Sometime in May, all the choirs from my school *Mixed, Women's, and Chorale* get to go to Carowinds to perform in a Choral Festival! It's gonna be sooooooooo fun. Is anyone else going to that?

Next year, we take a trip to New York. Because my choral director wants to have us experience the subway. Maybe she wants us to learn how to guard our shopping carts for those who she thinks won't be successful?
She also wants to get us in to every show thats available during the time we're there.

Best trip was deifinitly England and Wales with my high school choir for a week. biggrin
Second best was with my cast from Les Miserables to Dignity Village, a homeless camp in Portland to do a concert for the people that we were portraying in the show. That was probably one of the most powerful experiences of my life.
I'm going on a tour in mid-March with my college choir, just around North Carolina mostly I think. Though I can't remember exactly where all we're going.

Hi, I'm new here and I have to say that our trip last April had to be the best. We went to Florida and took the band with us to perform in the Heritage Music Festival. FIve days, about 20hrs of sleep, being sick when we got back...it was all worth it because we won the festival (highest combined score of band and chorus to 300). It was also exciting because we were the first catholic school let out of our city to go and perform in an international competition.

Although I didn't go on the trip...
Last year the choirs went to Chicago and went to see the Broadway musical "Wicked" and meet the cast backstage after wards. They got to do all that fun stuff, and spend the rest of the day in Chicago until the show started. smile Too bad I couldn't go! I love musicals!!
We were supposed to go to Canada at the end of the year to see the musical "Lord of the Rings" but since it was an overnight trip, not many people had enough to go, so it was cancelled. Alot of parents had the trouble of the whole its another freaking country thing... smile

Every May, our choir goes on tour to promote the university and such. We've been as far east as Toronto, as far west as Vancouver, and all over Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and the central interior of bc. We can't go out of the country because we have some international students (from Korea, Taiwan, south Africa, Ghana, the united states, Jamaica, and the Philippines, for example), and their visas won't allow them to cross international borders.
