or more, then they are considered to have fallen bad and twisted their ankle (They will take -5% to any further checks in this test and cause all line counts to be increased by 25 lines to show how they're slowing the team down.)
Now that you are aware of the pitfall, you will notice that it extends for several feet before the path starts again and the only way to get to the other side to jump across as the other side of the hole is too smooth to climb back out of. To make it across will take a check of Strength+Agility vs 250, if a player fails they will fall back into the pit and if they fail by 20 or more, then they are considered to have fallen bad and hurt themselves in some hindering fashion (They will take -5% to any further checks in this test and cause all line counts to be increased by 25 lines to show how they're slowing the team down.) However, if another player has already successfully gotten over they can attempt to catch a falling player with a check of Strength+Agility vs The Falling Player's Weight, success means they caught and pulled the player back up, however if they fail the player will continue to fall in, If they fail by 20 or more they will also be dragged back down into the pit, and If they fail by 40 or more they would have fallen along so badly that they will also get hurt. It takes 50 Lines for each player to climb there way back out of the pit before trying again.

---Step 2---
Once all players have made it across the pit it will take 50 more lines to continue navigating the tunnel. As you continue down the path you will notice irregularities with the path, the ground level will continuously raise and drop at strange and dramatic intervals and from deeper on the tunnel the sound of turning gears can be heard. Once again you and your group will be faced with a challenge before being allowed to continue on.
Spanning over the next thirty yards the ground is split up amongst several panels, each of which are shifting from one place; either up and down, back and forth, or left and right... each at varying speeds.
To get across it will take a check of Agility vs 750 and if failed you will slip and fall, leaving yourself at the mercy of the tumbling and turning floors to eventually(50 Lines) push you back to where you began. But if they do succeed they will find a switch on the other side that will allow them to simply turn the trap off.
However you can make an Normal Disguise Awareness Check vs 350 to see if there is any trick to overcoming this obstacle in a simpler fashion. If successful, the player will notice that amongst the moving panels 2 have the kanji of at least 1 of the 12 hand seals written upon them, leading them to conclude that if a person could make it to that specific panel and preform the handseal they could possible stop the trap.
To make it to the first panel it will take 50 lines and a check of Agility vs 200, if successful they will have one chance to shut off the panel by preforming the handseal and focusing their chakra into the panel, which will be a check of Seal Spd vs 300. If successful the first half of panels will stop moving instantly, however if they fail either of the two checks they will end up being tumbled back to the beginning. To get to the second panel they must repeat this process, but if they fail they will have to restart this entire step.

---Step 3---
After 50 more lines of navigating through the tunnel you and your group will find yourselves at a dead end. After a few moments the same voice from the beginning of the tunnel will speak up, "Congratulations on making it this far... but your trail is not over. I am sure you have not forgotten what was written on the scroll given to you back at the first exam." The words were left to loom in the air for the contestants to take in. After another moment the solid wall that blocked their way shook and rumbled before cracking open slightly to reveal a soft, white light. "Beyond this wall lays the vials that will either damn you to death or carry you back to good health. There is no trick to these vials in any sense, they are all placed on the shelf of what they are meant to do... The task here, however, is to decide amongst the lot of you one person who will enter this room and retrieve these vials. You must place your lives into one of the hands of your team mates and trust that they will reward your trust... Can you do that?"

Once the player is chosen, the wall will continue to open up just enough for that one person to enter before closing right after them. Within they will be faced with two shelves of multiple, unmarked vials. One shelf will be marked to carry poisoned vials while the other will be marked to carry vials with the antidote. Once the player has chosen who will receive what they will be allowed to return to their peers and the wall will close behind them. At that moment the voice will speak up again, "This is your final part of this test. Do you truly trust the person you have chosen? In their hands they carry the antidote... or a poison. There can be nothing done to make them prove which is what. You will either have to trust them or not. If you drink the poison you will more then likely die, if decide to not take the vial at all you will still be healed by a proctor... IF the vial was actually poison. Make your choices wisely, I wish you all luck."

