Cites in the Clouds ~Part One~ You wake from a deep sleep. You look around, unfamiliar with the surroundings.
It's a beautiful city, you were sleeping on the ground.
Surprisingly, the ground is very, very soft.
You look down to see soft, fluffy, white...clouds.
You were sleeping on clouds??
You frown, confused.
You try to tune on into older memories, but all you remember is...well...your life.
Then a bright flash of light.
You sit up and rub you eyes.
Beside you is a golden wall, surrounding you are golden buildings.
Looks perfectly like a normal city, except that everything was shiny and golden.
And sometimes silver.
And did you mention that there was a bright full-colored rainbow in the sky?
Strange place...you think to yourself.
Suddenly, as if out of no where, a girl with dark hair pops into view.
In her arms is a cage full of...cute round birds.
They remind you of the Angry Birds app, a laugh suddenly forms from your mouth.
The girl notices you, she gives you a weird look.
As if you were the one who was weird around here.
That thought makes you want to laugh again.
"Hello? Who are you? Are you the new Guard?" she askes you.
You frown and shake your head.
The girl sighs, "Stupid Argubus," you hear her murmur.
"I'm sorry, what? What is a Argubus? Wait, who is Argubus?" you say, clearly befundled.
The girl laughs, "Don't worry, you'll find out soon. I'll be your tour. Welcome to Ward One of the Cities in the Clouds."
You frown at her, causing her to laugh more.
The birds in her cage start shierking like Angry Birds.
"Welcome to Sol Aethera*, carissima.**"
She smiles at you, causing you to wonder more about this place. End of Part One~ *sky with the sun[latin]

Cites in the Clouds ~Part Two~ "I'm Aries Marie Yuri," the girl says as she helps you up.
You notice that she's a young teen, by the looks of it.
"My initials spell out Amy. But call me Aries, okay?"
You shrug, wondering if you should call her Amy or Aries.
You don't really care.
But what you do care is just where the heck are you.
Sol Aethera, like that helped the explaination.
It might as well have been a random word thrown at you.
You hold back a snort that was about to escape.
And what the heck did carissima mean?
Stupid weird language.
Probably Latin, since it sounded like Latin.
You promised yourself to go search it up soon.
"So what's your name, carissimi*?"
Again with the weird language.
This time, Aries/Amy added an i instead of the a.
"My name's ___," you tell her.
She nods, "so, I'll be taking you on a tour around Sol Aethera."
You frown, "okay, exactly where and what is Sol Aethera. Seriously! I'm not up for games!"
Aries laughs at you, causing your frown to go deeper.
Finally, she stops laughing.
"How to start? Oh, geez. You're in Ward One of the Cities in the Clouds. Notice how I said Cities in the Clouds?"
She laughs again, then collects herself.
"There are six Wards. Ward One: Sunshine City. As you can see."
She gestured around, pointing out the obvious.
Well, it is sunny.
"Ward Two: Moonlit City. I'll take you there soon."
She holds up a third finger as she progresses.
"Ward Three: Ember City."
She holds up a fourth finger.
"Ward Four: Aqua City."
She holds up a fifth finger.
"Ward Five: Estival City. By the way, that Estival means summer."
Finally, she holds up her other hand for a sixth finger.
"Ward Six: Aestival City. Opposite of summer. Which is obviously winter."
Aries drops her hands and looks at you.
You shake your head in confusion.
This was so weird.
The weirest thing you've ever dreamed of.
Stupid dream.
Wake up, you tell yourself.
Aries laughs.
"I just read your mind. And you can't wake up. You're already awake!"
You give her a you're crazy Look.
She stops talking, looking offended.
"I'm not crazy! You just can't admit the truth! Stupid black and white logic of the Cities on the Earth!"
You roll your eyes, "this is a waste of my time. Go away."
"Hey, ___!"
Aries watches as you stand up and start walking away from her.
"Come back!"
Yeah, sure. Miss Crazy, you think in your head.
"I'm not crazy!" Aries is screaming at you.
"You need serious help. You're delusional. I can help you find a doctor," you say, still walking.
"Stupid Argubus always makes me get this job! I hate it! Okay? I'm not crazy!"
Says you, you think.
There's a hiss overhead.
Being curious, you look up.
You immediately wish that you haven't.
Because, a figment of your imagination has conjured up a demon.
Not a demon really...a dragon.
Big, deadly, and vicious.
And spitting out fire.
With poisonous spikes around it.
And did you mention that it was looking straight at you?
Stupid dream, your inner voice muttered.
"It's not an flipping dream!"
Aries is swearing.
The dragon lunges and you close your eyes.
Hoping that the end is quick. End of Part Two~ *dearest(the same as carissima)[latin]

