Just a bit of stupid curiosity after work.
Asclepius had felt no particular need or desire to hurry home after her shift, nor was she eager to go patrolling. Though she was certainly healing faster than she had expected, the girl's legs still bore a lovely set of purple blotches, and it ached to move certain ways. Maybe Chaonis and his stupid risks were onto something, though; the Senshi of Medicine had found it relaxing lately to just be on top of tall buildings. The breeze, the view ... there was no particular adrenaline rush necessary, for her, but there was something about doing things she could not do as a regular person that made the seifuku a nice escape. Sometimes.
The obvious choice tonight was the top of the hospital.
She steered clear of the emergency area, since there was a landing pad there for the helicopter and therefore a reason to keep a careful eye on that part of the roof. If nothing else, it was best to just stay out of the way. Instead, Asclepius worked her way up the step-like series of outbuildings that had been added on over the years without terribly much regard to the overall layout of the place. It made a nice route to the top of the old inpatient center, from which she could peer down at the helicopter if she wanted.
For the moment, Asclepius rested with her back to a metal duct near the center of the rooftop, peering out at the rest of Destiny City. She kept some attention on her inner sense of energies in the area, not wanting to be surprised again by either a Negaverse lieutenant or another senshi who felt like scolding her. Or anything else, really. Just ten or so minutes up here, to take in some fresh air before going home.

Requiem was nearing the end of her patrolling for the night when she sensed a faint energy signature. It didn't appear to be threatening - it seemed to be a Senshi - but it was coming from seemingly above. Eyeing around, she sensed the signature from coming on top of one of the buildings. Curious as to what may be going on, and seeing she still had time before she had to check in with the Blood Moon Court member on watch duty, she hurried up to the roof of the building. To her surprise, the Senshi she found was one she had met before. Although she couldn't remember the name, she knew she owed a great deal of thanks to the Senshi before her.
"Hello there," Requiem greeted. "I don't know if you remember who I am, but I remember you. I'm Sailor Requiem, the Senshi of Burial. You saved my life a few weeks back; you repaired my injured leg on that night..." She paused. She didn't really want to go into details about that night. It was a messy story that reminded her of how bad things got out of hand. "...well, you may remember which night. I wanted to say thank you. And I don't say that often."

Asclepius noticed the energy signature milling about nearby, but it did not cross her mind that the other senshi, whoever it was, was also making her way to the top of the hospital to join her. She turned just in time to see a familiar senshi in brown lace hopping up onto the roof with her.
"Hello," the girl in white responded, carefully, but relaxed visibly at the other senshi's thanks. It actually made her feel a lot better, to hear Requiem say it, since the Senshi of Medicine had taken heat for taking the time to help her instead of fighting. Asclepius did not do it for the appreciation alone, but ... this in particular meant a lot to her.
"I'm glad I could help you," she replied, stepping closer and extending a hand in greeting and acknowledgement. "And I'm glad we can meet under better circumstances. I'm Sailor Asclepius, Senshi of Medicine."
Introductions completed, the senshi in white became aware of the beginnings of tears forming in her eyes, and rubbed the corner of one eye with a finger. "Ah, sorry," she said dismissively, glancing past Requiem at the skyline behind her. "Wind up here makes my eyes water a little. But the view is more than worth it, I think."

Requiem’s eyes widened at the announcement of the other Senshi’s sphere. While she had figured the Senshi had something to do with healing arts, the confirmation of this got her excited. There weren’t many Senshi out there who had the ability to heal or aide – in fact, other than Asclepius, she couldn’t think of a single one that could. Her sphere was very interesting, and she would make a valuable member of any team.
“It is very beautiful up here,” she said as she approached the other Senshi and looked over the ledge of the building, taking a nice long look at the view of the city. She recalled the last time she was at the top of a building with another Senshi, staring out into the skyline – although in that case, the Senshi was corrupt – Sailor Alkaid. And their conversation was much less candid than this.
“Medicine?” she asked, turning away from the view and back to the other girl. “What is it exactly that you do? I know that you were able to help me, but I wonder how far your medicine can help. God knows the people of this town – and especially the Senshi find themselves in a lot of battles - could use someone by their side to fix them back up to good health. Do you belong on any team, or mostly just work alone?”