Quote:
Once you have decided on the player that you will send into the room please do as follows:
1) Each Player must post in an OOC Box the name of the player they RPically choose (Majority rules in this situation)
2) The chosen player must PM me which Player they are giving what vial to RPically. (You don't have to tell them what vial you are giving them.)
3) Each reciprocate must post in an OOC Box if they drink the vial or not.

Notes/Tips
-Each Scroll was custom tailored and RPically are written from the proctors.
-You are not to share what's in your scroll RPically or OOC wise at all.
-Getting to the end of the tunnel isn't enough, you must complete your task.
-Killing Invaders is always a bonus, but killing an ally is a no no... But leaving any invaders alive is the worst!
-Same rules apply from the first exam(Except the use of buffs). It is flat out not allowed to reveal info from your scroll

Secret Revealed!
-If you have multiple people over the hole, you may use each other to help others to get across as well. The check is made by the fastest player, and if that person doesn't they are considered not to help and goes on to whoever else is left.
Agi(Of the fastest player) + Str(Of the fastest player) + (1/2)Str)Of each helping character) vs Weight
.... However if you fail the check, all of you will fall at once and will take the Damage Penalty due to the amount of people falling. This stacks upon whatever damage they were going to take.

-If you have successfully shut down the first half of the panels down, you may try to run across in the same fashion as before you shut down the first half of the panels. However the check will now be cut in half for a vs of 375 instead of 750.

Hibiki's eyebrows shot upwards out of surprise as he was handed another scroll by one of the proctors. "Hibiki Inuzuka." He spoke quietly as the scroll unraveled itself and revealed it's instructions. With the look of surprise still on his face, he rolled the scroll up before the words began to disintegrate into an inky mess and handed it back to the proctor with a small 'thanks'. Him and Kuro exchanged worried looks before following the proctor through the back door.

Outside, a massive forest was waiting for him and his group. The smell of the foliage was a relief to the Vulpine duo (you cannot fathom how horrible the smell of hundreds of sweaty genin must be like). However, Hibiki didn't have time for the small pleasures, he had to figure out the clue and instruction he was given to secretly. It wasn't the most pleasant of messages, he thought, but what part of a Mist Shinobi's life is pleasant?

Apparently, their next test involved a well of some sort. Two proctors stood on the side with the blankest of expressions, it was rather unnerving. They motioned for the group to go inside the structure via a ladder into the inky black depths below. Hibiki growled as he climped up and over the edge and quickly made his way down the ladder, with Kuro at the top. As soon as his feet touched the damp bottom, the Inuzuka whistled once and Kuro leaped off the edge of the well and into Hibiki's outstretched arms.

Once everyone reached the dark bottom, a voice boomed from above. As the proctor began explaining their situation, the well began to seal up and everything was being plunged into darkness. "Hey!" Hibiki roared as his voice reverberated off the sides of the well. The voice continued to explain how deadly toxin was being thrown into the mix and that there was an antidote at the end of the newly lit tunnel. The wild-haired Genin's face drooped into a frown as he pondered the situation, "If it will take three hours to spread through a human body, how long does Kuro have?" He questioned out loud in panic. He glared at the tunnel present before them and growled slightly, "I'll go first, unless anyone else would like to?"

Kira eyed the girl carefully. He was uneasy at the fact that he didn't have the proper time to see if she were either ally or invader, but as hibiki stated.. The time for that no longer matterd. Kira just smiled wide and shook her hand.

After a short while the voice came over the pa again. He looked at the new scroll that was presented before him. Kira Moto the scroll opened before him and revealed the hint to succeeding the 2nd exam. what does this mean? Kira shot a quick glance at both of his teammates then back down to his scroll. The hint had sent a shiver through his spine.. 'They can't be serious can they?' He did the best he could to keep the smile on his face looking genuine as he walked to the door behind Hibiki and Kuro.