Cites in the Clouds ~Part Three~ You instantly feel stupid for thinking that.
If this was a dream, you would be woken up by now, right?
Right?
Then again, it felt so real.
You couldn't help but believe these delusions that your brain was receiving.
"Mulciber!*" Aries cries.
You open your eyes, startled at another (once again) mysterious word.
You see the dragon-looking thing being hurled back by a small ball of fire.
It hisses and lunges forward again.
But it aims at Aries this time.
You turn and see her holod up her hand, sparks flying.
It reminds you of Harry Potter.
Except that she didn't have a wand.
But she's still yelling out those strange words.
"Caecus,*" Aries yells again.
The dragon shrinks back, as if been hit.
But no sparks had flown at it.
It flails around, as if it couldn't see.
Then the dragon shrinks into a form of a beautiful girl.
The girl is screeching, the sound is very opposite from her appearances.
You catch her eyes, they're blood red.
The ground—clouds suddenly gives way beneath you and you fall.
The girl hisses something and there's something whizzing in the air.
It hits something hard.
Then you hear Aries yell something back.
The girl screeches again, it's hurting your ears.
Then it stops.
It's quiet again.
And you feel Aries kneeling beside you.
"An Ajatar***, said to be the mother of the devil." You hear Aries mumble.
"Wha—"
You're cut off as Aries says, "Recupero.****"
Suddenly, you feel better.
Your vision comes back, and you see Aries, looking very grim.
You stand up and look at Aries.
"What the heck is a Ajatar?"
"A female spirit that came change forms into a snake or a dragon."
You look at her, demanding more explanation.
Aries sighs as she continues.
"She spreads diseases and anyone that looks at her becomes instantly ill."
You shrug, remembering what had happened just after you looked in her eyes.
"They exist in Finnish folklore. So I suppose you think I'm crazy, don't you, carissma?"
You shrug again, feeling uncomfortable.
"Look! You were chosen to come here because of the Dux!*****"
Aries sighs heavily.
"Whatever life you were living back on Earth, the Dux decided you were worthy enough or something to come here."
You frown, very, very confused.
"What do you mean by 'worthy'?"
You're very questioning, even though you like being deemed worthy.
Aries smiles, once again.
"As you see, you've arrived in the Wards just on the verge of war." End of Part Three~ *fire[latin]

Cites in the Clouds ~Part Four~ After explaining loads and loads or information, you finally start to believe Aries.
Apparenly, you were chosen by the Dux, the leader of Ward One, Sol Aethera.
You were 'worthy' enough to be chosen.
Chosen for battle.
Apparently, all the wards were made so they were opposite from each other.
For balance.
Like the yinyang.
Sunshine and moonlit.
Ember and aqua.
Estival and aestival.
The opposite wards have always been enemies, but it wasn't very serious.
But ever since a huge war spanning out a decade before, they have become huge enemies.
Sunshine, ember, and estival on one end of the battle.
Moonlit, aqua, and aestival on the other end.
It's very confusing and weird, but you finally start to get it.
It was finally starting to feel real.
"So why are you being the guide during such a huge event? Why can you go to other wards without being killed?"
Aries sighs, "I don't know. Every new person that comes is either a warrior with them or a warrior against them."
You shift uncomfortably from foot to foot.
"You chose your ward. The city you'll pledge loyalty to. If you chose the wards opposite of Sunshine City...well..."
Aries holds out her hand to you.
You take it, confused.
"Where are we going?" You ask.
"Lunae Lumen Civitate*, Moonlit City. Ward Two."
Then she says: "Apparet!**"
There's a bright flash of light, then, Sunshine City fades from view. End of Part Four~ *city moon light[latin]

Cites in the Clouds ~Part Five~ You arrive in a dark area instantly, and it's an insane contrast to Sunshine City.
The only similarity is that the ground is soft and fluffy with clouds, but something is different about this area...
"Lunae Lumen," Aries says. "Home to the solemn and quiet. Home to people who uses dark magick the best."
"Can you use dark magick?" you ask Aries. Aries shakes her head.
"I'm a user of light and fire magick. I can't use the rest very well," she says, no bitterness or resentment in her voice.
You stare around you. The moon is shining down and it's actually quite beautiful.
You realize with a jolt that it's a darker mirror image of Sunshine City—it still has those walls—but here, it's silver walls. And silver buildings.
There's a tower further in like Sunshine City.
"That's where the Moonlit City Dux lives," Aries explains. "It's actually quite nice."
"Aren't...Moonlit and Sunshine at war?" you ask. "Shouldn't you...not be allowed here?"
"I'm either bringing an enemy or a Warrior to them," she says simply.
Aries gives you a hard look, "Do you think you belong here? The polar opposite of Sunshine? Does the land call out to you?"
You hesitate. "I... you trail off.
Aries nods, as if understanding something. "You haven't seen all the Wards yet. We're off to Ignis Urbem*, Ember City."
Before you can say anything, Aries says, "Apparet!" End of Part Five~ *city of fire[latin]