Asclepius nodded slowly, falling silent as they both took a look at the lights of Destiny City. She had been on a roof with Nemesis when the other more highly-ranked senshi had told her off for her devotion to healing instead of fighting. This conversation was much more comfortable. When Requiem spoke again, she looked over to the other girl, and shook her head, "What I did for you was study and work to me. My senshi magic lets someone else use theirs again." A mirthless smile crossed her face for a moment. "It would be nice if I could just shout some words and fix everyone's wounds, but I can't do that."
She took a deep breath and sighed, then gestured to the buildings upon which they stood. "I was studying to be a doctor before I... before I found out I was a senshi. I work here at the hospital. I'm not finished with school and all official yet, but I am working towards it, and I have helped save some people." Asclepius clasped her hands together behind her back. "It is good, that I can help, and that there are plenty of other people who can help at the hospital, but it is still quite a job."
The Senshi of Medicine glanced to Requiem again at mention of a team, and shook her head, curls bobbing. "Oh, I... I can't really work well alone," she admitted with reluctance. "But I don't think I'm part of any team." She laughed once. "I just keep seeming to run into Sailor Chaonis. But other than that, no."

"Any team would be lucky to have you," Requiem started. Of course, she was thinking of one team in particular: the Blood Moon Court. However, the very subject of the Blood Moon Court has become a bit touchy to Senshi lately, as she learned through her break up with Orion. Not to mention the night that they had met was due to the actions of the Blood Moon Court, although those sorts of details were far more hazy to those outside of the Court. Would it even be something the girl would be interested in? It certainly wasn't for everybody, even if it was the pro-active stance that was needed.
Then again, it was also a time of strife within the Court, as Ares was missing in action and Birhan was filling in the role for new leadership. There was something going on, and it had been a little unsettling for Requiem.
She bit her bottom lip. She might as well come out with, or beat around the bush. "So, have you ever heard of the Blood Moon Court?"

A team. It was funny, because in her daily life, in all her years in Crystal and now in Sovereign Heights, Marcella had hated team projects because she was not happy trusting parts of the work to others. On more than one occasion, she had had to carry other group members who could not or would not want to do their share of the work.
And now, as a senshi, Asclepius had a power that only worked on the powers of others. Chaonis had helped her to see that there was some worth to her, but still, the fact remained that her magic did nothing on its own except get whatever she threw it at a little wet.
"Thank you," she replied to the compliment after perhaps a moment too long; Asclepius sounded sincere, in spite of her own inner doubts. At the mention of the Blood Moon Court, however, her expression changed from a sort of neutral smile to a frown of thought. Nemesis had mentioned some group, but only by acronym and Asclepius could not recall it.
Shaking her head, the Senshi of Medicine responded, "I do not believe I have." She had a feeling what was coming next, but Asclepius figured she would hear Requiem out.

Requiem knew she could not say too much and reveal the secrets of the Blood Moon Court, but she could reveal the basic details. “We, the Blood Moon Court, are a group of Senshi who have given up on simply defending the planet while we wait for some princess of fairy tales – that is, Serenity – to show up. We take a pro-active stance, go after the Negaverse and eliminate the problem at the source.” She explained in the most basic way that she could. “Its pretty logical, really. This war won’t end if we’re just waiting for someone to end it for us.”
“There are, of course, rumors about us,” she started. “But they’ve been greatly exaggerated. We are…” she paused. “Hardcore. But we’re not monsters. We’re the good guys. But we’re ready to fight, and looking to fight, because that means the end of this. No more Negaverse, no more deaths, no more disappearances, no more tragedies.”
“Is there anything so wrong with that?” she said with a pout. She was speaking more out of her personal past issues more than in direct conversation to the girl, but she felt it was a fitting question nonetheless.

