Camelot was exhausted. He was sure if he just stayed in his house he would be able to recover a bit, let his arm heal properly, but instead he kept throwing himself into these situations just by stepping outside. If he saw something move in a youma or Nega-ish way, he simply could not ignore it.
Even going out to get the mail after forgetting about it all day was dangerous. It was dark, a bad time for a knight looking to avoid danger to be out, and he had spotted a youma running down the street, masked in shadows. It had disappeared around a corner and Tony, despite himself, had to power up and give chase.
What if it hurt someone? He couldn't allow it to do that, now that he had seen it and had the chance to stop it.
The chase was long and he lost it a couple of times in the darkness of poorly lit alleys. There were a lot of those in this city. Maybe he would petition the mayor to have the broken and forgotten street lamps replaced. The youma seemed to have found a target, the streets mostly empty until they drew closer to town, and it darted for the form of a young woman.
Camelot darted after it. The youma was thick and long, with four short little legs to work with. It wasn't fast in a conventional sense, but it could dart like a snake striking when it wanted to. At a run, it had to jump into each step, front feet first, then pull its backfeet to it like a caterpillar. The knight could get by it when it was running.
"Miss, get down!" he yelled, knowing the sudden shouting would be a surprise. He didn't expect her to duck, either, skidding between her and the youma to defend her He raised his shield and the youma slammed into him, coiling around him immediately. "Ack!"

Serenade Soriano was out, walking the dark streets of Destiny City. Her steps were careful and measured, and even so, she was lost in thought. Her intention had been to patrol like a good Sailor Senshi would, but had decided that it was probably better to get out of range of Crystal before henshining up. It was dangerous, she had thought, to keep up her usual plan. What if someone else saw? What if she didn't manage to evade campus security?
Besides, if nothing showed up, she wouldn't need to henshin up. She didn't think it wise to draw attention to herself, not when she knew that a heavy bounty was put on Princess Chronos. The Zodiac Princess was definitely a prime target of the Negaverse. Her memories of her kidnapping and death served as a grim reminder.
She hadn't expected something to suddenly dash up right in front of her and Serenade drew back with a soft 'eep!', fumbling in her pocket for her compact. However someone else came into view, and she froze for a moment, before heeding his warning and doing exactly what she said.
He wasn't a Senshi, she thought, observing him as she backed away quietly into a nearby alley. He didn't seem like one, at least. Nevertheless, he had saved her, and now, it was her turn to help. With the words "Chronos Princess Power, Make Up!" uttered, Sailor Chronos stepped into plain sight.
"Equinox Tiara Magic!" Her golden tiara headed right at the youma, and if it hit, it would slice right into it. Hopefully it would, but at least, the youma would be distracted from her savior now.

Camelot was struggling with the long, strange youma. It had hands where its feet were meant to be. It was gripping his neck and struggling with him on the floor.
He felt a new energy nearby, and it was rather distracting. Craning his head around, trying to keep himself from getting crushed, he looked upside down to see the skirts of a senshi nearby.
"Stay back!"
He didn't know what he was dealing with, and then, suddenly, the weight on top of him was gone. The youma slumped and he was confused for a moment as to why. getting to his feet with some effort, he saw the youma's back half burst into dust before its top half, still clinging to him, did the same.
"Oh!"
He looked at the senshi, still dazed. He didn't know where she had come from, and he blinked at her appearance. He had never seen anything like her before. So he couldn't help but gape.
"Who... ah... thank you for the help. My name is Camelot."

The tiara reappeared back on her forehead as the youma exploded and Chronos breathed a sigh of relief. Thank goodness; once, it had taken two tiara shots to defeat one of those creatures. It was lucky her tiara attack was powerful enough to incapacitate youma, because her magical attack wasn't very much. And she was still working on improving her skills over the Opal Crystal. It wasn't very wise to use it when she was still struggling to regain control over its powers.
"It was no hassle at all." She assured him with a smile, introducing herself in return with a curtsy. "I'm Sailor Chronos, Princess of the Zodiacs. You are... a Knight, correct? I've heard of them, but I've never met one before." Flora had mentioned bumping into one, and had asked if she had knew anything about them.
There had been a flicker of recognition, back in her mind, but a flicker wasn't much to go by. Ah, past memories were like the Opal Crystal. Perhaps with more training, she could remember more as well?

Camelot looked very surprised.
Princess. Of the Zodiacs. He had known she was something different, just looking at her and feeling her aura. But he hadn't imagined something like that. In the past, when he first learned anything about senshi it was from one of the Zodiacs. He still considered Elke, Virgo, one of the dearest friends he had ever made and he instantly found himself wondering after her. If she was alright, if she was fighting or if she had gotten hurt at any point, if she was eating well.
He felt compelled to kneel, then, at the revelation that she was a Princess. He bowed his head, looking very much like a knight ought to, considering. Taking a moment, he looked up at her and offered her a smile.
"I am a knight, yes. Ah. A Page of Earth, to be exact," he didn't seem sure of himself, if he was allowed to look up at her or keep his eyes on the floor. He was a bundle of nerves all of a sudden. All he had to go on were the stories he had read, legends of Camelot, and Princesses were generally treated with the utmost respect. So that was what he wanted to offer her.

