She'd gotten the confirmation from the ghost boil just in time it seemed as she struggled to keep her grip on the gaming console she'd recently purchased. The Eii had been unruly and disruptive and liked to lash out at her far too much for her liking. Not that she didn't mind the gaming console's violent tendencies, she would have loved it forever if it decided to have at a certain hand. Except she didn't want said hand to even learn about the gaming systems in the first place. It was easy enough to convince the old-fashioned crone that the skintendo DS was a variation of her skellphone, but the Eii was too distinctly a gaming console for her to accomplish the lie.

So now she was going to have to ask a colossal favor from someone she wasn't entirely familiar with. As she quietly made her way through the ghost dorms (careful to completely avoid running into a certain blue-haired banshee), she was slowly losing her nerve to go through with this when she finally spotted the triangle-symbol-thing that Jareth had mentioned would identify his room to her.

With a gulp, she was about to fly away when the squirming console nearly beaned her with its controller. Oh well, now that wouldn't do! Steeling her nerves, Maritess managed to bring her knuckles against the door in quick succession, "U-um, Jareth? It's me, Maritess from Groanspring..."

Now if one had asked him why he accepted the request of someone he didn't know, he wouldn't even know what to say. Considering that he had absolutely no idea what this favor was! Naturally, it was only after he had agreed that he recalled he maybe should have asked the ghoul what exactly she needed help with. Ah well, too late for that now, right? So that just left him with another lovely problem. There was going to be another ghoul in his room... and unlike the first time, it was a bit.. messy.

In a fit of nervousness and his own overwhelming panic, the boy had spent most of the night attempting to straighten up. Hard to do with so many gaming things around but he managed to make it not look like a gaming store and its warehouse had exploded in his room. her knock made him jump and hurriedly finish brushing his hair. Ghoul was over, no hat. Ghoul was over, no hat! was the mantra for today as he made sure his hair covered the upper half of his face properl before he called out. "Co-coming!!" Hoping his Link shirt didn't look too rumpled, though his dark baggy cargos were a hopeless cause, he stumbled off his bed and went to slowly open the door. "He.. hello, Miss.. um.. Maritess." Yeah.. that was a bit smooth, right? Hopefully? Ugh! He didn't know!! ;_;

"Um.. please come in..." Nodding shyly, he opened the door enough for her to enter and got out of her way, noticing her console at the same time. Oh? Did this have something to do with gaming??! "How.. how can I he-help you?" Maybe he should ask if she wanted fries, he felt so horribly tonguetied.

"Oomph, th-thank you!" Tess didn't need to be asked twice before she entered, though admittedly she couldn't help but gape a little at the collection of gaming things in the boil's room. "I-Impressive collection," she breathed, trying her best not to stare too long at the foreign objects. Thankfully, the Eii she held soon had her attention as it gnashed angrily at her and attempted to entangle her with the wire of its controller.

"Ack! G-get this off me!" she squeaked, her large, leathery wings flapping erratically. Part of her wondered why she just didn't hurl the violent console away. Then she remembered she paid a pretty sum for it and did not want to have to purchase a new one. Though with the way she was flying around, she possibly risked knocking some of Jareth's things over and making an even bigger mess.

"Thank you..."A faint smile of pride showed on his lips when she made a comment about his collection, since he worked hard to get it the way it was. But it soon became apparent the trouble she was having as she began fighting with her Eii, which was trying to do her harm. "Pl-please! Calm.. calm down! I'll get it!" Yes, he was worried she'd knock something over. Actually, he was having mental fits and imaging of that happening but he was doing not to freak. Do not freak was his mantra as well for the day. It was a lot harder to do than he had thought.

But first! The Eii. Normally they were violent with their new owners because they didn't trust anyone. It took some patience, and quite a bit of bribery, to get them to stop attacking in the beginning. Grasping the controller, he began to murmur to the console in a soothing voice; telling it that there was nothing to fear, that it was perfectly safe and some other, more appealing things to its nature. Eiis, he had learned, were very prideful things and the best way to calm them sometimes was to tell them they were the most awesome thing since the invention of skelly-vee. It took a bit but the Eii seemed to hear him and stopped its fierce attack on Tess and the boil took it away from her and held it in his own hands. "There... that's better now. Are... are you ok-okay?! I.. I tak-take it... that this... is the favor?"