Asclepius' features remained impassive as she listened to Requiem, and she nodded. She had heard nothing about anyone in particular ending the war, though she had heard, as all senshi had, of Serenity. Whether the Moon Princess would be a boon to the senshi, or bring about their victory outright, though, the Senshi of Medicine sympathized with the practical approach.
She did not think she had met any senshi just waiting around, though.
She was starting to wonder if this was the court that Nemesis had spoken about, since Asclepius knew that she and Requiem were at least acquainted. And then the Senshi of Burial felt the need to bring up the rumors to discount them. Asclepius was not interested in associating with the court to which Nemesis belonged, since the Eternal Senshi had all but confirmed the 'rumors' when Asclepius herself had mentioned them.
Crossing her arms and shifting her weight to one leg, she considered her reply for a moment. Having had time to work out her frustrations about what Nemesis had told her, and come to the realization that really, all of the senshi were on the same side when it came to fighting the Negaverse, Asclepius was reluctant to respond unkindly to Requiem's offer. The practical approach, ending the Negaverse to prevent their attacks entirely, was a sound one. She was just not at all in line with the apparent tactics that the court had adopted.
But she did not want to completely alienate them, if they might be able to help.
"I- I'm not sure I quite describe myself as 'hardcore'," Asclepius admitted finally. "I have a job at the hospital here in my civilian time. I know that's not stopping the Negaverse at the source, as you suggest, but it is still a job that needs to be done. I... I can't stand by and give up my job as a nurse entirely to spend more time fighting as a senshi."
The pout was a bit much. So the Senshi of Medicine pouted back. "I am only human, and only have so much time to give to each life I lead."
She had had an idea recently, though, to see if there might be some way to purify the Negaverse. Remove the enemy combatants without killing them. But she would wait, for now, to see how Requiem would take her response.

"I respect that," Requiem said. If the girl hadn't had a serious job or was reluctant to do her part all, then perhaps the Senshi of Burial would have been more forceful and assertive. But she was already doing her part to save lives as it was, and that was all that Requiem really cared about. Sure, an alliance or some rapport would be nice, but that wasn't totally off the table.
"But do remember, you are more than just human," she said encouragingly. "As a human, you save lives. That makes you more than just human. And you are a Senshi. That makes you even more than just human. You are super-human, so keep doing what you are doing, but know that you are capable of more. Don't limit yourself."

The Senshi of Medicine allowed herself to smile at the encouragement and nodded, uncrossing her arms. "Alright," she replied. Marcella was never one to limit herself, at least with regards to what she wanted to do, and the uniform of a senshi hardly obscured that fire in her. She certainly had plans alright.
But, well, perhaps now was not the time to bring them up. Asclepius had needed to see Requiem again, and was glad now that she knew the girl had come out of her ordeal okay. She did not want to linger too long, really, especially since the tiredness of her work day was starting to penetrate her consciousness, through the shroud of her super-human power.
"We can keep in touch," she went on, taking out her phone to scan in the other Senshi. An ally was an ally, she hoped; if nothing else Asclepius might be able to change her mind in the future, even though she doubted now that she would. "Pleased to have met you, Requiem, and I'm glad you're feeling better."

"It was a pleasure meeting you again as well," Requiem said. She mindlessly gave a small curtsy, and instantly wanted to slap herself across the face for doing so. The simpler actions in social situations such as greetings and farewells were always an awkward spot of uncertainty for the teenage Senshi. She took out her phone as well, and scanned Asclepius with her phone. "Hopefully we'll meet again and be great allies. But I must check in with my superiors in the Court, they need to know I made it through the night safely."
She waved farewell as she leapt off the roof, hopping from rooftop to rooftop into the night.