Once outside Kira watched as the proctors lowered Hibiki into the well. The wind was picking up gradually and the trees began to sway to and fro. From the look on the proctors' faces it seemed as though it was a very boring job. They were emotionless, dry, empty. Not an ounce of compassion was noted even though they more than likely knew the situation of the next exam at hand. Kuro hopped into the well next, and it would soon be Kira's turn to follow suite. He walked up to the well and looked into the proctors' eyes. Something about them just seemed so cold. That blatant disregard for the oncoming events sent a chill through Kira. Step by step he lowered himself farther into the well. Once he reached the bottom he saw Hibiki and Kuro standing there ready to move on.

Darkness followed the last to reach the bottom of the well as a lid was carefully placed upon it. The voice carried through the tunnels speaking of poisons and antidotes. Slowly the hint was beginning to make sense. Kira looked around and allowed his eyes to adjust slowly. Down the tunnel there were a few lit flames, far enough that the light barely reached them. The tunnel at the time was wide enough for at least two people to go on side by side. Looking down the path of lit torches, the tunnel seemed as though it could go on for miles. Kira looked to Hibiki, "If you wish to lead then that's fine with me. Just be careful... there could be traps. Don't forget this is an exam after all."

Oasis jumped excitedly as she had apparently succeeded in joining these two and was now part of a team, even if she had done so fairly late in the game, and very likely had failed the first part of the exam, but oh well. She liked Hibiki, after all the fox seemed to be his pet right? So it made sense to her that a bad person couldn't have such a cute pet. However that left her just a tad bit leery about the other, Kira. Since he didn't do anything that made him seem neat to her, she was a bit suspect of him. Yes that was about all the reasoning Oasis needed at this point in the game, she would think about it more later and maybe come up with a better reason eventually. However right now there was other things to think about. The PA made noise again and she paid it some attention as the proctors delivered scrolls. She blinked at hers a few times and then spoke her name "Oasis" she said it quieter this time, thankfully. She read the scroll a little confused, and yet at the same time not by what her scroll said. She looked at the team and her head cocked off to one side slowly. She nodded a few times and then tossed the scroll carelessly over her shoulder in the direction of the proctors behind her. She skipped up along behind the other two and saw the well. There was a ladder sure enough, however the well was also not that big and there was a more fun way down for sure. She trotted over to the well and jumped in reaching the side opposing the ladder she slid down along the wall going at a speed that was safe for landing, however still entertaining for her. She landed on the ground with a thump losing her balance enough to land on her butt instead of her feet. "Well ow." she states plaintively and grinned up at the other two until she heard what was being said. She took a more serious look as she heard about poison. So this wasn't just all fun and games after all. She rubbed her chin slightly and looked at the other two. "Okay, then, I will guard the rear I guess?" she questions as she got to her feet. What was the meaning of her scroll then, this was really starting to get confusing to her. However this was her team and now wasn't the time to start second guessing them, so she followed along behind them, curious as to what she needed to do next.

Kira began to walk beside Hibiki down the long tunnel. The darkness was nearly unbearable, and the torches on the wall caused Kira's eyes to constantly refocus. Before much time or distance had passed Kira had a splitting headache. He had learned a long while ago that while walking in a forest it is possible to rid yourself of a headache by watching the ground as you walk. It keeps yourself from having to focus on distant and near objects. While walking he noticed at nearly the last minute that there was a darker patch in the ground. Coming to a halt Kira turned to face his teammates. "Unless you guys want to fall down a severely large pit, I'd stop. It looks as though it's several feet wide.. We're going to have to jump it. I'll go across and catch who ever is to jump next. Alright?"
PostPosted: Mon Jun 20, 2011 4:01 pm

((I failed my jump check with 94 which is over 20.. All checks by me=-5% and all line counts for the team +25 : ( Sorry guys))

Instead of waiting for a reply Kira took three steps back and charged at the hole. Pushing his chakra to his feet he pushed off of the ground and began to soar through the air. While in a dark room a hole can seem a bit smaller than it actually is. Kira noticed too late that the hole was in all actuality two times wider than he had first assumed. Kira felt the ground on his toes, but felt his heels reaching into the nothingness. He tried desperately to regain his balance, but couldn't' muster the strength. Falling... tumbling.. plummeting into darkness Kira gritted his teeth in fear.