Thankfully, his Eii was sleeping, or else it would have probably pitched a jealous fit. "I.. I can.. def-definitely help with this..."

Tess was not the easiest ghoul to get to calm down. Especially when she was in the middle of a struggle with a violent gaming console. It was nothing short of a miracle that she didn't crash into anything. Like the walls. Or the assorted memorabilia and games in the ghost boil's room. When the boil attempted to relieve her of the Eii, Tess practically shoved it at Jareth. Her normally pale face surprisingly with a hint of color thanks to her struggles. Those arms of hers were stronger than they looked but cords and wires were involved and when they were tangling with her wings, all sense of order and logic just flies out the window.

She was glaring at the console, muttering and wishing she never purchased the Jack damned thing. Listening to Jareth croon and coddle the device only made her quirk a brow. "It has an ego?" she stared in disdain. Great. Just what she needed. One more thing with a God-Complex.

"I-I was told the Skintendo Eii and Dual Scream were good for those with little to no experience in videogames," she began explaining to Jareth as if he needed to know the whole story. "The DS listened to me with no problem but as you can see the Eii..." a mere gesture at the device was greeted with a snarl from said device. And Tess let out a soft Eep! and backed away.

Even though he was well aware it was not his fault Eiis were so aggressive, he gave a sheepish grin and a faint shrug. "Pride and jeal-jealousy iss...issues. They can.. be.. be very uptight at first.. since... the-they always feel.. underplayed by.. scre-screamstation and the HEXbox.. s-so they.. um.. they get testy..." Once her Eii was calm enough, he set it down onto a box and looked back to Tess. "Once it's.. us-used to you, it'll be-behave. Promise. It.. just likes.. kno-knowing it's imp-important... Mine won't.. pl-play if it sees the oth-other sys-systems..." It was rather silly, no matter how he thought about it, but truth was truth. "Bas-basically... it.. it's acting out.. to.. te-test you.." Which was the best way to explain it.

"And that is right.. those are the best fo-for new-newbies. Eiis and Dual Screams are.. easy to understand.. and simple to follow... th-there are some.. chall-challenging bits to it.. but it has.. an easier lear-learning curve than.. than the others." He had to admit to himself that this ghoul was rather strong, but not said aloud. He also felt bad about the Eii frightening her, which was also why he was going to help her out as best he could. When it growled at her, he frowned at it disapprovingly before he watched her back away. "Fi-First thing... about.. de-dealing with yo-your Eii. Can't... back.. off. Go-Gotta show it that you-you're the own-owner, not it. I do.. under-understand it is very.. very frightening to do at first... but it's the best way to get it to stop ha-having a hissy."

Placing his hands on his hips a bit, he moved away from the Eii and moved a bit closer to her. "Ev-ever hear about beas-beast tamers? How they can.. make even.. the.. mi-mightiest of.. beasts sta-stand down? It's.. it's the same prin-principle here. Seems.. silly to have a st-staring contest with.. with a con-console, but it does work..."

The winged ghoul listened intently as the ghost boil explained the nature and reasoning behind the console's tantrums and violent demeanor. "I-I see..." she mused, brows knitting together. She looked mildly dubious that she needed to take a stand. Well, no, she wasn't doubting whether or not Jareth knew what he was talking about but whether or not she had what it took. "I-I'm afraid I've never heard about beast-tamers," she bit her lower lip, her arms tucking behind her back, "I-is it anything like, um, Pokemans?" she asked with a tilt of her head. "Maybe I could, um, throw stuff at it to get it to calm down? Like maybe rubber slippers?" she followed up.

If that was an acceptable method of handling the console, it would be easier for her. But if it meant damaging the equipment, no, she didn't want that. She paid good money for these. When the ghost boil moved closer, Tess fidgeted slightly, very slightly, "U-um, you wouldn't mind a demonstration, would you?"
