Hobbies:
Group Photography -- Some people like to just be behind a camera and take pictures of anything that catches their eye. Not Bernadette! It started with a job at the mall’s photo shop and has blossomed into a bit of a hobby. Sometimes, on beautiful days out, Bernadette will take her old Polaroid camera to the park and offers families a memory to put in their scrapbook. Kids, grandparents, any group that looks happy she’ll stop and offer a photo. Singles need not apply!
Crime Dramas -- Law and Order, CSI, NCIS, Bones, Criminal Minds, Without a Trace, she has them all on her DVR. Slowly Bernadette is building up her DVD collection as much as her meager means will allow her to, so that she can spend blissful hours curled up on her couch with a good crime drama. She absolutely has a crush on Derek Morgan.
Virtues:
Steady as the beating drum -- The sun will fall out of the sky and the moon will burn with green fire before Bernadette will ever allow herself to be considered or called unreliable. If she says she will be there, she will be there. If you ask her to do something she will do it to the best of her ability. She would never make a promise she didn’t intend to keep and if you really want to lay your agonizingly volatile secrets on someone you couldn’t do better than her.
She is always on time and if you ask nicely, will stay late to make sure everything is done properly. If she knows that you rely on her, you couldn’t make her happier in the whole world. Considering she grew up in a most unreliable place, nothing attracts her or soothes her like reliability and steadfastness. This is why she doesn’t feel daunted by the Negaverse. Though there is chaos in places there is no more steady and organized place to be. She fears the senshi more because they are, if nothing else, the essence of chaotic being.
If I want it, I’ll work for it -- Part of Bernadette’s core ideal set is the ideal that if anything is worth having, it is worth working hard for. Bernadette rarely cuts corners and is that person that you call in when some slacker is making up excuses to not come into work on a nice day. Yeah she could probably find some nice boy or sob out her story to a bleeding-heart Crystal student to get that jacket she’s been eying...but where is the point in that?
If you want it, you will work for it. Plain and simple, end of story. Put on the song Independent Women by Destiny’s Child and you’ll have Bernadette’s idea of this ideal.
Great wide world -- What is there to be afraid of in the world? Okay, besides the fact that everyone might and probably hates you. But look past that. Are you really sitting here daydreaming about moving to Paris one day? What’s stopping you? It’s not that scary!
Bernadette was raised in a small, overcrowded orphanage in Africa for children who had either been abandoned or lost their parents to the civil wars. From there she studied and made herself stand out before coming to America all by herself to try and make a better life. What is there to be afraid of after that?
No, Bernadette isn’t afraid of the world. There are people that are afraid to go places and do things because they are afraid of them but not her. She knows what she wants in life and she will not stop until she has it. The only thing that might ever stand in her way is losing the approval and making sad someone she considers worth having nearby. She tries to impart this courage to step out and make your life what you want it to be on everyone she meets.
She even does seminars! Sometimes. It’s part of her tuition deal but it’s one of those things that Bernadette steps up to and speaks into the microphone with a strong voice. After all, there’s nothing to be afraid of!
Flaws:
Are you happy with me? -- Bernadette, in school and at work, seeks approval. She craves it, needs it, has to have it to continue on. She works so hard that without some kind of validation she grows bitter and withers until someone comes along with a compliment. Vain? Absolutely. But it’s not a physical sort of vanity because that sort of thing costs money that Bernadette doesn’t have.
Oh no her vanity is of a hard-working, mental sort. Do you like the pictures she shot? Oh please tell her you do! Was her half of the project done up to par? She’ll redo it if it wasn’t! Please tell her what you think! And it better be positive because if you so much as hint that you are disappointed she will fall all over herself to make it better.
Part of this stems from trying to stand out in a crowd of children just like her. Hell, the only reason she is in Destiny City is because she worked hard to do things just right and earn the approval of everyone around her. If you don’t approve of what she’s doing...oh she doesn’t even want to think about it!
In other words if you ever wanted to enslave this girl, all you have to do is carefully hint that she is not quite pleasing to you as a friend or worker. She will then do everything in her power, exhausting herself until she makes you happy with her again.
Relentless -- Unfortunately there is a darker side to ‘steady’ and that is ‘relentless’. Once she puts herself towards something Bernadette never stops. If she promises that she will do something for you or get it no matter how difficult that something might be, she will do the best she can to make it happen. Never, ever, tell Bernadette to remind you about something because until you do it, you will have her hounding you until it’s done. After all you asked her to remind you! Make one mistake around Bernadette and you will hear about it until the end of time. You would think this would war with her need for approval and making people happy but if you’re not the sort of person that she approves of, why would she want your approval?
She never lets go. She never gives up. Bernadette’s memory is long and her grasp on things is tight. Her intensity might be a bit daunting to people around her, in fact. What else can happen when you grow up in an unruly orphanage with nuns for parents? But if you can just learn the balance you could have actually a very loyal friend....as long as you don’t mind her showing up on your doorstep at 2am to remind you that you have an appointment in the morning every now and then.
What do you mean I shouldn't go into that abandoned factory? -- Losing her fear of the unknown has tended to make Bernadette a bit...reckless. She will run into any situation she finds interesting headlong without really thinking twice about what she is doing. Someone usually has to explain to her why it is a bad thing and as a last resort, say that they do not approve and will not support her running straight on into danger like a battering ram.
Determined to live her life to the fullest, this teen doesn't usually take into account that while you only have one life to live...you have only one life to live. If you lose that life doing something stupid you can't just hit the reset button and start over. Perhaps the crime dramas are finally getting to her head?
Sure she would never run into a line of guns aimed at her but she doesn't equate that dark and scary alleyway or this fluffy looking senshi with something as dire as that. Plus come on there's only three of them down there! Wouldn't you like to know what they're saying? What they're planning?
She sure would.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Eyes: Sapphire blue eyes.
Hair: White, knee-length hair that is braided with a metal circle at the end of it. Her hair has grown in recent months and it’s the best way to keep some of the length contained around the ring.
Face: Dark-skin in an angular face.
POWERED FORM
Senshi: Azurite, Senshi of the Thermosphere
Challenge: Chill out for awhile.
Fuku: IT’S A SECRET. No really I basically plan to just work with whatever colorist I snag one-on-one.
Sailor Scout Attack: Azurite Sphere Ripple!
With a subtle snap of her fingers the air ripples in front of a person in a bubble effect that extends out ten feet around the person. Inside of this bubble the air starts to heat up and thin over thirty seconds. When the thirty seconds are ended, the bubble pops and the air returns to normal. The effect is also broken if the person walks out of the sphere.
Affects of thin air on the body: Headache is just the start. Symptoms of acute mountain sickness, or AMS, the most common mountain malady experienced above 9,000 feet, include nausea, dizziness and extreme fatigue. Sufferers also vomit, cough or have difficulty sleeping. AMS feels like the flu, seasickness or a bad hangover.
How you react to this is 100% up to the player.

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Azurite Sphere Ripple! -- Power Up!
The bubble's radius extends to 15 feet and the air heats faster though the duration remains the same.
Eternal Sailor Attack: Azurite Sphere Ripple! -- Ultimate!
The ultimate form of her attack. The sphere is almost unnoticeable save one or two ripples as the duration remains thirty seconds long and extends to twenty feet around her target. The air heats to almost unbearable temperatures and makes the air thin almost immediately.