He reached for the opening, tried to catch a hold of the wall, and wracked his brain for any jutsu that could help him in this situation. Nothing was coming to mind. Along the way he felt a solid object connect with his head. With the reflexes granted only to shinobi Kira reached up and caught hold of the ledge. "s**t this ******** sucks.. What the hell..." Kira shouted up to the others. "BE CAREFUL... THE HOLE IS WIDER THAN IT LOOKS! I'M ALRIGHT, I'M GOING TO START CLIMBING BACK UP!" Kira pulled himself together, still hanging on to the small ledge that was the only support he had against the ever growing darkness below. 'Way to go.. Try to show off for a girl and this is what'll happen... You should have known that from the beginning.. now you look reallllly bad a** huh? Like she'd take a look at you now.. ********.. Kira began to climb up the wall slowly. He would have used his chakra to magnetically charge his feet, but it seemed to be just rock.. While pulling himself up his hand slipped a little sending pebbles and dust into his eyes. <******** I'M FINE! JUST SOME DUST IN MY EYES!" With every pull upward more sweat and more strength was exhausted. Kira gritted his teeth and felt the dust crunch between them. It was only a few more moments and several crunches later that he realized something. This... This rock! It's got iron in it! That's... YES! THAT'S MAGNETICALLY ATTRACTED!!" Kira tried to figure out how to get the magnetic field up without falling to his death. 'The only way to do this is to let go and hope I'm close enough to magnetically charge my feet to catch the wall.' Kira held a worried look upon his face. Not that anyone could see it. 'One... Two... Three!' Kira let go and began his ascent to the bottomless pit once more. He began to move his hands like a blur creating hand signs as he fell. His hair began to stand more on end and electrical currents flowed in the air around him. The atmosphere became electrically charged. Kira began to push the charges to his feet using polar opposites to attract the iron to his feet. Once drawn to them he was able to stand perpendicular to the wall. 'This is much easier.'

Kira began to walk slowly along the wall. He would have run, but a throbbing pain in his head and left leg was causing him to become slower. 'Damn it Soul.. what the ******** were you thinking taking that jump.. Oh yeah.. I remember... Jump Soul.. She'll be so impressed when you make it to the other side. Then you can catch her and save the day.. ******** moron. At least I'm safe.. though I look like a complete fool... And what is Hibiki going to think? He was supposed to go in the lead, but I just charged off.. I hope he's not too pissed off at me. I put all of us at risk.. ********.. ********.. ********! Ok.. relax. The first thing I need to worry about is getting out of this pit alive. Then we can worry about getting over. Kira thought for a long while, as it seemed that time stood still. Nothing made sense, how deep was this hole?... how wide exactly was it?.. Kira looked behind him and couldn't see the other side. Something wasn't right about it. It was possible that there was some sort of optical illusion to the hole that through you off when attempting to jump. It could also be that it was just shearly that large. Either way it was not a jump to be underestimated. Since time was slipping away as he fought his way up the hole, Kira was reminded... Time is one thing they didn't have. If he didn't get out of the hole and to the other side before too long. They would all die of a slow acting poison that was being fed through the vents. Still cursing himself the whole way, Kira tried to keep his cool. He was so disappointed in himself. First the battle with Sai and Sorain... now this.. what the hell am I going to do if I keep ******** up like this.. Kira tried not to beat himself up too much.

Kira walked for what seemed like hours. His slow climb gave him plenty of time to think over his hint. What exactly did it mean? Surely yet again they couldn't be serious. He tried to come up with more plans on what to do once they made it to the end... then there was the problem of the antidote. The proctors words echoed in his mind. '"I regret to inform you that this was a trap. If you care to look up, the path you entered from has been blocked off and as you listen to me a toxin is being released into the air. You will have three hours before the toxin spreads throughout your entire body and begins to eat away at your nervous system. However, at the end of the tunnel there is an antidote... If you can get to it, you will be released from here. That is if you can make it.'... What did they mean if we can make it.. I've heard stories of people dieing during exams, but never have I thought it was completely true. I thought it was just a story to put the contestants on edge. Most of the genin were just children after all.. young in age, though some were adults. It was odd to think that they would be put in harms way like this. Though such is the path of a chunin. No longer sheltered from the harder mission, no longer placed in the village and not allowed to stray too far. They were given the more serious and challenging missions. It was time Kira manned up and began to understand the path of a chunin. While deep in thought Kira found that he had made it to the top. He pulled himself up and staggered to his teammates. With a shamed look upon his face he began to speak, "Sorry guys.. I guess I messed up. " Kira's shame and embarrassment was painted on his face, though he tried not to make eye contact with either of them... Oasis especially.