A Page of the Earth. Chronos blinked at this revelation. So, technically... he served Prince Endymion? She found herself wondering if he knew about the recent appearance of someone claiming to be that very person. She didn't think it wise for her to say it when it was merely a possibility. It was never nice to badmouth others, especially in front of those whose loyalties lay with them.
"It's an honor to meet you." She replied, returning the smile with a beam of her own. "I've never met a Knight before." Well, she had met Kunzite, but he hadn't been a Knight. And perhaps she had met his kind in the past...? She didn't force herself to try and remember. As she had once told Castor, it was no use being impatient with the blanks in their memory. It would come when the time was right. "Thank you for the rescue of... the civilian back then." There had been a slight pause, realizing that he would have no idea what she was talking about even if she told him that he had in fact, rescue her. "You were very brave. I do hope you're alright? Youma can be difficult to deal with sometimes." Chronos gripped her staff as the thought of the Negaverse agent with the monstrous arm flooded her mind.
"Oh..." She added. "What do I call you?" She couldn't very well call him 'Page of the Earth' all the time, after all.

The knight looked up at her, smiling warmly and shaking his head as if to dismiss her worry. He turned a bit red and looked back down again, eyebrows furrowing as he stared hard at a spot on the floor.
"As long as civilians are safe, I'll take a few bruises. I often do," his tone was teasing, but there was truth in it. He had a habit of taking a few punches, or taking on a bit more than he could handle. Still, as long as youma were being dusted and Negas run off, he was doing part of his duty.
The other part he was only just coming to understand, and moving to fulfill.
"Camelot, my lady. I know, it's a... strange name for someone, but ah..." He chuckled and finally looked up at her for more than two seconds. She hadn't told him off yet for being easy going in nature, tied with bashful and kind of helplessly out of his depth. All good signs.
"I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but I've never met a Princess of... anything before. You can still fight like a senshi, but you... rule a part of them? The Zodiacs?" He felt very stupid, and he hoped she didn't get offended.

She beamed at him again. It was nice to know that Knights had such a sense of honor, and helped to keep the civilians safe. After all, that what they were mainly all fighting for. To protect the innocent and those they loved. And Chronos could respect anyone who followed these morals.
"Camelot." She repeated and nodded her head. "I think it is a very honorable name that suits you." She had heard of the name of course; it was associated with the legendary King Arthur.
"I used to not fight much, really." Chronos admitted. Eon, Aries and the Zodiacs, had tried to keep her out of it as much as possible, even Zue had delayed awakening her for as long as he could. "But I need to, now, with everything that's happening." The people who initially wanted to keep her safe this way had realized their folly, and had encouraged her to do so, as well. And it was for them that she fought. "We need all the strength we can get and I've been training. To be able to fight better and to be a better Princess." She paused then, taking in his words in thoughtfully. Rule. That word sounded as though she merely sat in a throne and ordered the Zodiacs around, but she took no offense in it. Being a Royal was a lot different than one's perception of the role, after all. "I think my responsibility as a Princess is to keep them all together. To keep us united in the face of the enemy. It's not easy but Virgo helps me."

Camelot smiled, and nodded his head appreciatively. He wasn't sure he had earned the name yet, but he was working on it. He would live up the legends of honor and chivalry, of protection and service, of course. There was nothing he wanted more than to do the name he bore proud.
He nodded his head, still on one knee, his shield arm against his chest respectfully.
"There does seem to be a lot to fight... still, if you are a princess then you should be protected, not putting yourself in danger. Don't you have an escort to keep you safe? Or at least aid you if you need it. That attack you used was... really impressive, actually." He chuckled. She might not even be the type that needed protection: she had saved him, after all.
Not the other way around.
When she described her perception of her role he smiled, nodding his head and finally standing, though his body language was still respectful.
"That's a good thing to hear. I'm glad they have someone to guide them. I hear a lot that the senshi are not organized, but from what I've seen you all seem to have a handle of your own things. Some seem a little more misguided than others, but..." he had hope for them all. "Virgo? How is she doing, by the way? I've known her... ah... well. She's a long time friend. I mean. I guess... she doesn't know it... uhm."
Whoops. He hadn't found Virgo yet to repay the favor and let her know his identity, so she could understand that her trust in him had never been misplaced after Tony had discovered who she was.