As Kira looked down he became aware of the blood that was dripping to the ground from his head. Where he had hit his head was now a large wound that was seeping blood. It wasn't dire, but head wounds always seem to bleed more than any other place on the body it seemed. Kira pulled his hand up to his head and felt the wound carefully. In an attempt to seem more cool Kira played it off as though it were nothing, although the wound was pulsing and burning furiously. The wound on his left leg seemed a little less severe. It must have just been a small cut and a sprain. It pulsed just the same, though with all of the pain doubled with the pre-existing headache. Nothing seemed to register. It was like a sensory overload. The pain meshed together to send a cold signal through his body. It tingled and chilled his very spine sending the hair on his body at end. Though his hair was usually standing due the irregular amount of electrical energy constantly circulating through his nervous system. Kira tried to walk it off and kept a cool and collected look. He still didn't make eye contact because he always believed the eyes were the gateway to the soul. With that said if he were to look into Oasis or Hibiki's eyes they would know right away that what he was showing on the outside was a complete lie. He was rattling inside with guilt, shame, embarrassment, and pain. Now wasn't exactly the time to just stand and wallow in self pity or sink into the pain. Now was the time to pull himself together for his team. To pull himself together for himself, and to finish this exam and become more than just Kira Moto, More than Soul Sho-Shun.. He would become a Chunin of the Mist. He was to make his village proud in this exam.

This was it. Hibiki and Kuro took the lead with Kira behind them, with the new girl Oasis in the rear. He was unsure of the Wind Country Gal's abilities and he would have tried to place her strategically, but they didn't have time. He wanted to rush through this as fast as possible just in case the toxins get to Kuro. Traps could also be everywhere and anywhere to make his goal that much harder. They would have to be careful, haste makes waste, after all.

They walked for a while until Kira, who was now beside the Vulpine Duo, pointed out a rather large pit. He gave them a brief warning and made the decision to leap first, and then help them afterward. Hibiki nodded. It was a rather crude trust exercise, but he wasn't about to complain since he trusted Kira already. The man helped out with Kuro, that is the most trusting thing Hibiki could ever think of.

Kira took a few steps back and took his leap of faith. At first, The Inuzuka felt triumphant for it seemed his teammate had made it, but the feeling quickly flooded away. The Mist Genin had slipped and now hung from the ledge. Hibiki and Kuro almost whined in unison as they watched their friend struggle with his grip, however it seemed his grip had become loose and made him slip up even more (something about dust in his eyes, which would have been comical if it wasn't so lethal at the moment).

The two Inuzukan gasped as Kira's body was swallowed up by the darkness. "Kiraaaa!" He shouted down the hole, panic washing over him. It was some time before his acute senses picked up the sound of shuffling against the wall. It sounded like someone walking with a limp. The boy and fox both calmed down slightly, knowing that he was at least...moving. "Alright Kira! I'm gonna try and pull you up! If I can even find the pit..." He shouted towards his Mist brethren, mumbling the last part to himself...

His focused his eyes to the floor and tried to find the edge of this dump pit. It was hidden well due to the dim conditions, but not well enough. Hibiki made out a darker patch of soil that seemed to extend to the other side of the little corridor. It's width was just as large. However, by the time he had identified the pit, Kira had staggered up and out of the gargantuan hole.

Kira apologized, but would not make eye contact. Hibiki gasped as he smelled the familiar scent of metal in the air. "It's cool bro, I'm more worried about your injuries..." He took another great whiff as the blood scent infiltrated his nose, "I'm no medic, but it smells pretty bad." Kuro whined as he looked up at Kira.

A sigh escaped the boy's lips as he pondered the situation. "I think I'll try it next. There is no other way around than to just jump across and help each other. I'll go next, and then maybe Oasis can help Kira across. That leg doesn't look good for jumping. I can try and help you up from the other side if something goes wrong again." He didn't look at them as he spoke, but at this tedious task. He was right, the hole was much too big to walk around, and jutsu cannot be used. This trap is very straightforward.

"Alright Kuro, I'll go first." Hibiki nodded towards his canine ally before backing up a bit. He got down on all fours, for he felt much more comfortable doing it that way, and sprinted towards the edge. He flooded his legs and arms with chakra and pushed with all his might off the floor with an audible grunt. Flying through the air in this dim cave made his head spin slightly, but it was only for a few seconds as his jump turned into a somersault on the other side of the pit. The Inuzuka grinned at his achievement before turning around and waiting for his partner in crime. Kuro looked back at Kira as his ears drooped down, as if to apologize for something, and then mimed Hibiki's actions to get across. The vulpine landed neatly and quickly turned back around.

The Mist Genin let his smile fade as he identified the other two shapes across the cavern. The smell of blood was still in the air, giving this place a morbid atmosphere. He shook his head to rid himself of any thoughts, "Alright, I made it! Now, I can try and help whoever is next; whether you trust me or not." He stood by the edge of the hole and waved them over.

Kira looked at his teammates slowly. Spending time to look into his teammates eyes and instill a little confidence into them that he was alright. He had a warm smile and a soft chuckle escaped his mouth. He was bull shitting them as best he could. He looked to Hibiki first, "Hey don't worry ok? I'll be alright. I'll try not to hold you guys back." Kira smiled in Oasis' direction.

Hibiki lept and landed on the other side with ease. Next was Kuro. When Hibiki said that he would assist the others Kira took a few steps back and began to charge the pit. Once again he landed on the other side only to find himself off balance. He waved his arms and looked to Hibiki with wide eyes. Kira reached for his friend and trusted him to catch him.

Check to catch Kira: Str + agi vs Kira's weight
420 vs 120 = 80% chance~
Success

Hibiki watched Kira's every move to make sure he would make it. The stench of blood was still lingering, along with the odd scent of the toxins that were released earlier, making him worry a bit more. Although the other Mist Genin tried to sound confident, the actual danger that was around them was still sickening and who knows whats still to come?

Kira charged forward again and had made contact with the edge. His arms began to flail about as he gave Hibiki a look that made him feel his pain somehow. With reflexes only a Shinobi could muster, The Inuzuka reached out and pulled Kira onto safe ground. The momentum of the pull forced Hibiki onto his rear and Kuro to jump backwards, away from the two. "One down" He gasped as he took a deep breath. Standing back up, he peered through the darkness to their last teammate. "Alright Wind Babe, jump when you're ready!"

Hibiki quickly glanced over his shoulder at Kira, "You alright, bro?" He hastily said, trying to keep his eyes on Oasis.

Note: Because the check to catch someone uses two stats instead of one. You do not get a x2 to the check. In other words this is a flat check and you would take your base Strength + base Agility.

So in this case the pc would be 280 vs Kiras weight. Making your success rate 66%, so you passed anyway.