"I'll be alright." Chronos said. It was because she hadn't fought much back then that she had been captured so easily. It was because she had been just a figurehead, but Chronos wouldn't settle for that anymore. After all, she had the Opal Crystal of Protection, and she would use it for its purpose. "I do sometimes patrol with the other Zodiacs and the Seasons." It wasn't so bad to patrol alone, however. It had always been her goal to maintain good relations with White Moon Senshi, and now the Knights as well. And meeting them and showing that she was a Princess that could fight would ultimately gain their respect.
"The White Moon Senshi," She started off slowly, "have numbers on their side, but it is also those numbers that cause them to fall into disorganization. Not everyone is going to listen to a certain team's leader. Some command respect, but they don't have an authority figure to bring them all together." Her cousin, Princess Serenity, was that key.
"Virgo's well." Chronos told him with a smile. As long as her Zodiacs were alive, she was content. "She's grown into a fine Soldier and a Captain. I could pass on the message, but I suppose that isn't as sincere as telling, or showing her yourself."

Camelot smiled, looking very proud.
"I've heard that before," Camelot said, about the disorganization of the senshi. Perhaps he didn't have the same views as the others about that, but he was still forming his own opinions on all the new things he was learning. He couldn't judge them just yet. Anyway, he wasn't a senshi, he was a knight.
Still, organization for the senshi might help in the war. To which end was anyone's guess, as he knew there were some on completely opposite ends of the spectrum as far as beliefs went.
"I'm glad to hear she's doing so well. I think I'll find her, and talk to her myself, if you don't mind. I appreciate the thought."
He smiled at her, feeling oddly happy. Honored, to have met a Princess, and with a strong urge to aid her in whatever way possible. He bowed his head again, slightly, but at least he didn't kneel again. He had only just gotten up.
"I will aid the senshi in any way that I can. So, ah, if you ever have need for a knight you just saved, you have my service." He grinned a bit, knowing it probably didn't sound like the best offer, but it was all he could give.

It was hard. Those she knew had expressed their concerns to her, and Princess Chronos too, was perturbed by the problems as well. Then again, it was difficult to attempt to organize the White Moon Senshi when she couldn't even keep her own together.
Chronos dipped her head in acknowledgement. "Of course." It was his decision after all, and she respected that.
"Thank you, Camelot." The Princess beamed at him. "Knowing that I have allies by my side besides my own Court gives me hope." That one day, they would eventually take down the Negaverse and there was no need for this needless fighting.
"But then again," She added with a small smile, and then making sure no one else was around, transformed back into Serenade Soriano. "You saved me in the first place. So I owe you my thanks as well."

Camelot looked very surprised when she powered down in front of him, and he did a very bad job of hiding the fact. He tried to speak, then looked around, then looked at her again in wonder. It seemed to have thrown him for a complete loop.
"You were the young woman... oh, I see." He laughed at last, realizing that at least explained how she had been able to help him so quickly and he hadn't sensed her before then. He imagined even he, who had some trouble keeping track of signatures sometimes, wouldn't have missed that one.
He smiled and bowed his head again.
Now he powered down, Camelot vanishing and leaving a humble looking Librarian with a cane in his place. Of course, he shared the same eyes and same warm smile, and he offered her his hand again.
"Anthony Darrow. If you ever need me, you can find me at the library."

"I must apologize." Serenade said sheepishly, an embarrassed blush crossing her cheeks. "I wasn't exactly looking where I was going at the time." It was silly of her to have spaced out when she was technically on patrol. If he hadn't been there, the youma would have injured her and that would have been horrible, because she didn't want the Zodiacs to worry.
"Pleased to meet you, Mr Darrow. I'm Serenade Soriano." She told him, stepping forwards to grasp his hand gently in a handshake. "I will certainly stop by the library more often, then." She had usually frequented the library in Crystal Academy, but now, since she had moved back home, why not visit the Destiny City library? Besides, she now had another reason to go there.
She glanced up at the sky for a moment. "It's late." She said thoughtfully. "We should probably get home. Unless we run into another youma on the way." It was lighthearted, playful banter, although Serenade did wish that they wouldn't have to. Her tiara cut through them easily enough, but it was good when Destiny City had relatively quieter nights these days.

Tony chuckled, nodding his head.
"Would you like an escort? You know, in case another pops up and I can, in fact, prove that I can protect as easily as I need protection." He smiled, joking, though his pride stung just a little bit. He felt he should have done a better job protecting her, and not just because she was a Princess. She was a senshi, and she had needed the help when she was in her civilian form. All those things made her someone he was destined to help.
And he hadn't done the best job of it.
Still, he would rather they were able to get through the rest of the evening without another youma just the same. His pride would survive, it certainly wasn't the most embarrassing thing he had done or been involved with. And it wouldn't be the last time something similar happened, he knew. He was in the same mind as Serenade, though he didn't know it. It was just nicer and made them feel like they were making a difference when they could walk home without being attacked by any youma.
The librarian leaned on his cane, but he was comfortable and his mind was whirling. He was very glad for this encounter, regardless of how the youma fight went. He was honored to have met, and been rescued by, a senshi princess, and now he had much more to think about. Maybe even to add to his ideas for the Knights of Destiny.