Oasis was concerned when she heard the other Genin fall into the pit that he had warned them of, from the sounds of things as he fell it was a pretty deep pit. She paused in her steps which allowed for the other team mate to pull further ahead, she closed her eyes tight and focused breathing in slowly she really didn't want to fall into such a pit. She listened as he crawled back out of the hole. She stepped back ever so slightly more from the group and listened silently to them as she focused intently on the task at hand. Sure he had warned them it was there, but that didn't help the fact that she couldn't see the pit to know when to jump. She listened as Hibiki went next, he was able to find the edge of the pit easily, enough, so she was feeling less worried about that aspect than she was before, and then she heard him land cleanly on the other side. When he called out for the next one she waved her hand slightly, silently insisting that the other, Kira went first. She was still a bit nervous about this idea and so she wanted all the time she could get to prepare. She couldn't help but chuckle some when Hibiki called her a 'babe'. She took a few steps forward and opened her eyes, she had reached peak focus and her amber eyes were now blue and glowed ever so slightly. She closed her hands and pressed them together hard, she accomplished what she wanted as the marks on her arms and legs started to glow slightly as well, however much to her chagrin it didn't light up the tunnel enough for her to be able to see any better than before, so it was just more easy for the other two genin to see her now as she had glowing blue markings about her person. “Okay... I'm going to try now.” she states a slight tinge of nervousness in her voice. She was unaware of it until this point, however she was a bit afraid of the dark. She took in a deep breath and began to walk forward, her bare feet made a quiet tapping against the solid floor which was a bit unnerving that there wasn't enough other sounds to drown out even the sounds of her footsteps. She became a bit flustered as she was having issues focusing her mind away from the fact that the dark was starting to really scare her. She turned her focus down to the ground and watching her feet, or rather, watching where she thought her feet were since she couldn't completely see them, it seemed to be unnaturally dark to her. She took another deep breath and steeled herself against he surroundings and began to move forward quickly now and after three solid steps she felt the earth was not beneath her outstretched right foot and she had put too much haste into her movement and was unable to recoil the foot and take back the step and instead slipped right down the edge of the pit. Oasis went wide eyed as she realized her blunder, and likely her team would see the abrupt drop of her lit up self as she dropped into the pit. Oasis kicked against the air, her chakra welling up and spinning her around so she could face the wall of the cliff. She wasn't sure of the surface of the walls, if they were smooth of jagged, so to be safe she curled herself up some and brought her hands together releasing a blast of acid like water from her mouth against the wall of the pit, it melted the wall to a smooth surface and she quickly pressed chakra into her hands and feet and then against the melted wall stopping her downward decent rather efficiently. However the maneuver put her a fair deal deeper down the pit than she had thought she was going to fall, how deep was this pit? It couldn't have been bottomless that wasn't possible, was it? She shook her head and looked back up, it was just as dark as ever. She found herself wondering why she hadn't found a way to jack one of the torches from earlier in the tunnel, and was highly considering taking the next one they came across. “I'm okay!” Oasis finally shouts out to her team mates sure they were concerned to some degree about her current condition. “I'm... just going to climb back out of this hole now...” she states more quietly as she pushed chakra into the surrounding wall, as she did so her eyes seemed to glow a bit brighter and the entire wall was revealed to her through seeing the movement of her own chakra. She eventually moved her hands and placed them onto the stony walls of the pit and held herself surely against the rock and then began to climb. She pulled herself up along the wall of the pitfall. It sure seemed like dirty pool the tricks this nation was pulling in this chuunin exam. What would the other shinobi homelands think if they killed their genin because this course was created with a certain set of skills in mind that perhaps not every genin had. This had to be against regulations or something. “I'm calling shenanigans... on this whole thing.” Oasis complained as she continued on her way out of the pit. Finally the top was in reach and she reached up clambering at the upper ledge she pulled herself up out of the pit and then turned around to face where the other two would be. “sorry about that... Oasis didn't see the hole.” she states apologetically.

((50 lines Oasis has climbed back out. unless I need more lines then...))

"Okay, Oasis knows where the hole is now. Going to try and jump it now.” Oasis states nervously as she took a few paces back, then a few more. She didn't have to worry about finding the pit, she already knew where it was now, she just needed to jump over it. Oasis closed her eyes and only thought about the pit for a few moments then she raced at the pit full speed turning her glowing marks into little tracer lines that stretched behind her. As she reached the edge she coiled up, her right foot reaching the edge and curling down some to press against the edge and then she released an explosive action of chakra and pent up muscular energy and vaulted from the edge of the cliff. She sailed through the dank cave air and as she approached the other side she got a very bad feeling. She had a feeling that her jump was going to come up short. Sure enough as she came towards the other side she knew she was right. “aah, catch Oasis please!” she calls out as she shifted in mid air and threw her arm out forward at those who had made the jump. She felt quite embarrassed that she was unable to make this jump, but the embarrassment could wait, right now she was concerned with hurting herself from a fall that had this much more energy behind it.
